Used to live close and this became my husband's and I favorite taco shop. We now live in San Ysidro and we continue to drive here when we want a GREAT taco shop. The food has never disappointed me, they have lots to choose from, the prices are affordable, the staff is always smiling and friendly, and it's always clean when we go in. They're normally always busy because it's so close to so many homes and shops. Expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes. Trust me when I say every bite is worth the wait. When they aren't busy, it's pretty fast. No drive thru through.

Best machaca burrito I've had. The food is always amazing and the service is a plus! Anything I get it's always delicious just like the chicken roll tacos are crunchy but perfect in every bite and their green salsa is the best!!! You gotta try everything seriously, no lie. Great seasoning and bursting with flavor.🍽👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The food is hit or miss depending on who is making it. Typically Fridays is the only day that I actually get the extra cheese and extra sauce that I pay extra for.

The food was amazing! The California burrito, top notch!! But the facilities left a little something to be desired. And the napkins? Not quite up to the task of cleaning up after such a juicy burrito. They kind of made things worse…

This place is small but do not let that fool you. The food is always big in flavor. They have really good food. Sometimes I come to this place when I crave something spicy, and when I do I order the Shrimp Diablo Burrito. It comes with rice, shrimp, and a super spicy yet ultra flavorful sauce that is to die for; it's some kind of secret.

Carne asada tortas mostly refried beans . Very little meat , I couldn't eat it . Roll tacos special , too much white crim very soggy. Wasted $40 . It went in the trash. 👎🏼

During pandemic: Pretty good shredded chicken taquitos, mini tacos come with two corn tortillas (the way it should be), and cheese enchilada was yummy. Got my order delivered by Uber Eats and I’m so grateful there’s something like that or else I feel like I’ll go insane not getting the foods I crave. If you’re craving some of these items I highly recommend their tacos!

Love The Chile Verde Combo.. They Pile On Some Good Hearty Amount Of Meat Baith In They're Own Home Made Hot Chilly Salsa.!! Served With Beans And Rice. It's like a 2 person meal.." I Love It.! "

I like this restaurant, they do it fast and there are not so many people, sometimes they need to put a few things but it's fine for me, My favorite is California burrito and the agua de ochata is the best, it’s sweet and has a good taste 👍🏼🌯

I've been going to this establishment since I was in high school. The food and service is always great. Although, it can get a little bit pricey depending on what you order.

Cotija's has failed me today. I have ordered the California burrito for years and it has always been big and full. Today I was given a burrito that had more fries that anything.... very little carne asada and only sour cream and a little cheese. I bit into it and it was dry... and left still hungry.

This cotijas taco shop location doesn't taste like cotijas Mexican food the burritos have different taste.

Well when these Idiots actually get my order right, their food is pretty good. Our visits are far in between and it looks like we just made our last. There are way BETTER RESTAURANTS in the area that NEVER SCREW UP a simple order... Carne Asada Burrito with ONLY Sour Cream & extra Cheese. NO Pico or Ca-camole (I call it). I'm sure they don't care, but these people lost my business for good. 🤷

Small taco shop with your typical menu. Lunch specials are really not much of a special price wise. I ordered a ham and cheese quesadilla and they wereade in the shape of two burritos. Taste was okay but the salsas had no real flavor. They were spicy or hot and with no real taste. Almost seems like they were recycled and put in the fridge every nite.

Don’t get the chilaquiles they suck. Services was great! Food was meh . We think their salsas are expired thb.

The woman running the front seriously need to step up her customer service skills. I called in my order (took about ten minutes to get here) and had to wait another 10 minutes to get my food. As I’m waiting she’s gossiping with her friend that just walked in. I could see in them have a grand ol time cussing and laughing. In the mirror I could see her move my food from kitchen window to the counter didn’t let me know it’s ready. I had to interrupt there conversation to about my food. So I got it and asked if it just came out, she lied and my food was cold to the touch. Than so customers walked in and she didn’t greet them, no no no the conversation with her friend was more important. What’s going on here? If she continues to stay working here I’m going to have to pick a new spot.

