I haven't been here since just before the pandemic, but it continues to be great! The service is excellent, and the food and drinks are top quality! My pork was a little over-cooked, but other than that, everything was delicious!

Missed breakfast, but wowed by dinner service and Sam's hospitality! Our stay at The Westin in Delaware started with a slight misstep - we arrived just after the 10 am breakfast cutoff. Disappointed but ready for dinner (starting at 5 pm), we waited eagerly for the doors to open. Upon entering, we were promptly seated and warmly welcomed by Ariana and our server, Sam. Their attentiveness and friendliness immediately impressed us. When I mentioned the lack of a microwave in the room and my desire for the roasted chicken, Sam surprised me by offering to have maintenance bring one! This blew me away, and I happily accepted her offer. My husband, Dr. Angel, opted for the cheeseburger. Both portions were generous, and we couldn't finish them all. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious in-room breakfast. This Thanksgiving getaway was the perfect blend of relaxation, planning for future business ventures, and indulging in delicious food. While our room and the hotel was very dated, the staff, particularly Sam, were exceptional and made our stay truly memorable. We will definitely be returning to The Westin in the future!

Stopped in Sunday evening and ended up having one of the BEST burgers and fries EVER! Albeit was very pricey at $17 plus an upgrade for the Parmesan Truffle fries, but the flavor was top notch. I ordered the Jawn Burger (formerly the Scruffy burger) which is on a brioche bun, topped with goat cheese, caramelized onions, and a bacon jam. The ooey gooey melted cheese combined with the onions and sauce made this burger INCREDIBLE! This hidden gem of an eatery is located inside the Westin hotel at the Wilmington Riverfront, so don't miss out going here just to dine! I'm a fan and I can't wait to go back! So glad I stumbled upon this!

Great place to eat. Nice atmosphere. Good, polite service and acommodating chef, as we have dietary restrictions. They worked with us without attitude. Food was great. Will be back.

I've got to say for this being a hotel restaurant they have some pretty good food. I've been here a couple of times and each time I've been pleasantly surprised at the freshness and the taste of the food.there are not very many restaurant choices in Wilmington but it has gotten better over the past few years. If you haven't been here I'd recommend trying to even though it is a hotel restaurant.

We started with the housemade tater tots with aioli- which we LOVED. The chef's insired dish was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very nice. And we practically had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday night!

The food was tremendous in this hidden gem. The choices were limited but not one fell short. A bit pricey but worth every penny in taste and tasteful presentation with an accommodating staff

We had gotten into Wilmington at night, and this restaurant was close to our hotel. They were about an hour and a half til closing. The service was great. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable about everything on the menu, made great drinks, and welcomed my wife and I to town. The food was good as well, especially the truffle fries. It really set the tone for our trip, as it was our first impression. Thank you.

Enjoyed early morning breakfast at River Rock. Service was speedy, food was hot, and although I hate Starbucks coffee, here it was pretty good. Friendly staff and my waitress was attentive. My breakfast was plenty and the price reasonable. I recommend trying them out

My husband and I ate dinner for the very first time here tonight. The appetizers were flavorful, we enjoyed a glass of wine, had nice conversation, we could hear one another talk. Our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, kind, had great timing each time she checked on us. Our dinners were delicious. If you are looking for a nice quiet dinner with great service and delicious food. Try it out. You won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed the wings and flatbread on the late night menu. The bartender Brooke was great! She was friendly and very attentive. She made sure to ask if the food was ok and if we needed anything. We enjoyed talking to her too. We recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

I came to the restaurant last minute before close and was greeted by Amanda. I felt so bad coming at the last minute but Amanda’s energy was AMAZING and so inviting. She kept good energy the entire time, very attentive to everything I needed, and was honestly the sweetest server I’ve had in a LONG time. Even with the kitchen about to close, my food was cooked exactly how I asked and tasted great. Amanda made this experience great for me. She truly did her thing!

Great Valentine's dinner filet mignon special. My wife enjoyed the background music and atmosphere, especially for a hotel restaurant, and interesting dish presentation. Knowledgable and personable wait staff. Overall very enjoyable evening, and we'll be back.

Service was great and food came out fast. I got the wings, it's a ten piece, but the wings are really small. Other than that, it was a good dining experience.

Food was good. The wait for service was very long. It was not overly busy. The wait staff promised some crackers for the hungry baby to gnaw on.....then over 10 minutes went by before she came back.

K

We had a work breakfast meeting here and I was impressed that the breakfast tasted more like a restaurant than a hotel. Not bad at all. I want to go back and try dinner here.

J

Breakfast buffet was awesome and only 16 dollars. Service was great. Definitely recommend dropping in.

Hostess and waitress were beyond excellent. Friendly and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed both women. The restaurant was empty except for 3 other dinners. Menu posted online was different, I was hoping for a smash burger. The crab and corn bisque was very good. I sat in a booth and felt like my chin was on the table I would necessarily return

Finally! I made it to the River Rock Kitchen which is located inside the spotlessly clean and beautiful Westin Hotel. Once my best friend and I dined at the bistro, we were welcomed by two female staff members. Good customer service is appreciated very much. We weren't too hungry so we ordered a large bowl of their crispy and well-seasoned fries and beverages. We came during lunchtime. The prices are reasonable and the restrooms are simply immaculate and contemporary. I was impressed. This is a great place for a good meal with indoor and outdoor seating. I hope to return soon to explore more tasty items off their menu! Recommended.

