The food was very good and the service was great, even though it’s very busy. The self-serve beer concept is very innovative, and prices range between $7 and $8 depending on the type of beer.
This place is a haven for your Indian fusion cravings! As a vegetarian, I’m delighted to find a spot that caters to my dietary preferences. Kristine and Shivani, the friendly staff, are always eager to share their recommendations for both beer and food. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service make for a delightful dining experience.
I went here just for food on a Wednesday around 5:30 PM. The food was delicious - really great Indian fusion and the rasmalai tres leches was divine. Service was extremely fast and attentive, the best service I’ve received at a restaurant in a long time. Also great portions for the price point in this area! We’ll be back for sure!
Visited this place for early dinner. The self pour is great and there were lot of good 🍺 options. I went during happy hour and the food menu was good too. Food with Special Indian Twist was a delight with the beers I tasted. The tikki sliders were good and loaded Chicken Tikks fries were just too good. The staff is welcoming and friendly adds to the list.
Absolutely fantastic brewpub and restaurant located in a quaint north San Jose neighborhood, nestled in between several high end apartment complexes and neighboring restaurants. This is a self-serve brew pup with several IPA’s, lagers, and ale on draft. You use a card to self pour and can take a seat in any of the plentiful outdoor or indoor seating areas. The food here was very good and they had a variety of brunch options, as well as pizzas and other regular sandwich options. The pizza was extremely high and I highly recommend the Burrata pesto pizza, one of the best we’ve ever tried. The service here is also excellent. The good thing about this place is that you don’t have to wait to be served here because you can get it yourself. The staff was super friendly and super responsive. We got her food within five minutes of ordering. Everyone is super nice and welcoming and we felt like we belonged there. If you’re looking for a good brewery in the San Jose or South Bay Area, you should definitely give this spot a try. For the excellent beer, options, the fast service, and the amazing food. I would say that this is one of the best in the area. We also particularly enjoyed the area because it was quiet, there was plenty of parking, and we felt like our vehicle was safe.
Excellent, excellent India fusion style food and beer which is very unique and very enjoyable! They will give you a beer card that you tab to the beer you like and pour it as much as you want! You only pay the volume you drink! They have some funky names for the beer which was fun to read and try! The India bread fish tacos are so good! The pizzas and the pasta also very tasty. You better go with as many friends and family together and share the food in family style, so you can try many different dishes! They even want out their way to cut and steamed some carrots for my one year old Granddaughter to enjoy! They are second to none for serving their customers. This place is worth of coming back again and again!
A great getaway for beer lovers! Get a card and choose from 30+ varieties all at your disposal. What I liked about this place is they don’t charge you exorbitant for the drinks like other places do. Food is good too. Appetisers are scrumptious and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. PS- they also do lunch specials.
I love it here for the beer. The food is good, as long as you are expecting bar food, or a personal pizza and some beer.... Service has always been nice. Also they have a good beer selection, you can pour yourself whatever amount...2oz, 4oz, 16 oz. That's about all I have to say about that... Oh, did I mention the Beer?
My family and I came here on a Friday, would say it was a little bit empty for a Friday night. Nonetheless, the food was amazing, and our favorites were the Paneer Tikka Pizza and Butter Chicken Pizza. A good thin crust, not too heavy on the sauces and toppings, and overall a good balance of flavors. The Cowboy Burger was also good, but we definitely recommend their Indian-Fusion items.
This place had a great atmosphere. I really enjoyed the self serve beer station and the chicken tikka sandwich. I found the tacos not to my liking and I let my server know and he was kind enough to remove it from our bill. Great experience, Harsh went above and beyond to make sure it was good.
Visited Blast & Brew recently. Service was a bit slow — it took some time for someone to approach us, so I'd rate the service 3/5. We ordered the Mumbai Street Tacos and Tikka Tikka Tacos — the flavors were good, but nothing too special. The Guava Mule was refreshing, and the Olive Garden Sangria was nice and sweet. Overall, the food was decent but not super tasty. Drinks were better. I'd give the whole experience 3.5 out of 5.
A decent place with a lot of fusion food options to choose from. We had tandoori chicken wings, masala fries, cauliflower wings, chicken Tikka burger, garlic flat bread and a pizza. Our favorite were the cauliflower wings and the garlic flat bread. Tandoori chicken wings were okay, the sauce was not great. Good atmosphere and great service. Overall it's worth a try.
Decided to stop by this place with a group of colleagues in advance of dinner at another venue and decide to go to a place focused on brews. Decided to get a vodka tonic to keep calorie count low and it was nice and strong although it did take a bit of time to come out. Seems like they only had one bartender who is serving as a waiter and bartender at the same time so a little bit of an inefficiency in that space. I eventually did try some of the brews. Their taps use a card system versus a bracelet that you might see at other tap houses. The system is a little odd because one card reader serves two taps which is a bit of a confusion but relatively easy to figure out. We ordered appetizers to go with our drinks. We had the pretzel which was decently good but not extraordinary or memorable and it came with two dips. The garlic parmesan wings were quite good with a nice mini scoop of pureed garlic on top and was something I've never tried before or had seen on other wings but made it unique and tasted good. The mozzarella on a stick with tomatoes was excellent, well-prepared, well presented and tasted very good. The garlic fries were relatively thin cut but not quite shoestring and came out in good volume and was consumed very quickly by our group.
