Springy hand-pulled noodles, in a flavorful broth. You have a selection of several noodle styles, with the Medium-thickness Round Noodles being my preferred choice of noodle style.

Great hand pulled made-from-scratch Chinese noodle bowls. Reasonable prices, Friendly service.
I was actually hesitated to order this since it only had 3 stars. But the food here is actually very tasty 😋 I ordered the chili dry noodles with braised beef

I was very pleasantly surprised with how delicious the noodles were! I stopped by for a quick lunch while shopping and I ordered the Lanzhou Hanpulled Noodles with braised beef, and the garlic cucumber. The noodles were so chewy and flavorful! My partner and I were obsessed with the noodles and halfway through our bowl, we decided to order another. This is definitely going to be my new go to option in the food court!
a hodgepodge of east asian noodles here and judging from other reviews the ramen is not it. however, i got the beef noodle soup (which is what they're known for) and it was pretty good. you can choose your noodle width and i got the regular. soup wasnt the most phenomenal ive had but it was still satisfying and solid. they also give you these tiny spoons to drink the soup with which was funny but also kind of inconvenient
We were pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian chili oil noodles! They were full of flavor and the stewed egg elevated the bowl to the next level. Four stars because the noodles were slippery and difficult to eat with the plastic forks!
Not sure why I ordered Japanese ramen at a Chinese noodle place but was pleasantly surprised. Miso ramen broth was a little bland, however it had healthy portions of pork, bamboo shoots, seaweed and a boiled egg. Came back another time to try the braised beef and pickled vegetable noodle soup. Lot of braised beef chunks and the pickled veggies made the soup really flavorful. Soup was a little oily so it wouldn’t hurt to pop a statin pill after eating.
Please keep in mind this is a fast food takeout at the food court. I was pleasantly surprised of the food quality and tasty. They have four options of noodles from thin round noodles to thick wide/flate noodles. I particularly like the thick wide noodle. The soup turns out to be really jot. But overall, tast good.
First time here, ordered braised beef noodle soup and it was delicious. Staff mentioned it was a mild spicy. I loved it.

Noodles were good but the spoons they provided were very flimsy and not usable for soupy noodles.
Solid choice for noodle soup in the food court. We had the braised beef noodle soup and the broth was flavorful, decent amount of noodles for $17.

I tried the braised beef with Chinese pickle noodle soup at Ox 9 Lanzhou Noodle. The dish was decent—the noodles had a good texture, and the portion size was reasonable. The soup had a nice flavor, but it was overly oily, which made it a bit heavy and hard to fully enjoy. Overall, it was an average experience. Not bad, but not something I’d rush back for either.
Popcorn chicken is good! But soup was super oily. I couldn’t eat and had to threw it out. Chicken + soup =$21

I wanted to try this spot in the food court. This happens to replace the ramen shop I used to go to. The food is average here. The meat is tender, but the noodles are too bland and chewy. I honestly should have gotten the thinner ones. You can basically choose what type of noodles you want. The soup is alright. Overall, the noodles take up most of the meal, which isn’t a good sign. The old ramen shop is much better in my opinion. Perhaps, I should have go to another place to eat in the food court or other restaurants in the mall.

If you name a dish as being for spicy lovers, only for it to hardly be spicy at all, you are bound to disappoint me. I ordered a spicy lover noodle soup from OX9 recently, and as a spicy lover, it was hardly spicy at all. With a title like that, I had anticipated the spice to be on the same level as something like Buldak ramen, and while maybe that is a fault of my own tastes and high expectations, even an average person would have a hard time detecting the spice. As other reviews have stated, the soup is oily and the price does not match the value. In addition, the soup is simply not flavorful. I could not finish my bowl because it didn’t fulfill me; I had to pass it to my friend to eat the rest for me. The noodles were the only fine part about this meal. This isn’t the worst dinner I’ve ever had, but perhaps the most shameful one. Overall, I probably will not be returning. 2/5.

