Everything is closed? Need a place to eat and hang out? Welcome to my high school weekend haunt because I was obviously suuuuppppper popular. This is a solid Taco Bell with good portion sizes and put together well. Clean bathrooms, next to gas, and well maintained facilities. Food variety is as expected. You can get hexagonal ones, folded ones, rolled up ones.... You're still reading.... Have you not been to a Taco Bell before, outsider? Staff are friendly and may I also say cute. I rate it four Diablo sauces and a sneaking-soda-into-your-water-cup.
These guys are great. It’s always busy here but they are super fast and friendly. The manager is a once in a lifetime kind of guy that treats everyone as though they are the #1 customer ever.
The food was good. The location was clean. Stuff were friendly.
At the Sonora Taco Bell today for lunch, everything came as order. My 4 yr old had fallen and hit his head on one of the chairs, he started crying and one of the workers( maybe a manager/supervisor) came to check on him with a bag of cinnamon twist and ice for his big goose egg knott! It was the best customer service ever, thank you sir for your kindness!

Well, I have always been a Taco Bell fan because regardless of diet fad (low fat, low carb) I could always find something to eat. I have always liked the cleanliness, especially of the one in Sonora near the Sonora Fitness Center and Safari Learning Academy. So close! But best of all, I like the customer service. There is always a smile, always patient - but better than that, they want their customers happy. Case in point: today I ordered a chicken Cantina salad. It arrived but no chicken. I was back to work so I called.......the manager said, "I'll walk it up to you......." THAT is outstanding service.
I love Taco Bell and they didn't disappoint. We came for the free taco cause of the world series baseball stolen base, and we ordered a burrito and a mini chicken quesadilla. Both were great, and the service was quick.
I always get great service here, and the food is always top notch. Even though its the only one in the county, I still enjoy this taco bell more than any other taco bell anywhere else. Its also the only taco bell ive been to where the food you get, actually looks more or less like the photos on the menu.
One of the best TacoBells in Tuolumne county. Fast friendly service with a smile. The roosters in the parking lot add a fun way to use the leftover chips.
Sorry no photos - I'm here to tout the special they are running: The $5 Nacho Fries Box. OMG! It was fantastic! For just five bucks you get a delicious beef taco, a very tasty 5-Layer 🌯 Burrito and a generous portion of Nacho Fries with a little cup of cheese dip (not enough cheese dip though - you really need to get TWO cups!) Oh, and you also get a regular beverage. Definitely a bargain. Bonus points: We dined in at the Mono Way location in Sonora, and it was very clean inside. Over all a great 5-star fast food experience!!

