Went in for dinner and it was perfect. All the ingredients are super fresh For starters ordered -Adamame -Fried Avocado - the tempura was very light -Avocado bomb with spicy salmon filling - beautiful dish, tasty,but I would recommend a bit less sweet chili sauce on it Mains Chefs choice (and the chef made great choices!) : -starter:Ceviche with yellow tail,salmon, cucumber,mango in yuzo -fresh,light ,great starter -second: Sashimi assortment,this was perfect! Very nice combination and super fresh,the salmon belly literally melts in your mouth -maon: Nigiri assortment - had a nice wasabi kick and again super fresh fish ,well made rice In addition: -Alaskan roll -Apple,mango,tuna and cream cheese roll with a lovely hot sauce on top (forgot the name of the roll)- had a nice kick to it and the flavor combo was surprisingly good -sweet potato roll- nice light tempura -vegi roll -very fresh For dessert we ordered the vanilla ice cream and chocolate mousse cake - delicious! The service was super quick and nice. Plenty of street parking in the area Definitely recommend -we all came out very full and very pleased 😄

After coming here I can never go to another sushi place and be satisfied because i’ve never had anything as good as Sushi Bada. By far the freshest most flavorful sushi I have ever had! The staff is amazing, food is breathtaking, service is excellent and overall atmosphere can’t be beat!

I love sushi bada! My father and I used to come here every week for two years due to my previous job location. I still go to sushi bada at least 1-2x a month with my husband now that I’ve had a job location change but they never disappoint! Fresh seafood and great flavor combinations paired with beautiful plating skills leaves another trip soon after to be strongly desired! Fair pricing for the food quality you are getting. Highly recommend! I also recommend the ‘Trust Me’ - if you love seafood you can never go wrong with this one!!!

The best sushi I've ever had... simply amazing. Great staff, too! I was very lucky to find this place coming back from a work trip. It's unassuming in downtown Suffern, but you walk in and know it's going to be great. I highly recommend the Play Suffern roll, the Trust Me and any dessert. On top of that, every roll we've ever ordered has been amazing... if only this place were closer to the city! Edit: Still the best. Simply unreal

My family loves coming here for special occasions. The dishes are pricey but we all agree the high quality sushi they serve is worth it! Their lychee martini is amazing and I love their Bamboo sushi roll. There is something for everyone on the menu and they also do a lunch special. The ambiance is wonderful, the best in the area dare I say. It makes you feel like you’re at a hip, modern sushi restaurant in NYC. The servers are incredibly nice and attentive. It’s always a little busy so be sure to make a reservation during peak hours.

Sushi Bada is excellent. The only reason I didn’t give five stars for the food is because I order ‘Trust Me’, which is a four course sushi/sashimi meal chosen by the chef. The last course is sushi, which is a few pieces and one roll. For the past year or two that roll has been shrimp tempura. Everything else in the entire meal is exceptional. You don’t always get the same thing and every morsel is a delicacy. Then you get that cold, deep fried, very mediocre to subpar tempura roll. It doesn’t match the quality of that meal and I can’t even eat it. In the past they served a fatty tuna spicy hand roll that like everything else in the meal, just melted in your mouth. It’s time to bring back that or another authentic sushi roll, something buttery and creamy and fresh and amazing like the rest of the meal. That dried out, deep fried, overcooked shrimp tempura roll is not for hard-core sushi lovers.

Nice place. I went on Valentines Day and had a reservation. The place was crowded, but our server was nice. The sushi was expensive. The brussel sprouts were good, and they had great sauce. The calafornia was ok and so as the other rolls. The music was nice and the seats were comfortable. They had cute decorations on the ceiling.

