The place is clean and peacefully...except for the regetton music...will not say it's perfect but Everything about this place is so special that I don't feel comfortable writing this because it will make it too popular ....deservingly so. I'll recommend..??.....just everything!!....the only thing not eatible are the utensils....and the napkins!....unless you are a goat!🪴

While we do not live in San Francisco, my husband and I make it a point to eat at Montecristo Restaurant #2 every year as part of his birthday celebration. The staff is friendly, and they take the time to answer questions about their dishes. The food is amazing! You can taste the high-quality ingredients in all of their dishes. And the meals are freshly made once you place your order. I would highly recommend Montecristo #2 if you want fresh, authentic, Salvadoran food with a smile

Montecristo 2 has the best of the best authentic Salvadoran food and pupusas in town! Pupusas are always made fresh and flavorful. Welcoming atmosphere and fast service. Montecristo 2 never disappoints.

Really good! The palm flower main was different, intensely flavored, and delicious. The sides it came with were superb as well - particularly delicious rice, unusually tasty beans, and homemade tortillas. The pupusas were good, but no better than the other pupusa places on that stretch of mission. But overall a really good place for tasty, good value Salvadoran yummyness.

This place is really good with authentic food. The place is small and cozy. I really enjoyed it here. The waitress was nice as well. Even tho their Horchata is a little too grainy for me, the rest of the food was great.

ITS A VERY SMALL RESTAURANT SO YOU NEED TO HAVE PATIENCE CAUSE IT GETS BUSY SPECIALLY ON WEEKENDS THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC I REALLY LIKE THE PUPUSAS THE ONLY DOWNSIDE ITS THE SERVICE IT WAS NOT GOOD AND WE ORDERED THE APPETIZER PLATE AND IT NEVER MADE IT TO THE TABLE ITS ONE IF THOSE RESTAURANT THAT YOU CANT EAT AND RELAX CAUSE THEY KEEP FORGETTING EVERYTHING AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP REMINDING THEM 👎👎 TOO BAD CAUSE THE FOOD WAS GOOD

The service is good but the food is not. I guess for the price that’s what you get. My meat was warm and the rice lumpy and cold😒. The tortillas came late. First and last time we eat here. We only came because it’s next to Salvadorian bakery.

Ordered the fried fish. It was burnt and all the seasoning was on the inside of the fish. Had to add my own seasoning. The salad it comes with was very small and very basic. I wouldn't recommend ordering this dish. However, this review is for the fried fish. Pupusas here are pretty good.
