A Charming Old Restaurant in Sausalito — a Perfect Spot for an Evening Out! The restaurant’s vintage design creates a unique ambiance, with a stunning ceiling and beautiful views of San Francisco adding a special charm. The service was exceptional, and our waiter was very attentive. The food deserves a special mention. We had the medallion with shrimp in an unusual sauce — absolutely delicious! The grilled seafood mix with rice and vegetables was perfect, and the scallops were exquisite. The cocktails and wine list were also impressive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Sausalito!

LOVED this place! We had dinner on a Sunday…very relaxed. I am a VERY PICKY EATER and picky in general! My daughters and I loved it! Great steak, great crab meat, amazing view! GREAT SERVICE, the owner was there and he is such a gentleman! I will def be here again! I liked it A LOT MORE than Barrel Tavern.

LOVE this place. I've been coming here for years whenever we have visitors in town. You just can't beat the views. The terrace as well as the dining room have spectacular views. They offer valet parking at ok prices, which is very convenient. The service is always very attentive and quick. They offer California cuisine classics and the food portions are good size and the food is tasty. It is on the more expensive side. Overall, I think it's worth it and I'll be back.

Amazing meal at The Trident! We came here after a recommendation from the attendant at the bike storage around the corner and weren’t disappointed. His suggestion was to get a table outside and we’re so glad we did! Each table had a good level of sun/shade, many with their own parasols. We were quickly seated and drinks were with us within minutes (I went for the Tequilla sunrise - yummy but strong!) The gentleman who served us had great menu knowledge! We ordered a variety of dishes and he arranged for them to come out one/two at a time, which meant we got to enjoy each plate hot! The octopus tacos were amazing, as were the crab cakes! It was all great! The service was swift and unobtrusive but the waiter whose name I didn’t catch - apologies, was chatty and super friendly. We nearly didn’t come here as it was ‘the first place we saw’ but were so glad we went back to after the recommendation! The views are beautiful too!

Best place to enjoy the bay view and have great food in Sausalito. The service was great and staff were so friendly. The menu didn’t have many veg options, I ended up ordering the only veg option that was in the menu (No meat pasta). It was decent!

Upon arriving and parking valet is on site. Believe it is $10 an hour could be mistaken. Arriving inside you are greeted by a nice wooden interior with plenty of windows to look at the bay and distant San Francisco city. The food itself is a bit on the pricier side but given the area it is expected. I ordered the Maine lobster tail which was about $68. The wait did not take too long. The veggies were great and the lobster tail was delicious. Overall a bit nice and pricy then I’m used to but good upscale with beautiful scenery.

The food here was delicious! My waiter seemed a little off, not sure how to describe it and there were a lot of flies clustered around the restaurant. I would probably opt to order out moving forward.

Fantastic risotto, make sure you let them know you want your crab cakes hot otherwise you’re gambling with your dining experience. Israel and the supporting staff were great.

Some of the best clam chowder in the SF Bay Area; one issue: it was almost room temperature to cold when it came to our table. Recipe-wise it was excellent, can't vouch for its freshness (three days later we're ok so... no harm done i guess). Cozy ambiance, beautiful views & excellent service by the hostess. Their crab sandwiches and salads are fresh and delicious. I'd stick to seafood here; a while back we tried one of their steaks and... eh. Service overall can be hit or miss depending on who shows up at your table; seen some questionable behavior by waitstaff but luckily this didn't happen to us. We were left waiting a while before we could flag down a waitperson and sometimes a simple order of garlic fries takes... 25 minutes (not 5 like we were told). Maybe they were busy (?); not sure. We live nearby so maybe we'll come by again when we have friends visiting from out of town.

Nice place to visit for the historical aspect but otherwise not worth the effort. The table was sticky and the place needs a deep clean and renovation. The Tequila Sunrise was average, my Chowder was good but everyone else was disappointed with their food. Nice view of the bay and SF and when every other restaurant was booked at 7pm on a Saturday, now we know why this one wasn’t. Cool Stones story and only in Marin County does the Gov’t put up a plaque memorializing the story quoting Keith Richards and the 72 Cocaine and Tequila Sunrise US tour.

My partner and I sat down for dinner immediately by the host and all seating areas were available. My partner and I, from there were given little to no service. With a restaurant so empty, it was mind boggling why our server did not attend to us. He let the soup bowls and then salad plates, just sit there when we were done. The surf and turf steak arrived 30 mins later… it tasted like expired meat and the lobster like plastic. Not sure if they thought buttering the meat would hide the bad quality but we just paid and left. Our server didn’t bother asking how’s the food because I’m sure he knew it was not good. Go here for a cocktail to enjoy the view, but save yourself the stomach ache. Eat anywhere else in Sausalito.

We were really looking forward to dining at the Trident for having made a reservation one month prior for a large party of 8. We had requested an ocean view but were placed in the middle of the restaurant where the server was kind but the service was slow. We waited 30min after the server had brought out our drinks for our order to even be taken. Another 30-40min for our food to be served and another 15 minutes to even get the attention of the server for some more water. Some of our party liked their food but others felt it was lackluster for the cost of each meal there was nothing that stood out on each plate. I had ordered the mixed grilled seafood platter and I could smell that something was off the moment they had brought out my dish. The shrimp on my plate was literally rancid, spoiled and inedible!!!! There were flies everywhere!!!! The Trident has potential, but the poor attention to detail with the reservation request, slow service and even lack of attention to the quality of the food being plated. We were very disappointed, I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Never in my life have I received slower service. Absolutely mind blown that from the time we walked into the restaurant (NOT busy) it took us ~30m to receive a single beer at our table. Paid the check as soon as our drinks arrived and couldn’t leave soon enough. View was nice though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
