If you need to get your gluten free fix in the area the SeventyOne has some excellent options. Everything we had here was delicious and the staff was super kind. The lobster pot pie was other worldly.
Wow! 71 has upped their game. We went there a week ago as they were open late. We sat at the bar to order some drinks and decided to look at the menu. The bartender recommended a few items, and we decided to go for the prime rib and ginger chicken salad. Both were excellent. We went back a week later and ordered the same. Excellent again although the cut of prime rib was a little smaller compared to the 1st visit. We also ordered the salad with dressing on the side which we thought was better. Anyhow, 71 surprised us - in a nice way. Service was great at the bar. Good selection of beer and wine. Give it another try if you haven't been recently.
Stopped in after a walk in nature with colleagues. The staff were friendly and the food was good! There is something here for everyone. The Ahi Poke appetizer was amazing! We tried a bit of everything and everyone was happy. Margherita pizza, Jägerschnitzel, Lobster Pot Pie, and Cedar Plank Salmon, something for everyone! We even had a Chocolate Fondue for desert. I have already suggested this restaurant to others and will return!
So tasty and sophisticated! My compliments to chefs and all our team and happy with amazing food they serf fast. It’s decorated so nicely that I felt special and very nicely treated. Every dish we ordered was delicious and portions we big enough to share. But we were so hungry and it was so tasty that we didn’t want to share at all. Kidding. Will be back for sure! Very nice staff and food.
Stopped by for some snacks after the Oktoberfest celebration. We were seated immediately. The servers brought us a few rounds fairly quickly and the food was really good. I definitely think it's better than regular bar food. We got the ahi tuna nachos and the soft pretzel. We also had the wings, but I don't think I had any. The dishes that I did try were really good, I especially enjoyed the tuna nachos.
Update ...... had two more great lunches at SeventyOne this trip, love this place! Dined here all three nights during our stay at Snowbird. There isn't much to choose from restaurant wise at Snowbird but this place is really nice. They did a great job of giving it a modern 70's look. The service was outstanding all three times and food was excellent as well!
Had the best time coming here during our staycation up at snowbird! We made the reservation ahead of time and I would highly recommend doing that because this is a popular spot up there. Loved the energy, retro design, and (of course) the food. We had the warm spinach & artichoke dip appetizer (highly recommended), bbq chicken flatbread and margarita flatbread (both delicious), and classic mac n cheese (sooo good). Others in my party got baked french onion soup (both loved it), and house salad (wasn’t impressed. pretty basic). The dessert we tried were the warm apple betty, warm chocolate brownie, and the new york cheesecake. we loved it all and would definitely come back again!
We ca e to S iwbaird in Sniwbird. What a mindblowing pla e. Iver 800 in hes of snow. Location is amazing biew. We started with the Fried Korean BBQ Caukiflower.. Amazing that we ordered a 2nd after our meal. Daughter had Shroome Burger. She lved it. Wife and myself had the baseball steak with mashed potatoes and Brocollini. Mine was medium tare perfect and wife's was medium well perfect. Staff super nice. Kudos to the chef we are eating here again. We'll worth the price.
We had the best waitress, I have a lot of food allergies and she was so great about it. We went for my friends birthday. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is just as good! I posted a picture of the bathrooms and the table. It’s all decked out in 1971.
So good!!! The wait staff were friendly and the food was delicious!!!!! I would definitely recommend going for some of those soft pretzels, they come with this white cheddar cheese dip that is so good, I was dipping other things in it for the rest of the meal! And the burger that my dad got was also very tasty, I definitely enjoyed, and would order some chicken noodle soup again, but it just couldn't compare to the true star of the meal the Korean fried cauliflower, such a hit with everyone!
Came for the weekend breakfast buffet. The food was good and the staff was friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed, even though they were busy due to Oktoberfest..
Wanted an early dinner after playing in the snow. Was not disappointed! Hot French onion soup and margarita flatbread. Both cooked to perfection but I was blow away by the flatbread. A perfect combination of savory richness with a light sweet balsamic drizzle to tone it down. Super fresh greens. Which leads to the mojito I had loaded with fresh mint and mixed just right. Great desert options. I chose the Brown Betty bc I’ve never had one. I will definitely get it again!! Don’t forget the amazing view, it makes everything taste better.
Go there! You will not be disappointed! Lovely service and food and beverages with spectacular views and affordable pricing! Go there!
Jamie took care of us tonight. Oh, baby! We had the time of our lives!!! Ahi nachos are a must order! We’ll be back!!!
This restaurant is located at Snowbird, if you plan on staying at the resort the whole time, this is a good stop for American food, but be prepared to pay resort food prices! The pizza, however was relatively inexpensive compared to the rest of the menu, but still very delicious!