Thanks to the employees at our Taco Bell in Sonora, I was able to get through a very tough evening, doing doordash. I made a mistake in delivering 2 customers orders. When I returned to Taco Bell, two gentlemen, one I think is a manager and fellow who helped me with the drinks, we're so kind and went over and Beyond helpful. The gentleman assured me that everyone makes a mistake, and things things are tough, especially with covid. These employees at Taco Bell and their coworkers, are doing the very best they can with the long lines of customers and the drive thru and inside. I have never seen a bad attitude, if anything they're always cheerful. The parents of these boys should be very proud
I think this is the finest Taco Bell I've ever seen. I remember when it opened around 1986. There was s line of cars down the highway trying to get in. They stopped making green sauce an option though. That was tough to get used to because I ordered green bean burritos for the last 30 years. This must also be the busiest Taco Bell on Earth.
You have got to check out their app. Customize your order, save it for next time, skip the line or use drive through. This Taco Bell handles the orders via the app fast and gets the custom orders right Everytime! Do you want corn chips in your burrito? Yes you can order it in the app!
It's Taco Bell so if you like fast Mexican food then you will like it here. But I'd authenticity is what your after you may look for some place that don't have a drive thru. The staff was friendly, the food was hot and the price was right. But take this from someone who is a big fan of Taco Bell.
This location is always fast and friendly. 9 times out of 10, the food is well prepared and not just slopped together, so that's a huge win for me. The inside is always clean if not a little bit dated. Soda machine always clean and wiped down. Drive through is usually pretty fast. And to top it all off, there's often some random chickens and roosters hanging out around the drive through, so that's fun to watch while you wait.
The wife and I tried taco bell in James town Both times got sick. Sorry taco bell but its to Your turn over or food costs but your not changing chicken handled and another meat area for each meat you handle k I'm pretty unhappy. So this is just one or two. But I really hard time up to 3 times spent time on toilet. Reviewed by AWKWARD1 🙈🙈😎
I visited twice today. The drive thru line was really long but moves pretty quickly. My order was correct & fresh both times. This Taco Bell is awesome! Even when short handed they work together & work fast. They deserve tips!
Good people good food. Normally the quality and quantity of the food depends on who is making your order. Some makes loaded items while some not.
Always a very satisfying experience. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is always well made - as in it looks great and tastes great. This specific Taco Bell serves an important purpose as a common gathering place for a lot of people in the area and it feels like they definitely internalized that. I'm impressed every time 👍
We are frequent take out customers. Starr and the owner especially could not be any nicer! Even when our orders get super creative the crew never complains! Not only do they always get it right they actually seem to enjoy our quirky challenges! Simply the best!
Second drive thru visit in two weeks. The staff was wonderful and extremely friendly. Obviously this manager has stressed how important customer service is as they are doing an exemplary job! Today the lady taking orders even put in my two sweet n low's before giving me my tea so I wouldn't have to do it in the car... She made a note on the lid of my drink! That is going beyond... Thank you.
One of my favorite fast food establishments. Very clean atmosphere no matter when we arrive. The box value meals are well worth the money. Unlike some places. Taco bell needs to work on parking areas, if you go during peak hours leaving may be quite frustrating due to parking lot being split by drive thru traffic.
My fiancé and I went to Taco Bell tonight, around 7:50/8. We had wonderful service. The gentleman behind the counter was kind and patient with me (I tend to be indecisive) The order was perfect! Thank you to the gentleman that helped us and also for the staff in the back for preparing our food with adjustments. Taco Bell in Sonora does it right!!!! 🤘🏻
The staff here is always superbly courteous and helpful. Restaurant is tidy and kept well stocked, seemingly no matter what time of day. Large bathrooms. Easy access into / out of the building, even handicap accessible. Has booster seats for children. Does get busy during lunch rush.
Update: 2023 Since the remodel, they do not care about your mobile app order. What is supposed to make the process easier means you are the bottom of the barrel and takes 3 gives as long to get your order. They always need to be reminded since I'm left forgotten. Taco Bell in Sonora is always quick, helpful, and clean. Plenty of options and always quick to answer questions. Right now you can go through drive thru or order in store. Food is always fresh and hot!
Went through the drive thru. Online it said they were closed but they were open. It's taco bell so you get a fast late night snack, but this one was actually pretty good.

