Best spot in Santa Monica. I also personally love it better than any spot in LA. Their prices are very affordable and the portions sizes are big. I love their chili cheese fries, burgers and their burritos. The meat may be as little hard but the burrito is huge and it has flavor. The customer service is amazing. Every one works hard to please the customer. Its family friendly. Good spot for the munchies as well for my 420 lovers.

About 6 years ago, I came here and got a breakfast burrito. It was dry and really terrible. Fast forward to now, and the food is a total 180. Burger was awesome, breakfast burrito was awesome. Service is good, and tables can be a bit messy, but that’s just the local burger joint atmosphere you’ll get anywhere else too. My only gripe now is that the only salsas they have are pico de gallo and tapatío. It’s not a huge deal, but If you like fresh salsa, bring your own. Overall, definitely coming back.

Huevos Rancheros were delicious and filling to the last bite. Homecooked food in an unassuming location with a friendly family atmosphere. Highly recommended breakfast spot, plus i got a table quickly, though it was somewhat busy.

This is one of the best "Big Appetite" restaurants located in Santa Monica on Lincoln Ave. From Downtown Santa Monica, you'll want to get on Big Blue Bus #3 heading to LAX TRANSIT Ctr. You do NOT want the BBB #R3 (Rapid route 3) as it doesn't stop at this location. Only the regular #3 does. Your stop is called "Marine & Lincoln." If you want to get it to go, bring a foldable shopping bag with a good bottom. It helps you carry your food and drinks back onto the bus. George's Hamburgers has everything from breakfast burritos to pastrami sandwiches, onions rings, and more. The portions are huge and it well worth the price. The average sandwiches are $12.50-$19.99 each for a hungry man's appetite. I'm 300+ lbs, and I eat well, so I am informing you that usually just the sandwich will fill up an average person, NOT INCLUDING the awesome fries & onion rings. If you are anywhere near Santa Monica, this place is where you bring your money to FEAST. I come here to buy $100 dollars worth of food every time I order. There is very little parking for an influx of 25 cars or more. They do have ADA entrance and bathroom for customers only. They do have indoor dining but are limited to approximately 10 window booths or tables. It is best to get your food to go so you can enjoy your day at your destination. Out of all fast food restaurants in Santa Monica, CA, I rate George's Hamburgers #1 in FAST FOOD. You pay more, but you GET MORE. Don't waste your time on price gauging combo meals that doesn't give you the meat. This place delivers the meat and I suggest you turn it upside down to hold it all in. Wow! They do breakfast very well at an awesome price point, I got the French Toast with eggs, softly scrambled -- the French toast was exquisite, as was everything including the bacon and eggs. A decent portion, not overly large but definitely enough. And the prices are straight out of the 1980's lol. Just a good family orientated diner that aren't looking to rip you off. So obviously it's not just burgers but burritos, breakfast and coffee too. Brilliant. Support local mom/pop stores guys, because of you don't then all we will have is corporate chains....

I took my sons to George's for lunch today. It is a family favorite. In fact, during lunch today my older son said I have never had a bad meal at George's, they are completely reliable for an excellent burger and fries, a pastrami sandwich, or an egg cheese and bacon breakfast sandwich. In addition to having fabulous All American food, this family-run business has a full staff of wonderful and warm employees. They have always treated us like family, which is an added bonus.

Now I understand why there are always people and cars and activity at the corner of George's. We decided to find out why all the action for ourselves and now we know why. The burgers are huge and great quality. We actually split the double cheese with avocado and bacon and we overwhelmed with the great quality of the smokey meat and toppings. We also loved our order of onion rings which were not greasy and very tasty. The prices are quite reasonable and they make an extra effort to keep the premises super clean considering the volume. Great SM spot and nice alternative to the horrible chains that line Lincoln boulevard.

I visit George's on a regular basis. My new favorite is the breakfast tacos. YUM! Also, they have the BEST chilli cheese fries EVER!! I crave them!!!! I've attached a pic to show the fries 😁 And of course, all the other food is amazing. I think I'll head over there today for breakfast Lol

My husband took me here and my picky food eater daughters . Never been disappointed. Food is great and very reasonable. Staff and everyone is so welcoming. Super good comfort food at more than a reasonable price. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I love the chili cheese omelette with a Chile asado on the side. Coffee is piping hot and the food is hot!

