Camp West

One of the most unique themed bars I have been to! Nothing beats toasting marshmallows over an open flame at your table over some delicious cocktails. We were seated immediately on a Friday night and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Wonderful addition to the west Seattle food/bar scene 🏕️

Our group had THE BEST TIME here tonight!!!!! We had a girl’s night for 8 of us and Patrick gave us the kindest, sweetest, most attentive service! He was a delight and made our night so special! It was so cool to sit in the tent ⛺️! Before dinner, I had drinks at the bar and Ian made the most delicious custom mocktail. Thank you so much for going above and beyond!

Went to Camp West the other day and I’m so glad I did. The place has such a warm and cozy vibe — feels super inviting. We had the Camp West Burger and also tried the NY Steak, and both were honestly delicious. You can really taste the quality in everything. We also ordered a cocktail, which was spot on — refreshing and really well made. Altogether it just felt like one of those meals you’ll remember for a while. If you’re around this area, I’d definitely recommend giving Camp West a try. Great food, great drinks, and a place that makes you want to come back!

Super cute spot! I love the theme of the restaurant. The wall mural in the bathroom is so cool! The staff was really nice. It is a self ordering restaurant.. so you scan a qr code, order and pay on your phone. The food was really good. My wife had the smash burger and I got the camp burger I believe. Cocktails were great as well! Very flavorful.

Blown away by the food. Loved the quick service and the restaurant decor was something I was super impressed by. Great selection for both food and drinks. Highly recommend making a visit if you're somewhat nearby! Edited to add: I just went back for another visit and once again, amazing. I cannot get enough of this place!

Ladies and gentlemen, please make this spot your next destination. I cannot overstate just how special this place is to the community of West Seattle. I had the good fortune of spending some time here for lunch today. The bartender was so hospitable, and come to find out, she owns this little slice of heaven. Her name is, Toni. She’s the heart of this place. Listen, I’ve managed restaurants for 24 years. Hospitality is the name of the game. Great food, delicious cocktails and reasonable prices are what you find in this hidden gem. Not to mention the music is off the chain. Yes, I still use that phrase. Easy to find, right on California Ave. with ample parking. This shotgun style restaurant and bar is exactly what you’re looking for nowadays. No pretense, no fluff, just great people and delectable food. I started with a Manny’s and some outstanding chicken wings. I followed that up with old fashions and one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Toni is there when needed, but never hovers. You can see her passion and pride in everything she does here at Camp West. She keeps this place clean and organized. A quality that many restaurant owners have let fall to the wayside. Friends, lunch or dinner, make your way to Camp West in West Seattle. You will not regret it. Trust me.

The people here are amazing, they're so friendly and knowledgable and not just about the drinks and food they serve but the area itself. I've had a lot of their cocktails over my visits and each one is complex and unique. If you get a chance come in and try their Vanilla Cheesecake Brownie, It was like a little cloud of heaven.

Just back for a visit to our old neighborhood of West Seattle and stopped in at Camp West. Such a great spot in the heart of the junction. Super friendly staff and amazing cocktails! My Negroni was fantastic! Be sure to stop in while you are visiting the junction.

This was our first visit and all four of us loved our meal; Carbonara, seafood risotto, pork chop and chicken sandwich. ALL were wonderful. Our waiter was on top of it, giving us kind, helpful service. Oh! And the atmosphere was tastefully done and super clean. Come support these great folks. You’ll be glad you did.

This was the most enjoyable dining experience in the week I stayed in Seattle. They lean into the theme and it's so much fun. I got their hot chicken sandwich and a few of their take on an old fashioned, both were awesome! My SO got the Pork Chop and it was such a good portion I got to help finish it off, and that was great! It was also very affordable. Our server was amazing, and the bartenders even helped out with some of the server duties which was great. I wish I remembered our servers name, but she may remember us because I made sure to let them know that I appreciated the service and that it was the only restaurant we went to that offered me another drink. Seems like a low bar to offer to sell another cocktail but it was something I didn't get elsewhere.

Had a great experience, the food and drinks were fun and fit with the theme of camping. Staff was chill and attentive, and treated me like a friend they haven’t seen in a long time. The mushroom cassoulet was the best. So disappointed it’s only a seasonal dish, but hopefully it comes back next year.

What a cool place. Came here with a couple of girlfriends and loved the atmosphere. Really enjoyed my smashburger and tots. Very filling. Highlight was the s'mores for dessert. What a fun thing to do. One of the tables near us got the charcuterie, I think, and it came in a tackle box. Loved the whole theming of the place. The service was great and friendly. Came on a Sunday, early evening and there was no wait, but got a little busier as the night went on.