This review is for the Taco Bell in East Sonora. I work nights so for the last few months I go here to get food after I get off. I usually get Kristina and Victoria at the drive thru and I need to say that these ladies are the best! Their customer service is on point. I usually add on to my orders and they both are very helpful with getting me exactly what I want and how I want it. My food is always ready fast and hot when I get home. Kristina and Victoria go above and beyond just taking my order, they are always friendly and helpful which is really nice after a long day. I gave this store 5 stars because of the consistent excellent customer service I receive and because of the food!
Have had very few issues with this place on getting orders wrong. But it's the only one in the area unless I drive and hour west where there are 3 of these places. Also would love if it was open 24 hours because sometimes we work graveyard and would love to grab a bite
They are usually pretty good, food and service wise. Sometimes mess up our orders though but with fast food that is to be expected although it seems to happen way too much here lol
A great taco bell. The only thing is most times I go to the drivethru they forget something so always check your bag before you leave
I have always liked this particular Taco Bell. In general the services good, the food is done correctly, and the management obviously takes care of business. Overall it is one of the better Taco bells that I've had to go to in my travels
This Taco Bell typically does a better job than others. The drive thru line can get out of control sometimes though. They are typically nicer and more careful with our order than the one in Oakdale.
Good place to eat. And the managers are really nice. However, more often then not, when eating there during the nightly hours my order is messed up. However the mangers are nice and usually comp something or offer something to fix it.
As always Taco Bell was busy. We were able to place our quickly, and while the line started to grow, they opened the other register. Unfortunately my food was not very hot, and my burrito supreme totally blew apart and landed on the paper wrapper. Other than that, we will be back. Just maybe that one quirk.
We used the kiosk to order our food and chose to pay at the counter. The transaction finished with the DONE and no further instructions. We waited and waited and waited. We checked in to see the status of our order and was informed that we needed to pay before they would put our order together...otherwise, it was a fun day out getting a snack.
This taco bell is like any other. Service is always decent, but still disappointed they removed green sauce and Mexican pizza from the menu among other delicious items. Also, they consistently will forget an item that has been ordered, so we try and remember to double check our bag before driving away. The older gentleman who has worked there a very long time and appears to be in a managerial position is always kind and courteous and assures the customer is satisfied. For him alone I give an extra star, otherwise I would give only 3 stars.
I turned in just barely out of the street, it took 28:09 to pull away with my food. This is NOT a knock to them, I usually drive away if the line is that long. I just wanted to see how long that distance would take. The order was perfect, they didn't try to rush me to order, it was a great experience at a busy restaurant. Good job guys ....
I always enjoy getting the $5 boxes that taco bell provides, it really is a good deal for your money. This was a very clean store even down to the bathrooms, they provided great customer service, all the staff are very friendly and you are greeted with a smile and hello when you walk in the doors and the service was pretty fast as well. The wait time didn't take long to get your food after placing your order. I was a walk in customer so my comments are not referring to drive thru as I've not used their feature yet. I have no complaints with the food as it is exactly what I ordered and exactly how it should have looked and tasted! I'll enjoy another meal here when I'm in the area again. Thanks for the friendly and great customer service. I recommend you try them out if you are looking for a fast, cheap meal with customer service on the side!

Went through the drive up window. Person taking orders was pleasant and polite. The young man taking your money and giving you your food. Very friendly and polite also.
Did not get my. Order wright and we drove though and by time we found out about the food wasn't right not at all it was too late to take it back because traffic was so bad that it wood have taken 45 minutes to get back to the store and I did not enuff time too get back to work so I didn'thave lunch that day and i was just wondering what was going on in that place and not getting my order wright at all after telling them the 3 X time's in a row
Maybe because of this COVID 19, not sure but Taco Bell isn't what I remember it to be. The drive through orders never seem to be right. The inflation of pricing are extremely high. Service is all about getting the customers completed and gone. Taco Bell is my last choice.
There getting 3 stars only because every time I come there is a crazy line in the drive through. The food is always great. Just not a good place to come if you’re in a hurry. They need to hire more people
Not sure what's going on here, but the drive thru is usually at least a 25 minute wait. Pro Tip: Order through the app and pick up inside. Much faster. Also recommend double checking your order.
They change the menu a lot, their drive through is ridiculously long, and all too often they forget something in your order. The food itself always tastes good, and the employees are nice enough for a fast food place

