Solid experience. If I’m traveling, I’m looking for solid food that tastes amazing and not to nitpick on how “authentic” it is. Spicy Tuna Sushi Bar had quality fish, excellent portions and their fusion options were creative and delicious.

Every dish was absolutely fantastic and the service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. We had both cooked and raw dishes and both were perfectly done. All the time at home is probably one of the best sushi meals I’ve ever had The way they present the wasabi is adorable!

Always ask for the fish of the day in addition to whatever else you want. You will not regret it. Also ask if the have Toro, which is not on the menu but I figured since they were bringing in fresh fish daily, they would have it and BINGO. Each fish only yields roughly 2 pieces of O-toro. This is the most delicious melt in your mouth nigiri you'll ever have. Also, if you like cilantro, get the no name roll. It's incredibly delicious. Immense flavors that come together perfectly in my opinion. That cilantro sauce is on another level. Great staff also. Friendly and great service. Must try this place if you like sushi and you're anywhere near Cabo San Lucas or obviously Cabo San Jose. It's worth the drive/uber ride from San Lucas is what I'm trying to say.

Great fresh fish. I was not disappointed. The staff was amazing, good prices. If you are staying at the resorts across the street, I recommend you give them a try for dinner. The quality of the food and presentation is much better than the ones at the resorts.

Located a Ross the street from Cabo Azul, this place is the best value for the cost in the hotel area. We have been coming here for several years now. The sashimi and sushi are fresh and good. Suggest the gyoza, a little different than normal with a bit spiciness, and the black and white catch of the day sashimi. The catch of the day was tuna today! Drink! 2 for 1 Cadillac Margherita are better than Javier's in the resort and about a quarter the cost. The star fruit wedge was a nice touch and was yummy too! If nothing else, go out of the resort for a drink. Probably one of the safest areas in Los Cabos is this street of hotels.

Recently my husband and I came on a vacation to Cabo. We visited a wonderful and beautiful Spicy Tuna Sushi Bar restaurant. Food was amazing, very delicious and fresh! The best sushi ever! Ricardo took such a great care of us. He was very nice, professional and friendly. The atmosphere was incredible. All staff were wonderful and friendly. Location is great. We highly recommend Spicy Tuna Sushi Bar restaurant to everyone!

If you're in San Jose del Cabo and reading this, stop what you're doing and go visit Spicy Tuna asap. With all of the amazing food available in town this place stood out as a very high quality experience every single time I visited. I stayed close and happened to see it while walking by one day. I was a bit curious how a Mexican chef would attempt sushi but all doubts were quickly erased with the first roll I tasted. So fresh. Well layered quality ingredients. Excellent service. A beautiful view of the main strip and amazing service from Brandon and the other staff members. This will be the first place I visit anytime I am back in town. My highest recommendation!

Wow . Wish we would have come here sooner. Last night in San Jose Del Cabo and by far our best meal in the last 3 weeks. Our waiter was awesome and picked out perfect choices for us. We ate here twice while we stayed across the street at Cabo Azul. The service was friendly and checked on us several times throughout the meal. On our first visit we ordered the spicy edamame for an appetizer, it was really good. For our second visit we ordered oysters as an appetizer and they were delicious. On both of our visits we shared several different rolls, including a tempura roll, a rainbow roll, a mango roll, and a a tropical roll. All the sushi was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend.

Sushi in Mexico? This was a surprise. Live music was a plus. We ordered ramen, chicken teriyaki, catch of the day sashimi, octopus and two different spicy rolls. Service was quick. Fooled was excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely return before we leave.

My celiac husband and I visited due to a recent review mentioning it was a gluten friendly spot :) Our server was helpful, although many of the rolls contain imitation crab (gluten) or deep fried shrimp. He was able to make some substitutions for us(fresh crab to replace the imitation ) but we were a bit limited in our choices due to our restrictions. Please be aware that all the sauces also contain gluten, although they did provide tamari as a substitute. Our assorted sashimi was exceptional - really lovely fresh fish and was quite a bit larger than expected! Rolls were also great - we had the fish of the day in several (mackerel). We left very satisfied - I feel that the price was good value for what we received. Would love to visit again!

Great Sushi! The fish is fresh and preparation was fantastic. We loved the 2 for 1 happy hour for drinks and the Mojitos were delicious, but they were definitely weak pours, because we got 2 each and we didn't feel a thing. Each Roll was great and we were hoping to go back, but they opened at 1pm and we had to get to the airport. Service was really good as well. Recommend it!

Absolutely amazing sushi! The rolls are huge and super quality. The prices are insanely reasonable considering the how good the rolls are. The mojitos were muddled to perfection and were two for one because the happy hour runs from noon to six, which is crazy because the were less than 8 bucks to start. We have eaten a lot of sushi all over the world and this place is on the lot of the list. We couldn’t believe we found this place. The staff was so over the top helpful, friendly and fun. The setting is so nice with artist selling stars!!!!

Best spicy edamame ever!!! And sushi!! Oh my goodness talk about melt in your mouth. We ordered the Diaz roll (fresh) & pacman (the flavor & crunch!) The staff is friendly and even gave us a complimentary dessert that was fantastic. If you're in the area a definite must try. You won't regret it.

There is a sushi restaurant in barcelo. This is 400x better than what you will get anywhere. I have been to many different sushi restaurants all over n/a and this is too notch. Servers are great and the owner is great top quality sushi and priced accordingly. Do not miss out on this place 100% core memory meal for me.

