Delicious and huge portions! Hours 11am-9pm daily I was debating between blueberry, pistachio and butter pecan and the lady who helped me said blueberry was the best, so I got "one scoop" of blueberry on a waffle cone. It was definitely wayyyy more than one scoop! My photo doesn't do justice. Friends got pistachio and strawberry shortcake and we were all pleased.

YUM! Such good prices for the amount of ice cream and SO delicious and creamy. This is the “baby” scoop and was still huge. Strawberry and blueberry were both incredible.

We love bicycling to Richardson’s Ice Cream Parlor! HUGE scoops, great choices, friendly scoopers. Yes it’s busy during the summer season, for good reason. We plan to visit several more times before you close for the winter. My favorite so far was your special black cherry. Yummmm!

This ice cream shop has been around for decades and is must-stop-there for many visitors of Lake Tahoe. Over a dozen different flavors to choose from and different types of cones. You can sample the flavors before deciding. The ice cream is rich and creamy. The palace is popular with campers from the nearby Camp Richardson, so expect a line. Worth the wait!

Really delicious ice cream but there's a long line and wait. Like out the door like and almost a 30-min wait to get the ice cream. Had maybe the best strawberry ice cream I've ever tasted, so definitely worth it!

Great ice cream place in South Lake tahoe. It usually has a long line, but it moves quickly.

My family and I have loved this place for years. The ice cream is wonderful, and the scoops are huge. Be warned: If you order a two scoop cone, you better bring a wheelbarrow to help you carry it out. I kid you not, it is enormous. 😃

So Camp Richardson is like a little town...hotel, restaurant with view of the Lake, general store with a deli, campground, bike rental, ice cream parlor, coffee, etc... So don't think it's just a campground... Ice cream gave HUGE portions...1 scoop was apparently like 7oz of ice cream. Can't imagine balancing 2 scoops. Apparently a baby scoop is 3oz so you health consciously mind folks can be aware of that. Ice cream was good but hard to mess up with sugar and fat as a treat. (See pics for scoop size, but 3 single scoops were $16.50 -- budget saver and diet saver would be to share!) Wasn't too crowded for us on a weekday afternoon but with campground nearby and reasons for passers-by to stop, can see this place getting pretty crowded.

Alright for what it is. We drove to this spot to get away from the craziness of the Stateline area. Got right in and served right away which was super nice! Huge portion size. Just wish the ice cream had a little more flavor to it. Not bad but nothing to write home about.

This place is overly hyped. I believe is because of the campground and strategic location, but the ice cream is not good. I was driving and decided to try it out because the line was out the door. I imagined that because of its popularity it would be awesome. To my surprise it’s Chrystal ice cream, which I can probably get at a grocery outlet. Pretty disappointed

We have a house in SLT and visit throughout the year. This was always our favorite place for ice cream, even with the long lines in the summer. It must have recently been sold, they are open until 9pm now, have matching employee shirts, have a website and still serve giant scoops of ice cream. Unfortunately, they must have switched ice cream companies, because it is not the same as before. Their ice cream was rich and full of flavor and now tastes like a mass produced ice cream you might find at a sporting event. We've been twice this summer, had to confirm, and it was no bueno. Also, their waffle cones taste like they came out of a plastic bag, instead of the "homemade" cones of years past......SO SAD!

I wish I could give zero stars because I didn't get to try their icecream. I am writing to just let the readers know that even though their website says 12 pm, it didn't open until at least 12.15 pm. Great place for ice cream, but if you want a shake think again. The shakes are very thin. I was excited to try a coffee toffee shake it came with a spoon and a standard straw. The spoon was just for comedy as the shake was easy to consume with the straw. If you like a thick shake this is sure to disappoint.

I’d never go there again. Right when my husband and I walked in the place smelled like raw sewage. Huge ice cream portions but I’ve had better ice cream.