Very cool, pnw outdoorsy inspired place. Been here a couple times and the food is always good. Had the peri peri cauliflower and the seasonal pasta dish and some chicken wings. They used to have a cookie skillet that I loved but it’s gone for now.

Second time to this location, and I honestly can’t wait to come back. The food has improved since the first visit, but the customer service and overall FOH approach is a cut above the rest. Other restaurants can take note on how to treat customers in a professional, friendly, and approachable manner like those at Camp West. Also, I’m definitely in a relationship with this cauliflower!

The food was great! The Blackberry Mocktail was tart and refreshing while the peri peri cauliflower was spicy but not over powering. The cassoulet was the perfect dish for a cold winter evening. And then the s'mores was so much fun and brought me back to my childhood. The service was exceptional.

My wife and I shared a variety of things because their menu was full of interesting choices and we couldn't decide which of the many great options to pick. All of it was delicious, in particular: the green salad had an interesting smokey dressing that I desperately need to know the recipe of, and the pork chop was cooked to perfection. Camp West is an overall fun camping themed restaurant... they even have s'mores for dessert!

Food and drinks were so delicious! Kaylee was our server and was so sweet and patient and we never wanted for anything because she was ahead of us making sure we were good the entire time. Kale Caesar and Totchos were what I had! Husband had the pork tenderloin and my sister/brother in law got burgers. All really enjoyed. My sister/brother In law are regulars here but brought me and my husband here while we visited and I’d love to come back.

Good selection of drinks and chill atmosphere. Tachos were a great app. Also had the wings which had good Buffalo flavor. Service was quick when we arrived but slowed as it filled up.

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Camp West! First of all, just order the drinks! They’re all delicious and the bar staff are delightful. Then, seriously anything your order off the menu is going to be tasty, but the ravioli with added chicken thigh or the steak tips & pasta will not disappoint.

We had an awesome dinner last night. We had a large party for dinner and emailed pretty late to see if they could accommodate us and they were so responsive and accommodating. The food was great, drinks were delicious (we tried a bunch and they were all fantastic) and the atmosphere was really fun!

10/10 on the food, service, & atmosphere! Super cute place with delicious food. Highly recommend the roasted beet hummus, smash burger, & tots (crispiest tots I’ve ever had). Love when a place has a good mocktail list, too. And the owner could not have been more friendly & kind. Will definitely be back!

Late review but still haven't stopped talking about this place. My partner and I made last minute reservations for Valentines Day and had such a great experience! We sat at the bar, which I would prefer next time as well because we got to know the bartenders and they were very accommodating and friendly. One bartender (forgot their name by now sorry!) even made me a custom drink! The food was also great and we got SO much food for the amazing valentines menu; gotta get the s'mores as I'm sure you've seen in other reviews if you've read this far. Thank you Camp West for the wonderful experience! We will always recommend this place to those venturing to West Seattle :)

Tried it last night for date night and it is our new favorite California Street spot! Food was incredible. The beef bites were delicious, aspecially the sauce and mushrooms. There was definitely a presence of natural and forage foods. Don't get me started on the porkchop! There was a unique infusion of rosemary that permeated every morsel that I had never experienced before. Divine. For the first time being here, Amanda and the bartender (Todd, I think?) made us feel like family. A very down to earth, non-pretentious atmosphere that will have us coming back repeatedly.

Great food and service friendly staff nice atmosphere. We will be back.

I took my friend here for her birthday and we both loved it. Food was great, drinks were good, and love the camping vibe. Our server (I’m almost certain their name was Christian) was an absolute joy. I recommend ordering s'mores for dessert. Will definitely be back!

Hands down one of our favorite spots in WS! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the friendly and hardworking energy of Toni—she’s always got a smile on her face and never fails to make us laugh. Eric is another gem; he remembers our names, our drinks, and checks in to see if we’re having our usuals—such a thoughtful touch that keeps us coming back. The food? Impeccable. The seasonal menu always brings fresh and exciting options. I’m obsessed with the pork tenderloin and spinach salad, and my husband can’t get enough of the smash burger and wings. And don’t even get me started on the fries—they’re absolutely fire. Whether you're in the mood for a delicious cocktail or a satisfying meal, this place hits every time. Can’t recommend it enough. If you’re in the WS area, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won’t regret it!