The portions keep getting smaller and smaller while their prices keep going up. I ordered a large Baja blast freeze which got filled up 3/4 full. The worker gave me attitude when I asked her to fill it up all the way.
Good, but inconsistent. This location is usually very busy, commonly with a line wrapped around the whole building. The staff changes a lot, but are usually nice. The food is usually great, but I've unfortunately had a good number of times I've been missing items in my order. They're usually nice about fixing it, but sometimes you don't wanna wait through another entirely clogged drive-thru just to get it. I don't think the location itself is an issue, I actually think we need a second location somewhere in the county to help them out. I'd imagine the Taco Bell Express we used to have at Walmart took a bit off of their workload when it existed.
Food was great. First cashier was great. Very helpful and nice. But that's only good thing besides food. So cooks are who ever making food are super slow. at no time did they hurry make food. Line was 10 plus and stuff was hanging out. took 20 minutes get 2 tocos. Think before going.
Customer service was great however I ordered a dish without onions and they put a whole bunch of onions on it and I found a piece of hair inside my food

I like to switch out my sauces with spicy ranch bc I don't like sour cream. Neither item i ordered was correct. They also did not include the Hot sauces I ordered. They still tasted good beside that but missed all my requests
I normally like going to taco bell for the cheap, fast, and delicious food! However, a group of friends and I, walk into taco bell at 10:40, 20 minutes before the long was suppose to close, and when we walk up to order, the worker informs us that we are unable to sit down in the restaurant and enjoy our food, instead she tells us that we have to take our food to go... I would have understood if it were 5 minutes till they close the lobby, but they made us take our food and eat it outside in the cold instead. I will obviously be coming back for the amazing food, but I was very disappointed with the staff that night. Finally, I ordered my chalupa without tomatoes and there was a nice little box with "- tomato" on the top, while everyone else was normal, when I open up the box, my chalupa had tomatoes, and my friend had the chalupa without tomatoes, this is a recurring issue I keep having with taco bell. They always mix up our orders...
Around 6pm- closing they are snail speed. Never fails. Takes forever and don’t get me started on the drive thru. Yes the drive thru gets long but even when there are barley no cars… they take FOREVER. Just sucks.
I don't usually like fast food, but taco bell is my go to when I'm on the run. I will give them credit for their customer service, everyone was very nice, my order was accurate and the inside was clean. The big disappointment was that my taco shell was extremely stale I didnt even bother to try and finish it. The pepsi was watered down and this was sad.
My taco shells were broken and my watermelon freeze tasted like pure raspberry syrup I took to counter after only a sip and said this isn’t drinkable. She dump in garbage and didn’t offer a replacement. Some customer service !
A few times they have forgotten items in my meal. They always make them when I let them know, but when it's not busy they should be on top of it. The other day I went through the drive through and waited for at least 5 minutes for 6 tacos. There were no other cars.

Almost every order had mistakes. I think they've had a lot of staff turnover. The last couple of times I went there, the dining room was filthy. Hopefully they can find the balance of hiring affordable and quality staff. Even the manager seemed new. Once all mistakes we're corrected...after a very long wait, food tasted as it should.
How far Taco Bell has fallen. Anyone that's old enough to recall the food they served during the 70s, 80s and 90s can't help but be totally disappointed today. Burrito Supremes were twice as large with a variety of fresh ingredients that were easily identifiable. The taco shells were thick enough that they wouldn't crumble into bits spilling the contents all over and they contained 'real' seasoned hamburger. The nachos were freshly made, not the soggy, sloppy mess they serve today.
We have gone twice in 3 days through the drive throughand both times, we didn't have items we ordered. I complained and all I got was that they are training new people. And that I should have checked the screen, the employee read it back to me and still got the order screwed up. Basically all I was told ny the person that I talked to was that I should go inside next time. Not impressed!!
They can't ever get my order right on the receipt it's correctly written, but as they make the food it's completely wrong,not just once but even the fixed order was wronghad to go back 2x for them to get it correct, seriously how hard is it to make a Supreme hard shell taco minus beef add chicken, and there mountain dew drinks tasted flat. And this isn't just one visit with this exact order its every flipping time which I might go once every 6 months due to the hassle of a simple order! Guess I'll go to the new one in Jamestown instead of Sonora, I bet they'll get it right!

