Must visit when in Santa Fe - I recommend their brunch / breakfast for anyone visiting Santa Fe. We ordered the corn pancakes, breakfast quesadilla with chorizo, & huevos motulenos which was one of the most interesting dishes I’ve had. Everything was amazing and the flavors were so creative. The vibe of the restaurant was really cool - super small with lots of colorful art. All the food we ate in Santa Fe was good, but this was my favorite and I’ll absolutely be back.

It was my first time in Santa Fe and this place was incredible. This is an upscale Mexican style restaurant serving mostly breakfast and lunch. Everything is organic, which explains the price. It is worth every penny because the flavors are fantastic. You know you are getting quality food that tastes like its made at home. The staff are super friendly and personable. They gave us suggestions on places to visit while in town! I recommend this spot to my friends! See the photos.

Cafe Pasqual was a restaurant I found by searching the top restaurants in Santa Fe. We had a great experience there. We went around 11:30 on a Monday morning. The wait time was about 30-35 minutes. It’s a small restaurant beautifully decorated. You are given a choice whether you would mind seating at the community table or private. You get to be seated faster at the community table. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Everything we ate was delicious. The host was accommodating to us since we had a handicap person in our party. Cookies and other pastries made on site are scrumptious. Highly recommended but be ready to wait to be seated. Worth the wait.

This is a quaint small restaurant in Santa Fe where we had our first lunch in NM. The atmosphere was very cozy. The service was very attentive. We had mole enchilada and carne asada, which were delicious. Mole was savory and well balanced. The carne asada was tender and perfectly seasoned. We were very content with our experience and its no wonder that there other waiting for a space in this cozy restaurant. Come try and experience for yourself!

This is a nice restaurant in a historic Adobe home. They have a communal table for those interested in a fun eating experience with others. I opted to sit by myself and ordered their huevos barbacoa which was delicious! The tender and juicy beef cheek was fantastic with the perfect sunny side up eggs. I highly recommend checking this place out when you’re in Santa Fe!

We waited briefly, no big deal, the salad ok, the smoked salmon very good, loved the poblanos and loved the ribeye. The vibe the best thing abt the place, vibrant and alive, the food very good, but the ambiance but the dinner over the top!

Amazing food. Complex flavors. Chefy but not pretentious. Very friendly staff. Good drinks too that didnt skimp on alcohol. Make sure you order the chocolate budino for dessert, fantastic! :D

Highly recommend! This place takes organic food seriously and you feel good while eating there. All the staff were extremely kind and bubbly. Their menu is full of delicious choices. 10/10

Loved the food. Catered to our varying tastes. Sat us right away. It’s cramped so expect tight quarters-not much ambiance but the food was great. My sister loved the mole.

Incredible Mexican/New Mexico cuisine. The atmosphere is very southeastern. The menu has many delicious sounding options. Don’t ask for chips and salsa, not that type of restaurant. The wait on a Monday afternoon was almost an hour. The service kept us updated on our food so we didn’t feel like we were forgot. The trip to the restrooms in a tight squeeze. Best place on the visit for food and drinks. They also have this community table which might be an interesting experience if you like meeting people.

Such a fun and welcoming place! Excellent dish’s and friendly staff. Make sure to call ahead it is quite busy after 9am!

I had Aunt June's Green Goddess salad which was excellent. My neighbor at the community table had the garden panini with kale salad, which she loved. Loved the community table setting for a solo diner.

I had an excellent experience in this beautiful cafe. There were so many delicious vegetarian options for me. I tried the breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, and the blintzes and can highly recommend all of these. Their mole is also delicious. We ended our meal with a selection of cookies that were so tasty. I especially liked the almond cookie. The staff were kind and welcoming. Service was quick. There might be a bit of a wait when it’s busy but believe me it’s worth it! This place is a rare gem!

Was recommended by a friend and also had great reviews. Did take a bit to get seated. Inside is very charming. You can also sit at a shared table, for faster seating. We ordered the Corn Rounds as an Appetizer. Even though it was delicious, was very small for the price. Didn't even seem like a full ear of corn. We also had the potato cake and the chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty! They do not offer Coke/Pepsi products, just so you know. Would definitely go back when in town!

