This is a fantastic Indian restaurant offering a wide selection of delicious dishes, including mouthwatering chicken starters , biryanis and flavorful veggie options. The restaurant's ambiance is welcoming, making it a great choice for families. Plus, their kids-friendly menu ensures that even the little ones will enjoy their dining experience. Highly recommended for a tasty and family-friendly meal!
It was so good food we did the catering just today for 200 people and it was an amazing experience. Under new management these guys are doing the best. Keep it up and I recommend this restaurant for good Indian food.
I heard restaurant has undergone a change in management, and tried few. The new recipes are absolutely mouth-watering. The mutton dum biryani is clearly a crowd favorite—it sold out three times during my visit! I love the spice levels, which are just right for Telugu taste buds. My go-to dishes are the chicken dum, paneer dum, kheema pulao and veg dum. And the chicken 65 starter is the perfect treat for a Friday night craving.
I ordered the Chicken Karahi and Mughlai Lamb Biryani. Both were spicy as requested and had very strong flavors which I love. Staff was very friendly and helpful navigating the menu and describing the difference between similar dishes. I will be back again.
The recipes under the new management are delicious. Love their Andhra style chicken and goat curry and Hyderabad chicken dumplings biriyani. Highly recommend these items
Ordered Biriyani, chicken starters, Mutton Haleem and Non Veg Thali. All items were too good in taste and flavorful. Please maintain the same.
Overall, Briyani House is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine and satisfying Indian dining experience. Whether you are a biryani enthusiast or new to Indian cuisine, this restaurant promises a memorable meal that will leave you craving more.
Tried all the more 'acclaimed' biryanis in the area - like Paradise and Biryaniz. I eat both veg n non veg. Nothing comes close to the Vijayawada Special Biryani, both the chicken and pander variants.
This is the best biryani I have ever tried, hands down. I have tried biryani in India, across the US, Singapore, and none have even come close. The veg biryani is absolutely immaculate. Most people order to-go. Portion size is super generous, and the employees are friendly. May whoever reading this one day bless their mouth with the presence of such an amazing work of culinary art.
We visited this place for our anniversary. The food is amazing. Service is very quick. Would definitely recommend this place and will visit again. Chicken lollipop and fish biryani is must try. Desserts are great as well.
Kudos to new chef and new management 🎉. Tried GOAT DUM biryani today. It is Amazinggg!! Haven’t had such a good dum biryani in a while. Must try . Keep going!! Good luck.
Hosted our Diwali party here and the staff was very accomodating. Happy to see fresh food being served buffet style for over 60 guests. Everything tasted great and was ready before we arrived. We all had a great time and look forward to coming here again!
My parents and I were in the area and were craving Indian food and my mom came upon this restaurant on google! The food was so delicious that we forgot to take a photo first! The Biriyani had this spice that you can smell and it opens up your senses! Everything was so good this will not be our last time here!
This restaurant is under new management now and I knew the owner from Biryaniz in Dublin. Since He sold that restaurant I stopped going there because of a change of taste and the owner was unwelcoming to the guest. But yesterday when I came here I was so happy to have that taste back which I was missing. Thank you so much for giving us the best service and food. Big fan of the guntar chicken and the tea was fabulous 👌 👏 👍 😍
I was referred to this restaurant by a co-worker, so this was my first time here. I must say my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves! My wife is a self-professed chicken tikka masala addict, and she was pleasantly surprised by the subtle difference in the flavor here in comparison to other Indian restaurants we frequent. I opted for the special pulao dish - spicy. Indeed it was, and yes, I loved it! Our waitress even provided some additional side dishes to help us in case the dish ended up being too spicy - what awesome service! Definitely coming back 👍.
If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors, this spot is an absolute gem! We recently stopped by for lunch, and every dish was a delightful experience. We started with the Bijewada Chicken Biryani, a masterpiece of fragrant basmati rice perfectly spiced with tender, juicy chicken. The flavors were bold yet balanced, making it an unforgettable dish. Next came the Andhra Chicken Curry, a rich and spicy delight. The curry had just the right kick, with a depth of flavor that paired beautifully with the freshly made naan. Speaking of naan, it was exceptional – warm, soft, and straight out of the tandoor, perfect for scooping up the curry. The portions were generous, and the service was warm and attentive. This restaurant knows how to do Indian food right, and we’ll definitely be back for another indulgent meal!
Best biryanis in Bay Area. This is under new management and the food taste is really good
New management is great. Have been craving for good tasting biryani in the area and this place is a gem. Great food ambience and service. Timings have not been edited from previous management on Google but the timings are 11AM to 3PM and 5PM to 10PM. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
We ordered a non-veg and veg thali for the daily lunch special and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food given for the price. The food was hot and very flavorful, will definitely recommend! Great variety in the menu as well.
I recently catered food from Hyderabadi Biryani House for a gathering of 20 people, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The packing was absolutely perfect—neat, secure, and kept everything hot and fresh. Every single guest raved about the food! The spice level was just right, striking the perfect balance of flavor and heat. Their chilli chicken, fire cracking chicken, and dum biryani were truly mind-blowing—packed with authentic taste and aromatic goodness. This is hands-down the best Indian food I’ve had in the Bay Area. Highly recommend for both catering and dine-in.
**New management since Dec 13th** Food is amazing, and the atmosphere is great. This place is a must try if you are a fan of spicy Biryani. Ask for the owner Suresh - he pays attention to detail, handing everything from the kitchen to the counter. Customer service and customer satisfaction are highly prioritized.
Hyderabad Biriyani House San Ramon is my go to restaurant, when I'm craving for Biriyani and for me their food has been consistently good 👍. Today I have the chance to meet the owner as well. His name is Naveen (bald guy is me 😁). Even though his restaurant is busy, he's friendly and took his time to talk to me. This only shows how customer-oriented Naveen is, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed. If you're ever at Hyderabad Biriyani House San Ramon, be sure to say hi to Naveen!