I would rate taco bell a 0 if I could. I came though the drive thru last night and Ukiah said that she didn't think she could serve me. I wasn't doing anything disrespectful to cause her to say that I just ordered my food like any other customer. I think that Ukiah is a terrible employee and that she makes Taco Bell look immature. As a customer I expect good customer service which is what she did not provide.
they messed up my order 3 times in a row and were not quick to try and make it right. then I opened up my terribly wrapped food to find everything just thrown into the papers I got an open faced quesadilla...I just ordered a regular one. I hate Sonora and its fast food.
Went to this tacobell location my truck is too big for the drive through notified staff at the drive through they ignored me so I walked to the window and they spoke to me through the glass in a very degrading manner and refused to serve me i will never return.
Everytime my boyfriend and I come to this taco bell our order is wrong everytime. I can't eat dairy and I don't eat meat and everytime I ask for beans instead of meat and fresco style I still get beef in the beans and cheese all over it. His order is always missing ingredients as well.
Numerous times the brain dead kitchen crew have screwed up our order and the last time was 2 weeks ago so my wife called their head office being that we had been missing an item, we got approved for a replacement of the same order and tonight I walked inside with the receipt with the managers name signed to replace the order as I received the order I stood by the counter and wouldn't you know they neglected to put 2 items in the bag, the night manager got the missing items for me. I will use the drive thew as I did the first time but will check the order before I pull away from the window and not budge until the order is filled correctly.
I got food from here yesterday for me and my grandma. I now have food poisoning. The meat was white and I’m pretty sure moldy, by the time I noticed it it was too late. Absolutely never eating here again!
I ordered Taco bell through door dash and everything with door dash was great but why does Taco bell ask for order details if they aren't going to make it how you order it. I'm tired of paying for sour cream and onion and not getting it and then requesting no tomatoes and getting them. If we are having to pay these employees higher wages they should at least be able to follow directions...something we learned in 2nd grade. ☹
I have never once gone to this location and there Sierra Mist and it actually Taste good!!! It either has way too much carbonation with no syrup, or no carbonation and just syrup. For the love of god why can’t you check that!! Seriously
Group of 12 ordered. Last person waited without asking us or Staff about order. Finally ask Staff: 30 minutes from ordering, got food. We heard cooks say we lost it. Asked for compensation. They offered cinnamon twists. Go if you must. They have lost our business for life. PS: I’m filling a complaint for food poisoning with Tuolumne Co Health Dept.
Wrong order again. Ordered the cantina chicken quesadilla and got 2 chicken tacos. Even those were trash and nothing more then chicken and cheese. $20 a hour to kids that can't even get orders right or make decent food 🤣🤣🤣

Ever since the General manager Larry left this place sucks, Food is always messed up, no onion ? Oh u getting onion lol always check your food basically I can't even leave without checking because 99.9% 1 of my items is messed up. Soo yah always check before u drive off. Then stand inside extra 15 mins for your food again . . .
The restaurants been open for 45 minutes yet they have not fixed the menu board in the Drive-Thru letting you know what's for breakfast and they wonder why it's so hard to get the orders right it's very difficult ordering food from this restaurant especially when you order one item and it's the only one with that name yet they still asked you five separate times what you ordered and get it wrong. I come to this restaurant every morning 5 days a week for months and order the exact same thing each time yet I have to draw the employee a picture and slowly State my order every single time like I'm talking to a toddler. . I miss the old employee that knew what they were doing... I guess I'll be going back to a real restaurant where they actually know what I want before I walk in the door and start cooking my food the second they see my car pull in the parking lot now that is a real service....