We shared Pablo’s Quesadilla and a cup of the chilled sweet and spicy carrot soup. The soup was not spicy and it was loaded with flavor. The quesadilla had shredded chicken, asadero cheese and cilantro. We asked for plain mango versus the mango salsa because I didn’t want the extra heat. It also came with slices of watermelon sprinkled with feta cheese. The quesadilla was amazing and the mango was an excellent compliment along with the watermelon. Steven was our server and he helped us get the food the way we wanted it. Excellent job! Small restaurant that was extremely busy. It was worth the 25 minute wait.

A bit of a wait because of how popular they were. I had the avo toast with fried egg and bacon + the earl grey martini 10/10 verryyy good!!! Put your name down on the wait list and shop around! The food is so worth it!

My parents & I had lunch here and it was amazing! I don’t know how this place has 4.5 stars right now (as of 5/1/25). It was absolutely delicious, everything was fresh and beautiful. It was very popular, so they had some communal seating tables but there were also some tables for 2-4 and a booth. We had enchiladas, a beautiful giant cappuccino, corn griddle cakes, affogato, macaroons. It’s 100% organic and everything was so beautiful. Our server was very funny also. Maybe some people did not like the prices in their review? But I think for beautiful, ultra fresh organic food on the plaza it was very well worth it. I definitely felt I got my money’s worth

First time trying a Southwestern restaurant, and it was a great experience, would definitely try it again. The interior had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it feel like home. The space was quite small, with tables placed close together, especially the narrow aisle leading to the bathroom, which could only fit one person at a time. Despite being very busy, the staff was friendly and informative. The stir-fried Pan-Asian Rain Noodles had a delightful mix of textures and flavors. Great mixed with fresh vegetables and aromatic herbs, though slightly on the sour side. The steak, on the other hand, was cooked to a perfect medium, with a juicy and tender texture. Overall, a great spot to try Southwestern cuisine.

Incredible mole sauce. Plato Supremo is perfect. Can be split between 2 people. Green goddess salad was fresh and delightful. The Island Dream(can’t exactly remember the name but had pineapple) mocktail was very good. The cucumber sparkling mocktail was just ok. Really enjoyed our dinner- went 2 nights in a row. Date shake is good but not worth $15. The Budino was amazing- if you love chocolate get that! Beautiful atmosphere. Colorful and fun bathrooms. If you have time go upstairs to the gallery. Exquisite art and jewelry. Very tempted by the pottery and wire art. Make your reservation for dinner and get there early for lunch and/or breakfast.

Lovely breakfast, friendly staff and cool environment. Def try the baked goods at the counter if you just looking for a sweet treat with your coffee. Communal table is fun! Worth stopping by!

We were surprised to see a line formed outside when we arrived a few minutes before they opened. It didn’t take long to understand why that was the case. We were impressed as much by the service as we were the food - definitely say yes to the warm almond bear claw pastry!

While visiting Santa Fe, my dad and I decided to have dinner at Café Pasqual’s after walking by it the night before—and we’re so glad we did! We had a 7:15 reservation, arrived a bit early, and were warmly welcomed and seated right away at the coziest little round table. The restaurant is a feast for the eyes, full of charm and color. The staff were both professional and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Everything we tried was delicious—from the house specialty seed brittle to my flavorful corn cake. Just a quick tip: ask about the spice level if you’re sensitive to heat—I didn’t, and that one’s on me! Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in town. For two dinners and one cocktail (no dessert or coffee), our bill came to $95. A memorable meal and well worth it!

After reading the reviews we decided to go to Cafe Pasqual's for lunch. And we were lucky to wait just a little bit for our own table. The atmosphere is unique. We liked the bright whimsical decor. They provide an excellent variety of foods. Our dishes and drinks were wonderful and well-presented. The service was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Excellent breakfast this morning. Lines and waits can be long here but truly fabulous service and tastes. Very very clean inside. Huge menu with lots of interesting cocktails and wines. Out of all our trips this was our first time here. We came right at opening and were able to get a table and it was full in 20 min. Great art and decor. We loved it.

