The food was outstanding. Everything is served family style and there's an excellent variety to choose from. It was so good that there was no time for photos lol. The atmosphere was great. Lots of memorable everywhere and lots to look at. Our server, Joey, gave us a scavenger search to do while we waited for our dinner. We came in with a party of 12 which he handled very graciously. The service was excellent and we couldn't have asked for a more attentive server. If you're looking for something better than your average Italian food, you should check them out.
Delish and generous lunch portion. The garlic bread didn’t have much garlic. The complimentary bread was freshly baked and goes well with their dipping sauce.
Joey was our server for our Galentine’s party of 13 ladies and he was amazing. Impressed with his service and yes…! He split the check for us individually. The manager accommodated us in a separate dining room and took our group photo. Highly recommend for a big group.
Fantastic place! Accommodating for large parties and made us feel at home. The food is perfect and the service is wonderful. Joey did a great job constantly checking on us, keeping drinks full, and remembering our names for our entire group that wanted separate tabs. The chef even came out after we got some bites in and made sure we were enjoying the food. The entire place is such a homey feel and it’s such a cool experience. Looking forward to eating at the Pope table next time! Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. About eight of us joined together too. Enjoy a great meal together and be able to talk. The place was not loud. The food was fantastic. It’s family style meaning whatever you order needs about three people so it’s meant to share. they had great choices, including even for those who were vegetarian. We definitely will go again.
My husband and I had a stellar Valentine’s Day lunch at Buca di Beppo, thanks to Joey! He was personable, attentive, and did a great job explaining the holiday specials without making us feel rushed. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, antipasti salad, and eggplant parmigiana. Everything was yum and perfectly timed from the kitchen. The portions were generous (shareable), and we left with take-home boxes packed for dinner tonight, which made it an even better value. Great food, great service, and a decorative atmosphere! As I write this review, I’m here on my second visit this week. This is an A-Z Restaurant, meaning that it has it all. Great tasting food, family friendly, cleanliness, enormous serving portions for a great price. Joey attended to us on our first visit and remembered us on our second visit. He was very attentive, fun, but most importantly he treated us like family. I’m definitely recommending this place to anyone looking for a some great Italian food.
I loved our server Joey! We always have the best time when he’s our server! He’s sweet in his own way, a little sassy (in the best way), and keeps us laughing the entire meal. He makes the whole experience fun and memorable every time. The Shrimp Diavolo was so delicious too!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The manager Christopher was professional, attentive, and clearly takes pride in running a smooth operation. Christopher checked in to make sure everything was going well and handled the team with respect and leadership. The employees (Trevor and Jake) were equally impressive—friendly, welcoming, and efficient from start to finish. Everyone worked together seamlessly, and their positive attitudes truly enhanced the dining experience. The service was prompt, accurate, and delivered with genuine care.
Sunday, 12-14-25 My wife, daughter, and I visited Buca in The Woodlands, Texas. and Mary, the manager was very. sweet to us. Our server, Zack in the bar area was very nice & helpful as well. Last, but not least the other manager, Chesh went above and beyond as he helped us celebrate my daughter‘s 21st birthday, that was the month before but she is a college student out of the state so we couldn’t celebrate with her last month but thanks to Chesh, we were able to celebrate. We started going to Buca when we met Joey our server there back in November and he’s exceptional as well. It is managers and worker’s like this that will continue to have my family and I come to visit Buca in the Woodlands. Please see the picture of our daughter which was Priceless, thanks to the workers at Buca🙏✝️
