Not too bad. Service was good, food hit the spot and decent drinks. I'm all in.
This place was very pleasant! The views you ask? Stunning!! Men of culture are right at home here! The food is also enjoyable.
I have been here now a few times and the stove is excellent while the food is perfection for BBQ. I don't believe I have been to a better place for BBQ chicken breasts and this last time I ordered the sweet potato fries and they were outstanding. The only complaint I have is they are full sometime and the wait can be awhile.
I've actually visited a few other Wood Ranch restaurants but this one happens to be one of my favorites. The staff is absolutely 💯 courteous, helpful and polite. Amazing sweet potato fries, peach cooler and a tasty rack of ribs. A must try! Dinner time is my favorite, loving the outdoor night time ambiance
The food here was impressive. I got two bbq beef ribs and smoked brisket. Meat was all melt in your mouth tender and genuinely the best BBQ I have ever eaten. Wonderful and attentive wait staff coupled with a cozy atmosphere makes this a must-have anytime we travel to L.A.
Wonderful location in SCV. All the food was amazing and no wonder, with their toes to Rattler's.
We have rediscovered this place after not dinning here for a while. Steak was incredible. Mac and Cheese was also a hit. We will be back!
If you are a meat lover this is the place. I had the brisket with roasted broccoli and a baked potato. Everything was stellar. The BBQ sauce on the side was spicy, which was a good thing. Service was great, they have a lot of servers. The ambiance was rustic with a lot of wood everywhere, but it seemed high end.
Tri Tip steak was as good as they all are saying. The side salad was very good as well, all highly recommended!
Restaurant was nice and clean. Super nice atmosphere. Customer service was great. Wait time was descent. Many options on the many but not overwhelming. Price range was acceptable. Let's get to the good part.. The food.. We ordered mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, coslaw, bbq ribs, bbq chicken, (yes I know) and the brisket, they give you complimentary rolls and butter omg! The food was hot and delicious.. I don't necessarily like that they put peanuts in the coleslaw I had never even heard of that but I took the peanuts out and the coleslaw was DELICIOUS... It just had that flavor. All of the meat was nice juicy and delicious I totally recommend this place. That is a yes for me.
Nice to enjoy the entire meal from fresh bread to entre, everything was exceptional.... 👌
Good food good area plenty of parking nice staff it almost doesn't get better than this place
One of the Best BBQ places! Awesome atmosphere and nice people are working here. My food was 👌 delicious! I got brisket, it was little spicy, right the way I love it! Coleslaw was so fresh and tasty. Also mashed potatoes is good. Another meal was fire! Perfect cooked meat and great sauce.
Food was okay, but our server was excellent! My husband is a server so I love to document good experiences. Zach served us for lunch today. He was very present though we were his only outdoor table, knowledgeable and kind. Excellent service!!
Anna is fantastic and made our experience very enjoyable! Highly recommend the great food and excellent service!
Food was as expected and service was on par, No complaints will definitely eat here again. Thanks
My husband & I ordered from the petite portions & we loved it! It was just enough for us. Our server was very attentive & courteous. We love Wood Ranch.
Wood Ranch was a very pleasurable experience. The staff were cordial & accommodating, friendly and attentive to our needs. The tri tip was delicious and very tender. The salmon and spare ribs, ordered by others, were very good as well and cooked to their satisfaction
Always a great experience dining here. Never a long wait and always amazing choices for lunch or dinner. Caring & pleasant employees attending to your needs. This is our #1 choice for BBQ!
Excellent experience. Staff was very warm , friendly, and provided fantastic service with a smile. From entering the building to paying the bill. Best service I have received in very long time. Had the lunch special. 2 brisket sliders, Mac n cheese, and salad. Food was outstanding. Lunch special has options ,so it's not limited to what I ordered. Thank you Wood Ranch in Stevenson Ranch!
went there for New Years Eve dinner and boy, they were outstanding. Great service, our waitress was sweet and courteous. Food was awesome, cooked to perfection. The dessert was remarkable too😄 Only negative was that some of the employees standing near the entrance wear their mask below their nose. I wanted to say something but... left it alone
We walked in and were seated immediately. Our server, Caden, was great. He was right on time in his service. I had the 10oz. tri-tip. It was cooked to perfection. We will be visiting again soon with our 2, steak loving grandsons.
