The food is just amazing, everything was very tasty, everything we ordered was just great. Tuna tartare is very tasty, it's the first time I've seen it served with strawberries, but it was very tasty. The mussels in the wine sauce are great, the sauce is incredibly tasty, the mussels are soft and just melt in your mouth. The burger is also beyond all praise: a very tasty bun, the meat is juicy and they made me exactly the roast I wanted. And of course, the creme brúlee dessert is probably the most delicious I've ever eaten anywhere! Cocktails also deserve special attention, everything we ordered was amazingly delicious! Very balanced taste. Staff: everyone is friendly, polite, attentive! Just handsome! I definitely recommend this place!

What a lovely experience and truly satisfying dining experience. The decorations for Christmas were spectacular and truly the most festive restaurant I've experienced in St. Augustine. The salad with Gorgonzola cheese was perfectly balanced and crisp with freshness. The fish sandwich blackened with aioli and patatas bravas as a side was a savory and satisfying dish. Be sure to start off with a nice or naughty shot depending on your personal preferences. Lovely experience and extremely satisfying dinner.

Great place for delicious food and an incredible variety of drinks! Josh and Amelia(?) were top notch and very pleasant. Atmosphere is very "turn of 20th century" but with great ventilation and not too loud of music. Trufflized Fries were sooo good! Garlic aoli on the side was perfect. Too many incredible drinks to even mention, probably 10-15 for each major spirit out there and made very well! A solute must visit if you're in St. Augustine

Four of us had a wonderful dinner at Forgotten Tonic, a small restaurant that this boomer would say had a "hip" vibe. The cocktail theme stands out in the decor and the 27-page leather-bound menu (mostly cocktails), which even has a table of contents! I had a happy hour Old Fashioned cocktail that, unlike most happy hour drinks at restaurants, got me slightly lit. I ate the smoked fish dip appetizer, the catch of the day, and finished with chocolate mouse. The fish was fresh, local mahi-mahi with a sweet chili beurre blanc sauce, served with kimchi fried rice. Absolutely delicious! My wife enjoyed the risotto, grilled Brussels sprouts, and the brown cake for dessert.

We used the online reservation system and were immediately seated. The drink menu was quite imaginative and they had excellent homemade sodas! They were decorated for Halloween and the atmosphere was ideal. Our server was very attentive, delivered our food as ordered, and wasn't pushy at all. I ordered the pork chop, we split a large salad, and my wife got the Penne a la Vodka. My pork chop was perfectly cooked and didn't seem to be ruined by the always-common wet brine that so many restaurants employ. It had a wonderful homemade BBQ sauce and I subbed the Brussels with gochujang sauce-- which were fried nicely with the sauce being a perfect complement. The salad was very fresh, nicely dressed, and used a very good quality cheese. Lastly, my wife's pasta was generously sauced and she was extremely happy with this vegetarian option. Certainly not phoned in like some places. It had a softito base with vegetable broth and then was finished with cream, high end cheese, and vodka. We were only in town for two nights and I scoured the city to find the right place for our second night. Forgotten Tonic didn't disappoint.

So glad we took the advice of another review. Made a reservation weeks in advance for the one night we visited St Augustine at 430pm on a Tuesday. When we arrived, it was already packed! The night was a memorable experience, made extra fun by the miracle popup. Light up knit hats waited at our table, a gift for all reserved diners. Loved the unique drinks and cute themed serving ware. The food was tasty and Tara’s service above par. The thematic decor created a great back drop. Highly recommend!!

We were here during Nights of Lights, and they were definitely decorated for the season. Our service was 100% on! Ethan was a young guy ready to serve with a smile. We had meatloaf (sooo good), shrimp and grits (husband says 5 stars), and meatballs. The warm bread was amazing. Drinks were served in festive mugs, and we were given Christmas hats that light up. We've decided this is a stop we want to bring all of our guests to experience. Definitely make this a priority!

Appetizers, drinks, and lunch. Loved the atmosphere and decor for their Christmas pop-up. Specialty drinks were 20.00 and up. Enjoyed the Baked Brie appetizer, served with fresh fruit. Well-balanced and tasty. Our server recommended the FT Burger, hands down one of the best burgers I have had. Pasta dishes were ok. Service was great, our server was knowledgeable and personable. Would definitely return. A hidden gem on Aviles Street.

