Restaurante espectacular, parece que entras en un buque de madera antigua, con un ambiente cálido y un producto de lujo y bien tratado. Además, si vas entre semana, puedes disfrutar a mediodía de un menú bastante completo y riquísimo, el cual puedes tomarlo por 25 euros en su barra cuadrada, (en la que comes con mantel y se está de lujo, muy acogedor), o por 35 euros en su maravilloso salón. La atención de los camareros es tan cercana como exquisita, y hacen que disfrutes de una velada estupenda. Recomiendo sin duda este restaurante, tanto por lo bonito que es, como por la profesionalidad de su equipo y, por supuesto, por ser el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de los mejores productos del mar. Dispone también de una terraza con unas vistas increíbles de toda la costa. Un 10 sobre 10, en todos los sentidos....

Marisquería increíble. Tienen un producto de 10 y siempre se nota la calidad en cada plato. El pulpo con su receta es espectacular, de los mejores que he probado. Me encanta ir, nunca defraudan. Totalmente recomendable.

IMPRESIONANTE le doy mis 5⭐️ sin duda alguna. A TODA LA COMIDA LE DOY UN 10, A LAS VISTAS OTRO 10 Y A LA ATENCIÓN Y AL TRATO ¿adivináis? OTRO 10. Es un sitio mágico con unas vistas espectaculares nosotros comimos fuera y fue BRUTAL y dentro es como estar en piratas del caribe (pero comer dentro lo dejamos para otra ocasión… De entrantes pedimos pulpo (sabía a Mar como a mí me gusta) unas ostras y zamburiñas (todavía tengo ese sabor taaaaan…. “flipas en colores” en la boca) una ensaladita muy muy rica y los chopitos que no se quedaron nada cortos. El arroz con bogavante que nos comimos… eso fue de otro mundo necesito volver a comerme ese arroz 🥹 Eso si, no es barato (entendible), pero merece la pena cada céntimo que pagas, PORQUE TE LO COMES Y MUUUUY BIEN Y MUUUY AGUSTO!!! En resumen, si te lo puedes permitir, yo lo recomiendo 500%, desde luego que no os vais a arrepentir…

La decoración del restaurante te sitúa en una "goleta/galeón" de los de antaño. Inmejorable el escenario. Buena comida, bien atendiendos y con calidad del producto.

Cada vez que venimos a Cabo Cervera, este restaurante es un "must" en nuetras vacaciones. Cuenta con un amplio salón, barra, aparcamiento y una espectacular terraza con vistas al mar. Su servicio es impecable y su gestión de reservas inmejorable. En cuanto a su comida destaca por su calidad y producto fresco. Además cuenta con adaptación de platos para los alérgenos, especialmente para los celíacos. En cuanto a platos los chopitos, los berberechos y la mariscada nunca fallan. Gracias a todos los que hacéis funcionar el Barlovento, sin duda, volveremos.

I dined at Barlovento one early evening in January 2024. It’s right on the beach, so I can only imagine how stunning the view must be in spring or summer. Sadly it was pitch dark when I went, but the cosy atmosphere inside made up for it. The place is like a pirate ship brought to life, with gorgeous wooden details and loads of character. Their seafood menu is massive, even seaurchin makes an appearance. I started with the most tender octopus (seriously, how do Spanish chefs get it that perfect?), then eggs with seaurchin (I’d have happily had more seaurchin and a lighter touch on the cooking), followed by a paella that was absolute perfection, and a dreamy, creamy crema catalana to finish. I paired different wines with my starter and main, which worked a treat. Service was just as memorable. The gent looking after me, from South America, was so warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. Fabulous food, great vibes… I’d go back in a heartbeat, especially in daylight for that sea view.

We ordered entrecote which was very delicious but on the other hand the other stuff on the plate wasn’t as good as we had hoped which gives the food a four out of five stars. Other than that we have no complaints we really liked the place, got some ice cream for free after our food, the service was great.

We went to Barlovento to celebrate my stepfather’s birthday. Even though it’s a seafood restaurant, I ordered a steak and it was excellent. The location near the sea adds to the atmosphere, and the staff were welcoming. Many of the waiters spoke several languages, which made ordering easy and pleasant. A place I’d be happy to visit again.

Wonderful dinner with sea view We had dinner at Barlovento last night and really enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere was lovely, especially during sunset — the view of the sea is simply stunning. Prices were absolutely reasonable for a beachfront restaurant, and the dry white wine we ordered was perfectly acceptable. All in all, a very pleasant evening in a beautiful setting. Would happily return!

Great Spanish restaurant! Many different meat and fish dishes, both starters and main courses, accompanied with good local (Spanish) wines. The dishes are quite big, but nicely served. Definitely value for money. Certainly the desserts are a treat for the eye (and taste buds), very tasty! Staff is very friendly and regardless of how busy it is, very fast in helping you. Highly recommended!

We recently had an evening meal at Barlovento. One of my Spanish friend has recommended the place. It’s a lovely setting by the beach and the food is very authentic and tastes really good, it’s a bit expensive but would definitely recommend for a good evening meal or for a celebration.

It was expensive but very very good. Staff were helpful and the toilets were very clean, lovely location and it was a beautiful nautical theme which I love!!! I recommend the hake accompanied by Coke zero. (My preference) maybe if you prefer you could have sangria my dad said it was fantastic.