Come for the meat and stay for the garlic rolls! I had the ribs and tritip with fresh coleslaw and sweet potato fries. I would've consumed my plate ( with utensils), it was that delicious! Highly recommend!
I had dinner with my family for Mother's Day. We were told the wait would be about 45-60 minutes, but we were called in after just 10 minutes. We enjoyed some BBQ ribs and chicken with Peanut Coleslaw and BBQ beans, and it was heavenly. The garlic rolls were to die for. The service was great. I highly recommend Wood Ranch BBQ.
This Wood Ranch location has been here for over 30 years and holds a lot of nostalgia for my husband, so what better place to celebrate his birthday than here? I came on a Sunday evening, and there was no wait. I ordered the baby back ribs, which come with two sides. I almost always choose the baked potatoes because they're my favorite. For the broccoli, you can select either steamed or roasted. You can't go wrong with the buttery rolls served at the beginning of each meal. Our waitress was wonderful and patient. I can’t wait to come back for our next special occasion. Shared parking lot behind the restaurant as well as street parking.
Decided on a whim to try this places as I was traveling through. It absolutely did not disappoint! Chicken breast is one of the hardest proteins to cook and it was perfect! The servers were attentive and helped make hard decisions when trying to decide on what to eat. Give this place a try if you are looking for BBQ in California
Wood Ranch seems to be extremely popular as the restaurant was PACKED!!! There was a wait but we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to ge seated. We enjoyed the food. Wood Ranch has a soup that has mushrooms in it with chunks if beef and seems to be beef broth based. I'm not a mushroom lover but this soup was goooooood!!! The rolls (garlic bread) they initially serve comes with a barbecue sauce dip 😋. At first I was thinking that dipping a roll in barbecue sauce was kinda strange but after I dipped it in Wood Ranch's barbecue sauce, my taste buds said, "Dip it Again!!!" My girlfriend ordered some sliders which I didn't eat but she said they were good but she ate two bowls of soup and couldn't eat all 3 sliders. Therefore, she requested a to go box and took them home to eat later. They looked delicious though. I included a pic of them with this review. I ordered a Buckeye Burger which was good. It was BIG! The customer service was awesome. The restaurant was clean. The atmosphere was electric as there was a very diverse crowd present. We spent about $65. We find it reasonable for the taste of the food combined with the memorable experience. The restaurant isn't too far from Interstate 5. There is plenty of parking. Easy access in and out of the restaurant. There are other shopping centers across the parking lot from Wood Ranch. It is in the hear of a shopping square. You will enjoy yourself 😉. Thank me later!!!
We had a large group and the staff handled it flawlessly. Everything came out together and all the orders were 100% accurate. I had the pulled pork meal and it was fantastic. I had enough leftovers for another full meal. Will be back for sure.
We had lunch yesterday and Kylie was our server! She was super attentive and on it so quick! Loved how nice she was 💜 would recommend to sit w her . Thanks for yummy food
Our waitress was top tier. The food was so good. Best steak I have had an extremely long time cooked to perfection!! Thank you 👩🍳 chef. Everything was so good! Everyone was so friendly from the entrance we will be back. 10 🌟
BBQ done right. Emily was on top of her game. Great service, she was always checking how everything was. The smoked brisket was awesome, chicken breast was tender and delicious. And let's not forget the steaks. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. Prices were moderate and the service was great.
