So I rarely finish an entire plate. When I tell you I finished and contemplated getting a plate to-go I’m saying, THIS PLACE IS AMAZING with a capital A! Antonio served me and was amazing, he recommended the Tagliatelle Bolognese which was delectable. Will come again whenever I’m back in SD!
Had a warm, cozy yummy dinner so delicious, we went back the next day for lunch. And coffee warmed the chill. Support our local restaurants!
I rarely give five stars in all categories, but I have to make an exception for this place. I was lucky enough to meet the owner, Antonio, who is also the chef and made the best Napoli style pizza I have ever had. I’ve been to Naples, and this was better than any of the pizzas that I had there! he has a great wine selection and his staff is friendly and very good. If you’re in the area, you must go here!
This is such a cute little bistro and the food was delicious! Everything was so tasty. We had the lobster ravioli and spicy sausage penne and both were so yummy. The desserts were also so tasty! The owner is so friendly and such a great cook. We will definitely be back to enjoy this beautiful and delicious little Italian bistro!
Better with age. We were regulars before we moved and we returned for a bit of nostalgia. It must be 8 years since we were there and Antonio, the owner, remembered us! My wife didn’t believe him until he asked if I still want my favorite, seafood pasta. Wow! The food was as good if not better than I remembered. Go! You will love the food.
The food is amazing! We shared a couple of the appetizers and they were so good! The Burrata and the Bruschetta. The mozzarella was so fresh in the Burrata and the Bruschetta was on amazing bread. The entrees were definitely up to par. The chicken parmigiana was exquisite as well as the lasagna. I don't think you could order a bad thing on the menu. A must if you're looking for great Italian food.
Can I give this place more than 5 stars? I know I'm not usually very critical of places. But, Parioli is on another level for their food. My wife lived in Italy for 18 months and we've both visited. This took her right back and was the real thing. Probably the best lasagna I've ever eaten, and it wasn't even what I ordered. Get something with red sauce!
Well we loved it! Celebrated our anniversary here and tried out the special... Leg of Lamb Risotto... it was delicious. My wife got the chicken parm and they sat us right by the fire for the perfect ambiance. Plan on waiting a while for service, but that didn’t bother us... food was worth the wait.
Such a cute place. Small little restaurant, but worth the stop. We didn’t have a reservation, but got right in. Staff was great and the food was yummy. Would come here again!
We love this little intimate restaurant. Tucked into the side of Highway 1 you might drive right past if you don’t keep an eye out for it! Love that they have gluten free pasta options! Tonight was the gf penne with capers, olives and tomatoes for me. Lasagne for Dan. Pizza was fantastic too!!
Its a cozy restaurant with out door patio and I went in for Happy Hour and had a good Pinot Grigio at a great price and the Happy Hour food menu had a great selection of their regular menu items at Happy Hour prices. I had the grilled polenta and the portion was so big I didn't have room to sample their other items. I will be back. The service was very efficient and friendly.

We popped in on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, authentic and delicious and the portions were generous. Our waiter was attentive and warm. He checked in on us several times and delivered our food pipping hot. The atmosphere was casually charming and comfortable. Lastly, the offer alfresco dining and plenty of on site free parking.
What a great find! Soup, lasagna, and pizza were all amazing! Luna was the best server and so friendly! Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for authentic Italian!
The food here was delicious. Was very authentic pasta and pizza. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the pasta was to die for. Definitely will be back if we are ever in the area again!

So we ordered lobster ravioli and it was terrific. We also got chicken parm with noodles with Alfredo sauce which was really good as well. The problem is the decor. We were staying next door so it was super convenient but walking up we didn’t know if it was open. Inside, well it needs updating. We were seated on the couch bench tables. The tables were sticky, the bench was patched or covered with a sort of blanket where other issues were. So, Just overlook the decor and the fact that the pricing is definitely 25% higher than it should be, give it a try, the food I think is really good.

I choose 3 star, I believe it has potential to recover from the pandemic. First impression the interior is not warm and cozy like the previous posts. There are no tables and is an empty shell. Greeted by a man dressed in street clothes and poor hygiene. Choose to sit outside and the floor was littered with cigarettes. We should have left at this point but I was still optimistic and hungry. Burrta was delicious and full of flavor. I would have liked to have bread served with it. Bruschetta was full of flavor, but the tomatoes weren't quite ripe. Entree's were the lasagna and bolegense. Lasagna come out piping hot and the bolegense was room temp. The waiter never returned to checked on us so I could send it back. After brining the check he mentioned he was overwhelmed with being the only waiter and bartender. I hope they can come back to be the place they once were.