Been going to this taco shop for like over 20 years. Always was good but recently it has been going downhill. First of all, this last time they charged me $14 for 2 tacos de al pastor. I didn't realize it until I got home (4 miles away)with the rest of the order and saw how little meat they had. I checked the receipt thinking they had only charged me for 1 taco because of how little meat there was, to find out they over charged me and the meat was for like 1 taco. Secondly, their burritos, although the taste is good, have been getting less meat and more tortilla fold in them. If you get a cali burrito, it's mainly all fries and very little meat. May be time for look for Northern taco shop.

The food is good. I have been a valued customer for the past 3 years after 1 day. The first time I sit in the restaurant and actually eat there. I ordered Carne asada tacos. On my second tacos I found rubber bands I guess from the tortilla. Rubber band looks like cheese if you don't really pay attention. I told the cashier, she saw it. She apologize to me. What I was upset about was no one return my call. I left like 3 messages and the lady even took my phone number down but never receive a phone call from the manager or owner. How can they run a business like this! I cannot imagine how they prepare the food. Disgusting!!!!!

Hella over-price. 8.40 for shreeded chicken burrito 0.89 cents for rice inside $2.99 for a small horchata and then they wanna add 0.50 cent to use credit card. Not worth it. Horchata has no flavor. Drive down the street to Robertos everything 7 bucks this place is highway robery and its not even great food

Also I didn't get my soda but that's on doordash not the restaurant. Other entree in order was fine but like....not even kinda melted. At all.

Ordered 2 Diablo shrimp burrittos and we got 2 regular shrimp burritos. Still hungry so i ordered 3 rolled tacos with guacamole and the guacamole was watered down big time. Also, my moms coffee had a lot of grounds in it, where has the quality gone?

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I have been getting food from here for a long time and never had a problem until today. The lady really had the nerve to tell me that I order my food wrong. She was very rude on the phone. I asked for simple things that I’ve always asked for and she couldn’t even do correct. I don’t know if it was her miscommunication with the cook or the cooks fault but my food was missing the cheese and the beans which I ONLY wanted cheese and beans so she gave my fries and meat in a box. I had to drive all the way back to pick up my food that she gave me a whole different order. And my CARNE ASADA CHIPS HAD NOTHING BUT CHIPS.

Worst customer service ever. Cashier does not know how to take an order correctly and without hearing out the customer first. She got frustrated when I told her she got my order wrong and still wanted me to pay for the wrong order. I offered to write down my order because she told me she will charge my next order even if it’s wrong even if she made the mistake on my last order. She then said no with a smirk on her face. I then proceeded to tell her my order and then she gots frustrated then put her hand on her forehead and then I told her it’s fine I’ll go to a different place to eat and said thank you. I will not eat at this place until to better their cashier’s customer service

We use to get food in this place, before it change management , they use to have good food ang less expensive, today i was so frustrated going home excited with my shrimp burrito,. I ate the whole thing ang ate 7 pcs of small shrimp and overcooked. Old management ..the shrimp burrito is mouth watering, My husband's shredded beef hard shell, ohhhh .. not worth for $3.99. . Was so thin!

I go here all the time and I have never experienced the horrible customer service I received today. There was a girl with glasses who came in slouching and throwing her phone and didnt even greet us I proceeded to order anyway until she walked away in the middle of ordering so I decided to just leave and I told her she had a horrible attitude!!!

I truly expected more from a place with this name. The roll tacos were horrible. The pollo asado burrito was small with big price. I would def not recommend to anybody. I really asked myself How can they stay or be in bussiness? Truly sad experience!

But now, they’ve become total cheapskates with their portions. It’s just not the same anymore and they should just name them SMALL carne asada fries instead that way you are not surprised. Honestly, save your money and go to Sayulitas instead. You’ll get way better value for what you’re paying.

It used.to be proportionate to everything else, but lately I feel like they're using it as an excuse to skimp me on the meat. The service is fine and all but whoever is making the food needs to quit giving people burritos with a thin line of meat on the side of it. Do better man. I even let the person taking the order know that my last burrito barley had any meat in it and they didn't seem to care at all or tell the cook. Looking at other reviews lately it seems this place is going down the drain, used to be good food but now it's just slapped together Mexican slop food. I don't think I'll be eating here anymore, I've wasted my money too many times thinking the next time will be better. Goodbye after almost 20 years of eating here! I'll go down to lolitas or don Pedro's instead.