I ordered Sweet Potato Bowl. I loved that 😍 View amazing, service was great. My server Chenelle was awesome 🤩 I’m coming back soon for dessert ❤️
Such an amazing delightful surprise. Was a little leery after seeing 3.5 stars overall, but was quickly swayed. The favorite was the ahi nachos. These are a must if you like ahi. Outdoor service with a great view of the mountains at sunset. The Mac and cheese was perfect and the burger was layered with goodness. The steak fries were great as well. Topped it off with a brownie that could have been its own entree. Such a great pleasant discovery. We will be back for sure.
Was an absolute world class experience! The food was strangely affordable considering the quality and what we ate. Service was casual, but prompt and kind. There was no pressure to be fancy, or pretentious. It just felt natural and effortless in being top notch in service, food, and atmosphere. It's a beautiful 70's industrial blend and it's absolutely comfortable! Food was absolutely delicious!
We've come here twice now and both times have been awesome! The waiters we've had were super nice and went above and beyond for us. The food is pretty good but where this restaurant really shines is its great dessert menu. I usually don't get dessert at restaurants, but the menu was so diverse and had so many tasty-looking options that we could not resist! I've also got to mention the music and atmosphere of the place. It is great! It's all classic rock and the restaurant looks like its straight out of 1971, but still classy. I recommend this place, especially for dessert. Not sure why there are a good amount of negative reviews on here.
We had a great meal, great service and loved the environment! An all around wonderful evening! Our server was Brooke and she had great recommendations and was super friendly.
There was a group of 8 of us for lunch. We all ordered something different and all loved the food we got. I got the salmon sandwich and side salad. It was so good. It came with lots of salmon on it too. It all looked and tasted higher end. Definitely not bar food. The atmosphere was nice, beautiful views, nice new looking decor. The service was nice and quick. We almost didnt go there because of the 3.6 star reviews, but so glad we did. The price is a tad high but so are all the other restaurants up there. It was worth it.
Valentines night. 5:30 pm. They were not taking any new tables (naturally) but assisted us anyway. We were able to get a to go order; and we were grateful! We had been skiing all day and did not plan well! Thank you very much for finding a way to help us! The hostesses were very calm and resolution oriented in a situation that was.. challenging! Very impressive!
Really cool place. Loved our server. He was terrific. Loved the music and the atmosphere. The food was excellent, lots of veg and vegan choices. Very fun night out. Thanks!
Our group got the jagerschnitzel, short rib, white out pizza, and kids Mac N Cheese. It was all great. Considering you are at a resort, the price was great and there was a lot of food per meal that you could split if you were trying to be more budget friendly.
Loved this place! We spent our Anniversary here, and we had such a great time. The food was amazing, and the ambiance was absolutely perfect. We'll be visiting again soon. Highly recommended!
Tried a lot of the food, all solid for a mountain town but would highly recommend the flat bread. Also, the chocolate fondue is one of the best ones that I have had stateside
Absolutely delightful. All of the lovely food you can find at local gastropubs, but with an incredible view. If there's a wait at the Porcupine, just go up the canyon! This is going to be our new mainstay after Okotoberfest. The restaurant is lovingly retro with an incredible bar. The waiting room really won me over---they embraced their historic vibe with free arcade machines ( Pac Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong!). We didn't have to wait long for our patio seat with a beautiful view of the mountains. The waitress was patient with our party (that included 3 toddlers) and got drinks out fast. The tequila martini was a true work of art. My husband had the salmon (nice presentation but they overcooked the fish) and I had the bison stroganoff with spaetzle. The meat was tender and the gravy was the perfect texture.
Killer atmosphere! My burger was delicious. A little over cooked, but overall a great flavor. The service was decent, but you could definitely tell they were a bit understaffed. The Apple Betty was incredible, I highly recommend getting dessert! The meal was pricey but worth it for the overall experience.
Cool seventies vibe in a diner setting. Only complaint on the decor was that a few of the tables had a lighting set up that was super bright. Otherwise real cool. Snowbird in general suffers from staffing issues. This does not reflect on Seventy One, just be patient. The food was solid, especially the vegan meatloaf. We were a little blown away by the bathrooms. They were super cool. There aren't many restaurant options at Snowbird. This one's worth a visit.
Service was really good. Baseball steak was really good. The french onion soup was very good. Salmon had great flavor and was cooked moist. Burgers are good sized and flavorful. Mac cheese was excellent. Califlower appy was okay. Breading wasn't fried enough and was sorta mushy. The Old Fashioned was okay. It needs more simple syrup in it l, orange and more bitters. Overall worth going when your here at Snowbird.