The place is beautiful, we drop in because of the beauty but we regret it so much and return the main dish! So first of all the starters are so small and not tasty at all. We hope that the main dish will compensate but we disappointed that all the dishes especially the main one is not related to Italy at all!!! Not delicious and don’t have an Italian vibe at all unless the Italian waitress. When we ask to return the main dish the waitress was so upset. And kick us out of the place!!!😅
The fettuccine Alfredo is very bland, no seasoning was on it. We ordered it with chicken and the chicken as well had no flavor to it and tasted like it was canned. It was kind of crazy that we paid $52 alone for the Alfredo. The bruschetta wasn’t bad, needed more seasoning. The garlic bread was good, but the sauce it comes with wasn’t great.

I’m not coming back. The owner is not to be trusted. We had an event there and that was an awful experience. He is not reliable and in the end he was charging us way more money adding charges that we never agreed. Be very careful with him and do not do businesses with him for your own peace of mind
The restaurant is very old, dirty, the benches are broken , the bathroom are old needs more attention, the worse thing is the table is wooden and very sticky that is sign of health attention and asked the waitress why is that , the table need to be cleaned she said o no ships how the wood is that was BS, the health department needs to check this restaurant. My wife asked for salad with chicken, the salad was very very poor $15 and the chicken few pieces $10, the chicken was cold and the waitress said o they just cooked it , it was a lie the chicken was bought from Costco or some wholesaler and it was pre cooked, very shameful, this restaurant should not be operating, they have nothing to do with true Italian restaurant, very expensive for unhealthy food

Horrible experience; would never consider going back. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. Unfortunate because the food was pretty good, but the service was so unbelievably bad, I felt like I had been robbed once I saw the bill. Had a reservation for a big group of about 25 (half with kids). My friend stopped by earlier in the day, and the owner assured him they could definitely accommodate. Arrived on time; they still needed to setup. No problem we thought; it’s not very busy, probably 20 people seated inside, will be ready soon. We headed to the bar to order drinks. 20 minutes later, tables still not ready, drinks hadn’t been made. After asking when we could sit (and where the drinks were) several times, they finally said they had another big group in the back (apparently where we were supposed to go) who didn’t want to leave so our only option was to sit in the front patio, which clearly wasn’t meant for dinner. Fine, whatever, everyone is hungry; but where are our drinks?! Sat down; waited another 20 minutes and several trips inside before anyone came to take a drink order. “Well we ordered several drinks at the bar 40 minutes ago, and you have our credit cards; any idea where those are?” Had to reorder the drinks with the waitress and physically go back to the bar to “cancel” the drink order we originally placed, 40 minutes ago, just to get our credit cards back. Again, there were 20 people seated inside; it’s not as if this place was pouring drink after drink the past 40 minutes. We should have left immediately. Unfortunately, against our better judgement, we stayed. Ordered a few pizzas and plain pastas for the kids as well; that was all they could handle though, and asked us to wait on everything else. Mind you we’ve now been here 40 minutes after our reservation began. Another 15 minutes later and we’re finally allowed to place our food order; albeit only after we protested when they initially asked us to “only order appetizers and salads right now; wait for entrees”. We’ve been here an hour and have had nothing to eat or drink; we’re ordering before we don’t see you for another hour. Fast forward another 15 minutes, after we finally got drinks and kids pizzas (they forgot the kids pastas entirely; we had to wait another ten minutes for those) and two garlic breads. The drinks were fine but the wrong bottle of wine arrived; they brought the cheaper vintage. At that point we didn’t even say anything for fear of the waitress breaking down and crying; we smiled and said thank you and moved on. Another 15 minutes of us sitting and waiting, and here comes the waitress. She brings a third garlic bread, apologizing for all the delays, saying it’s on the house. A $7 side item; much appreciated. Meals came another 15-20 minutes later (we’re now 1:40 past the reservation), and the food was good, but honestly no one really cared at that point; we just wanted to eat something. Ready to get out of there, one member of the party pays the bill, so we can split it later. Upon seeing the picture of the bill... wow. That free $7 garlic bread they were so generous to offer as the only concession? Was on the bill, charged in full. The bottle of wine? Charged for the more expensive vintage, despite getting the cheaper bottle. The kids pastas (spaghetti and red sauce)? Full $24/plate adult charge. The owner, who my friend made the reservation with and had assured him they could accommodate us, was nowhere to be seen after initially apologizing for the delay (about five minutes into this debacle). We received no concessions and no complementary anything, but were charged for what we didn’t ask for and overcharged for what we did ask for (but didn’t get). Worst restaurant experience of my life. If you can’t handle a group of 25; no problem, it’s not easy, we get it. Just say that before you accept the reservation, and then ruin everyone’s night with the horrible service.