They employee's were just standing around talking yes they saw me I waited to order for a long time i should have just walked out cause our food wasn't right & was just slopped together worst service ever and the one that did help me was clearly irritated with the other employee's
Every time we order from here something is always wrong with our order. Food missing, specified orders wrong...we're over it. I can understand if it is every once in awhile, but it has literally been EVERY TIME we've gone here. We thought that maybe ordering from the app would make a difference, since it's hard to mess something up when it's right there in front of one's face, but we were wrong. We won't be going here again.
Every time I come here, my order continues to be messed up. Even when it’s an allergy and I specifically mention it on top of taking it off on the mobile order. I ordered delivery from here and none of my food ever arrived and I still haven’t gotten a refund and it’s been over a month. Again, I ordered food for pickup tonight and my food was incorrect, leaving me with no food item to eat while my family eats next to me. Overall, very disappointed with the service and quality of food coming from this restaurant.

Super disappointed with this store. It needs the dining room to be properly cleaned and maintained. Also I will never eat at this location again due to the fact that the employees (women) in the drive through think its okay to take their hair down and shake it out, flip it around and put it back up... All while my food was sitting right there next to the employee that was playing with their hair. It was utterly disturbing that the employee did that and the management on duty didnt see any problem with it..

Taco Bell Sonora, Monday, September 22, 2025 7:30 p.m. Went through the drive through. Had a problem with my order. I went inside and asked to speak to a manager and someone (a larger man with dark hair, maybe hispanic) told me that there was no acting manager on duty and I said, "Well, who's in control here?" He then pointed to Jayden. I began to explained to Jayden (acting man in charge) that my Supreme Crunch Wrap did not have any sour cream and I had eaten through half of it and hadn't experienced it and there was very little lettuce on it as well. The staff said, "That's the way it is." Jayden said, "It's mixed in and that's why it's mixed in with the beans, so it's creamy." I said, "It's not there with the beans and I proceeded to drop my crunch wrap on the counter, open it wide with my fingers and show them that there was no sour cream, then, I saw the glob of sour cream in there that I didn't even see nor did I get a bite of because it was globdual in one spot and he told me, "It's mixed in, it's all here you can see it, it's all here everything's there." I said, "Can you just make me a new one?" He said, "No, we're not going to make you a new one, you're not going to get that, you can have a refund, but I'm not making you a new one. You have everything on there and you're not going to be getting free food." My Dwight, whom was standing behind me, offered to buy a new one, but he argued and said, "You're not getting free food." I said, "That's not what I was trying to do." He said, "Then you're going to have two of them and that's free food." I initially went through the drive through and Jayden was the same one that slammed the window in my face when I had to open my car door to do business with him because I have a troubled car door. We were over a 100 miles from home. This is not how they do business back where we are from. They actually say to you, "Oh, I'm sorry let me fix you a new one." Not here! The entire experience was horrible!
Every drink tastes terrible because they have no filters in the machines. The towns water tastes bad and they don't filter it out, most of the fast food places do because it just tastes disgusting. Smell terrible in here there is no way I can eat in here with this smell. The garbage is overflowing it's nasty.
Absolutely THE WORST Taco Bell I’ve ever been to! We ordered online 7 minutes prior to arrival. We waited 30 minutes while 15-20 cars went thru the drive thru. When we did get our order, it was wrong, missing items and no drinks. The employees were goofing off and very unprofessional. Quite obviously these people were raised by democrats.
Had a very rude employee Brenden Mackenzie throw the bag in my hand failed to provide drinks or correct sauce asked for extra mild then after sitting for a few minutes, he finally comes back to ask what I’m missing then proceeds to tell his manager to come help me because even though he took my order and asked what sauce and what drinks I would like he couldn’t even provide them, but gets paid $20 an hour to take my order, give me attitude mess up my food and give me heaping full bag of sauce witch not a one was what I asked for and just tossed my food around👍
I would have rated lower however there is no option customer service was below average for bare minimum and apparently the staff need phonics in order to understand what people are ordering because it seems every time I come to eat here they always miss or refuse to follow the order and when you order extra of toppings and sides they don't put any which is annoying because I'm paying for it and not receiving it I will no longer facilitate this company or promote anyone to come here!