I had a fantastic experience at Camp West recently and felt compelled to share. The atmosphere is the perfect blend of cozy and elevated—exactly what you want for a West Seattle night out. ​The highlight of the meal was definitely the Steak Delmonico Bites. They were incredibly tender, seasoned perfectly, and packed with flavor. To top it off, I paired them with a glass of Pinot Noir from Browne Family Vineyards. The wine was smooth and elegant, complementing the richness of the steak beautifully. ​If you're looking for a spot with great vibes and even better food and wine, this is it. I’ll definitely be back for more!

The lumberjack burger is stated to be "3x ground beef smashed patties;" however I don't believe they are 100% ground beef, but a mixture of pork and beef. I've been eating burgers for over 40 years, it didn't taste like beef. Other than that the place is fine. Funny that this is the second place in WS that advertises a smash burger, but doesn't serve an actual smash burger (Easy Street). However ES served me an "real" beef burger (or as real as a Sysco burger patty can be) and not a meatloaf concoction.

Camp West is okay. We had burgers and they were pretty mediocre. The fries were good, but the $4 extra for Parmesan truffle fries isn’t worth it. I couldn’t taste the truffle and the Parmesan was the kraft quality Parmesan. A draft beer is $10…. Just not worth it for the price in my opinion. Friendly servers and fun environment.

came here with my partner a few weeks ago the menu had a lot of great options as I am gluten intolerant. The staff was so kind. And accommodating.

Attracted by the great burger reviews and cute scouting concept, I stopped at the bar early afternoon. The atmosphere is very cozy perfect for a rainy cold day. Service at the bar was attentive though I couldn’t really understand clearly anything the bartender said. I wasn’t sure if it was music speaker behind me or he just swallowed his words. Anyway, the burger was a disappointment. Good seasoning but cooked to death. Fries were good and crunchy while they were hot. Sides are confusing on the menu. Despite what you read there is only 1 side and the salad I ordered was full size and ok. Kale Caesar was tasty but a lot of stems.

Well. My wife finally got to check out Camp West. Atmosphere You walk in and you kind of feel like you are at a camp-themed Disney park. It's cool and they have some nice touches like the old school thermos for water. It was nice and clean. A little too dark. I could barely see my wife across the table. Service Our server was very nice and helpful. Food First it took about 40 min to get our food. My wife ordered from the Seattle Restaurant week menu. She had a three course meal, drink, salad, and main $35.00. Her gin and tonic was ok, but small. Three sips and your done kind of drink and not strong at all. I make these drinks all the time. She had a spinach salad that was small and basic. It was a very sad salad. Barely any feta cheese. It had a maple syrup dressing that was weird. For her main she had the mushroom cassoulet. The mushrooms were not cooked. You could eat it but it wasn't above average. I order the steak with garlic fries for $27.00. I make a lot of steaks and on campfire. The steak looked ok but half of it was fat and grissel. Have of my plate I spit it out. It was mostly fat. I had a feeling that not many people order the steak. So they probably pulled it of the freezer, defrosted it and cooked it. Overall it has a nice vibe and the service is great, but the food was not worth what we paid.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Unprofessional Management Overshadows Everything Else We’ve been to Camp West twice now, and unfortunately, both visits were disappointing for different reasons. On our first visit, we waited over 45 minutes for our orders, only to be served two completely raw burgers that were inedible. We decided to give it another shot, hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, it was the behavior of the manager that ruined it this time around. While the food and service itself were not terrible (our bartender, waitress, and bar back were all fantastic—friendly, prompt, and doing their best), the manager’s treatment of her staff was hard to ignore. We overheard her scolding an employee as soon as we walked in, and shortly after, she was rude to the bartender in front of customers. It was clear that the staff was uncomfortable, and the manager’s bad attitude created a toxic atmosphere that affected the whole vibe of the place. It’s one thing for food and service to be lacking, but when the work environment is nothing but bad vibes, it really makes you question whether you want to return. It’s heartbreaking to see employees trying their best in such a negative environment, and honestly, they deserve better. We won’t be coming back. If you're thinking of trying it out, just be aware that the manager’s behavior could really overshadow your experience. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, especially in the workplace. I hope the staff finds a better place to work soon. I do hope, this review brings some change and professionalism to this establishment. If you need to chat with your employees, please for the love of food & hospitality do it privately.

I love this place for atmosphere and alcohol. Great people. Decent HH junk food. The dinner food is so mediocre it makes it hard to go back. I have had two meals there now, and I left both saying I wish I hadn’t wasted my money. Bland, burnt, boring. Last night I got bland ravioli (the addition of a handful of toasted pine nuts and raisins would have made this pop) and very burnt garlic bread. Still pissed I wasted my money. Oh well…
