Love this new spot in the neighborhood and all the Mexican-seafood dishes, not too pricey and an awesome date night. HIGHLY recommend ordering the Hamachi collarbone if available, that was definitely the knock out item (we made sure we had every bite and ate this so fast so we didn’t get a picture) Cod tostadas, Hen of Wood tacos and the Aguachile were also super delicious, pair it with some Mezcal cocktails and it’s a was a great meal! Also love the vibe and decor, it’s modern and has an intimate setting, not too loud or bright which is always nice at dinner.

Came here on a Saturday evening with three others. We enjoyed four different beverages, including a vino Verde and a Mezcaroni, a negroni made with Mezcal. The latter was smoky and quite strong, very nice. Then we enjoyed roasted Brussels sprouts (two bowls), which had a vinegary dressing with onions and a brightening herb and frijolitos, essentially a her black been cup with warm, fresh tortilla chips. For entrees, which were light but sufficient after heavy appetizers, two of us had fish tostadas and two had mushroom tacos. I loved the mushroom tacos, which have a rich umami that was set off perfectly by the low-key corn tortillas and gentle avocado crema. The host and the waiter were very welcoming and helpful on suggesting dishes when we asked for advice. Cheery atmosphere with large wooden bar and beautiful jungle mural. You can see from my photos that we couldn't resist digging in before we started taking the pictures.

I love Otra. Maybe I love it a little bit too much sometimes, but that’s a good thing as far as I’m concerned. The food is incredible and the menu is created by Chef Nick with love and fresh flavors. The bar is ran by consummate professionals. The service is top notch, the staff is friendly, kind, sweet, and have great senses of humor. Special shout out to Chad, Nikki, Taru, Vanessa, and Karla. The atmosphere is terrific. I could spend the entire day there, and I have. I’ve recommended Otra to so many of my friends, and we all agree, this is a place well worth checking out. The drinks are top notch, the food is delicious, and the vibe is always on point. If I could afford it, it would spend 35 hours a week there lol

Elevated Mexican food! This is fine dining but with great prices. I got the fish tacos and my husband got the beef tacos. They all were incredible! Their Horchata also tasted extra fancy, which was fun. We got the black bean dip appetizer as well, which we would definitely recommend. It’s big enough for 2-3 people to share. The tacos are small so I would definitely recommend getting an appetizer as well. The portions will leave it satisfied and maybe wanting dessert as well. Everything seemed very authentic. Would highly recommend coming here!

Fantastic spot for Mexican food in one of San Francisco’s best neighborhoods. The food is excellent, the cocktails are great (can’t go wrong with a margarita here), and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Might be some of the best beef ive ever had, paired greatly with a cocktail, this is the perfect 6pm food in the city. The sun hits the restaurant and fill the outside seating creating a tourist feeling without going anywhere. The chips are proper chips too. Thick, crispy, and hold anything you put on them. Whether your visiting town or a regular in the city, this is a place you want to try.

Stunning tacos at Otra, probably the best I had in San Francisco. On the spicy side (as it should be), all of the tacos are to die for. Especially the mushroom tacos and beef tacos. The tostadas are delicious as well: made with super fresh ingredients, they are also crispy, which is unfortunately rare to find. The aguachile is absolutely great. First time I have a really good aguachile outside of Mexico! They have a wide variety of mezcals as well, and good cocktails. The service si great. Perfect place for vegetarians with non-vegetarian friends. A lot of veggie options and some great meat a and seafood options. All dishes were packed with flavor. The tortillas used are so authentic and expertly made. Definitely get the Frijolitos! The drinks are also highly recommended, loved the Old Oaxacan which is a great mezcal old fashion.

We were so excited to come try Otra out after we heard they had good mezcal cocktails. Well the rumors are true, they do have great mezcal cocktails as well as other excellent drinks AND the food was incredible. We had the chips and salsas, hen of the woods tacos, and the pozole, all of which were superb. I think I read they make their own chips from masa and these chips are truly special. I could not stop eating them, and we got a second plate. We can't wait to come back here and try more of the menu!

Absolutely wonderful, the team behind Son’s Addition has done it again! The aguachile was outstanding, and the tacos were super tasty! The conchas borrachas, hamachi collar, and pork tenderloin were also delicious. Flan & tres-leches were also excellent, and make sure to try the yum cocktails. This place is a must-try!

This restaurant offers a variety of tacos and they are delicious! I really love their pastor tacos and their salad. Drinks are great too. The ambiance is cozy and intimate and the owner is very kind and thoughtful. I'll definitely come back again!

Unfortunately the chips were almost inedible because of how salty they were. It was shocking how salty they were. Tried the Al Pastor tacos and the tortilla was good, the meat wasn't really Al Pastor flavor or texture at all. Just tasted like mildly seasoned regular pork. Unfortunately not a great experience.