Loved the customer service from our waitress, Amelia! She was phenomenal! We had the meatballs and fish dip for appetizers, and the mussels and shrimp & grits for our entree. The food was great!! We totally forgot got to take pics of it! My husband has three glasses of Chardonnay, which he loved. I had a mocktail (Widow Maker) but it was too sweet so I couldn’t drink it. It was taken off the bill, no problem. Great selection of drinks, though, and Amelia treated us to the creme brûlée which was absolutely divine!!! 10/10 highly recommend

Great little place! We didn’t eat here, but stopped in during their Christmas pop-up and absolutely loved the festive theme. The drink we had was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun. It was recommended to us by a local, which always feels like a good sign. Bonus: their water is well-filtered, so no beach water taste!

Make a reservation to get an inside table! The Christmas overlay is a great addition to Night of Lights in St. Augustine. Near the plaza area and this restaurant has the “Miracle” Christmas menu. Didn’t know we’d need a reservation luckily we found spots at the bar. Drinks served in festive mugs that you can purchase. Our bartender was great!

Such a fun and unique spot! The drinks were great, and the staff made the whole experience so enjoyable we stayed past closing. Brandon was an awesome bartender who made the night even better. The decor was perfect for spooky season, and I love that they go all out for Halloween! Also I thought the bathroom sink was so cool!

Absolutely beautiful meal from start to finish! Awesome service from Ethan who has great recommendations and timing. We enjoyed sharing a few appetizers that were each awesome. Lovely cocktails and a great atmosphere. The pop-up Halloween vibe was unexpected and so fun! We'll definitely be back and explore more of the menu.

The drinks were really good—so good that we may or may not still be feeling the Christmas spirit. I had the Run Run Reindeer and the Nice Shot, while my husband went full festive chaos with the Snowball Old Fashioned and the Naughty Shot. No regrets all around. We also bought the Naughty/Nice shot cups because they were ridiculously cute and clearly necessary. Would absolutely come back for the drinks, the vibes, and possibly more adorable glassware🎄🍸

Went here for the Black Lagoon Pop Up and was shocked by how many vegan options they had marked on the menu! And everything was so delicious! We got black hummus, banh mi, brussels sprouts, and a curry butternut soup! They also had so many cool tiki mugs, we bought the zombie mermaid mug. Will be back for their Christmas pop up event!

A group of 5 of us had a delicious lunch at forgotten tonic this afternoon! Cool vibe with lots of good choices on the menu. Our server was very friendly and made an effort to chat with us about our trip. When we went to leave, we noticed it had started raining, and the staff made sure to let us know we could stay and even sit at the bar if we wanted to. Great experience all around!

Incredible! We planned to only come here for drinks, but ended up staying for appetizers as well. Every bite was delicious! Our server could not have been any nicer. We ended up talking to her for quite a while. This place was jammed on a Saturday night, but our service was absolutely excellent. I highly recommend the deconstructed artichoke dip. I’ve never had anything like it, and it was absolutely incredible! Super fun and creative spin on drinks too.

Try this small but heavy hitting restaurant, revolving drink menu with great drinks, amazing appetizers and sides (try the brussel sprouts.. seriously, I could scream from a mountain top about how good they were) The entries could have better options but I think you could fill up on apps and sides 😂 I love my light up Christmas hat and post card I got for coming during the Christmas menu.

Had an amazing evening at the Forgotten Tonic. The drinks were creative and well made. The food was to die for, we are considering replacing pumpkin pie with pumpkin bread pudding at Thanksgiving this year thanks to our experience. The whole night was enhanced by our lovely server Tamara. She was professional, knowledgeable, and an absolute angel. We will be returning in the future and recommending The Forgotten Tonic to anybody who cares to listen.

Our server Nick was friendly and efficient. Food and drinks were timely and tasty. Nice casual comfortable ambiance.

Fun restaurant and bar with loads of atmosphere and fun vibes. We were seated outside on a warm but tolerable evening. We watched the horse driven carriages drive as we enjoyed our meal. Extensive menu for both food and drinks. Service was professional. My companions ordered the celery soup and enjoyed it thoroughly as part of their meal. We tried a variety of dishes and were not disappointed by any of them. We also especially liked the fried artichoke.

My husband and I had an incredible meal. The mussels were the best we've ever had. And the drink menu was super! Loved the fun Christmas mugs.

Really enjoyed our meal and drinks at Forgotten Tonic! We sat at the bar and Janine took great care of us. Delicious cocktails (had a tequila drink off the special menu benefiting a friend) and the fish dip, which was excellent, as well. Loved the vibe too!

My favorite bar in Saint Augustine! The food looks great, but haven’t actually eaten here yet.. The raising Cane cocktail were both wonderful.

Loved your restaurant. Our server was extremely accommodating. Would love to see pillows available to sit on for us short people. Hope to visit again in the future.