I was looking for a place to do my food reviews. One thing I have not done is bbq. There are not many of them out here in California. Without further ado the food. This bbq spot is ths best bbq place I have ever been to. I orded the pulled pork burger. At first glance it was a mountain of food. It appeared to be ready to consume with a large appetite. Don't let the burger fool you, it is all pulled pork no ground beef. With 3 large Pickles, Coslaw, bbq sauce with a hint of tangy, sweet and a little bit of heat. You get a side so I chose the mac and cheese and ordered the Liquid Candy Hazy IPA. It truly was the perfect pair. The meat was tender, with mesquite wood smoked for 9hrs, goodness you can taste with every bite. They also had a cherry Chipotle thick sauce I asked on the side and incorporated it with the sandwich along with the mac a cheese. One bite sent my friend and I shock of food bliss. The second dish was the beef rips slow cooked and smoked with cherry almond wood for 13 hours. It was so tender you don't need a knife. It had a balance of tender meat, cherry maple flavor was sweet and a bit of heat. All the things you expect from a back yard bbq has come to life at this restaurant. The vibe were chill, a little on the dark side with the lighting. Our waitress was very helpful and on point answered our question and was fun to talk too.
My wife and I visit this Wood Ranch location yesterday to grab lunch when we were in the area. We found parking just fine since this restaurant is in a plaza with many parking spots. When we walked inside, you'll notice that this place is smaller that other Wood Ranch location. We got seated quick at the bar area so I was able to watch the basketball game. Our waiter Kenan was amazing, he was attentive and friendly with us during our visit. I got the Tri Tip steak with fries and my wife got the Asian chicken salad. My tri tip was cooked perfectly at medium and was delicious. My wife thought her salad was okay but it wasn't her favorite.
Great break spot to get off the 5. Absolute best sweet potato fries I’ve have ever eaten! Seriously. Lightly crisp on the outside, fluffy and cooked perfectly inside. Not over salted. Friendly and efficient service. Food is really good! We tried baby backs and Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich. Very good!
We always get amazing chicken salads, baked potato’s and of course awesome rolls. The service is always top notch, friendly and attentive. The restaurant is always clean. Can’t say enough good things. Prices have gone up but I don’t complain because the quality is still good and so are the portions.
We met up with family on Dec 7th @7, Everyone’s Food was delicious, my meat was cooked perfectly. I even ordered an Asian Chicken style salad to go for the next day. (Which was also amazing). The restaurant was not over crowded, no one rushed us along and the buttered rolls were warm and lovely. It has been a few weeks since & I’m still thinking about it enough to want to leave a review. Thank you for the memorable family meal.
I never get barbecue delivered, but I did this time and before I get anything delivered, I overthink everything look at all the reviews and it takes me at least 45 minutes lol. The food was excellent baby back ribs steamed broccoli like really good. It took a while for the Uber driver to get to me and it was still warm and delicious. I would highly recommend this place and in fact I’m gonna go into the restaurant in a few days and order some more great food
We were a party of 10, went in to celebrate my mom's birthday on Veterans day. We made reservations as we knew it would be a very busy. Service was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, couldn't get enough. My family and I will be coming back, their staff is super friendly and attentive.
We had a great experience at Wood Ranch! My family and I were seated immediately, and our waitress Emily was great. Drinks came out promptly, and she even brought fresh rolls with barbecue sauce right away. They were a little greasy but absolutely delicious. For starters, we had hot wings and the spinach artichoke dip with chips and salsa, everything came out quickly and tasted great. For dinner, we tried the BBQ chopped salad, sliders, and the BBQ tri-tip sandwich. The salad was fresh and flavorful. The tri-tip sandwich, though, was the real star, easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat was sliced thin so it didn’t pull out when you bit into it, the roll had just the right crunch with a soft center, and the barbecue sauce tied it all together perfectly. Absolute perfection. The kids’ sliders were average, about a 6/10, but they did the job. The broccoli side was plain but cooked well. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great service and amazing food. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Great BBQ place. I could eat there every day and be happy. In fact on a recent trip I ate there 4 days in a row. The food is top notch quality. The staff is on it. The BBQ sauce they use for the ribs is very yummy. I recommend the short ribs. Thier fries are an excellent side. The chocolate cake is an excellent dessert.
Best tri tip around. Always friendly, attentive and attractive staff. However do not sit in the bar area unless you don't want to converse at your table. The bar patrons can be very noisy.