The food is absolutely phenomenal (be prepared for resort prices, though), the view is beautiful, and our server was incredibly friendly, but it took FOREVER to get our food. It wouldn't have been an issue if it was busy, but there were only a few customers, and it took over an hour to get served.
If you go here- ask for Brooke. She was our server and was amazing. Very accommodating and great personality. It made our whole experience here. Everyone got the short rib entree and it was outstanding. The restaurant overall is a little pricey for what it is, but I can’t complain about the food. Would come back again.
It’s a little pricey. But, considering the atmosphere and its surroundings you’ll enjoy the views. I really enjoyed the outdoors patio. Wait staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Food was decent, (sorry about the pictures remembered halfway thru eating) the waitress brought us the wrong beer we ordered and never came back to check on us. We didn’t want to make a big deal because it was really busy. My Mac with chopped brisket could have been served as a side, not a full meal. The steak and burger were good. We got the s’mores Sunday and definitely not worth the $10, it’s a scoop of vanilla ice cream and marshmallow fluff.
We stopped by around 4:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening for dinner. We actually had the entire place to ourselves. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The actual location is great (nice view of the slopes). Loaded potato wedge 8/10: cheese, bacon, and sauteed onions on potato wedges were a hit for a quick appetizer. Bacon could have been crispier. Wedge salad 7/10: crispy bacon, blue cheese crumbles, fresh iceberg lettuce. This was a decent wedge, but a steep price for $15. It needed more blue cheese dressing, but that was easily fixed by asking for more (like I should have done with my filet 😅) Filet mignon with mashed potatoes 3/10: I ordered a medium rare filet and received a medium well to well done filet (I wasn't asked how the temp was after it was served, which you'd expect from any high end restaurant). I should have sent it back, but it was awkward being the only people in the restaurant... Lol. The mashed potatoes were decent but needed some serious salt. Ahi tuna nachos 7/10: passable for ahi nachos, but the tuna quality left plenty to be desired. Fish and chips: I'd be surprised if this was fresh haddock that was battered in-house. My guess is it was frozen and popped in a fryer. For $25, this was probably not worth it, but it was still tasty. The coleslaw that it came with was dry and boring. Not sure you can even call it a true slaw. Chicken strips kids meal: my son ate all the chicken and was pleased with the potato wedges. Pasta with marinara kids meal: decent portion of pasta, although my daughter stopped eating because it was pretty bland. Mud pie 8/10: actually probably the best part of the meal. $16 for a slice of pie, and I'd expect it to come a la mode, but that was not the case.
Upscale dining without the service. Meats are often overcooked unfortunately (medium rare is my preference). Tuna nachos are great, everything else I've had falls short, but as a season pass holder I still will eat here at least once every other week on average. Would more if the value and service was there.
This restaurant is ok but not up to recommending. Service was decent. View is great. The beet salad was good. French onion soup was very mediocre for a $17 small serving and I thought it was extremely cheap to be charged extra for a request of "a slice or two of bread" to enjoy the rest of the lifeless broth which was only necessary because they skimped on the onions, bread and cheese to begin with.
You come for the view, and if you don’t sit outside, it’s not worth it. Only getting 2 stars, and those are for the waitress only. Fries were the best part with the fondue, but other than that, the food wasn’t worth the price. My friend got the the brisket Mac and Cheese and it looked like he got a kid’s meal size!! I asked for a side of BBQ sauce alongside the Peruvian Burger, and it tastes like Little Caesar’s marinara. I was really hoping this place would be good and exceed my expectations, but I was let down just like other reviews. Perhaps drive down the canyon and find a better restaurant for 1/4 of the price!
If you want to pay a fortune for a basic buffet this is the place for you. Drinks are offered by a server, but they don’t come out till after you eat your meal. Also… they are not included in the 28$ a coffee is 12$. This place is a money grab. Taking advantage of the limited offering by charging a lot.
Its a shame this place is so low performing for the hotel it is apart of. The last weekend we stayed provided us with missing food, poor service and an unnecessarily long waiting time. As soon as any uptick of business occurs, all quality of service is forgotten. This place would have a hard time if there was competition.
The wings come with a “house” BBQ “sauce” which really just tastes like a meat rub that has been mixed with water. The crab wontons were okay but the sauce was terrible. It was just like salty water with carrot shreds. All of the flavors were unbalanced and were just very salty without any acid or sweetness. I have a theory that the chef just likes really salty stuff and doesn’t like any sweetness but it’s important to think about general tastes. Too bad that it wasn’t very good and was very expensive.
The service is very nice but the food is horrible, the dishes do not have a good presentation, they do not taste good for everything it costs. I spent more than 100 dls for two people and it’s a waste of time, horrible; I don’t recommend it!
