We recently had dinner at Mare Blu, and the experience was delightful from start to finish. The restaurant immediately gives off a welcoming, local vibe — many guests were greeted personally by the owners and staff, which says a lot about how beloved this place is in the community. Our waitress, though not Italian, delivered impeccable service. She was polite, attentive, and carried a constant, sincere smile that added an extra touch of warmth to the evening. We chose the fuori menu, starting with paccheri con cape sante, followed by tonno as the main course. Every dish was flawlessly prepared. The tuna, in particular, was exceptionally tender and fresh — a real highlight. To finish, we shared a paradise cake, a layered dessert with a hint of alcohol. Despite its richness, it was absolutely delicious. Mare Blu receives my full recommendation. The food, the atmosphere, and the service all came together beautifully. Even our dog Toffee was given a comfortable and safe spot beside our table, which we truly appreciated. A lovely evening in every way. I look forward to returning.
Wonderful meal. Consistently one of the best in San Remo, which is why we come back year after year for more than 25 years.
That place was simply amazing . The food was really nice . I had the seafood risotto and it was amazing . Everyone had a great time . End up having a Sicilian wine ( which I did not know ) which was great . I would highly recommend this place . We were 7 , had a feast and only paid 100 euros per person . Amazing !

Had a lovely lunch here on a midweek bike trip to San Remo. We have absolutely no Italian but the staff were very helpful & one in particular spoke excellent English. Food was fabulous, service couldn’t be faulted & the atmosphere was excellent. I would definitely recommend as a place to eat.
Outstanding Italian food, warm service, genuinely caring staff. The most delicious meal we had in San Remo. I loved that the staff interacts with diners and are not at all standoffish. Fish for 2 with porcini was divine. Had a salade mista for starters that was large, fresh, and delicious. Going again for dinner tonight!!! Very fair prices for outstanding quality.
We asked last minute if we could have dinner with two adults and two children, and we received a fantastic welcome. The service was very quick and the temperature was pleasant. We had vongole and pizza, and for me, it's one of the best restaurants in the area. A wonderful place!
One of the best meals during our 9-day trip through France and Italy — made even more special on my birthday! We made a day trip from Menton to Sanremo and found Ristorante Mare Blu — what a fantastic discovery. We ordered the mussel soup, pizza, and grilled fish — every dish was outstanding, especially the mussel soup, which was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. This was my birthday trip, and my girlfriend asked if they could put a candle on the tiramisu. To our surprise, the lady owner went above and beyond — she turned off the lights and played the birthday song! It was such a heartwarming and memorable gesture. As North American travellers who only speak English, we were welcomed with open arms. Their service was warm, respectful, and consistent for all guests — a true example of hospitality, especially in a tourist area. Other restaurants should take note. We’re flying back to Canada tomorrow, and we’re genuinely sad we can’t take this food and service home with us. We’ll definitely return — thank you for making my birthday so special!
Amazing restaurant and service, the food is very delicious ,I also want to note that on the recommendation of the waiter I tried his favorite dessert,named Zabaglione, now it is one of my favorite desserts! By the way, dark chocolate is my favorite! (in case that waiter ever sees this review 😄) Thank you for such an atmosphere
It’s been 3 yrs and never disappointed here, a must-go restaurant in San Remo. Seafood is so fresh and pasta is delicious as well. I particularly like the entry bread, feel like focaccia or pizza crust, but it’s so yummy with olive oil. If you like spicy taste, you have to try their homemade fresh green pepper sauce. It opened your appetite immediately. Amazing !!
Wonderful restaurant in San Remo, the main dishes are really tastefull as well as the desserts ! I strongly recommand the seafood pasta and the tiramisu. The staff members are also super nice and efficient.
One of my favorite dishes ever is clam spaghetti and Mare Blu did not disappoint! I licked my bowl clean! It was the best clam spaghetti I had the entire trip!!!! We also showed up towards the later half of lunch and they were closing but still served us food and didn’t rush us which we really appreciated since we had just arrived in San Remo.
Very tasty Italian cuisine, pizza, pasta, fish, one of the best restaurants in San Remo, the downside is that there are rarely any free tables, and you have to wait a long time to sit at a table in line.

This review is based on five years of regular visits to this outstanding restaurant, renowned for its fabulous and welcoming staff. My family and I fall in love with the restaurant anew each time we visit. The food is exceptional, and the service is charming and accommodating, paying special attention to children and special requests. There's a difference between a restaurant with employees and one with employees who love their workplace, and Mare Blue embodies the latter. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you're ever disappointed, tell them the Swiss guy will cover your bill on his next visit! Best wishes to the Mare Blue team, and thank you for your consistent hospitality.
Absolutely remarkable dinner at Mare Blu!! You simply must order the raw fish plate – it's a culinary masterpiece! The food, from pastas to everything on the menu, was simply amazing. The waitress was incredibly attentive, making it the best dining experience ever! This place is truly the best of the best!! 🍽️👌
I ordered pasta with pesto and the taste was great, I haven't had such good pasta in a long time. I also tried the pizza, it had the classic Italian pizza taste you would expect. You should also try the Proseco they have, they have good choices. The prices are decent, maybe a bit pricey as they are very close to the city center. The serving was great, they also gave us some free focaccia. Overall a great place to enjoy Italian pasta and pizza, with a glass of wine or Proseco.