Place is absolutely beautiful. White twinkling lights in the ceiling and dark walls make you feel you are outside at night. Crowded at 4:45 on a Saturday. Serve cold water n sparkling translucent water glasses. Complimentary salad or miso soup. Have a nice bar, unusual for sushi place. Ordered salmon roll, avocado salad, clear soup and avocado roll. Avocado salad came with ginger dressing on the side with shrimp, cucumber n imitation crab, with loads of green salad. The salmon roll looked like the salmon was drenched in oil, sent it back and they took off bill ( nice didnt eat). The clear soup was weird tasting and the avocado roll tasted as though they put sugar in the rice. Attentive server and host. Maybe we didn't order the right things to eat here as was disappointed as the prices are high and the place is so pretty to sit on a nice night. Looking around other sushi n platters looked good n people enjoying. Asked for green tea. Received green tea bag in hot water. Maybe a second chance is due.

i personally love this place, but on Valentines day it was an epic fail, service was slow, waited 25min before anyone even came to our table, another 35min for our drinks to arrive and over and hour and half for our food to get there, and it was cold. they were under staffed, overbooked. it was a real bad experience, if it was not for the couple's next to us chit chatting about how slow it was and us laughing the night would have been a total disaster. i just dont think they were equiped to handle large crowds. very dissapointed.

Food was decent, Udon soup was rather bland but Teriyaki Chicken was very good. Our waiter was not very attentive and it took a long time to order and a long time to get our food. He forgot our salads and we had to ask for them when he brought our meals out. Probably would not return as the whole experience took a very long time.

I was one of 3 in my party that dinned at sushi bada. We were having an amazing time up until we found a piece of mold embedded in our ice halfway through the meal (see photo). We attempted to get this issue resolved without making a scene or over-doing the issue and were told that it was “going to be taken care of.” We thought about just leaving, but considering we made the effort to come 40 min away for this restaurant, we decided to stay and try the sushi (what we came here for). We were hopeful for the remainder of our meal, however, we ended up focusing on checking / hyper-focusing on everything else after finding the mold. We requested new glasses without ice for the water. We received salad with the sushi and the taste was not what I was expecting and I ended up not eating it because it was not enjoyable. After getting our sushi the Sunfire roll was VERY fishy to the point we removed the eel off of the roll and left it on the plate. The two other guests with me did not enjoy the other sushi rolls only having a couple pieces each. I’ll give the restaurant a plus for the lychee martini and appetizers but that’s it. The sushi was subpar, sides were not enjoyable and THERE WAS MOLD IN THE ICE CUBE! The manager explained it was not mold and ice machine is cleaned everyday, without a further explanation of what it actually was. As a valued customer I did not expect such a minuscule compensation of the cheapest item on the menu (the Sunfire roll) which we didn’t even eat the fish out of it lol. We were very respectful the entire time despite what the restaurant staff may explain. This is not a “fishy” review, this is the experience we had. We were at the restaurant a lot longer than what we intended due to the long waiting and back and forth with the staff and manager to speak about this issue. It was a slap in the face as a customer that the compensation offered did not reflect the LARGE issue voiced and shown. Like I rated above the atmosphere was nice and drinks were great, the food and service were subpar for a seemingly “higher end” restaurant and for a bill of close to $200 including tip. Very disappointed. I noticed the other review with the response from sushi bada owner and did not appreciate the gaslighting saying we were trying to get more than what was deserved and were scamming them. Absolutely the opposite, if you found mold in your drink at a high end restaurant what would you expect ?

Was very excited to try this place but unfortunately within the first few minutes of our experience there was visible mold in the ice cube of the drink (see photo). This severely affected the rest of our experience. Not to mention that the ginger sauce on the salad was terrible and the Sunfire roll was the most disgusting thing we ever tasted. We spent around $200 for the bill and the only thing comped was the cheapest thing on the menu $9.95. After having about 7 different people come up to us asking if we were ready to pay the bill, we had to ask for management three times just to be told “we can offer you a free dessert” we were told multiple times that the ice machine is cleaned every day and then we were told that what was in our drink was “not mold” but no other explanation was offered. Extremely disappointing, will not be returning. Word of advice - specify that you do not want ice in your drink if you decide to try your luck.