Ok, I'm not sure why I haven't been before, but this place is freaking cool. Went on a dead Monday school night. We didn't wait long for our food. Our waiter Zach was so nice and did a great job taking care of us. The staff saw us walking up and held the door open for us and greeted us! That was really nice. I loved the maximalist decor. Very interesting place. The restaurant was clean, tables were very clean. Very cozy lighting and mood. I like the family style dining where you share your meal. Because of that, even with 2 big eaters (3 people total), we STILL had leftovers. No complaints about the food. I liked the oil for the bread. It's an interesting way to eat it. My kid loved it. I feel like for the price, we definitely got our moneys worth. I already have plans to come back, and have already been suggesting others to come and check it out. Please consider Buca di Beppo for your next night out. It's so cute and everyone was so nice. Hard to find places like that anymore.
I stopped into the Shenandoah location yesterday evening for a solo dinner and was blown away by the hospitality. Since Buca is usually known for large family-style portions, I really appreciated that they were flexible enough to let me order the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni from the lunch menu, even though it was past the cut-off time. It was the perfect size for one person and the food was excellent—fresh, hot, and exactly what I was looking for. What really set this visit apart, however, was the service. Armando, my server, was attentive, and the Chef actually took the time to come out to the table to check on my meal. That level of care is rare these days. To top it off, the Chef personally boxed up my leftovers and added a loaf of fresh bread to the bag before I left. It was such a great, homey touch that made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another ticket. I highly recommend this spot for the food, but even more so for the incredible team running it.
The atmosphere, family like environment. Diana and Mia were so friendly and provided outstanding service. They were familiar with the menu. We bought the spicy sausage pasta meal which is a new item on the menu. My husband and I split the meal and still had some left over. We ordered spaghetti and pizza for the kids and the sauce was 🔥 the best! Chefs kiss! We will definitely come back. Its so beautiful and the food was the perfect temperature.
We had a great time hosting my grandfather's 90th birthday here with all of our family. They have lots of dining rooms for different seating options such as tables, booths, and private family dining rooms. The food quality was delicious and portion sizes were large, which is perfect for family style dining. The decore was very interesting throughout the restaurant with portraits and paintings and framed magazines of Popes, along with some head statues. There was not an inch of uncovered space, which shows how this restaurant has been established at the location. It was a great experience with great service to the point of return.
Absolutely the Best Dining Experience! We came in about 40 minutes before closing, not realizing how late it was, but the staff welcomed us so warmly you’d think we had arrived right at opening. The service was truly impeccable. Every person we encountered was kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home. I have a severe food allergy, and I was a little nervous at first, but the manager came over personally and explained everything with such calmness and care. It made my experience 100 times better. I felt completely safe and at ease. The restaurant was spotless, beautifully kept, and had such a great atmosphere. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every bite was flavorful and fresh. It felt good to eat here in every way. We lost track of time because we were enjoying ourselves so much. This place is a gem, and we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Buca di Beppo is by far my favorite Italian in the greater Houston area. Everything I have ordered so far has been amazing and with family size portions, left overs are not bad at all. Staff has always been amazing, good personalities, smiles, friendly and personable. Price is on par with the portion size and quality of the food. As others have stated, there is an old building smell to the place. Not exactly overwhelming, but not exactly pleasant. I personally think it adds to the decor. Parking is no problem.
Great food, great price and best of all, great waiter, Joey. There were 12 of us and he was excellent!