Looked like a cool place but our reservation wasn’t honored (“our server is backed up”) and we learned that once seated, the dining experience would also be delayed. They seemed disorganized and understaffed.
The food is not great. Less than diner quality. I couldn't recommend coming here. It is way Too expensive. We spent $115 (with tip) for 2 of us. We had The pretzel That is good. The cheese sauce is runny and thin. Didn't like the sauce. But pretlze was good. The shroom burger Not terrible. Good not great. The Asian salad with shrimp Don't go near it. The shrimp are a $11 add and you get 3 and they are just cold and boiled. Terrible salad. Desserts were Cheesecake Gross slimy texture and the sauce is fake. Apple crumble Betty thing. Just ok. Not worth it. Service was great! Very friendly staff. Just terrible food.
Update: spent the last 12 hours with GI issues. Not impressed. Over priced. Small portions. Terrible service. Seriously, they brought a dirty glass when I asked for a new one and they rinsed it and brought it back still dirty. $16 Mac and cheese was a child's portion. I'm sure management could care less about this review. Restaurants are limited so you pretty much have to eat here.
I try not to ever leave a bad review and will only do it if there is a crisis situation. In this case, this restaurants disparity between the price and the quality is so great that they leave me no choice but to attempt to describe the horror known as seventyone. We ordered three items and all three were prepared horribly. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that Snowbird staffs all these restaurants with skiers not chefs who get a free pass and they don’t get paid much. With that said, I would advise anyone to avoid this restaurant at all costs. The chicken soup had zero flavor and a quarter inch of chicken fat on the top. Exceptionally disgusting! The gnocchi was deep-fried and flavorless. We actually felt sick eating it and left most of it on the plate. The purported tuna nachos were really Chinese chips with a tiny amount of tuna on it with salad sprinkled on top. I was actually offended that they put it on our table. If there were laws Around food as there are for crimes against humanity, this restaurant would be convicted in an international court and sentenced to death.
OMG, the worst service ever!! We stayed in the Cliff hotel for several days. The hotel is great. But this restaurant: I guess because of the location (you have nowhere else to eat for dinners), their manager couldn’t care less about their service and food quality. The first evening we went there, the waitress didn’t bring back my credit card after the payment. So I just left forgetting my card. I only realized this on the day I was about to leave the hotel. I went back to ask for my card, the manager told me they turned the card in to the public safety and ask me to go check with them. The public safety staff checked all their records for these days and no one turned in any credit card. The food itself is ok quality. Nothing like dinner taste though. My beef and mushroom potato is too salty, my daughter ordered chicken tenders and she said only chicken is edible, and the fries (it’s not really fries, they are more like potato wedges) are soggy, so she only ate the chicken. The second evening we went there again (I said there is no other choice). After waiting for seating for 20 minutes, I didn’t feel well due to mountain/altitude sickness. So we decided to order something to go. Then we waited for our food for another 30 minutes. My daughter asked the waitress at the front door multiple times about our food (I was so unwell and couldn’t talk) and was told they will “go check” but they never did. After my daughter asked one more time with some attitude, finally the food was ready, but it’s all cold. $20 (with tax and tips) just for tiny portion of Mac cheese and some soggy potato wedges again!! My daughter was sad after opening her food. Lesson learned, this restaurant made this great hotel a no no palace for my family, even we liked the hotel and all hotel staff are so great and so friendly, especially the front desk ladies.
Don’t show up 30 minutes before closing, poor service. They were annoyed we were there, we are not high maintenance… we were servers… but when you treat us poorly and with attitude, we’re going to share. Great food/non-friendly service.
The cauliflower was seasoned well but not cooked well. The chicken wild rice soup seemed like it came from a can. The margherita pizza was the worst. I’ve had better pizza at gas stations. I don’t expect the food to be of the highest quality for a ski resort “cafeteria” but I do expect it to be better than it was.
We went to have lunch on Valentine's weekend and while it wasn't busy they were still somehow understaffed. This is an upscale hotel at a luxury ski resort with $20-40 plates mind you. We sat down and waited over 15 minutes before I had to ask if we were suppose to order at the bar or if there were servers. We then watched two other tables sit down and get immediate attention and receive food pretty quickly. After 20 minutes of waiting to order we were able to order. The food came out pretty quickly but again more problems. One order was correct, the other order was incorrect and the third item was completely forgot about. They kept saying how busy it was and as a person who has worked in the food industry, busy it was not. The food was decent but for the prices listed on their menu I expect some of service to make up for the absorbent price. To the Manager, maybe take some pride in staffing your business correctly if you're going to try to empty out my wallet. Also to all the corporate BS above you, maybe it's time to trim the fat on managers and actually get some people who do real work in your business because it shows.