The communal table at Cafe Pasqual’s is one of the top food experiences I’ve had in the last year. I was there right before closing and lucky to get a seat. It’s lively, the staff are so friendly, and it was a perfect little spot to be tucked away.

This restaurant is absolutely delicious. Situated in the heart of old town, I was afraid people only went there because of its convenient location, but boy was I wrong! The food was delicious and I loved the variety of healthy juice/drink options. I would definitely recommend and would certainly come back. Please note, it does get busy during peak times. We waited about 20 minutes and they texted us when our table was ready. We didn’t mind because it gave us a few more minutes to explore the nearby shops.

Am amazing place to eat. Great food, great service. Be prepared to wait as it is a popular place to eat, and rightly so.

This place is an absolute gem—if you’re in Santa Fe, it’s a must-try. The staff is incredibly friendly, and while there may be a bit of a wait, it’s well worth it for a delicious, James Beard Award-winning meal.

Food was AWESOME! Service was great, they were so kind. Unassuming spot from outside but highly recommend for brunch. Quaint, great decor inside — we’ll make this a regular stop every time we’re in Santa Fe!

The Carne Asada is delightful. Anything with mole is superb and you will be well rewarded if you choose to add the mole. Of course it is busy and a long wait and crowded too. But your patience will be worth it.

This was our favorite meal! We stopped in for lunch. Everything was so fresh. We got enchiladas, fish tacos, and the chicken sandwich on their incredible cornbread. We also had a mocktail and some pastries that were yummy. It was so amazing, we ended up ordering some desserts to go later that night after dinner.

This tiny gem in town wouldn’t have been on our radar. Local friends raved about this place so it was a must try! We weren’t disappointed. The restaurant itself is an explosion of art and color. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. I’m vegetarian so for me it’s always a challenge to find something good to eat. There were several options that offered tofu or “chorizo” as the protein. Some of their dishes can be made vegetarian if they weren’t already. I had the pomelo and avocado salad and my husband had the cochinita pibil. Although I don’t eat meat, my husband’s meal smelled so good, I kind of wish I did just for the night. My salad was very yummy and the seed cracker that came with it might be my new favorite snack. We ended the night with the chocolate torte. So delicious and very rich.

Super cute super small though get a reservation or be prepared to wait. Got chili relleno it was so good, and grandma Jenny's dish.

I've heard quite a bit about this place, so I gave it a try. Truly enjoyed sharing the communal table. Met new people and enjoyed the conversation. Ms. Judy was my server, and she did a fantastic job! Food was delicious! Atmosphere was quaint, small (smaller than expected) but very interesting. The food came out quickly and again, was delicious! Highly recommended, but expect a short wait time due to it's seating capacity.

We had wonderful meals (and coffee / chai was delicious too!) I can’t have gluten or egg and was super pleased with the beautiful fruit/yogurt/granola bowl - delicious!!! My husband’s plate looked incredible as well!

We stayed night in Santa Fe on our southwest roadtrip and had to try Cafe Pasqual’s after hearing such great things. Our server Edward was so helpful, answered all our questions, and was so knowledgeable about the menu. Excellent service at front of house as well. The mole enchiladas were amazingly flavorful. We also loved the colorful and fun decor. Please check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Cafe Pasqual’s is truly special. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, and the food is outstanding. Easily at the top of my list of Santa Fe restaurants. The vibe is warm, relaxed, and completely unpretentious. It feels like the heartbeat of downtown Santa Fe, where happy people gather to enjoy great food and an even better atmosphere. Nothing forced, nothing flashy, just really good energy. We were lucky enough to be seated next to a couple who quickly became instant friends, which somehow feels perfectly on brand for this place. Highly recommend, but definitely make dinner reservations well in advance.

Came in for a solo lunch while visiting Santa Fe. And wow am I happy I was recommended to this restaurant! It was about a 45 minute wait, which is totally fine because there are so many shops and stuff to look around while you wait! The restaurant is gorgeous. Really fun and bright decor. My server was fantastic, she was very attentive and nice. I got the Cuban sandwich. Pork Barbacoa / Fra Mani Rosemary Ham / Roasted Green Chile / Melted Asadero / Dijon / Dill Pickle / Crunchy Ciabatta $28 The flavors and everything were out of this world. However it was extremely hard to eat because the sandwich was so tall lol. I’ll be back next time I’m in town for sure!