I have to say the food is amazing mac&cheese was really thick with cheese. Both baby back ribs and Tri tip where tender and full of favor. Great bbq places to eat it is a little pricey but worth it. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is bc I felt like are waitress was very rude and it was bc we're Hispanic. when I seen her interact with her another customers she treated them very differently.
Memorial Day weekend a Sunday after church services. Yes, pre- reservation for 10 Adults we had to wait 5 minutes before being seated. In the back part of the restaurant, it was obvious that they only had to set the table while we waited in the very small entrance area. When we were directed to our table in the rear without a window view, there was a family with small children and a baby with stroller combination carrier type. Cramped into two separate tables: 1 for 4 people and the other table 5 folks. I must say the the waitress was prompt and knowledgeable about the menu and the best way to order for one's money excellent. The food arrived hot, and the salads and drinks were perfectly served. There was no confusion on whom ordered what excellent. Paying bill was no problem we paid for what we ordered individually. As a family, we normally tip generously because most of us have worked in the food industry as college students, and we KNOW what tipping means to the waiters/ servers. We were given the option to pay as a group or individually. The folks that had chosen this establishment said to the waitress individually, "Please, no problem. As the waitress passed out the slips of papers to pay. I noticed that they had already included the gratuity per person. Okay, I understand that is done for a certain number of guests. However, there are more personnel involved with the SERVICE of a group of 5 or more people. Since they whom ever that was took it upon themselves to count what I would give for table service along with the 'busboy/men' that assisted her I would have been kindly to include them in the " tipping " amount. What concerned me THATS after we had just started our deliveries of our meal.. I heard and looked around that the section was void of PEOPLE where they had disappeared. The other sections in this establishment were buzzing with human voices. That why I rated this place 3 stars. Valencia Ca I will not be back. that's my truth! The host who booked this location handed the waitress cash money.
I've only had salads here but they are phenomenal! NEVER had I had a problem with one. Always great lettuce and everything else that comes with it. Tried the spinach and artichoke dip, it was good but the seasoning on the chips was too much. Would be better without. I only got water and they refill it with room temp water which melts your ice fast, leaving you with room temp water for the reminder of your meal and time spent there.
The tropical iced tea tasted horrible. But the try tip was the best.I ever had. And the waitress was very accommodating.
I had the brisket. It was good and had great flavor. Service was okay. We had to ask for refills on our drinks.
If you're looking for a great restaurant with affordable cost and quick service, this is the place. The food tastes great and you won't have a long wait. The string onions on the appetizer are amazing and all the BBQ dips are good.
Share a tri tip with Mac and cheese side with my wife. Food was hot and ready to eat. My boys ordered the baby back ribs and buffalo chicken wings as a appetizer. Very satisfied with the food. I wish they offer more for the price we paid. Our waitress greeted us with a great big smile. My hostess was polite and beautiful. You will not be disappointed
Came here on the weekend and it was very busy, but my husband and I were able to grab a seat at the bar to eat. I had the Asian Chicken Salad and it was delicious. My husband had the buckeye burger and he liked his plate as well. He saw the size and thought he could only eat half, but ended up eating every last bite!
The food was delicious, the fries were crispy, well seasoned, and hot!!, the burger was tasty, juicy and flavorful, their strawberry lemonade was sour but good, our service was really great. Would recommend to go eat there. If you would like to know what I got, it was a Ultimate sandwich with fries.
As soon as you open the door. The fresh scent of wood ranch smoked ovens are inviting you to order BBQ BBQ ANYTHING BBQ....You're just watering to get the menu once you sit down. I ordered quickly, my main dish came quicker after appetizer quickness like a 5 course meal.Everything was delicious and I'm still am amazed at the craft of filled bbq side wedge potatoes the neatness of the stuffed. One thing thou please add warm to them mashed sweet potatoes 😏
First time trying Ranch BBQ & Grill. We decided to order takeout. Our food was prepared perfectly and fast. They have a designated area and door for ordering takeout, which we liked and made faster to order. The Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their foods. We will definitely return to try something else. Great place to eat. The ambiance is nice and comfortable for the entire family. There is also a Bar with surrounding tables with two large televisions for sports.