Quick dinner after washing my car next door. Staff was extremely quick, respectful, and actually still served me tonight even though they were literally closing lol. I didn’t resize they were closing up, but still accepted me. The nice lady that rung me up just told me nicely that I have to order take out. They allowed me to use the restroom even after they had already cleaned it up as I was waiting for my burrito. No pictures unfortunately, but I got their California burrito and it was good for its price at about $12. They also didn’t have salsa other than Tapitio sadly. 5 stars because the food was good and more importantly the service was pristine. I’d definitely come back just for the decent food and amazing service after I wash my car each time. Wouldn’t hesitate. **Same nice lady gave me a water bottle when they saw me eating outside by my car, too. Lol*** Thank you!!!

I have driven 2000 miles, each way, to eat at George's. The pastrami sandwiches are THAT good. Always consistent. Always hot, fast and friendly. Have been going there for DECADES! Try the fried zucchini with ranch dressing. We ate in the truck...never made it out of the parking spot...SO great!

Really good food and service. Place looks old but so worth it. Service was amazing and friendly. Waitress brought food and offered to fix the blinds because the sun was beaming in, didn’t have to ask. Vegetarian burger was delicious although the bun might have been wheat, so a little different than basic white. Will go back!

I'm only there to review one stellar item. The California burrito here may just be one of the best, if not, The Best California Burrito in Los Angeles. The quantity of beef is just sublime. The fries are so good! God above be praised! And the seasoning, peppers, tortilla, all perfect. George's Burgers is THE PLACE to go for a definitive yet exceptional California burrito. Oh, and the vibes on Lincoln are always a nice treat!

I was on my way to McDonald's and I spotted this place, decided to eat here instead. I prefer small shop burgers. I have to say the service was very fast, although the price point for the burger (8.99) I found to be slightly over priced. I opted for the combo with fries and a drink for $16 and some change. The burger was good but a little sloppier than I like it. I don't like when condiments are spilling out and the burger is sliding out if my hand. Fries were great. I would recommend this place as a healthier alternative to McDonald's but it is more expensive. Great dining experience!

The California style of this place is so nostalgic. We had the Pastrami Burger and added pickles, zucchini fries, regular fries and a junior cheeseburger. They are very affordable and you get plenty for a great price. If you're looking for a juicy real meat burger and fries after a day at the beach, this is the place to go!

Open since 1995 I have lived near this place for many years and I’ve driven by it countless times but for some reason I’ve never tried it. Given that George is also my dog’s name I figured it was time that I tried it and I am so glad that I did. It’s a traditional to go burger spot, but they also have breakfast and other types of sandwiches and classic comfort food. They have a large free parking lot attached so parking is easy, the menu is gigantic with fair prices, and service was super fast and friendly. Everything that we ordered was ready about 10 minutes after we placed the order, even though it was quite busy inside on a Saturday night @ 7PM. Most people get it to go, but they do have tables indoor and out. For my first visit I wanted to try some of their higher rated items so I ordered a Double Avocado Cheeseburger and a Steak Sandwich. Both were fantastic, but the Steak Sandwich was especially good. The steak did not have fat at all, was perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly as I ordered it. The fries were also a really great side dish and I was just overall very impressed with the meal. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick and casual comfort food meal, and I plan to be back in the future to try more items.

However, I must add my two cents in two regards. Please better season the hamburger meat and please add biscuits and gravy to the menu. I was astonished that with such a complete menu offering you don't have biscuits and gravy. The burgers are good, but could be great with just a bit more flavor in the meat. Keep up the good work!

Very friendly staff and fast service. The Charbroiled burger is really good. Self service soda fountain. During peak hours parking may be a little challenging. Inside dining area well lit so you can catch up on your reading. 11/15/21 booths now have dividers between them. Also I watched bums come in to fill their soda cups and ask for your left overs while you eat.

My first time here. The Double Cheeseburger with Fries I had was really good.

I saw on Google Maps that George’s was not as busy as normal. I saw that they have Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries. I found easy parking and a free table. I ordered it as a combo with a drink. I asked for Crispy fries and grilled onions. The portion was enormous and I was only able to eat 1/4th of it. Loved the grilled onions, good cheese, good meaty chili but they didn’t give me crispy fries, just soft, limp fries. I still really enjoyed it. The price was very reasonable for the size of the order. A table of 4 could really share this as their whole meal.