Brunch at Café Pasqual’s was outstanding. The breakfast burrito was packed with flavor, with perfectly cooked eggs, potatoes, chile, and cheese wrapped in a warm tortilla that tasted super fresh. The portion was generous and satisfying without being too heavy, and the balance of spice and richness was spot on. The cozy, colorful atmosphere and friendly, attentive service made the whole experience even better. Definitely a must‑visit brunch spot in Santa Fe, especially if you’re craving a great burrito to start your day.

Cafe Pasqual’s is always a treat. The food is outstanding and the service is just as wonderful. The chicken mole was absolutely delicious: deep, rich, and full of flavor. It is very rich, so I recommend pairing it with a lighter dish or sharing a few items to balance the palate. Every visit feels special, and the quality is consistently excellent.

I visited Santa Fe for the first time this year and had seen all the great reviews so decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The food was amazing! Every dish was delicious. I sat at the communal table in the center of the restaurant and it was great! I had the opportunity to meet new people from all of the US and some locals. Loved this place!

Notes from the Sweet Spot

This is one our favorites in Santa Fe. Funky place with great atmosphere. While you wait for your table don't miss out on the chance to visit the museum around the corner and upstairs. The cafe is very cozy and sometimes one gets to dine at the community table which can be a great way to meet interesting people! We've enjoyed the smoked trout, and the other creative and tasty New Mexican dishes. You gotta check this place if you haven't already!

I mean, I’m from the heart of NYC and if I think it’s overpriced, there’s a problem. Several service glitches, but friendly overall. The place is cute, I get it. But $24 for 2 tasty pancakes and 2 eggs is a little crazy. Also the latte was pretty bad. I know that once a place becomes popular and there’s a line to get in, it’s self sustaining. Sorry to say I think you can find better breakfasts for less money elsewhere in Santa Fe.

C
Courtney Andrews

Listen, absolutely five star atmosphere and staff, and great southwestern food. Love it here, and will always come back. However, it is very over-priced for breakfast food. As long as you’re prepared to swallow the bill, it’s an amazingly charming spot.

K
Kerry Carr

Had the $26 breakfast burrito and $8 cappuccino. Although the service was on point, the food was not worth the expensive price. Been going here for 27 yrs and was shocked to see the inflated prices.

A
Alix Jules

Overcooked fish might be easy to chew, but it’s hard to swallow at 50 dollars. And at over 20, the salad portion would make New Yorkers blush. This wasn’t the restaurant that the reviews suggested, so I hope it was just a bad day in the kitchen. I really wanted to love it. I hope you have a better experience than we did.

N
Nettie Atkisson

Thankfully they have a lot of gluten-free options. That being said, I find it waaay too expensive for the quality and quantity of the food. Great staff. Food was good but nothing special. $48 for Conchinita Pibil. It was flavorful but not worth the money. My husband had a salad with figs and they were soggy. The chicken paillard was good , but $47. I get in NYC from an excellent place for $28. Food is fine. Service is great. Cilantro rice is flavorful. We have eaten great food on our trip here in NM in Albuquerque and Taos and paid nothing near this. My son had a$20 Papusa. One single papusa. Nope.

L
Lily Misra

We were there for breakfast. Ordered the breakfast according to recommendation. But it was so tasteless. Just a can of Black beans and an egg on top. With few fried bananas. And some coffee and a bear claw. Cost was abnormal like $45+. It was the most expensive breakfast I had in my 70 year of life. Surprised to see somebody mentioned lunch for $10-20?

t
ty kretzinger

Cool spot, service was quick and very friendly but offered nothing in regards to the issues with meal. Conchinita pork was good but tortillas were not edible (2nd batch was better) and plantains with rice were inedible. Left in the fryer way too long and basically crumbled into pieces. These were not cut to be chips. The shrimp cocktail had only a few pieces of cut up in the mix. When paying almost $30 for an appetizer, I would hope to get a great portion if not full size shrimp. Prices are way out of bounds for the actual quality of the food. $200 after tip for a pork entree, burger entree, salad & 2 appetizers. No alcohol and we drank water.
