It was great. We happened to be there in poster night "Thursday". The oysters were incredible salt and plump not what you would expect for a buck a shuck. The food from the brushless appetizer to dessert were delicious.

Sally at the bar was amazing but the whole stuff exceed my expectations. I have not one complaint. 10/10 and all this food for $17 that’s hard to come by

We love this restaurant! We brought our grown sons there for dinner last night and the service was excellent, the drinks were perfect and the food quality and portions were wonderful. Shout out to Deandre and GM Joshua for making us feel special.

I had a wonderful dining experience and partaking in an adult beverage at Cypress. I sat at the large bar inside and the bartender was really on her game. The food was prepared to perfection and the presentation of the meal was awesome. Great atmosphere inside and plenty of seating for parties of all sizes. The staff were very helpful and attentative...kudos. I will be visiting again and recommend you give them a try!!

CYPRESS How did I not know about this new restaurant? Upscale -not a sports bar! Where Sullivan’s Cove use to be. Hubs had the oysters on the half shell and the pork chop dinner. I had the Trident broiler. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Sally our server was amazing and very friendly. Great place without having to go to Annapolis. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back to try the fig goat cheese flatbread and the shrimp and grits!

I took my boyfriend to Cypress for his birthday, and wow—what a gem! It was our first time dining here, but definitely won’t be our last. We started with the fig and goat cheese arugula salad—so fresh and flavorful. For entrées, he had the 6-hour braised short ribs with garlic & gruyere mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and crispy onion straws. I had the bourbon-glazed pork chop with garlic & gruyere whipped potatoes and charred broccolini. Both dishes were generously portioned and absolutely delicious—comfort food taken to the next level. We sat at the bar and were lucky to have Chelsea and Marley taking care of us. Their energy and warmth made the experience even better—you can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. The GM, Josh, was also delightful and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. We also glanced over the happy hour menu—tons of tempting options that look like a winning lineup of cheap eats. Cypress is a breath of fresh air in Severna Park. Great food, great vibes, and great value. Highly recommend—you won’t be disappointed!

I had no direction on where to eat, we drove passed Cypress Restaurant Bar and Grill. I just left Cypress moments ago and let me tell you. Go try this place out you won't regret it. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even in the final hours. I had the water and I live for great tasting water. I had white Sangria it was delicious the flavors were amazing and blended very well together. My food was delicious and the crab dip was great, this place is amazing.

We loved cypress! Came here on a Saturday with no reservation and was sat right away with the bartender who was still attentive during a busy dinner rush. Must try crab dip!!

My husband and I went there for the first time to grab a quick lunch. Service was awesome, everyone was really nice and attentive. We had Brussel sprouts for our appetizer and the Mahi Mahi tacos for our main meal. I Wasn't the biggest fan of the tacos, but the Brussel sprouts were amazing. overall everything was good and we will probably go back.

Restaurant Review: Cypress Dining at Cypress was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and vibrant, setting the perfect tone for an exceptional meal. The decor was tasteful, creating a relaxing yet upscale vibe that made me feel instantly at ease. The food was nothing short of phenomenal—every dish was crafted to perfection. The flavors were rich and fresh, clearly showcasing the chef’s dedication to quality and creativity. Each bite was a testament to the artistry that goes into their menu. What truly elevated the evening, however, was the service. Our server, Christine, was nothing less than extraordinary. Her charisma and warmth made us feel genuinely cared for, and her knowledge of the menu was impressive. She provided excellent recommendations that turned out to be absolute winners. Christine’s attentiveness and impeccable timing ensured that we never wanted for anything, and her cheerful energy added a special spark to the evening. Cypress isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself to a great night out, this place delivers on every level. Thanks to Christine and the incredible team, I can confidently say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to return!

12/5 evening…Great experience. Sally the Bartender was very professional and welcoming. Menu was creative and fairly priced. Staff was Gracious when we asked about adjustments to a menu & cocktail options. Fabulous wine list with unique offerings. First visit and definitely not our last!

