I’ve been here many a time for work happy hours. When they first started doing breakfast sandwiches I went and was not impressed! However I came here a few weeks ago and tried their breakfast sandwich again — so much better! What a turn around. Good spot for brunch especially when it’s nice out.

Great service and a really fun holiday market! Reasonable prices, delicious food! Happening spot! We had Noemi as our service and she was so fun and attentive! I had a friend in town visiting and she made sure we were taken care of. Definitely recommend!!

Noemi was amazing! She went above and beyond to make our experience so special. Even during the Christmas market with so much going on, Noemi made sure we knew about all the fun activities and specials. Will definitely be coming back to dacha because of her!

Stopped in for a drink on Labor Day. Really cool location / vibe and rich beer assortment! Didn't eat but food looked good. Dog friendly. Highly recommend!

Let me just say first that Val, our server, was awesome! Had my first beer in front of me before I could blink. Great beers, yummy food, cool atmosphere, and easy to get to. Great place for a larger group to gather too.

We went for a brunch today and was happily surprised with $5 happy hour mimosas and bloody Marie’s. Really good drinks. For food ordered brisket Benny and avocado toast and it was than we hoped for 😁 Our server was very friendly and made sure we had a great experience.

I have been to Dacha several times and the servers and bartenders have always been great! But our recent server Feyzi really did an amazing job! He was super attentive, helpful, and full of positive energy. He made sure to get my order correct. I have a dairy allergy which makes it difficult to eat outside the house but he was able to recommend the best dishes for me. Highly recommend Dacha for great food and top service!

Great Beer Garden !! We stopped here to enjoy some beer and food based on a recommendation from a friend. The outdoor atmosphere was great especially after a soccer match on this day. This feels like a neighborhood spot across the street from the baseball stadium. The bartenders were great and attentive. We will definitely come here again & again & again. Cheers!!

Show up with a large group and Dacha turned out to be the perfect fit. We were well taken care of by the staff and servers. Great attention to our multi generational crowd. Service was excellent and food came surprisingly quickly. And food was tasty and creative. Beer selection was great and unique. I will definitely return.

Food in general is just OK. Omelette and coffee are okie. But the steak and egg sandwich is good to try. Staffs are super friendly and their smiles will boost up your morning ☺️

I love beer gardens and have to say this is one of my favorites. The food is great, and service seems to be fast even when they're really busy. Gotta love drinking out of a boot! Bathrooms are large so there's never a line which is great even on a super busy night. Have to admit though-the prices are high even for Washington DC, and including gratuity is totally bogus. I don't tip under 20% as long as you don't kick my dog, but adding mandatory gratuity to a 2 drink order is regressive especially for a European themed joint, come on guys you can do better than that. Also, customers should know that when they say last call, they mean it. Be ready to vacate the premises immediately before closing. I understand it's obnoxious dealing with drunk theives trying to abscond with your glassware all night but it's a bit much. If it's an issue with locals whining and trying to get the place shut down because of noise violations I guess their policies are understandable though. Do yourself a favor and grab one of their pretzels even if no one at your table is hungry. After a boot or two, you'll all be glad to grab a bite!

My husband and I have been coming to dacha for some time now and we’ve always enjoyed the food and drinks. However, I have to say it is quite disappointing to find out how poorly the employees are treated. Specifically Michelle who has been our server on several occasions and has been nothing but outstanding. Shes one of the reasons my husband and I have kept coming back, she has always made us feel welcomed and overall just a joy to be around. To find out that someone as hardworking as her is being treated unfairly and isn’t getting the recognition she deserves from management /bosses is just sad. I remember an old employee who no longer works there also commenting to us how stressful and difficult the owners made their jobs. I can only imagine how many other employees have felt the same way and have left due to this issue. As much as we love the food and drinks here I don’t think we will be returning now that we know what goes on behind the scenes. With that being said I want to say thank you to Michelle for her wonderful service and wish her the best wherever she decides to work next!

I recently visited Dacha in Shaw, and while I’ve always appreciated its vibrant atmosphere and great drink selection, my latest experience left me disappointed, particularly with the food quality. Let's start with the positives: the drinks are still adequate. The cocktails are decent and the imported beer selection is expansive, making it a great spot for day drinking or night out. However, when it comes to the food, it feels like the kitchen was having an off day on April 13, 2025. Unfortunately, the dishes we ordered fell flat. The eggs in the Benedict were overcooked; I was looking forward to that perfect runny yolk, but instead, I got a dry, under-seasoned rock. The potato pancakes, serving as the base of the Benedict, were dense and tough. Overall the dish was a letdown, especially as it is a standard brunch item. The ahi tuna bowl was under seasoned and the tuna had a mild fishy taste. Not what you would expect from fresh ahi. The fried pickles were another disappointment—hard and lacking in seasoning. The watermelon feta salad was a struggle to enjoy. The watermelon was overripe and mushy, with hardly any feta to be found. The only exception to the underwhelming food was the pretzel, which was, thankfully, soft and salted well. If you're just looking for a drink and a light snack, the pretzel is a solid choice. In summary, while Dacha has great atmosphere, I can't recommend it for a full meal. I hope they can return to the quality I once loved.

I’m extremely disappointed with how Dacha Beer Garden Shaw treats people. I was kicked out by the manager without even being given the chance to order, simply because I no longer got along with them, not because I was disruptive or did anything wrong. It felt personal and completely unprofessional.

I am saddened to hear that Michelle will no longer be our server. My wife and I visit often, and she has always greeted us with the most positive energy and consistently provided excellent service. I was surprised to learn that she was demoted, as that does not align with the high level of care and professionalism we have always experienced. I sincerely hope this change is temporary and that management allows her to return to her previous role.