The food is great . They have a lot to pick from . The only bad thing they close at 9:30pm …..not 10pm. The employees lock the door and won’t let anyone in after 9:30pm. Other than that , the restaurant is a great place to eat .

Was driving by and saw this great old-style hamburger shop, so I brought my European cousins with me and we enjoyed the food and service. The cashier was super nice and the food portions were enormous and delicious! Everyone loved it! The little boys got gyros and fries, their parents (my cousins) got burritos - I've never seen such gigantic, stuffed burritos! I had an egg sandwich and loved it! Will definitely come again! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the bathroom.

Food is alright, reminds me of those good Hood Burger spots that was like $5 or $6 for a combo some time ago and now it's a good $15... Nostalgia kicking for sure, those signature fries with the Lawry's type seasoning and some ranch hits... Tommy's/In N Out Chili peppers compliment and hit the flavor buds good. The burger...the burger... I don't know why but it was missing something for me personally... The portion was great but I wasn't addicted to the next bite like other burger joints like In N Out, maybe needs MSG or more salt in the patty. The sauce on the burger was whatever too, could definitely be better.... Like a good homemade mayo sauce with jalapeno, cilantro, lemon, lime, more peppers/seasonings and sour cream blended could make that burger tasted better but I don't know, that Thousand Island sauce ain't it.

It was very average American breakfast. Reasonable price and big portions. I have had better at diners, but it still tasted good and it was a lot less expensive. Kitchen staff were kind and friendly and I felt welcomed here. Good place to stop if you're hungry and just need some decent food. I ordered French toast combo which came with eggs bacon syrup and butter all for under $10. Can't beat a price like that!

Easy to order, relatively low price and portions are big enough. And they have fountain drinks where you can get Dr. Pepper even though the cups advertise Pepsi. Though burgers are like burgers, not much difference from average burgers. Even with bacon and avocado added. Maybe the restaurant has other menu items, but it has the word burgers in its name, I rate the restaurant by its burgers.

Haven't had a meal here that was in any way unsatisfactory. Always delicious and generous portions. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only drawback, and it's minor, is that some of the booths need repairs. Of course, for breakfast or lunch, one is sometimes lucky to find an open booth. The food doesn't suffer from the crowd, though.

Actually...I come here frequently. My lady and her friend love this place. I mean they really love this place a solid notch above what's available out there. Almost daily, I journey 2 George's to pick up some grub for my people. Personally, if it's up to myself, I go somewhere else to eat.

Been coming to George's since I can remember, love the food! Is 5:48 p.m and is cold and I was craving a decaf and unfortunately they only had regular. I had ask them if they can make me some decaf and my request was denied because to them the rest of the coffee will go to waste. Never had a experience like these before. I will continue to come I just wish they made my decaf:(

Service was very nice. A fast food dive. Food was way too expensive for what it was. 1 Hot dog five bucks. Food was a little pricey.

It says closing time is 21:00, we went to the restaurant at 20:30 and they didn't let us in. We asked them to do takeaway only but they still didn't let us in.

I told them that I would come at 8:30 and just do pickups, but they told me they would close at 8:30.

Just left after patiently waiting for my order to be taken for a man to come in after me for the cook who kept looking at me to ask the gentleman what he wanted then laugh and ask me what I wanted. It's okay I know when I'm not wanted I will keep my Black dollars in my pocket. It's sad they came Highly recommended too.

I took my mom to eat breakfast here. Worst experience while eating. The cooks and staff were having a loud conversation, while we ate. That wasn't the problem the problem was they were just cussing up a storm in Spanish. I can't repeat everything they said but let's just say this is not to the place to take your mom to breakfast because these cooks or what not have no respect for the clients eating at there restaurant. This was my favorite place to go but they won't be receiving any of my hard earned money again. One star.

Expensive it's on the pricy side they way over charge and for extras example extra bacon $5 for two small slices. They have no salsas for burritos! The food is okay but high in prices the place also needs upgrades looks old and smells old .

The bacon breakfast burrito is a potato bomb! Waaaaaaaay too many hash browns and it was poorly rolled so it was hashbrowns on top and eggs, bacon and cheese on the bottom. If you’re after a breakfast burrito, go elsewhere.