5 star wonderful! Sally or server was great explain the menu and took care of us. The crab corn chowder is to die for! I know you might not believe this, but better than most crab soups, cream of crabs that I've ever had. The skirt steak was marvelous, and the menu was more than your standard fair. And we will be back over and over again! It should be called five star Cyprus!

Fifth time here. Another great experience at Cypress. Stopped in for dinner. Ordered the Chefs Catch, flounder. Delicious!!! Oyster selection is fantastic. Super fresh. Our server, D, was great. Best place in SP. Will be back!

Our server, Christina was phenomenal! Food was great- appetizers we enjoyed were the Cyprus shrimp, crab dip (4/5 stars), and fried green tomatoes. We ordered the chicken/prosciutto/Brie sandwich, pork, ribeye, burger and caprese flatbread for entrees, and then for dessert we got one of each, and the bread pudding was hands down the table favorite. Atmosphere is clean, modern and inviting. Highly recommend!

My family has been to Cypress a few times for dinner and we've always had a good experience. The service is good and the food is tasty. We've been there on Mondays when kids eat free, and on a Friday or Saturday when they had live entertainment. I always enjoy dinner at Cypress.

Christine was our server. Not only was she friendly and personable, but also attentive and quick. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Citrus Salmon salad and will definitely be back for more. Couldn't say more positive things about this place. Definitely check it out!

I write very few 5 star reviews, but Cypress deserves it. Our server Christine, was probably one of the best servers we have had the pleasure of encountering. She was friendly, nice, very knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant, and overall a delight. This was our first time dining at Cypress and I wish we had found it earlier. My wife and I started with a dozen oysters on the half shell. We got four of three varieties. They were served on a large tray full of ice with cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemons, and mignonette. The oysters were cold and fresh and we could have easily eaten another dozen. For our entrees, I had the pork chop and my wife and the scallops with lemon risotto. She said the risotto was excellent, but the scallops could have used bit more time in the pan. My pork chop was cooked perfectly and it came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. We also each had the Arcadian salad. For dessert, my wife had the lava cake and I had the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Absolutely fantastic. The other couple we went with also enjoyed their experience. She had the pork chop and he had the ribeye steak. Christine told us they are transitioning from their spring/summer menu to their fall/winter menu. Looking forward to seeing what's in store, although I may not be able to wait that long. The drinks were also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant. They accept reservations as well.

My husband and I have been to Cypress twice and both times the food was amazing! Best food in the central Anne Arundel County area, by far. Christine was our server both times and she was great! Super friendly, knowledgable about the menu and always kept our drinks filled (this is one of our big “service” peeves)! We are already making plans to go back and bring our parents. Highly recommend!

My friend and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time & they did not disappoint. Such a fun and cute atmosphere. Our waitress was Christine and I asked what she recommended on the menu, in turn I ordered each of her suggestions & food was delicious! Will definitely be coming back , overall a fun and welcoming environment!

Love this place! My friend and I went to grab some dinner here last night and it was delicious! I had the chef special seafood dish with the risotto and broccoli and my friend had the burger. I come here often and enjoy introducing people to this place. We had a great server tonight, Daniel was on top of my friends special burger order. Such a nice relaxed atmosphere, very nice after a long day at work!

My mom and I stopped in for Sunday Brunch (our first time eating here). Made a 12p reservation but didn’t need it. Food was great and affordable. We ordered Mojito Mocktails, the Chicken & Waffles and the Big Breakfast. The restaurant was decorated beautifully. Bathrooms were clean. Our server Sawyer was super attentive. Definitely recommend!

Sat at the bar Saturday night and had a great experience with the 2 bartenders working. Food was amazing and service was exceptional. I will be back in the future and hope the same 2 guys are working again behind the bar.

Fantastic experience! My new go to spot in Severna Park. I have gone several times and it’s always fantastic. The pork chop and the burger (can’t even describe how good the bacon is) have both been crowd pleasers. The wine list had some great options and the fizzy love cocktail was a fan favorite. Our server John made the night extra fun with his great energy and attentiveness. We will keep going back!