Ate here on a Saturday morning with a large group of friends on vacation. Our waitress was incredibly kind and super informative about the menu. We ordered the half Caesar salad (one with chicken and one without), fries, bruschetta, and burgers. Everyone was incredibly happy with the food, the fries were ridiculously good!! The Just Dance cocktail was pretty great too. We really liked the vibe of the place and the menus were leather bound so that’s cool. Overall a fantastic experience!

This was an absolutely delightful experience. We truly enjoyed every aspect of our visit. The manager was LOVELY! The bartender Andrew was outstanding. The atmosphere was enchanting. We highly recommend and will be back everytime we come to town..

First of all, the food was AMAZING. Everyone loved every dish we ordered. I had the crunchy artichoke dish, and it was the best I ever had. We ordered the Christmas specialty drinks, and they were so festive and yummy. The service was amazing from the moment we walked in. Our server was Phoebe, and she was attentive, helpful, and matched our table's vibe. The restaurant was decorated so beautifully. Sidenote: I posted a photo on my personal page, and so many of my friends commented that they love this place and also had a great experience! Can't wait to come back!

We had an AMAZING lunch here! The food was fresh and HOT and everything was cooked perfectly. We had a party of 5 and everyone got different dishes and loved every bite. The Miracle pop up was super cute and fun and always a nice surprise! I love the Old Fashioneds because they aren't too sweet and they are always consistently good. Atmosphere here is CUTE!! Even without the holiday decorations I could tell the space is great. I felt super cozy and comfy here and our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Wonderful place! Highly recommend. Food , atmosphere and service were fantastic!! This is the most decorated bar/restaurant in the area. We went during Halloween( see our pic below), and soon we are heading back during the Xmas holidays ! Must make a reservation since it is so popular!!

What an amazing hidden gem in St. Augustine! My fiancé and I grabbed a bite to eat here during happy hour last Wednesday, and it was a wonderful end to an already great day. We sat outside at one of the shaded tables on a quiet street. Everything we ordered was delicious - the egg rolls and caesar salad in particular were standout! Shout out to the entire team for being attentive, engaging, and fun throughout our meal. We'll be back!

Sophisticated place to celebrate any life event. Very good service, our waitress was very professional. I have to applaud her for not touching the inside of my plate and top of my glass, it is rare in US to find someone that professional in a regular restaurant. Food was delicious, trout was juicy and cooked through which was perfect reminded me of home and Mediterranean cooking. Butter and bread were devine and olives were out of this world. This pasta was also great and everyone at the table loved their food. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing but upbeat enough that people can listen to good Music and have meaningful conversation. Definitely coming back. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.

Again beautifully decorated for Christmas but the menu was so good I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat and it was delicious hope to go back again before the end of the trip.

This was another fabulous find by my wife. We started off with a fresh watermelon salad, garlic humus, and focaccia bread for starters. For main courses we ordered Bella chicken and the pork chops. Man let me tell you that pork chop had some powerful flavors with some surprising succulent collard greens that almost competed with the chop as the star of the plate. I would highly recommend this place if you are in town visiting, and ask for Nick. He was server and was very attentive and helpful with the menu selection.

My husband and I are locals and have been coming here for the last two years. Finally getting around to giving a post. This place has awesome atmosphere, excellent food and the choice of two bars. Staff are great. We’ve had lunch and dinners here. Highly recommend. Order the fish sandwich which was amazing and husband had the burger which he claimed is the best one around.

During our visit to Saint Augustine, the cashier at the Saint Augustine Distillery highly recommended we check out Forgotten Tonic. When my friend asked her, "If you could choose just one place in town for drinks and a bite, where would you go?" Without hesitation, she said Forgotten Tonic – so naturally, we had to give it a try! We began with the Baked Brie, which was absolutely delicious! While the dish was fantastic, I personally would have preferred slices of baguette over the crackers, as the sesame seeds somewhat detracted from the brie's flavor. That said, it was still a wonderful appetizer. For my entrée, I had the Chef’s Cut – a bit on the pricier side, however, it was a rich, flavorful plate. My friend opted for the Chicken Thigh Sandwich, which he enjoyed and said was tasty. The bartenders were not only friendly but clearly skilled at their craft, adding to the overall great atmosphere. We had an excellent time and would highly recommend Forgotten Tonic to anyone visiting the area. It’s definitely a must-try spot!

They did a FANTASTIC jib! I asked them to make the evening special for my son’s birthday on Christmas Eve and they not only met but EXCEEDED my expectations. We had the best time! We were not rushed out of the restaurant, there was a special surprise waiting for all of us the table and the food was amazing! I even picked up a few fun souvenirs. I really hope you share with them how happy we all were and what a great evening it was…THANK YOU!!!

