O que dizem os clientes de Puerto Bambú
H&H Bagels on the UWS is loved for its friendly staff and classic bagels. Customers rave about the bacon, egg, and cheese bagels, and the nova scotia salmon bagel. Some find the bagels inconsistent or stale, and prices high.

my first bagel in new york city and it didn’t disappoint :))) and the guys working there super helpful and friendly
Five stars. The bagels are fresh, dense, and have the perfect chewy inside with a crisp outside. You can taste the difference compared to most places. The spreads are generous and the service is quick even when it’s busy. Worth going out of your way for a real New York bagel.
Nice spot for breakfast. Tried couple of different bagels and all were delicious! Fast service
5 or 6 small tables. Prices look high but the servings are huge! Great bagels. Highly recommend! Fills up with school kids at 11:15 for lunch!
The perfect breakfast spot. During my trip to NYC, I found myself coming back here almost every morning. Their bagels are consistently fresh, chewy, and full of that classic New York flavor. Order the everything bagel, toasted, with bacon and egg, and grab a hot coffee to go with it. That’s your morning sorted; simple, satisfying, and exactly what you need before a day of exploring the city. Quick notes for fellow travelers: Service: Quick, friendly, and efficient, they know how to keep things moving without rushing you. Food: Always fresh, always consistent. You can taste the care in the prep. Atmosphere: Clean, straightforward, and focused on what matters: great bagels and good energy. If you want a genuine NYC breakfast experience without the fuss, H&H Bagels is the move.
We came here due to a recommendation and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was patient and kind to us (my family and I are from Mexico and were struggling with how to order) but the staff kindly guide us through the process. At the end Tomás took us a picture and gave us a free pastry 😋. The bagels were delicious (I had the classic one and my parents got the salmon one) 10/10 😌
If you’re looking for a classic bagel in NYC this is the place to go. H&H makes the best bagels in all of NYC and you’ll agree with me when you try it. The seating area inside this H&H is amazing. Most likely you’ll get a table everytime you come here.
Heading to the Museum of Natural History today, and I wanted to maximize my UWS time. H&H is one of my favorite bagels, but not sure I ever came to the actual location. Super happy I did. Bright and well-lit, this place was basically dead at 8am on a rainy Sunday morning. It started getting busier as I sat and noshed on my delicious Lox, cream cheese, capers, and tomato on a toasted Everything bagel. The ‘Nova Salmon with no onion.’ The staff was friendly, and the guy who made my sandwich joked that it had extra onion which I met with a frown and then a smile when I realized he was yanking my chain. I will mention I don’t remember paying this much for a Lox bagel and cream cheese before, but everything on this trip to NYC has been more expensive from $5 pizza for a single topping to a $16 (Corner) Bistro burger. So I figure it’s par for the course. Stop by and enjoy this delicious spot. And then walk to Central Park or stop by a Museum. Or just live your amazing life on the UWS.
For those who live on the Upper West Side, the outstanding customer service makes this H&H location a hidden gem. Get to know the friendly staff while you enjoy your favorite bagel (toasted or not!) with generous portions of bacon, egg, and cheese or however you like it. And there’s plenty of seating and a warm atmosphere to enjoy your meal without having to rush! Enjoy a true New York City experience while supporting a local business!
So happy to see H&H has a cafe on the UWS, although it’s no replacement for the old bakery on Broadway, where aficionados like me lined up at all hours for bagels fresh out of the oven. The bagels are a bit bigger and sweeter than I remember, but still pleasantly chewy and a great vehicle for cream cheese, lox, or whatever you like on your bagel. And it’s a decent place to hang out with plenty of tables and counter space, unlike the old bakery which was strictly to-go. Bagels are about $2, sandwiches about $15.
Moynihan Train Station is very clean with a few food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. H & H Bagels were good, customer service was excellent. Unfortunately these is no place to sit down and eat. Plenty of security and personnel to provide assistance with Amtrak, LIRR or Subway information. Keep up the great work and professionalism.!! Highly recommended. 💯
I came here this morning a little after they opened up. Maybe like 20 minutes. I was in the mood to try something different since I work close. I’m used to going to Nosh bagels two blocks down which is always amazing. There you will see bins full of freshly made bagels because they make them right there on the spot.I came in and there were no bagels. Well barely any bagels in their bins. I asked them if these Bagels were fresh and they said yes. I asked them where are the rest of them and no response. OK, I figured I’d give it the benefit of the doubt I asked for a Poppy bagel. Toasted. And scrambled egg and cheese platter. With a cup of coffee.. The coffee was really good 👍 . The scrambled egg and cheese platter was really tasty and perfectly done👍💯.. The bagel tasted like crap. It was hard. The bagel was horrible. When you toast, a bagel, the inside is nice and soft. It was dry. It was extremely hard.. It was horrible. If these were fresh bagels, even toasted, they should be soft.. told them that it was hard. It tasted dry. They didn’t care. So I give four stars for the coffee and the eggs. I’m glad everyone else had a good experience. Maybe next time I’ll be able to say it was great all around . Maybe I just came on a bad day
I'm a little disappointed in the sausage, egg, and cheese. The bagel was a little stale and the sausage was a sausage link sliced in half. It made it extremely difficult to eat and wasn't even distributed on the bagel. I can accept that the bagel might have been stale due to the time I came but for over $9 I would have expected a better sausage experience. I'm willing to give other options another chance but I will not be coming back for sausage.
Got recommended this place by a friend who lived in NY 3 years ago and the bagel was probably akin to the reviews. Probably was good 3 years ago but is bare average now. Got the classic Nova Scotia salmon bagel. Construction was good, everything was pretty fresh and good ratios. But the bagel itself tasted a day old even though I was there early in the day. Everything Bagel was by itself a 3/10. Customer service was also pretty poor. Really questioned giving a tip at all. PS. Don’t waste your time with the iced coffee.
2/14/2026 today I was charged $36 for a dozen bagels and the smallest size strawberry cream cheese. Per posted prices the total is inaccurate. On asking about it we were told that prices went up for valentine's day. Asked for a receipt and there was no paper in the machine. Asked for a text/email receipt and that allegedly was not working too. Was my favorite bagel spot in this area but will never go back, definitely feel like I was robbed.
delivery from here today... the food tasted old no other way to put it. Had to throw most of it out. Like the taste of having been in the fridge too long and absorbed the taste of all around it. Also price wise it's robbery.
