These are the most authentic tacos al pastor in the Bay Area! They have a proper spit roasted pork (trompo) with pineapple, just like the ones you’ll find throughout Mexico. The adobo marinated pork is sliced perfectly thin with a slice of pineapple. All of the salsas are legit, and don’t sleep on their California burrito if you’re looking for something more substantial. The handmade tortilla has amazing texture, and all ingredients are incredibly fresh. This is hands down one of the best taco trucks in the Bay Area.
We are staying nearby and needed a late-night snack. We ordered the burrito, three tacos (chorizo, chicken, asada/beef), and two vampiros. The staff was kind and offered us all the fixings (onions, peppers, limes, cilantro, radishes) when we picked up our order. We couldn’t wait and ate right in the covered bar area. Our favorites were the red and green salsas. We would definitely go back!
They been on my list since I found out Leo’s had a truck in the bay!! Just as I remembered when I first had it in LA almost a decade ago! Tacos come plain and you get all the toppings, limes and salsas in little cute baggies togo. Definitely top 2 pastor truck easily.
Delicious carne asada tacos and Al pastor sopes. Each taco was $3. Toppings like salsas, onion, cilantro and radish are provided on the side. Sopes are incredibly expensive for their size at $7.50. $5 would have been a better price. Suspiciously there are no prices on the menu. Fast and friendly service. Overall this is a welcome addition to the Outer Sunset!
Locals here are saying the best Taco’s in SF. People hanging out enjoying dinner. Across from beach on corner, on site parking lot and street parking. Look for the Motel 6 sign. Hot Champurrado at 6:30pm to warm up 😍 Thank you for your service Liz!
Very delicious! You might have to wait a bit because it can get quite crowded, but it’s totally worth it. The beef taco is amazing!
My new favorite taco truck in the city! The first L.A. taco truck posted by Ocean Beach!!! Al Pastor with pineapple is the bomb! It’s so good! I trekked across the city to have them! Worth it!!!! You can take it to the beach or eat in the parking lot. They have standing metal tables. Make sure to get all the sauces, cilantro and onion, lime, cooked onions and jalapeños to add to the tacos! They have other stuff which I need to try but the tacos! Dang!!!!!!!! Heavenly!!!!
This place is legendary in Los Angeles, and for good reason. The food at this location is just as good. Parking - there is a small lot that was about 30% full on a Saturday at 2 PM. Maybe it gets more crowded as weather improves in summer. Tacos - you must try the al pastor. They are different from al pastor throughout the city, with each taco served with pineapple. The suadero was good too, but it can be a bit fatty. Tacos are $3 but some meats are $4 (e.g., lengua). Huarache - the bottom is a masa that is similar to a thicker tortilla but thinner than a sope. Toppings were great, like a sope or gordita. This was $14.
Finally got to try Leo's 🔥 and it was worth the wait! Al pastor, carne asada, carnitas tacos were richly flavored and so satisfying on an empty stomach. They do not come dressed so be sure to request your choice of sauce and accoutrements. Red and green sauces add just the right amount of heat and acid. Glad they're settling into this Great Highway location. Will definitely be back. I'm sure the weekend lines will be busy, so if you don't want to wait, stop by on a weekday early afternoon, except for Mondays when they're closed.
Leo’s did not come to SF to play around. Their location on Labrea is the best al pastor I’ve had in LA and this location might be even better. Al pastor off the trompo is just perfect.
Great taco truck by the beach. Pastor meat was very tasty. I just wish the salsa could be a bit spicy. Also no pricing on the menu.
A fantastic taco truck with a surprising variety of options. It was almost difficult selecting what I wanted because of all the options. I decided to try the recommended taco al pastor. Looking into the truck it is very impressive what they have set up. Their kitchen is very authentic looking and the food that comes out of it shows the care and preparation they put into it. It was very flavorful and the corn tortillas were top quality. I decided to also get something a little more fusion so I ordered the California burrito as well. It was extremely flavorful. I would definitely order it again. The service was very friendly and fairly fast. I asked a couple questions to the cashier and she generously answered them and took my order with a smile. There were a lot of people ordering, but I still got my food within 10 to 15 minutes. The atmosphere is a parking lot. Not sure what more can be expected. They do have several steel tables set up to eat at, which is very nice. Although, I would not recommend eating there on a windy day seeing as it's right next to the beach. That being said, a high quality taco truck right next to the beach isn't an amazing concept. I highly recommend trying this place.
I’ve been waiting for Leo’s since I moved to the bay around 10 years ago. It’s an absolute dream that they have a presence in the Bay Area. Great al pastor! The other meats are also great. Would definitely make the drive up. They take cards/Apple Pay

Awesome taco truck at Ocean Beach. It's right by the Motel 6 at the start of the Great Highway walking area. They do need to list prices on their food, that's annoying.

