Very Good food! A GREAT place to Eat!

Fresh and hot meal ,attentive waitress!

This might be my favorite restaurant in Marshall so far. It may seem weird to say that about a buffet but I really liked everything I had here. We have tried quite a few different restaurants in this town and haven't been impressed, even with chains that we like in other towns. Completely agree with all the positive reviews online about Jack as well. That guy works constantly and takes good care of you. Very happy overall, and very full.

Thanksgiving Day, shortly after open, staff bustling about, with understanding and patience, smiles and courtesy, helpful and thoughtful, and the food was, as is Golden Corral rep, as close to 'home cooking' as one might hope. But on this day, for this honored, traditional meal, it was especially good, presented and maintained, plentiful and classic. Truly exceptional, and appreciated , for the service, the excellent fare, and being open and available, during such a tenuous tenor in this area, this state, this country, taking the angst and lack out of a holiday celebrating gratitude amid plenty.

It was great. The lady at the front register was nice and gave me my discount automatically. I felt welcome up front. Then, I was confronted with a waitress named Sarah. She was quick and caring serious . The bathrooms were clean! The windows were clean! I've been coming to this Golden Corral the 90s. It's the best!

I went here for breakfast, and it was very nice. The food was great, and there were plenty of varieties! The restaurant is clean and the service was good!

We went on Father's day night. The steak was good and all the stuff I had was good.

Being a rather fussy eater I have tended to opt for the independent restaurants. However, this chain has totally changed my view. A huge choice of delicious food to suit the most persnickety of palates and at really competitive prices. And probably the best fried chicken I have ever tasted in these parts! Service was excellent with friendly and attentive servers. I highly recommend and I will assume all Corral Buffet's are as good at this one at Marshall TX.

Went on a Sunday, get there by 11am and beat the church rush. Food was Hot, like always enjoyed the fresh Hot fried fish and shrimp. Finally tried the Desert Bar this visit Fudge was a little dry, needs to be switched out more but for the most part I'll give them an A for the food and service.

This is the one place in the Marshall Texas area you can come to get a really good hot home cooked meal with a clean environment and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is always sincere, I always look forward to returning.

I always overindulge when I go to Golden Corral. Enjoyed it very much. Waitress was excellent and so was the food!

Our family has eaten at many Golden Corrals, but this one is the best. On Thanksgiving Day (23 November), the line was short. The staff was helpful. The food was amazing. The inside was just as welcoming, with friendly guests and a regularly replenished buffet. We arrived at the business around 3, and it was supposed to close at 4. We overheard other customers being informed they could stay and eat "for another fifteen minutes" and take any leftovers as we headed out. I can't think of any restaurant where guests were treated like royalty. I had a great time during the visit and hope to go back the next time we're in the area.

After decades of not eating at GC due to horrible experience, we tried this one and were very impressed. The wide variety of food, the great service, clean facility will have us coming back again!

This is a very nice Golden Corral location to eat. The food was kept stocked all the time we were there. They have absolutely everything you want. From fresh baked rolls, honey butter ( which is amazing), the salad/fruit bar, the Spanish rice, beans, hush poppies, the corn bread. The meat bar is absolutely fantastic you can get a good medium-well steak grilled to perfection, pulled pork, fried chicken, and the dessert bar is a sweet complement to a fantastic meal. Where do you find all these at your leisure? We really had a great time. Very family friendly and they clean quickly after a table is vacated or when you finish with your plate. I left very pleased and thanked the staff for their great job. They really put a great effort in what they do and as a costumer I appreciate that.

What more can I say. Everything was awesome today. Only complaint I have is WHY is the food weigh on take out orders? People sit in the restaurant and eat twice as much as my parents. They are in their 70's and has to pay almost 3 times what they would have paid to walk in the restaurant.

Everything was great and a lot of different kids of food sure to please you. But if your looking for the bread they bring it to your table. Our hostess was very friendly. Good place to eat.

Best Golden Corral location I've been to. Our server was nice and prompt. The tables and buffet were very clean. Coffee was hot and refreshed often. Fresh food was put out a few times while we were there. Everything was fresh, hot, clean, and delicious. Really good location.

It was extremely crowded but all the food there was top notch... had the steak which was perfectly cooked and the fish was very good didn't even need a sauce for. The rolls were great as always and the shrimp tasted good as well. Also the service, especially as busy as they were was very attentive and caring

The food is always good and the service is swift. The servers are always kind therefore I always tip and look forward to returning. It's two thumbs up for the hungry and weary traveler.