Fresh, amazing sushi! We have eaten here many times but tonight we were able to experience a true sea-to-table experience with our own fish! 5 hours on the water this morning then took half our catch (Dorado and Bonito) to Spicy Tuna and they created a beautiful array of dishes for an incredible price. We basically waddled out of there, but every single dish was expertly created and absolutely delicious! Highly recommend, whether you bring your own catch or not!

Amazing sushi. One of the best I’ve ever had. This is the go-to place if you want sushi in San Jose. I had their spicy tuna roll and some sashimi and although the place looks unassuming, it was at least as good as Nobu in Las Vegas. They also had fresh yellowtail and did a dish for my wife (Peruvian style) exactly the way she wanted it. Not only great food but great customer service. Kudos to the owner - I hope they open another location in Cabo someday.

The sushi here is excellent. 1-5pm is 2 for 1 drinks with your meal so it's a great deal. The teriyaki is always good and the teriyaki sauce isn't overly sweet like most others.

Fish was very fresh. Imaginative and beautifully presented rolls. The only problem was they either weren't rolled tightly enough or had too much sauce because not a single one held up. They fell apart as soon as you tried to pick them up. We all resorted to fingers, and a sticky mess. They were tasty but difficult to eat. Embarrassing to try and keep napkins somewhat clean.

As someone who actually eats sushi, the fish was not fresh and it was cut unevenly and assembled poorly. We had the “chefs special” which was the quality of premade refrigerated sushi you find in Whole Foods or Safeway in the US. It contained two pieces of imitation crab, and two pieces of low grade tuna. It was however priced accordingly (an omakase cheaper than a roll). If you are you looking for an inauthentic “fusion” experience, the special rolls we ordered (pacman and lewy special) were surprisingly enjoyable (the Mexican fusion flavors were thoughtful and worked well, though poorly assembled and presented, and were overpriced) We ordered a yakimeshi (fried rice) for our toddler which was unfortunately the highlight of the dinner - it was very tasty and cheap. In terms of service, they were a little understaffed but otherwise not noteworthy. For its traditional dishes / nigiri this place is a 1 star. If you don’t think of it as a Japanese restaurant and think of it as a more Mexican / Asian fusion it would be around 3 stars. It would fall squarely in the bottom 10% of Japanese restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. The self proclaimed sushi experts in the reviews claiming this to be the best sushi are fake news or well out of their depths.

Iba entusiasmada por que vi en Google buenas reseñas, pero me decepcioné un poco.. al llegar no tenían atún! El rollo normal… nada espectacular. Los meseros súper amables pero un poco distraídos o no se si eran nuevos. El aguachile lo deje entero estaba horrible y muy poco camarón, las gyozas si estaban muy ricas. Creo que no regresaría. Precios justos.. bien ambiente

La atencion fue excelente, y el lugar es agradable pero me cayo muy mal la comida y me enfermé.. Seguramente fue porque el tempura vegetariano lo frien en el mismo aceite en el que frien mariscos y eso lo arruinó.

I wanted to try mexican fusion sushi so thought of visiting this place. Guess what? Biggest attraction was music, not sushi. It was average sushi that i eat at other places. No spanish fusion except mango sushi. I felt that they did not have enough staff to deliver food on time. Vegetable sushi arrived when we finished eating. Server was very busy. Its a small restaurant but many people stopped by because if music outside the restaurant.

Wife and I went here on a Wednesday evening. I thought because of the reviews that this place would be full of people. When I called to make a reservation they sounded busy. We arrived and were the only people in the restaurant, which I would normally walk out, but because of the reviews I stayed. We went upstairs to the open window dining room to get away from the exhaust fumes of all the cars driving by. We ordered plum ceviche as an appetizer, black and white sashimi, Yessi roll, and cilantro sashimi. Service seemed rushed, we liked the sauce from the black and white sashimi and asked to keep the plate so we could dip others in it, but I had 2 servers asking multiple times to take the plate away even though I clearly stated we wanted to keep it for the sauce. After eating the ceviche, the black and white and the yessi, I asked if the cilantro was coming and they hadn't ordered it. I chalk it up to our miscommunication, my spanish is bad and her english was non existent. This place is at the heart of the tourist Hotel zone, and not one server or manager had any good english skills at all, but usually we manage because I do speak some Spanish, but this server wasn't even trying to understand my Spanish. I ordered 1 bottle of water, she brought 2, we ordered the cilantro and she didn't order it, she kept having to ask the sushi chef to translate even which fish they had, she didn't know the English or Japanese names, and yet she kept trying to speak English when I was clearly speaking Spanish to her, I told her to tell me the Spanish names and she kept staring at me. As far as food goes, the quantity of the sashimi plates impressed me, and I would come back for the black and white plate, but not much else.

Food was the first non great experience we’ve had in Cabo. Fish didn’t taste fresh. Very average overall food. We had much better sushi across the street at Cabo azul. Just Mid experience. Charged us for some food we didn’t receive. Wagyu roll was over priced and complete dog water. Look for another sushi option in Cabo

La comida y la atención es excelente, PERO manejan una oferta ENGAÑOSA de 2x1 en cócteles, ya luego que pediste y tomaste te aclaran que el 2x1 es por persona, entonces terminas pagando lo mismo, su comida nos gustó mucho pero por manejar esta forma poco ética de vender NO vuelvo, no tienen necesidad de acudir a esas artimañas para vender, sean ÉTICOS y más cuando están vendiéndole a personas que somos locales. I went to this place because of good reviews and was so disappointed. Spicy tuna was not spicy, nori was old so it had no taste and rice was not seasoned well for sushi. Friend had nigiri roll with fresh catch and it had no taste. Wasabi was old and had no perk at all. Sorry, wanted to love the place but it was bad sushi.