Grabbed take-out while passing through this area, the Classic burger, mac n cheese for the side. They throw a buttery garlic roll in with any order, which I didn't know but they do it for a very good reason- their rolls are delicious! They cook to order and the burger was perfectly medium rare, good quality meat, crisp fresh veggies, solid bun. Mac n cheese was very creamy, good texture, firm pasta... Soooo... That all looks good on paper, right? I don't want to judge based on a single experience, but that one order on that one afternoon(other than the roll) was lacking in flavor/seasoning. If I had been dining in, pass the salt and pepper please. I'd give this place another shot next time I'm in the area.
Met several friends here for dinner. Service was attentive and prompt. Ordered grilled salmon with peanut slaw. Large portion and perfectly cooked.

The pile of onion rings was salty and stringy, Definitely the delicious baby rack ribs is a must, but the mac and cheese was a processed orange cheese mess. The flag flying outside has been blessed by a Republican and it has a feel of masculinity. The margarita was weak, but the food is filling. The large bar and tvs give off a boisterous and fun neighborhood bar feel and a great place for drinking long past happy hour hours.
Overall had a great experience with my mother at Wood Ranch BBQ in Valencia. We arrived pretty late in the day, got there probably about 8 p.m. ish and fortunately were quickly seated. Are waiter for the night was kind and attentive. She was quick to take our orders and did a fantastic job explaining how some of the entrees on the menu work in regards to portion size. I went with the soup of the day which ended up being yummy mushroom tri-tip soup. For my entree I chose the four meat combo, I chose to brisket, tri-tip, and the beef ribs. I also ordered one of the hot links a la carte. For my sides I chose the loaded mashed potatoes and the fire roasted broccoli. Complimentary bread was brought to the table and it was addicting. It was rather hard not to ask for more haha. Definitely enjoyed the tri-tip mushroom soup, it was nice thick and creamy, not to mention the tri-tip was very tender. I loved the taste of the brisket however the slices that I got were a little too lean for my taste I'm a fan of fatty cuts of brisket. The beef ribs were great, they weren't overly Sauced and had a fair amount of meat. They didn't fall off the bone like I prefer, but they were good nonetheless. The tri-tip is what stood out to me here, I got mine medium and oh man it was great. The taste, how tender it was, it just melted in your mouth. The mashed potatoes tasted good, although surprisingly a little dry? The consistency reminded me of those instant powder type potatoes to be honest. Fire roasted broccoli was fantastic do recommend. Had that satisfying fire-roasted crunch to it. For dessert I gave their warm chocolate cake a shot. I love the taste of the cake but the cake itself was too hard. It was more like a giant brownie with fudge filling then it was a cake. When I think chocolate cake at a barbecue I think something soft warm and spongy.
Tri tip was great but the menu said 2 sides when ordered was told have to pay for sides Also ordered shedding onions they were burnt and hard Expected more as your are paying a lot Will not buy their shedded onions again
Meh… honestly its not that great. You pretty much would only go here after day drinking at the golf course to come drink alcohol and look at the young waitresses. The food is ok but has a lot of room for improvement. It’s not gross but it’s not that good. Super busy. The WR blonde ale was pretty good, but im pretty sure it was just a salty crew
Pretty much every person i know in town said I had to try this restaurant. The restaurant which has been in business several years had dated and somewhat tacky interior. Food was mediocre at best. The sides were better than the steak I ordered. Friendly attentive staff. I pretty sure I won't be coming back.
Felt more like a waiter/waitress social date club or get together rather than a business. So many just standing around loudly chit chatting and laughing while customers were waiting. Prices are definitely higher, portions are definitely less. The food was good, although there is a noticeable difference in portion size and one small side with the meal. The smaller portions sure leave a lot of empty space on the plate and results in an immediate negative impression for the price you are paying. For a group of 4 adults, our lunch bill was $174 including the tip. That’s pretty high even these days. It is unlikely we will return to Wood Ranch. The value is just not there anymore.