Always a pleasure to eat at GC.. only had 1 bad experience in all the years I have been going,and that was in Lexington Ky.(absolutely nasty place.. got my $$ back and left) Been to GCs from Galveston to Wisconsin, and all points in between. Reasonable price for the amount of food you can enjoy.

This is the best Golden Corral location I’ve ever been to. Everything was fresh, it was clean, it was stocked, it was hot.

My family went to eat there Saturday night and the food was very good and the young man that was our waiter was very on top of everything

The food was very well seasoned. The service was good as well. However, my Father's debit card was charged twice. When he spoke to the cashier about the charges. She acted as if he charged himself. No accountability at all.

Breakfast is absolutely my favorite meal at a buffet! We had a great meal lots of variety. My favorites was the bacon, the biscuits and gravy, and the hash browns, oh and the chorizo and eggs. Next time I want get an omelette. Had to leave something to look forward to for next time lol.

Be very careful vegans are limited as it relates to cooked items. There's meat in all vegetables except potatoes and corn. They say it doesn't have any but there is and it's PORK!

I have just exit the higway to discover this place. It has all you can eat at just 9.99 dollars, with good food, high quality, all types of meat, salad, fruits, desert. I recommend this place, the food is very tasty.

Very nice place one of the better golden corrals I’ve been to in the country. The rolls are awesome. The service people are very nice. Miss Ashley was a great server very attentive. Hope I get to come back this way soon.

Went tonight with my husband for Veterans Day. Service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive. They are to be commended. Food was delicious. Missed the pot roast which is one of my favorites. Thank you all for doing this for our Veterans each year. God Bless you all. ♥️

My wife and I just got there for the lunch service. Our waitress was very good. All the food was very well. And the BBQ beans was the best. You have to try it. Also, loved the Christian music playing.

We were in town for the weekend and hadn’t eaten at Golden Corral in years because of lack luster experiences. We decided to give it another try and we’re re happy we did. This location is exceptional. The restaurant is clean, the food was delicious and the servers are friendly and efficient. We would definitely stop here again next time we come through this way.

The food was GREAT!! There was rarely an empty food tray. Our waiter was very pleasant and we never had to wait on a refill on our drinks nor the removal of empty plates. This GC is the BEST one I've eaten at. I would definitely recommend this location to everyone.

Very quality as far as buffets go. Nothing negative to say, at all. They keep it clean which is usually the knock on high traffic buffet places. Not here, though. 👍🏽👍🏽

I enjoy going to Golden corral but this location has been my all time favorite. The manager Jairus has this place running amazing! Excellent staff, customer service and great food. If you're looking for great food with great hospitality this is the spot.

We went just after lunch rush while the lunch prices were still effective. Some of the staff were cleaning after the lunch rush and other staff were re-stocking the buffet. We sat in an area that had just been cleaned and there were not many in the restaurant. The young lady that brought our silverware was very happy and came around fairly often taking the dirty dishes away and refilling our drink glasses. Even though it was a buffet, we left a small tip. I recommend going about 1:30 on a Monday or Tuesday.

Location was in Marshall TX. First time for me at this location and such a southern hospitality that you don't get in the city. Management and staff very friendly and customer service focused. I will definitely return next time I'm visiting.

I can't even remember the last time I ate at Golden Corral, but I can say that I'll definitely be back. It's a favorite of my aunt and uncle and my wife and I were treating them to a lunch date. We arrived to find both management and staff very friendly and a nice and clean environment. The selection of food was great and the seasoning was on point. It's been a while since I've eaten that much but I couldn't resist tasting as many options as possible. To end it, I waited just long enough to be able to squeeze in an ice cream desert on our way out. Nice job to the management and team!

Best Dinner in town ever night of the week. The kitchen cooks are polite, considerate, and accommodating. Exceptional staff from the front to the back over the 5 years I've been eating at this particular Golden Corral. The Fish is my Favorite besides being able to build a serious salad with boiled eggs, sauteed mushrooms, and steamed broccoli You can cut with a fork. Just plain delicious !!!

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly staff and you get to grab your own drink right out the gate. Price wasn't too bad considering it's a buffet and the food itself was very delicious. During our visit, they did a great job of rotating out fresh food and the server did a great job attending our needs such as refills and clearing our table of finished plates. Highly recommend!