The atmosphere and beer concept was cool. The food, however... one of the burgers was so well done you couldn't cut through it with the side of a fork. The mini pretzel with beer cheese was more like a pretzel with a liquid that looks like what an individual Mac and cheese looks like if you dumped the powdered cheese in the water, and gave it a stir. It was so watered down, you couldn't call it cheese. The goat cheese beet salad wasn't bad.
Wish I knew it was Indian Fusion before thinking it would be a great place for a burger. The burger was ok, kinda bland and not cooked to my request. Asked the server to make mine medium well. Partner asked to have his well done and no sauce. She repeated back "two medium burgers." I corrected her to say, no - one well, no sauce;the second medium well. Asked for lemons 3 times and extra ketchup twice that never arrived. Self -serve beer was kinda neet bit I agree with another reviewer that the glasses should be chilled. Most of the staff was nice but incompetent. The rest just didn't seem to care. Overall - just not worth the money spent.
Their customer service is not the best. The food is decent. Update: I was informed that after I left they brought a replacement old-fashioned drink of which I had posted a picture and asked that we share the issues with them before posting about it online. So, here are a few notes on that: 1. I appreciate that they read reviews and pay attention to them. 2. We did raise the issue about the drink and were initially ignored. 3. A big part of the issue was that two of drinks came out about 40 minutes after we ordered them and after our food. 4. We tried ordering additional items at 5:59 and were told the system would not allow more happy hour orders. 5. The purpose of a happy hour is to draw customers in and provide an experience that'll make them want to come back even outside the happy hour window. With that in mind, service and quality should be outstanding. The first old-fashioned should have been served with the same quality as the make up drink. Thanks for making a new drink for my friend. 🙂
We’ve visited 4 times in the past year and it’s obvious the staff is focused on completing transactions, but there is no desire or intent to interact with the customer on any other level. The service is exceedingly impersonal, just short of being rude. On our last visit, which was a Saturday when the 49ers were playing at home, we were among two groups of customers in the whole restaurant. They served us cold, droopy garlic fries. Anyone that cared about the customer’s experience would know the fries were old and would not serve them. It’s a shame. The ambiance is pleasing, and the food is generally good, but there are so many great restaurants in the Bay Area whose operators seem happy you’re there. Not Blast & Brew, unfortunately.
I have been here this weekend and we have tried tandoori pizza, tikki tikki fritters , mango lassi, old fashioned and beer. I will recommend this place only if you are looking for different options in beer to try Otherwise i will not. Pizza is little burnt they used same sause for pizza, manchuria and fritters which is really weird and mango lassi is like sugar dipped mango syrup. Beer and old fashioned are good.
11/29/2025, 5:50pm. First and last time here. Walked in, sat at bar, ordered appetizer from a very nice Indian man who I later discovered was his first day on the job. I grab a beer from the self serve and head back to the bar. A short chubby (looked Filipina) lady walks in behind the bar. I ask her "are you the bartender?" She replies "yes". She didn't have a name tag so I say "may I have your name please?" She then looks at me like I spit in her face and immediately cops a pissy attitude and exclaims "WHY DO YOU NEED TO KNOW MY NAME!?!" What the heck? I felt very offended. What a super odd reaction for such a basic question. She also failed to pay attention to the televisions in the bar and they had messages displayed and not sports. I asked the new guy to speak to the manager and he tells me SHE is the manager. To the owners: You need to find someone else. As a business owner I have learned to read people very well. This woman should not be representing your business period. If that is the best you can do then I predict this business will close its doors within the next 12 months. Also, I had the Chicken Alfredo which tasted good but the presentation was horrible at this price point. The chicken was cubed like it came out of a can of soup. Last but not least, the concept is a self serve beer thing. The glasses are not chilled. Personally, I prefer a bar with a sociable bartender. This place is destined to fail without major change. I rarely leave scathing reviews but I would avoid this place at all costs.
Promising concept but very poor execution, especially if you're into beers. One of the beer taps was labeled as double IPA but served a sour. Upon complaining to the staff they said "We'll let the management know". The second time as I was pouring another beer the keg ran out and it got mostly foam. Again, upon complaining to staff they said they'll take off $2 from the original price of $7. I told them this is not beer just foam but they didn't know what to do. And I was charged for both the beers. Then, I had to seek the staff and remind the 3 times to switch on the outdoor heater and after waiting for 45 min we were finally told that the heater was broken. Very disappointing experience with the mislabeled taps and incompetent and completely clueless staff. Will never visit this or any of its branches again.