This is a great place for a good plate! The food is cooked fresh. Tried the mushroom soup and it was superb. The crispy shrimp appetizer was also great with ample portion and seasoned perfectly. My salmon entrée was good but absent of the citrus cream sauce and a little heavy on the salt as was the saffron rice and sautéed spinach. The chocolate cake was divine! Our server, Cindy, was friendly and helpful!

Had another chance to dine at River Rock Kitchen inside the Westin in Wilmington, DE, and it's definitely a place of contrasts. It's got its highlights, but there are a few things they could brush up on. Let's start with the good stuff. Sam, our server, was fantastic. She's got this way of making you feel right at home, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. It's service like hers that can really make a meal memorable. The chicken I had tonight was pretty impressive, too. Cooked just right, flavorful, and hit the spot perfectly. The drinks were another win – mixed well and complemented the meal nicely. But it wasn't all smooth sailing. I ordered a burger last night, asked for it medium, but it came out more on the well-done and slightly charred side. It's those little details in cooking that can make a big difference. The menu could do with a bit of a shake-up, too. It's a bit on the narrow side for my liking. They could really benefit from adding a filet or something similar for steak lovers. It would round out their offerings nicely. And, the cheesecake... well, it wasn't quite up to par. It gave off that store-bought or maybe thawed vibe, which you don't really expect in a place like this. Homemade desserts would be a game-changer for their menu. I'm in Wilmington quite a bit, a few weeks each year, so I'm really invested in places like River Rock Kitchen. They've got some solid groundwork, but with a few tweaks, they could really elevate their game. Fingers crossed they take this to heart – a place with this much potential deserves to shine.

Service was very poor and extremely slow. I couldn't tell who our waiter was. 4 people tried to take our order at one time. The service aside the food was spectacular. I got the chicken panini and it was much better than average.

M
Margaret Ellis

Understaffed, food over-priced, but well-prepared. Our overworked server was very conscientious, his co-worker was not.

L
Luca Politza

Food is average but service was poor. Waited an hour for breakfast food only for them to mess up order. Besides that, it's okay.

Great customer service, but food is bland. I had the chicken panini for lunch. Definitely underwhelmed for the price.

They served my $45 steak with a plastic fork and a spoon. It took 30 minutes for someone to bring a steak knife. They claim to be a hotel restaurant, but if you order to the room, you will be disappointed. Two stars because the french fries were delicious. Would love to try the steak sometime if this place can figure out how to do room service.

I wanted to like this place but I just couldn't. I order the the Brussels sprouts because I LOVE them. but not here. they were undercooked and VERY hard. they lacked a lot of flavor and when I got to the bottom of the dish, I found them swimming in oil. I also ordered the sweet potato ravioli. they were surprisingly bland and swimming in butter. the menu said brown butter but I think it was just melted butter because it lacked that nutty brown butter flavor. I might give them another try if I stay in the Westin the next time I'm in Wilmington.

Online menu/information does not reflect that there is different service on the weekends that has about three basic options and a buffet (that was not even offered this weekend). Other patrons at adjoining tables were just as surprised. In addition, there was clearly a skeleton crew working as food took a long time and was overcooked/poor quality (ie microwaved French toast, obliterated eggs, store bought bagel, etc.)

I really dislike posting bad reviews. This is a Westin, not your local diner. Expectations are greater. Do not serve the appetizer, which was cold, with the dinner.Seafood pasta should be a linguine, angel hair, not shells. Really disappointing for this name.

Decent hotel-quality food, at least once it finally came out of the kitchen. Wings and steak were good. Not very cozy, feels like you're sitting in a bright hotel lobby. Awful service, clearly understaffed. Took a very, very long time to even get a drink. We sat with just water, no bread or anything for 45 minutes. Entree came out before appetizer. They at least didn't charge me for our drinks but then when I received the bill there was a unknown extra charge that I had to get removed. Glad I noticed, the staff just seems very disorganized. Skip this one, there are much better spots to get dinner in the Riverfront.

This is a hotel lobby restaurant, which wasn’t what I expected. The service was good; the servers were energetic and welcoming. However, the food was disappointing. I went for brunch and was surprised that even something as simple as French toast was awful. It was spicy and sour at the same time. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn’t work out.

Here on business ordered from my room on line. The site said I could pay cash, card or charge to my room after delivery and would not give pay by a card option on line. I was worried so I ran down to pay with my card to make sure it wasn’t charged to the company room. They informed me despite what it claims on line it automatically gets charged to the room. I was polite and asked if by any chance they could cancel my order and just reorder in person on my card. The manager said no problem. I thought it was smooth. They said they could bring my food up. Welp when I got my food apparently I pissed some one off. It was disgusting. No lettuce, tomato or the extra bacon I requested came on my burger . No big deal. Just a patty and cheese. Still no big deal. But the burger was gritty like thrown in a fry vat or dirty grill. Covered in small black chunks and piece. Both sides not pepper. Like burnt grit or dirt. I got Brussels in stead of fries. I lifted my burger up and there was two inches of grease and oil in the bottom of my bowl. Which make me think dipped in a vat? Idk. I took a couple crunchy bites of my burger almost like dirt and I could not and was scared to eat the rest. I stay here a few times a year never ordered food probably just going to stick to going out to dinner or door dash.posted pics of the bowl of oil and grease. Soggy Artichokes were not even edible, I put it all out side. You would think you can not mess those up. I didn’t trust anything after the few burger bites anyway. See for you selves.

Soup and sauces were thick and sweet. Service was slow even though the restaurant was empty. They were out of almost every draft beer.