Hello out there If you are like me you probably never knew that it's a Golden Coral in Marshall Texas However I was blessed with an opportunity to go and my my my I haven't regretted it I just wish that I knew about it sooner so that I could tell as many people's as I could. The food is fresh and presentation is beautiful. Now that you know get many as you can and go enjoy yourselves . Grilled corn and so much more.

Came here twice. I have family in Marshall. I like this one better than the one in Shreveport and Longview. More selection of food and the workers were very friendly. Highly recommend going there if you're not sure what you want to eat or if everyone wants something different

Love the variety of vegetables! Always hot and ready. The salad bar is good variety Need more sugar free or low sugar desserts.

It's a buffet...expectations aren't a 5 star restaurant. This GC is always clean. I see the staff following Food handling standards. Dishes are always a good temp (hot foods are hot, cold foods are cold). Entrees and sides are seasoned but not over seasoned (I'm sensitive to salt). Always a great selection. Quality is decent, sometimes I'd even go with good.... All in all, it's a terrific value where a group with dissimilar palates can all enjoy a satisfying, all you can eat meal. I frequent this GC on average once every 6-8 weeks.

This is the best Golden Corral I've ever eaten at. I'm not a fan of Golden Corral! But, I was pleasantly surprised at how good all my food choices were. We arrived at 11:30 am, so maybe that's the secret to fresh, perfectly cooked food. The broccoli and cauliflower were both cooked, but not soggy... There was a little crispness in the bite. The Pot roast with potatoes and carrots was delicious! The fried chicken liver and mashed potatoes were just like homemade. The best thing was the chicken gumbo with rice, tomato, and okra. And for dessert, I enjoyed the Rice Krispy treats, the chocolate dipped strawberries, and the soft serve ice cream. The manager here was out in the dining room, refilling tea and taking honey butter around to the customers. Two other employees smiled and spoke in a welcoming way. I would have given five stars if the restroom had been a bit more spacious and cleaner.

Very Clean, Excellent Service from Paulina. Food was Delicious. Only thing parents should NOT allow children up to get their food. Little boy not much older then seven. Got some fries, with the throngs provided. Then picked up, excess on plate with his fingers and put two back in the buffet. Pitiful

The food was okay. Nothing really stood out for me. But nothing was bad either. Well, I do think their brownie was pretty good. And their burger was pretty bad. Still all in all just ok all the way around.

Food selection was good. Liked the variety. Haven't been there in a long time. Was happy to go with the family. Someone told me they had remodeled so I guess it looked good.

We arrived around 730pm. They really didn't put out any fresh food after that. Some of the food that we did tasted pretty good.

We came here to eat because it's my daughter's favorite restaurant and of course they never disappoint we used to live in the area and came back to visit with family and couldn't help but they stop and eat here. The staff was wonderful our waiter who has taken care of us for several years now as always did an awesome job and made sure that we left full and happy and the kitchen staff didn't disappoint either. They were very nice and very helpful and we all left very happy!!! Thank you for making sure we had a good time and good food. And it couldn't have come at a better time we have had a lot going on with me being very sick and it was nice to feel normal just for a little while and really get to enjoy myself!!!

This place has really improved over the last couple years. We only wish it would stay open later as we tend to be later eaters. The beer batter fish is sooooo good. My family of 5 gets entirely different plates and everyone is happy. With this many options, if you leave hungry, it's your own fault.

The food is always good. We asked for a spoon and were told to go get it instead of the person bringing it to us. So needless to say, no tip. The tea was excellent! However, the tea cost us almost $8. Kind of ridiculous but I honestly would pay more for good iced tea. We rolled out of there stuffed as usual.

There was a nice selection of foods but not many healthier options. Since the pandemic folks are choosing better choices. Such as clean fish (trout,redfish)Lev:13. How about adding fried eggplant or eggplant parmensen to your menu? I'm more than sure if try this you'll get more customers dining here.

This is one of the better Golden Corrals I have been to in a long time. The restroom was clean and the staff was on top of their game for cleaning up after the costumes.

It was average. Food wasn't bad...nor did it "knock your socks off". I stopped by on a weekday, soon as they opened, expecting brunch but they didn't have any breakfast items out, so I just ate things that I liked.

This Golden corral is not near as good as the one in Waco. All of the vegetables were cold straight from the steam tables. In fact the only food I ate that was warm was the bread pudding. Now our waiter was very efficient. Jack was very nice and very nice to look at. Kinda disappointed with this.

While the food was eatable, there is no chocolate fountain, the ice cream machine was down, again. The women's bathroom needed attention. We used to really enjoy dinning out at this location because it was well managed and it showed!