I have had my birthday dinner here the past two years and have had Edson (eddie) as my server, he is an incredible server, the food was great and will definitely be coming back!

I really liked the service. The entrance to the restaurant is through the kitchen, which is quite interesting. The food was good, though not really at the level of authentic Italian cuisine. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell, as it felt a bit damp inside. On the other hand, the decoration was interesting. I would definitely go back. The waiter was wonderful — very kind and attentive, probably the best part of the experience.

Thanksgiving Italian. Service was great. Food was mediocre at best. Way, way overpriced. Thankful they were open, but absolutely regretted the choice.

Recently my family visited Buca di Beppo. Let’s start with outside: when we parked there was no one really in the parking lot. That should have been a sign 🤣 us and 2 other cars. Walking into the building was weird. There were little white sacks in the corners of their walk way (outside of course).. Maybe insect eggs of some sort in various places…that was gross. They also had fake flowers as decor and it looked pretty tacky and cheap. But my husband and daughter wanted to try it so I did. Experience: We went in and the service was really great. We were seated instantly. And our waiter was super nice. It was our first time so he explained the family style and gave us time to look at the menu. The decor was ok. Kind of drab. But i really liked looking at all of the different pictures and stuff on the wall. It was clean on the inside so I was certainly happy about that. The place is huge. Someone could really celebrate a birthday or have a party there. Food: We ended up ordering the chicken Alfredo. When he brought the food, we were pleased with the serving size. It was enough to feed all three of us. I didn’t really care for it but my daughter and my hubs said it was good. It did have flavor to it. The Alfredo sauce taste like it was freshly made. The chicken was tender and it wasn’t dry. We wanted to order dessert but it was sold family style too and we werent up for spending 20 more bucks just for dessert so we didn’t order it. We had enough pasta to take some home too. Added a video. It did have sauce on it and it was enough sauce but for some reason that really doesn’t show on the video. Overall I wasn’t impressed but it was ok.
Overall average experience. The place was fairly empty but the service was spotty. Drinks went empty and waited awhile for check, rcpt, etc. The house bread was ok and the house salad was good. The portions are very large but the spaghetti marinara lacked flavor even after adding salt and pepper flakes. The pizza dough and pepperoni were good but the sauce had too much spice or something so just had a weird tangy taste and I wasn't a fan.
Food: The food was expensive, and the excuse by the establishment was that the restaurant was "family style" and served big portions, but as can be seen from the pictures I took, that is not true. Our meal, which was just an appetizer and a slice of cake, cost over $52. The calamari was sliced thin and was even worse than rubber, and the cake was both cold and dense. The only good thing was the complimentary scoop of vanilla bean ice cream that my wife got because it was her birthday, and it was very creamy and sweet. Service: When we arrived, three separate people passed by us and said someone would help us soon. We had a reservation for 8:30pm and despite being at least 5 minutes early, we did not get to sit down until 8:40pm. When we did get our seats and our waters, my wife complained of an oily taste when she squeezed the lemon into her water. Also, the server forgot to bring us an extra piece of bread that he said he was going to bring us. Atmosphere: The best part of the restaurant was the atmosphere. All around the establishment are photos of Italian cultural figures like artists, actors, and musicians, as well as fun facts about Italy. The tables are very old-school with checked tablecloths and candles for ambience. It really feels like the place could be good for a romantic date night, but the rest of our experience was a letdown.
Good food. Bad service. Waiter not attentive like we expected. Too rushed Did not offer coffee or dessert. Ambiance good. Not sure we'll return

I will preface this that we were a large group of 13 people but that in no way makes up for the lack of service or quality of food OK. The pastas and chicken parmesan greatly suffered from the lack of sauce. I have never had that issue at any Italian restaurant ever. We had to constantly ask for drink refills and one in our party ordered a drink from the bar and didn't get it until we were almost done with the meal. The waiter even said it was probably ready but she just hadn't been to the bar to check. This was overall a severe lack of service. I would say that it would help if the restaurant would have additional servers for larger groups to ensure there is not a lack of service. I expect I or we as a family will not be back anytime soon.

We used to love this place. But it has gone down hill. If I could give it 0 I would. We went the day after Christmas to celebrate our anniversary. We were given gift cards they were for Brio, Bertucci, Buca di Beppo something else, well we were informed that they don't honor gift cards. Our bill was over $100 for only 2 people, small rigatoni and chicken and mozzarella sticks and one drink the food was subpar and we had $100 gift card. I'm sorry just because they are in bankruptcy doesn't mean they can deny gift cards. They already received the money. We will not be back.
I’m not sure what’s happened to this place because the pasta used to be stellar, and now it tastes like a microwave lean cuisine pasta dish. Please see pictures of how the spicy rigatoni used to look (first picture) vs. what I ordered and received today (with no chicken). The quality of the pasta has greatly diminished and is not worth the price.