Nice fish restaurantwith amazing seaview from the terrace. Inside looks like a boat with wooden decoration. The food is exquisite, fresh and well prepared, real professionals. We had a special lunch menu for only €25. Normally the restaurant is little bit more expensive but you get the best quality so it is worth it. Place to be.

El trato del personal muy bien, la comida bien, pedimos un arroz del señoret para dos muy bueno, el pulpo me esperaba mas, tierno pero el exterior zonas secas. El precio algo elevado pero estas pagando también el sitio donde estas con vistas al mar si estás en la terraza.

Food was delicious and the staff were friendly, well trained and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. When they didn’t have my first choice they were able to discuss and describe possible alternatives. Being right at the seas edge the atmosphere and ambiance were amazing! My only slight criticism is that it isn’t cheap! We spent over €150 on 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 pudding and 1 bottle of wine. A place for special occasions!

Beautiful place with the most fantastic atmosphere both inside and outside. Located with view directly to the beach. Made reservation for 19:30 and arrived a bit early only to get told the kitchen doesn’t open until 20:00. Would have been nice with that information from the web site. Ordered starters and main. First came the most delicious fresh baked bread with aioli and tomato. Very nice but I never understood why they bring something you didn’t order and they put it on the bill🤷🏼‍♂️ Starter was very nice as well and then came out main dishes. Quickly I noticed mine was not what I ordered. Asked 2 waiters why I got a different dish and I insisted on looking at the menu again. My fish was 3 lines above what I ordered. They said sorry and offered to make the right one in 10min times but then my daughters food would be cold or she should eat alone. Not nice when it was a birthday dinner. Dessert was also really nice but very huge potions. Then we had to ask 4 times, 3 different waiters and wait 30min to get the bill and pay. Not one time did they ask if food was okay or we wanted more wine or anything.

Honestly the food was tasty and very oryginal HOWEVER the prices were in my opinion too high. Dishes started at around 30 euro, deserts at 15... Had equally as tasty things if not better for half that. And the stake was definitely not cooked well enough. We ordered medium rare and as you can see in the photo it was rare at best. Sure, it was good but not made as ordered and when you pay this much for your food you expect a bit more. We were also served by multiple waiters which was sometimes confusing. Not a bit deal but still, not what you expect for that price. On the bright side the avocado starter was fantastic and the desert cheesecake was out of this world. Would come back just to eat it again for that 15 euro. And the view of the sea is beautiful. We ate as family of 5 but 2 of us did not order a main meal and we still paid 323 euro. Oh, and not really any vegetarian option, just fish and such.

Not sure what I was expecting, but I have mixed feelings about Barlovento. The food was very good (we had Sirloin Steak with bacon and mushroom - chefs own recipe), the service... Not so much. The staff speaks some English but feels like they don't really want to. I asked which wine they would recommend with the meat, and if we could only get one glass for my mom, since I didn't want any. We were served some wine, with no information on what it was (not something I'd expect in a nice place like this, I hoped to see the bottle). We had to complain, since it wasn't very good and the waiter seemed irritated, then brought some wines for tasting and a dirty wine glass... Again not giving us much information on wines being tasted, or showing the bottle. The steaks weren't cooked to our wishes (I ordered medium rare and my mom well done - both were undercooked, but still tasty) and they mixed our plates while serving, so we had to swap plates... Other than that, we generally simply didn't feel welcome and that cast a huge shade over our experience with the restaurant. Can get pricey, but I'd say the decor and atmosphere of the outside part, combined with the quality of food is worth it. Definitely try the chefs own steak, the sauce was amazingly good. Deserts were amazing and nicely served. I also really liked how the waiter poured my gin and tonic at the table, very professional. Overall service can be improved though.

Interesting, interior of a ship. Cozy, the staff is not very kind, it would be nice to have a smile or a kind word. Not today. Everything is average… especially the food. Not bad, but nothing special, a kind of canteen menu serving in an expensive place. The outside area is beautiful, right next to the sea, but the surroundings are full of trash, it would be worth paying attention to it just after the pandemic “season”. Overall: we weren’t welcome, but we paid a nice price for it. Disappointment, we expected something better.

Nos llevamos una gran decepción, precios elevados para la calidad de la comida. El pulpo que era el plato estrella, tenía un leve sabor ácido y la paella estaba salada, sumado al hecho que cobraron 45 € por una jarra de sangría (no estaba en la carta, fue un error pedirla). The setting is beautiful, I wanted something romantic however the food was nice but definitely overpriced and as other people have said the service was terrible. I felt like I was asking for a favour when I asked for a menu, every interaction with the waiting staff was was a chore. I am sad to say I wouldn't recommend as it is such a beautiful setting to watch the sun go down.

There is a lot of hype about this place and I was looking forward to eating here. I was so disappointed with the food, I was expecting something exquisite considering the price tags. You know when you go to a bar and pay 10€ for a “menu del día” that’s what the food was like, yet you will get charged a minimum of 50€ a head. If you don’t like fish, don’t go. I tried someone’s salmon stake and it was way to salty, the chips are not home made, they are frozen and were brought to me a bit burnt, my chicken was cut up into tiny squares as if I was 6 years old and the brownie was cold! The wine was nothing special either. UPDATE I actually took a picture of the presentation of your “cut up chicken” I don’t know what’s worse, your food or your lies and despicable service.
