Full Disclosure: I am biased I love Mexican food. There aren’t many Mexican restaurants that I wouldn’t give 5 stars, but Mexxis has been my favorite for 20 years. I have had more than half of their menu. Everything is good. Everything. Something’s are excellent. My favorite thing is that almost every dish is a little bit unique. It’s not a bean, cheese, rice and meat with tortillas type restaurant (which I also love!). Give it a shot, they have the basics if that’s what your into, but don’t ignore the specials board. If it sounds good to you, you will love it.

We have been coming to Mexxi's for many years and will keep coming back. The food is excellent. I especially love the burritos, street tacos, mole enchiladas, taquito plate, shrimp quesadilla and pretty much anything on their daily specials menu. The service is excellent and I love the atmosphere. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so on days when the weather is nice it's great to sit outside and soak in a little sunshine. It's a family run restaurant so it's nice to see the same faces when you come in. Even though I have moved away from the area it's one of the places I always want to go to when I come back to visit.

Excellent food especially the shrimp taco’s. The food is always great here. I have been coming here for over 10 plus years. I wish they were in Walnut Creek. They have been open for as long as they have for a reason. The owner is a great guy. I noticed a previous message saying that the cashier should be cooking instead of dealing with the public. They definitely must of done something because the owner is always nice and always thanks me for coming in. I come in for the amazing food. It’s delicious and a great price for the quality of food you get.

This Fish burrito is great just wish it came with a small bag of chips like most places and have more selection of add-ons at the salsa bar like limes and hot carrots. This would complete my 5 stars

The food here is usually very very good. It’s a small place. I haven’t been there for a while, but ordered takeout and it was ready when I got there. Pretty tasty. We each got the street tacos. My absolutely only complaint is they put one small wine in for three street tacos they should’ve put three lime wedges. I recommend this place and will definitely be going back

I’m disappointed. I’ve ordered from Mexxi’s maybe once a month for years. I continued to do so after missing one of four items I ordered. I continued after showing up for my takeout and the online order had been ‘lost.’ (It was found hanging in front of the cooks but hadn’t been started.). I continued after prices increased and portions shrunk. But I’m not sure I’ll continue to do so. $40 for takeout for one burrito and 3 taquitos is pretty spendy. $3.60 to add guacamole and cheese to a burrito isn’t cheap either. Especially when you get home and find out you didn’t get it. It’s just become too inconsistent and too expensive for what you get.