Ate there for lunch for the first time and was disappointed. Which was surprising because the dinner buffet has been great every time we've been. I expected the food to be even better and fresher at lunch but now I'm thinking maybe lunch is leftovers? Or maybe just better cooks at dinner. Either way I recommend dinner but not the lunch buffet

First time in golden corral for breakfast. Food seemed ok. Some things were burnt and some did not seem fresh at all.

Very disappointed. Like all places now the music is too loud- you can not hear the wait staff over the music and additional noises. I had fried fish, okra ,2 shrimp , potatoes and 2 hush puppies. Except for the shrimp the fried items were fried to a hard crisp. There was a taste of maybe old oil. Husband had fried chicken dinner. He said it was Ok. They were busy and staff were friendly. I think $34...dollars for the dinner was way over priced. Wish I could give a more positive review.

It was our first time at Golden Corral in a while!we walked in and payed and got out tables BUT when we got our plates they didn’t even look washed!Not to mention the food was subpar and not as good as I’d hoped and I didn’t think there was that big of a selection compared to other locations with the company.They have really let the place go they kept the outside relatively clean but you could tell it wasn’t new not kinda of out dated but not at the same time(if that makes sense).I hope your experience was better than mine.

The service and cleanliness of this location was way better than the food surprisingly. I paid $40 and got a salad because I am vegetarian and didn’t see anything on the bar very appetizing. While my dad ate two pieces of fish, macaroni and cheese and salad. Definitely could have gone somewhere else and spent less. Definitely won’t waste my time again.

Watch your money when you pay with cash. I had a gift card and did not have enough on the card. So I owed $10 + gave her a $100 bill that she put in $50 . I did not count it because it was busy but when I get my wallet back out to tip. I saw what happened. I went back to her than another lady took my receipt to a little or small room. I man started looking at the video and told me that they could zoom in on the video. I told him that was me and he didn't zoom in. Than told me that they would call me. I say no that I was not going and I was loud. He said that he would call the police. I said that I was sorry. He then said he need to go check out the cashier and they were still busy. He finally brought me my $50.00 said that he would have to trust me. The food is great and the service at the table was good. Watch when you pay.

Staff seemed pretty nice, steak was too chewy I couldn't even eat it, catfish was great, and ice cream machine didn't have any labels so I had to dispense each flavor to see what they were. Overall a pretty nice place, just wish that the food was a bit better and there would be some labels

I went at 19:00 for thanksgiving because I was alone in town and it said it was open until 21:00 but it wasn’t. I was calling since the morning but never answered… I even asked through instagram. Update: I went a couples of days after, to be honest I didnt ask anybody about what happened before and I just enjoyed the food it was good. The only problem is that the girl charged me for a third person when we were only 2. But when I went there they corrected it and we enjoyed the food and the drinks (this are purchased separately so you know). Can’t complain about the food.

The place needs updating! the bathrooms are almost completely out of order! the food was okay, but a lot of it was not fresh! the waitstaff was somewhat attentive. there was a large variety Of starters entrees and desserts.

I stopped by this location with my daughter to get something for lunch. We both made selections independently and brought them back to the table. It took a while for the server to bring over the drinks after we sat down. What's the server started waiting on the table, she was capable and prompt when cleaning the table. There was some inconsistency with food taste in the green beans as My daughter threw away a second portion due to that inconsistency. The fish was empty for a while, before they refilled it. The broccoli selection appeared to be overcooked resting in water with three waterlogged pieces in the pan. Apparently we got there just after the lunch time and before the dinner time change over. The food trays were definitely not full and the food inside the trays was not hot. The bathrooms for both male and female were clean and presentable. The personnel working in the restaurant greeted us and appeared correctly dressed in uniforms.

Food was perfect, 2 stars left because of the server. Came in there today for my birthday dinner with my family, a grand total of 4 of us. Food was good as usual, but my parents weren't able to get their senior discount, and the server basically chased us down when we were leaving to ask about if the service was bad, it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst either. She continued to try to explain that they only made 2.13 per hour and live off their tips, which I get, but why would you only pay your servers 2.13/hr if they are only picking up plates and bringing refills? Doesn't make sense since it's not a full service restaurant, but to also have your servers chasing down customers because they felt they deserved a tip? I went ahead and tried to tip her after assuming a tip had been left, but talk about the audacity of that. This and the fact that you only give veteran discounts on veterans day and no longer give senior citizen discounts will be the reasons that we won't return nor refer.