Excellent burger 🍔 Such a stylish interior & great vibe. We sat outside with our dogs, the patio is on a brick street with a fun, unique feel. Friendly staff. Grits were pedestrian, they could use a remix maybe a touch of Tennessee. House salad very good. The menu had so many choices that looked amazing. Worth a visit. Thank you!

So, so good! I was visiting local friends and they treated me to Forgotten Tonic, an immediate favorite! The decor is moody and gorgeous, absolutely delicious cocktails and food, and very kind staff. I even love using the bathrooms there because they are just so pretty! I have now been three times and will continue to make it a staple on my Saint Augustine visits 🥰

Overall excellent experience! We opted into several appetizers and a side; all of which were delicious. The crispy artichokes, though, were amazing! Highly recommend and will definitely return. Be sure to make a reservation as it fills up quickly.

Oh wow let me tell you popular for good reason. Get a reservation. Chef Izzy was so helpful with vegan choices and guided us through drinks and food. Brandon behind the bar was knowledeable on wines and especialy fortifieds. Food was amazing super clean and staff was smiling all night n having fun. It was a real treat and all the value is there.

We stopped by here on a sunny day in St. Augustine for lunch outside with our pup. It’s located off the beaten path just a few steps from the historic St George. The creative craft cocktails were delicious and we ordered the steak sandwich to share. It was a generous portion with crispy French fries. Our server was friendly and attentive. We returned the following day and enjoy happy hour cocktails with a group of friends. It’s a great spot!

J

Our server James has been incredibly helpful and the bartender made some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. Also, their attentiveness to food allergens is the best I’ve seen. They are clearly passionate and care about their craft. We had the best time!

Forgotten Tonic is hands down one of the best restaurants in downtown St. Augustine. From the moment you’re greeted at the front desk through the entire dining experience, the service is consistently warm and welcoming. Our server, Isabel, has waited on us before and always provides true 5-star service. We started with the tuna tartare, which was beautifully prepared with an excellent balance of flavors, highlighted by subtle notes of orange and strawberries. For dinner, we enjoyed the mussels (my favorite), burgers, and the burrata sandwich. Hats off to Chef Ash and the kitchen staff for their consistency and outstanding flavors across every dish. The bar staff are true mixologists—creative, consistent, and impressive. The cocktails are an amazing blend of flavors. We absolutely love Forgotten Tonic and always bring our family and friends here. I highly recommend not missing this hidden gem!

The food was great! My husband got the shrimp and grits and I had the Bahn Mi. For drinks, my husband had the godfather improved and I had daybreak. They were perfectly and freshly crafted. I did not really enjoy the chia seed pudding. Not sweet enough and it tasted as if it had turned. Our waitress was attentive and wonderful. The atmosphere was a vibe and the music was super chill. If the chia seed pudding had been better I would have given 5 stars.

Hidden away from the main street of the Historic District in St. Augustine, Forgotten Tonic is a unique cocktail bar that’s well worth seeking out. We visited on a busy Saturday night, and the place was packed, so it did take a bit of time to get a drink. They have two bars serving craft cocktails that are just as creative as the ambiance itself. The atmosphere feels like an old-world European cottage, with warm amber lighting and vintage décor throughout. One standout detail is how the cocktails are served in adorable, curated glassware and mugs—especially during the Christmas season. It’s really fun to see the holiday theme carried through into the drink menu. Prices are on the higher end, but the experience and creativity make it a memorable stop.

Cute restaurant! Nice place to sit outside and decorated nicely for Christmas. Bruschetta was nicely presented and tasty! Comes on 2 crunchy on the outside, but toasty on the inside loaves instead of sliced crustini. Pickled platter was good, but bread or crackers should be included not upcharged. Sangria and beer was good. Only can beer, but served with cold glass. Tap water was served without ice. Was not cold.

G
Gregory Zegers

The atmosphere was esthetically pleasing and very inviting. The food was tasty and unique. There was also a wonderful drink menu dedicated to a fellow local bartender who has fallen on hard times medically. Though we only had one drink from the menu, it was great. The only area that could have been improved was the service. At the beginning of our visit they were more attentive, but as the night went on and the restaurant began to fill up the service got slower. All in all, would definitely recommend.

Read the menu carefully. It's a great place to visit. Food is different which i like and the drinks were nice. The server was a little overbearing. I think you'd enjoy the visit so enjoy!!

R
Ric Rini

Hopping atmosphere with trendy looks. This is definitely a popular place and I would highly recommend that you get a reservation and not walk up. It's crowded and a bit noisy. We found the food and cocktails to be pretty good. Wouldn't categorize it in the fantastic category, but definitely solid. The service is very friendly, courteous and helpful with menu items and cocktail selection . Dessert options are also pretty darn good and all of the apps and entrees met our expectation.