New management is so kind! I stopped in just as they were leaving to take a break between lunch and dinner service. They were so nice, and popped back inside to make me a delicious order of butter chicken anyway. They went the extra mile, and I appreciated that. I left with wonderful hot food, and a warm heart. Thank you!
We stopped going here because the quality significantly decreased, but the new management significantly improved the quality while keeping the affordability. Curries are great and not watery and they even come with rice which was a nice surprise. Best in the area by far. Could use a little less oil though.

Ordered cut mirchi, 2 family pack chicken dum biryani. Cut mirchi is very good, crunchy perfectly done. Chicken dum biryani is a disappointment, not enough flavor, not much salt or spice. Their biryani used to be good. I think some of chicken pieces were not even cooked properly - could see meat in dark pink color. They gave Vijayawada chicken biryani for us to try - that was very good.
I recently dined at Hyderabad Biryani house in San Ramon and I must say, their biryani is absolutely fantastic! I requested a medium spice level, and it was just perfect—flavorful without overwhelming heat. The weekend specials are a real treat; I sampled their mutton pulav, and it was excellent. What impressed me most was the portion size; generous servings at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving delicious Indian cuisine!
I really liked the mutton biryani, felt like I was in Hyderabad. Portion size is large. *** Must try ***

Tasty veg biryani. But why should you use styrofoam containers with hot food? Andhra dal is good here. The red ginger chutney as a side for idly looks like ginger + ketchup or some artificial color. However, the white chutney is good. Palak paneer needs a lot of improvement with respect to taste as well as number of paneer cubes. Curries can use a little less oil and garlic.
Excellent food and service. Naan was very soft and fluffy. The caretaker was kind enough to accept order even after closing the kitchen. We ordered chicken 65, goat curry, biriyani. All were amazing.
This has been my watering hole for ages. Management / cooks keep changing. When it comes to biryani , change is not desirable. I am exploring other options unfortunately
The roti and butter chicken were good, and the chicken dum biryani had less salt than expected. However, the portion size was generous. It would be great if they focused more on quality over quantity for the biryani…
We went here craving for some good biryani but were kind of disappointed. Here is the review for the order. Chicken dum biryani- We were expecting bone in tender chicken pieces but instead there were dry boneless with not so tasty batter covered chicken. It was like Vijaywada biryani but not so well done. Chicken manchurian- Again disappointed with the flavors and the batter that covered the chicken. Methi Chicken curry- although there was very little methi put in it and couldn't taste it. But as a plain chicken curry it tasted good. Mango Lassi was on the sour side. Portion size is good amount. But very disappointing.

Well, i recently visited this place. Food was good, if you bring kids they can try biryani's as their spice level is mild so should be fine. They really need to improve the service. Might be short of staff. use less oil please :)

Mutton biryani was good, except the egg on top was cold so I'm assuming it was not fresh. The samosa Chaat was like a soup and the chickpeas inside tasted off. The butter chicken was okay, it needed some more spices but it only had a few pieces of chicken, it was mostly gravy! The bathroom was disgusting, there was pee all over the toilet and floor and when I asked to get it cleaned, someone went to clean it. Then when I went inside again it was still pee on the toilet and floor so I'm confused if the person just wiped half the toilet with a paper towel and that was their version of clean. I would definitely not go back and now I know why they have such low reviews on Google.
Update: 5/1/23 Owner changed and it’s a mess of a change . Half cooked fish fry. How could one make fry uncooked? Uninterested cashier and server. A customer was complaining about food while the other costumers fighting with the complaint customer to stop yelling and owner standing and watching the F words flying with kids and family around. Food taste is below average at best. Not going back anymore.
Worst biryani ever please don’t try boneless chicken biryani that’s not even basmati rice, it’s smells different even if you ordered some starter every chicken piece taste smells same they’ll just add some thing to it.Omg I’m regretting a lot veg is good but people who wants to eat non veg nope I don’t recommend.