One of the best mexican food truck. Chicken tacos was really good. Tawa fried small chunks of chicken with great flavor. We also tried tortas. It was also great. Their sauces were adding extra flavor on top. Best place to grab some food and enjoy the ocean beach
Their al pastor is so good! Got the al pastor tacos and the hawaiana quesadilla and both were delicious! Everything was fresh and tasty, and they’re not stingy with their salsa! Really nice service and quick wait. There are no chairs — only standing tables, so I got it to go.

Leo’s Taco Truck serves up some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, paired perfectly with their spicy fries. The food is flavorful, fresh, and worth every bite. The staff is friendly and welcoming, adding to the experience. Just keep in mind there aren’t any chairs—only tables to stand at—but the incredible taste more than makes up for it.
This truck rules. As advertised the Al Pastor is incredible. I also had a burrito and it was very tasty.

So I always go to their truck(s) when I'm in LA (since that's where they're based from. This weekend, we went to SF for Father's Day and saw them posted out at Ocean Beach at the end of The Great Highway! My kid loves their El Pastor Tacos, and it's true it's the best I have had, too. This time, we had carne Asad this time because we had El Pastor 2 was ago at the Sunset Blvd location in LA. This location was a little light on folks, maybe because it was Father's Day and people were out dining elsewhere. Employees were SUPER FRIENDLY as always. However, it was less waiting for me!! Their spit fire was in the truck, unlike the other ones out in LA, which is outside like a show for the customers. Also, there was no salsa bar outside, so you have to ask for the condiments, which I am totally fine with... I recommend their pickled onions with habaneros and the orange habanero sauce if you like spicy. I'm glad we found them because we ended the day watching the sunset while eating tacos!
Meh. There are much better tacos in the city. Was hoping this would be mind blowing but ended up underwhelmed. Ordered 2 al pastor tacos, 1 cabeza taco, and 1 vampire al pastor. The taco tortillas weren’t warm, the meat was already room temp and pretty dry. Crispy tortillas on the vampiro were nice and pairs well with the al pastor, but not worthy of a trip to try out or get again. The nice part is they offer grilled onions, cilantro, raw onions, and all the salsas you want. Bad part is you can’t really eat at that location because no tables and the wind is untenable next to ocean beach.

Leos Taco Truck is in prime location if your at the beach and need a quick bite. I was driving Uber in the area and stopped here for a quick lunch. They had a solid selection of items on the menu as well as meat selections. I decided on 4 Asada tacos which came out to $13.40 not the worst or best price for tacos but in San Francisco I'm not complaining too much. ---Service --- However the server is wasnt very personalable more like hurry up and order "here's your reacipt" but still professional maybe just overworked. ---FOOD--- The tacos however are served with no condiments (cilantro, onion, salsa, ect.) However they hand you tacos with just meat on them and nothing else then give you pre portioned bags of condiments to add yourself. Strange but not a deal breaker. The salsa was good but without the salsa the meat was dry. You have to be sure a coat the meat with it. The tortillas were good and each taco has 2 tortillas so I could have easily turned 2 into 4 ina pinch. --- Atmosphere --- They had a small set of standing tables where you could eat and assemble your tacos and that was good. All in all 3 stars, nothing to write home about but if I'm in the area I'd go back for a quick "cheap" lunch and to see if the dryness of the meat is a regular occurrence or a fluke.

I always see a long line at this food truck every time I pass by, so I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered a burrito, but from the very first bite, something tasted off. At first, I thought maybe it was because the truck is right by the beach and there was some sand but when I opened it up to check, I was shocked to find a bunch of burnt scraps from the bottom of the pan inside. It was honestly inedible. In my opinion, a business serving food in this condition shouldn’t even be operating. It’s unacceptable to sell something like that to people.