Stopped in with a friend for a drink and catch-up time. The bartender was polite and efficient and actually added a glass of water with our beers without our asking. Both of us having tended bars in our younger days appreciated that this gentleman ran a tight ship. Intrigued by his “smoke” addition to some mixed drinks , we had to try that touch with a round of Old Fashions. Also excellent. Previous visits were very nice e with polite servers and good food. A grand addition to local dining.

Stopped by here at 6PM on a Thursday evening as we heard they had $1 oysters and $8 rail martinis ($2 extra to upgrade to Tito's) on this evening. Strip mall location but the restaurant is open layout and looks modern and renovated. Large comfortable booths. It was also probably less than 25% full this evening and yet they were so short on staff our server at our table was the bartender....so service was slow and a little haphazard (not his fault at all - he was a nice friendly guy, but he had a whole bar of customers AND making all the drinks for the whole restaurant to attend to!!). They also had some fun seasonal cocktail specials. The oysters took about 30 minutes but when they came out they were expertly shucked and large size and tasted great. We ordered another 6 after those and they were fine but about half the size of the original. Oysters came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, and a red vinegar (seemed like) sauce. Drinks were OK, no issues. Steak sandwich with fries was $20 and was OK, as was the steak salad for $20. The Chef Special was a crab cake stuffed salmon for $30. While this entree tasted great and was well cooked, there was nothing "stuffed" about it and it was a minimal portion of actual crab cake as it looked like they just cut a normal crab cake in half, covered with cheese, and set it on top of a standard size salmon filet....didn't feel like a $30 chef special. Anyhow, the oysters were good and a great value and if they hire more staff could make for a good reason to attend their various specials....but at $20-$30 regular price entrees and no views or water, I suspect this is mainly useful for locals looking for a quick bite.

Very smokey....a little over whelming to your senses. Food is yummy. Creative menu but the chill open space atmosphere allows for loud to carry.

We stopped by for happy hour. Nothing special about the place. Charcuterie was thrown together well but wings were small and mediocre. Not a hotspot for HH and others may feel the same cuz very few people there until well into the dinner hour.

Four of us returned to the restaurant to take advantage of the dollar oyster night advertised in the local paper. There was no such ad on line and the menu on line did not correspond well with the one in the restaurant. My dining partners enjoyed their oysters, followed by delicious entrees. I had the shrimp and grits for the third time, my favorite meal there- quite excellent.

I ate at Cypress restaurant for the first time last nite. New decor here (I recall when this place was a different restaurant) is much nicer than the previous establishment, we all liked it. We were a group of 4. Our reservations were for 6:45, we arrived on time and were seated promptly. Our dinner didn’t arrive until just before 8pm. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Our drinks were served pretty promptly. Appetizers were a little slow to arrive but not too bad. But actual dinner took forever. The server did tell us (apologetically) that the kitchen was running behind ( and we overheard another server say the same to another table near us). Food overall was pretty good, good serving sizes, decent menu options. We appreciated they have clearly identified gluten free options (we could eat here again with family members who have food allergies). But the kitchen definitely couldn’t keep up. They were decently busy but definitely not packed. Our server also told us that their kitchen always runs behind on Fridays and Saturdays… So whoever is the GM - I hope you see this review and fix that.

This was my fourth visit to this restaurant, and for the fourth time, the charcuterie board was unavailable. I was told it is likely being removed from the menu altogether. The restaurant was not busy during my most recent visit, so service flowed smoothly and was attentive without being overbearing. Unfortunately, the food itself did not quite measure up. The fried green tomatoes, which I had enjoyed on previous occasions, tasted noticeably different this time and lacked the same appeal. The tuna tartare was unexpectedly bland, as was the salmon. The asparagus arrived slightly overcooked, though the mashed potatoes were excellent—creamy, well-seasoned, and the standout of the meal. The ribs, while flavorful at their core, were oily and unbalanced until wiped down, which detracted from the overall experience. On a positive note, the wine I ordered was delightful. Overall, while the service remains solid and there are a few menu items that shine, the inconsistency in preparation and the removal of key dishes like the charcuterie board have made each return visit less rewarding. I hope to see the kitchen refocus on consistency and flavor so the dining experience can match the quality of the atmosphere,

While our waiter was nice and attentive (thanks Evan!), the food was less than satisfying despite the servings being large and presented well. While we ordered the Steak & Eggs and the Breakfast Skillet there was a lot left to be desired. The Steak & Eggs supposedly comes with hollandaise for the asparagus (barely more than a spoonful) and both the hash browns as well as barely toasted bread were underdone. The dish lacked any discernable flavor, even the hollandaise. The Breakfast Skillet was well presented, but the chorizo I was hoping for was apparently left unseasoned. My hashbrowns were both unseasoned and undercooked to the point of being crunchy like frozen hashbrowns.