Placed an in-person takeout order. It took 2.5 times as long as estimated for the order to be ready. We ordered 4 beef ribs, brisket, broccoli, a loaded baked potato and three salads. We explained the food was to be enjoyed over 2-3 days. First, they put croutons on each of the salads, so they became soggy and had to be tossed. The Ceasars salad dressing was so thick and fishy we ended up tossing the salad as it was gross. The worst thing was the salt overload on the brisket and broccoli. Truly, so much salt it was disgusting. We tossed the broccoli and should've tossed the salty brisket because it was also saturated in fat and grease. These were not brisket slices, but bits and pieces (aka leftover trimmed pieces). We can safely say the ribs, the chopped chicken and tritip salad, the garden salad and garlic rolls were each delicious. By the way, the order was over $140.00 not including tip. Way too expensive for rookie kitchen mistakes!
This place is about as middle-of-the-road as it gets. Food was priced a little high for what you get. My chicken seemed like it was under a heat lamp for a while. A little chewy and dry. Mac and cheese sauce was almost certainly from a can. Spent about 40 dollars per person which seemed like 10/person too much. Servers were pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere was that kinda boring modern steakhouse feel. Like an Outback Steakhouse by a highway offramp. I probably wouldn't go again.

Visited on a Tuesday. They have a wine special that seems to bring in a crowd but were lacking in bar tenders. Our drinks came after the appetizer. Food was ok, beef ribs were dry and a bit too burnt for my taste. Mac and cheese was cheesy but didn't stand out to me. Walked past three hostesses on our way out who didn't bother interrupting their conversation to say thank you or good bye. I may try another spot next time I visit Santa Clarita.
In contrast, our experience at Wood Ranch was not satisfactory. The waiter’s attentiveness was lacking, as he was preoccupied with the table next to ours and failed to acknowledge our presence. He never returned to check on our food, and we requested several sides, which were never brought to our table. Instead, he spent most of his time conversing with his coworkers at the bar and the front door. Despite the limited customer traffic, the waiter had ample time to attend to our needs. While we appreciate the quality of the food, we anticipate receiving improved service in future visits. We kindly request that this review not be used to tarnish the reputation of the establishment, but rather to encourage them to enhance their service standards.
I think I may set my expectations a little high and especially for Barbecue. I don't mind paying anything for good barbecue but I do mind paying to much for barbecue that isn't that good. This restaurant is just that. Priced to high for a plate cooked to liking of somebody else instead of the way I ask. I always order medium rare cooked tri tip. Lighter pink throughout with a warm red center. I understand slow smoked meat. Deep smoke ring good flavor. What I got was no smoke ring and brown grey throughout. I will give them that it was juicy but over cooked for my liking. When I reluctantly sent it back I had a cooler piece of meat that they claimed was tempt st medium rare. Ok as if people don't understand as it gets cooler it doesn't get any rarer. What started just overcooked tri tip then seemed to get personal when the waitress stated that "if I didn't like how it was cooked I could go to the kitchen and see its red under the lightsf myself" and proceeded to charge me $4.33 for a lemonade.I I would have come back to try something else because the mac n cheese was good but I will not be returning for the attitude.
They missed the mark today. Brisket was so dry. Terrible. Wife’s steak salad , the lettuce was all old and wilted. Usually this place is great. Not today
My first time going to Wood Ranch it was okay I'm gonna say below average. You order a meal and you get 1 side dish most places are 2 sides you don't even get a salad with your order that's extra, paid $93.00 for 2 meals for me and my wife. Service was disappointing I had to ask a couple times for refills of ice tea and sugar there is none at the table you have to ask for it, it wasn't busy at all so I don't get it. Something else this restaurant needs a thorough cleaning! There were small kids handprints on the glass cases where the wine display is by your table, the walls next to my table were dirty as well again handprints that had grease on them. I used the men's restroom that needed cleaning the back of the door the paint is peeling off it's worn pretty disgusting why not just go ahead and paint that? The booths are worn at the bottom they need updated painted whatever,on the way out the throw carpet by the front door was disgusting looks like it hadn't been vacuumed for days and yet there's 3 girls standing around that are hostess cannot one of them grab a vacuum or whatever they use to clean the carpet? Makes me wonder what the the kitchen looks like if it's unsanitary like the dining area. Again it was not busy at all so to me there's no excuse. So yeah I won't be back.