I have recently ordered Malai Kofta from this restaurant, the koftas are too hard as rocks and the gravy is full of red color and very sour can't eat, very bad experience with the food.
. Mutton Biryani was mediocre. . Idle samber was very disappointing; it was watery samber without salt with stale chutney. . Puri Bhaji was the worst, oily Puri and it looked like like bhaji was the leftover watery potatoes masala from dosa. Very disappointed not coming back.
Updating actual restaurant timings online will be helpful. Otherwise it is great injustice to hungry travellers. You claim online to be open until 12 am but actually close between 3 to 5 I think.
You get half cups of curry for the higher price you pay! I'm so done with their pettiness.
Worst experience with the new management. Ordered pakoda and biryani to go, pakoda was cold and biryani didn't have salad. 45 minutes wait for a Togo order. The lady didn't even apologize for being late nor she let us knew that there was no salan. Also Ordered chaas/buttermilk for kids and it didn't even have salt. Worst food and management
Update: right after posting this review they said that they were working on getting me a refund for the two items I specifically complained about... which may take a couple of days 🙃 (Reposting this review as I initially left it on the wrong account) This place is awful. We ordered from them on their website at 5:30PM, and doordash said the food would be done and arrive by 6PM. I thought this was weirdly fast, but didn't question it. Then the wait time kept getting longer and longer, and the time kept updating to push it further and further out. We didn't end up getting the food until 6:45PM, at which point it arrived barely lukewarm despite the restaurant only being about ten minutes away. All four pieces of the naan were burnt on the bottom, and the chicken kabobs were both burnt on the bottom and pink on the inside (pictures attached). The goat biryani was both cold and spicier than I could handle, which I wouldn't have minded as much if there were any descriptors of the food on the website. The mango lassi and rose lassi were both VERY small (think kids' sized drinks), and they both kind of just tasted like plain greek yogurt with a slightly more liquidy consistency. We ended up not trying the shrimp dish we got. All of the food ended up being thrown away in the end. I called the restaurant and told them about it, although I only brought up the chicken and naan because I didn't want to make them refund the whole thing, and the man on the phone asked me to come to the physical location so they could make me new food. I told them no thank you, I'm in my PJ's and would just like my money back. The man said to come back the next day and they would make the food for me then. I told them I would just like a refund if that was possible. They asked me multiple times to give them a chance to remake it, told me over and over that it never happens and that they weren't sure why it did, then told me doordash wasn't giving me the option to refund me, and then asked for my number and said they'd call me back. That was over an hour ago, and I haven't received an email, call back, or any other communication from them. I normally feel guilty leaving one star reviews for businesses, especially local ones, but this was a horrible experience made significantly worse by the lack of a refund. I hope this was just an off night, but... wow.
I have placed 2 orders of Apollo fish but they gave me in one takeout box. Since 7 years I never seen this kind of hard Apollo fish.. while biting we felt that we are biting chicken. I won’t suggest this restaurant.

The veg and chicken biryani were both flavorless and arrived cold. It’s rare to find biryani this bland. Given the high price point, this was a huge letdown. I won't be ordering from here again.
It used to be good when it was a different owner. The new owner sucks. Food takes one business day to cook. Foods are tasteless. Had me waiting 3 hours for my food. Really bad spot. Try other Indian restaurants nearby.
I arrived at this restaurant on Sunday at 9:00 PM, expecting to dine in, as their website clearly states dine-in is available. Instead, I was told they were no longer seating anyone — a full hour before closing. What made it worse was that the staff member who turned me away didn’t even offer an apology or explanation. Just a dismissive, “We’re not doing dine-in anymore.” If they stop seating earlier than the posted time, that absolutely needs to be reflected online. Turning customers away without any apology or courtesy is unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated, unwelcome, and frankly shocked at the lack of basic hospitality. Not planning to return. Stay away..
I'm honestly not sure if the owner is paying attention to the staff's behavior or the quality of the food being served. In hindsight, it's probably my mistake for ordering despite the recent negative reviews on Google. I ordered the Goat Biryani, Bezawada Chicken Biryani, Andhra Chicken Curry, and Garlic Naan. Unfortunately, except for the Garlic Naan, everything else was extremely disappointing. The biryanis were undercooked and seemed hastily prepared, as if the only goal was to push some food out on customers faces to make money — with no regard for quality or customer satisfaction. To make things worse, the staff at the front, particularly the girl taking orders, kept asking me to wait for over 40 minutes to receive my food. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I certainly won’t be returning.