I can assure you that this isn’t a 4.2 star restaurant and sure not worth $15 plate. I should have read first. Most of the food was cold and old at 7:00 Friday evening. The server was sweet and the only one that had any personality or cared to speak. Restrooms were disgusting. Won’t be back.

Plenty of food choices, just not as good as they used to be. Food seemed to be old, like it had been sitting out for a while. Restrooms were definitely bad. They needed attended too, ASAP. Only saw our waitress once when we sat down at the table. Never saw her again after that.

Golden Corral in Marshall! Usually one of our Favorite places to go! Unfortunately this visit yielded ...... (Pics Below) Everything looked and smelled good.... UNTIL ....As I was going to my table... I heard this lady say ... "There's a really long hair in that!" 😳 Then, We asked our server to get the trash up around our table...and he said "Sure I'll get that up. Do you want some rolls?" Then ... The mashed potatoes had Chunks like Potato salad...😳 And the Chicken... I could not find the rest of my chicken wing!!! It was Soooooo small! .... About 40 mins later the manager walks by our table ... Not Once but TWICE!!! ... I KNOW She saw that food and trash on the floor! And says NOTHING to the server in the area. I KNOW SHE DIDN'T THINK MY SISTER AND I DID THIS! 😳 The Jello dessert cups ... Tasted like "de dirt"! Instead of Dessert😳 The whipped cream should NOT be hard enough to pick Up off the Jello cup! ~~~You NEVER Know Who is In your presence~~~ #TheReviewQueen

This use to be so great of a place. I guess the management team changed, I don't dont. But today was the worst experience I've ever had from a restaurant. Our waiter was great, but the food was AWEFUL. it was completely dried out like if it had been there for hours without replacing. The rolls were cold, and didn't bring butter like they usually do. The family next to me fresh rolls cause his was cold too. Some of the vegetables on the line didn't have water in them like they usually do. They were dry as a bone. I asked one of the workers that was taking something off the line, how long has this food been on the line, and his exact words were, ( I have no idea). And he was the one working back there, and even he didn't seem to know how long the food had been on the line. The only thing good about the place was our waiter. She kept our empty plates cleared, she kept our drinks topped off. Very good lady. However, I won't go back there if they can't prepare the food any better than what they did that day. Our waiter name was Faith. Really sweet, awesome and professional young lady. So to Faith, thank you. You were the only good thing there that day.

OMG What a bad decision! First, sticker shock!!! I'm not sure that there was anything there that I enjoyed? The fried shrimp somehow had a sour taste, the fried okra was soggy and inedible, the smoked sausage oozed grease. Nothing was hot! Glad I'm not sick. I can't remember the last place I rated 1 star. It was gross...

I have never been to Golden Corral & after today I will not return. Cashier was very rude! Other employees were pleasant. Okra soggy. Roast was dry. Sweet tea not cold. Salad, shrimp, fried fish, roll & Cole slaw were ok. The Jello was watery, pudding was out of a can & the cake was frozen. The dining room is very warm, but the restroom was comfortable. For $54 USD...what a waste of money!

The waitress was sweet. The food was cold. Mashed potatoes dry not creamy The brown gravy wasn't brown gravy. The selection was not that good. The hottest thing there was the rolls our waitress brought to table.

Disappointing Experience for Group Dining I brought a group of 37 paying individuals from our TRIO Upward Bound college prep program to Golden Corral in Marshall, Texas. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations, especially considering the size of our group and the fact that we arrived on a charter bus and paid individually. We were disappointed to find that the management was not accommodating or welcoming to large groups. Specifically, they refused to provide a complimentary meal for our bus driver, which is a common courtesy extended by most restaurants when serving large parties brought in by bus. When asked, the manager stated that there was “no benefit” for them in doing so, which we felt showed a lack of hospitality and appreciation for our business. While the food itself was standard for a buffet, the overall attitude toward group service left a negative impression. We value partnerships with restaurants that support educational programs and student development, but unfortunately, this location did not demonstrate that level of care or community-mindedness. We do not recommend this location for large groups or educational programs.

But did you see the ladies room?We will not be back because of how filthy the restroom was. Never in my life have I been in a more disgusting ladies room at a restaurant. It was not just a bad day, it had not been cleaned in probably a year and the floors may have never been cleaned since the place opened. Also witnessed 2 employees enter the room, look in a stall, and walk out without washing their hands. Where are the health inspectors?