Bad experience. The waiter completely messed up our order and then lied. Two people in our party had entree salads, one with chicken one with shrimp. They both came out without the chicken or shrimp.

I really wanted to like this place, but we don't always get what we want. So, first of all the ambiance is very nice and our server was pleasant although he did mess up my friend's drink order. No big deal however the low rating comes for the actual food. I ordered the chicken and waffles and when I tell you there was nooooo seasoning or flavor on the chicken, I was very disappointed and with just salt and pepper on the table, I did not want to drench my chicken with salt. Also, the waffle was cooked hard and overall it just was not a great meal. Not a fan of this dish at all.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday with my husband. I had lunch here previously with my daughter and although found it mediocre at that time, figured I’d try again since my husband hadn’t been there. The best part of lunch was the friendly attentive service from our waiter. I had the totally tasteless shrimp salad wrap. Shrimp were good sized but had ZERO seasoning on them. We’re in MD people, learn how to make seafood for goodness sake. My husband had Southwest Salad with chicken. He said the chicken was tough and dry. Rest of the salad was okay. His spicy mango margarita was good but $15.00 was too much for a drink that size. My grapefruit crush was (expectantly) not fresh juice and very so-so. Again $10.00 was about $2.00 too high. I left again thinking it was a very mediocre lunch. My husband said for him it was 2 visits - his first and his last! Hate to see a business fail, but my guess is Cypress won’t be in the Park for long.

We had fun until everyone in the kitchen was overheard talking about us. We spent the last part of girl's night complimenting the food only to be 100% caught off guard by them talking trash in the back. The guy, Josh, was talking us up, friendly, and then we had to overhear him complain in the kitchen about "telling him our whole life story.” They were loud, and it was extremely uncomfortable. Best part, once they realized it nobody showed up or acknowledged us. Then the server closed us out and had airpods in and pretended we didn't exist. What a bunch of unprofessional cowards, I will never go back or recommend this place to friends. What a shame, and lessoned learned for the staff.

So I want to say this first. Normally the food and service has been amazing. Tonight not so much. I ordered two orders of the pan seared salmon and a burger for myself. The salmon was cooked hard, the risotto was cold and under flavor. The sauce for the salmon was sweet which it never has been before. My burger was supposed to be medium and first bite was well done. I am not sure if it was the kitchen they had new folks or that the bar tender was new and just didn't grab my food quick enough but it was definitely disappointing tonight.

We went for brunch on Oct 12, party of 6. The service was beyond slow. Over an hour to get our food, drink refills that were non existent, cold food and foul water. It was so bad that I called the manager the following day. Manager tells me that yes, the water tasted bad because there is an issue with ice machine. Claimed they were understaffed due to a recent local advertisement. The manager said, "All I can do is say sorry." Just don't go, food cold, water foul and service slow and terrible. "Sorry" doesn't give me back my money, time , or appetite.

J
Joan Kurtz

6 of us, only 1 other group in the restaurant at 6 pm. The waiter took 15 minutes to tell us what he liked on the entire menu. Took another 1hour and 15 minutes to get our meals. ( one order was totally wrong, the other 3 specials were lukewarm with cold broccolini). The lemon caper sauce had no capers although I’m sure if it was hot it would be tasty ). Remember we were the only customers. Ask for a side of Dijon and extra sauce. Dijon never came, sauce came an hour later as I was packing my left overs. . The coffee and free cake took 25 minutes to get. It became a joke. One other party of 5 came in and they were also waiting forever. To bad. The place looks great. Menu was appealing and food was good.
