When I tell you this place reminds me of back home in California I really mean it, the restaurant itself is always spotless and clean. The meat they sell is always fresh and vibrant in color, the open kitchen in the back is always super clean as well. The food itself is perfect, flavorful, juicy and basically cheap. The portions are filling and delicious, the meat has been marinated and well seasoned. I frequently eat here and the staff remember what I always order and how I like my sauces which is always a plus. They never disappointed me and I will always invest in their business.

Hands down and by far THEE best AUTHENTIC Mexican joint I’ve ever eaten at. And the price was cheap! I’ve been in Delaware for a little over a week on a job and have eaten at a variety of restaurants around town from Mediterranean to Italian, La Estrella Tienda Mexicana is the best out of them all. My only regrets are that I didn’t find this place sooner, and that my stomach wasn’t big enough to try everything on the menu. OH MY GOD!! I only ordered the chicken quesadilla, and it was muy delicioso! This thing was THICC, tons of cheese, tons of freshly cooked chicken, avocado, tomato… oh my! I will definitely be frequenting this restaurant as much as possible when I return. Overall, 10/10!

This place has the BEST MEXIVAN FOOD IN NEWCASTLE I DONT GET MY TACOS FROM ANYWHERE ELSE. the chorizo are great the chips. You know I can go on and on. Just go there and get 3 stake taco Supreme and you will find out what the best tacos yast like

Amazingly delicious food. The tacos are stuffed full of meat. They fill them up. Burritos are delicious too. Definitely my new favorite Mexican food place.

Fantastic food, real Mexican food, best burritos and taco anywhere. Prices are fantastic! The staff doesn’t speak much English and there is limited seating and Mexican programming on TV which is not always great for my kids so I mostly get orders to go. Great place for take out!! This is a must- try, you’ll love it!

Best tacos I've ever had. I always get the bistec (steak) tacos. I've never had a problem with the service. Only thing is sometimes the meat tastes a little old and dry but I've rarely had the problem. It's usually fresh and hot. The only down side is they used to be $1.50 each now they're $2. I usually order 6 so I would pay $9 before but now its $12. I'll still get then even though there is a price change get because to me its worth it. I sometimes shop in their store because they have a lot of imported things from Latin America that I used to use as a kid and can't find anywhere else.

Penny pinchers spent $86 on 6lbs of meat seasoned and still wanted to charge me .25 for a plastic bag. I was trying to avoid the season juice from going on my carpet.

the bad experiences I've had are more about the poor customer service which I have overlooked due to the delicious food. However today's experience will end all of my visits to this store! I referred friends and spoke all good things of those place and today my friends went and were charged $14 for 4 tacos. This is clearly a ridiculous price SO BEWARE THIS RESTAURANT TAKES FULL ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS NOT FIRMILIAR WITH MEXICAN FOOD & do not be expected to be greeted by warm smiles or even a simple "thank you". Easily the most uncomfortable place I've ever eaten