Ordered 2 ramen and 1 pork bun. All tasted so bad. The price does not come with the value.
Safe your money and time and go to OX 9 restaurant location. (This location is fast food). This spot has limited menu options and very disappointing food. Noodles and broth had zero flavor, also soup was extremely oily, impossible to eat. Only one good thing about this location is their staff- very polite and nice.
Horrible attitude from staff when being assisted by a rude Asian young lady handing out orders. I purchased over $50 dollars worth of food. The staff didn’t want to give me four .5 (half ounce) chili oil small cans (not even when I clarified I could pay for them). She just tossed two miniature half empty (not even half ounce!!!!!) and gave me an ugly face and snarky comment saying she could only give me two. This food is very, very, very bland food. I had to drive to a nearby store to buy chili oil due to awful customer service. You are not the only Asian food restaurant in this mall (please save yourself the headache and buy a quality elsewhere). The most uptight business model if that’s how you treat your clients. I wish your business bad karma. Way to lose clientele.
I have been to the other two Ox 9 in Cupertino and Mountainview. Both are great. Not this one. It’s way below par when compared to the other 2. From soup to meat. Just avoid this one and visit the other 2.
They messed up my order even though I had explicitly said NUMBER ONE, gave me a spicy dry noodle even though what I ordered was noodle with soup. The cashier who took my order “Jonathan” was very rude and confrontational when we asked him about it, he even yelled at us “I verified this with you!!” and refused to remake the correct order. I didn’t expect much from a fast food place but this kind of attitude and terrible of customer service is disgusting beyond imagination. Avoid at all costs.
Food is ok. The server (the guy who claims himself to be Jonathan, which I doubt is his real name) is extremely rude and aggressive towards customers. We specifically ordered a #1 today and he gave us another one which we can’t eat (since it’s too spicy). When I went back to ask him, he not only refused to address and rectify this by denying it, but falsely claimed to have verified the order with us (which he didn’t) in order to shake responsibility. Furthermore, the person lacks good communication skills and acts defensively and attempts to put the blame on customers. This is unacceptable behaviour and reflects how little the store thinks of its customers.
Had a very uncomfortable experience here. I asked for two cups of water and was told: • there were no water cups (I said any container would be fine) • the water tap was broken. Although confused, I accepted this explanation and went back to my seat. One minutes later, my husband asked for water and was given (1) a paper water cup (2) a cup of water in the cup. When I asked why, the staff explained it was because he said “tap water is okay.” To be fair, I did not explicitly say “tap water is okay” when I asked (I thought water tap is broken means the whole tap was broken and they had no water), so I don’t know whether I would have been given water if I had said that. However, when I pointed out this inconsistency, the staff and manager offered no apology or acknowledgment. When taking the food back and asking for refund because this makes me uncomfortable, the manager repeatedly insisted there was “no problem,” and shifted the conversation to unrelated points like “the food is fine, the noodles is what you ordered”. She refused to escalate the issue, saying there was nothing to escalate. When I asked to see policies about refund or tap water (they claimed the tap water is unsafe to drink and is not for humans to drink), she said policies are internal and why would they show them to me. At one point, I was even asked WHY MY HUSBAND WOULD REQUEST WATER AFTER I HAD BEEN TOLD THERE WERE NONE?!! — instead of addressing why two customers received completely different explanations a single minute apart. This review is not about the food. It is about inconsistent explanations, refusal to address a clear discrepancy, and a dismissive attitude when questioned. I’m leaving this review so others can be aware and decide for themselves.
The same young Asian woman mentioned in multiple reviews also served me. Unfortunately, she was quite rude throughout the interaction. I also witnessed her treating the next customer whos an elderly woman did not speak English well with clear disrespect and discrimination, which was the final straw for me. It’s especially disappointing to see this kind of behavior in a Chinese restaurant, directed toward someone of the same community. Management should take this seriously. The food also tastes really bland and totally different things from their San Mateo location