Although I understand beef and pork are the stars of the barbecue universe, any BBQ cook worth their salt knows how to prepare chicken. The chicken breast I received was underseasoned and overcooked. It was so dry I had to get more BBQ sauce to pour over. In addition, the roasted broccoli was lifeless and flavorless except for the obvious charring. The mashed sweet potatoes were the saving grace of my plate. This is my first time visiting this establishment and it gives a high end vibe but the food is much to be desired. Save your money and go to a real BBQ place that will leave you feeling satisfied and wanting more.
I don’t like feeling uncomfortable eating at a restaurant. Where they follow African American people. Very uncomfortable or watch us the whole time
Made reservation for mother’s day. Was seated under a jet turbine fan they call ceiling fan, blowing full blast directly on the head. I never encountered such an absurdity in any restaurant. When I asked the hostess to move to another empty table, I was told I can’t and would have to wait another 30 minutes. There were 2 empty tables immediately next to ours and we were denied to relocate from under the atrocious jet fan. Hostess need a lesson in customer service. I highly doubt I would visit that establishment again. Take caution of the fans in the outside sitting!
It was very sad the way things are going this world. I just want to start off by saying that my family and myself felt really uncomfortable at Wood Ranch barbque in Stevenson Ranch, CA. I had made reservations for my family party of 8. On March 15, 2025 at 4:15 pm. It was special day for us. We arrived a little early around 3:50 pm and was told by three ladies that worked the front desk that we were too early and will be seated closer to our reservations. So we waited people would come in with a family of 6 people that did not have reservations i can hear them saying they did not have reservations and was seated right away. So around 4:05pm I asked again can we be seated now it was cold outside she looked at me and said no wait 5 more minutes. So we had to wait. And when we were called to be seated we where taking in room that was pretty much outside in a covered area and the whole area was empty we where sat in the side it was a little cold. I can't understand if that room was all by itself all the time we had to wait to be seated. I felt treat different then the other guest. And yes we were Mexicans. The waitress was nice she was the only was that treated us like a guest. The food was good. But it was sad 😔 that we were treated different. I guess Wood Ranch treats other people different. My family had never been there so I told them it's a good place. But it change. We will never go back again. Wood Ranch needs to have workers that need to treat all quest the same. Very disrespectful and disappointed. NEVER AGAIN!!
The biscuits were rock hard and obviously several days old. The meat was dry and overcooked. We ordered the tri tip medium and it was well done and then some. The pulled pork had huge chunks of inedible black crisps. Corn had an aftertaste. Brought up our issues to management and they gave us platitudes without action. Maybe they just reheat old stuff for the takeout orders. Never buying from this location again.
I am the owner of 4TH Demention Construction and a local guide for Google maps. My review 👎 I came when it was not much people the I waited at my table for 12 mins no water no nothing. I just got done with a long walk with my service dog and we were so thirty. I even put my had up for 5 min straight and was ignored. What kind of restaurant would welcome you in then choose not to help there customers. The staff was giving him fives to each other laughing and joking while we were ignored. I finally stood up at 13 min and walked to the center of the isle to let them know I was thirsty and have not been helped for quite some time. It was only until I started taking pictures I was noticed. I was kindly asked by a server form the other end of the restaurant if I was giving a review, and I kindly mentioned that I was a local guide for Google maps and I was concerned about the help they gives there customers and took my business else where. We really wanted BBQ then and was not impressed by the staff. Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill you get ⭐ and a 👎 remember to impress your customers you have to be there for there needs and they surly was not met. Attached is picture of how empty the restaurant was so you can see how disappointed I was.
I spent over $100, they got my order wrong, when I asked about the order I was told steak dinners only get 1 side, when I spoke with the manager, Olivia, she tried to blame me for the issue, she said tri-tip isn't a steak. she was disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. She never apologized for the bad experience and the mistake on the take out order. Terrible manager and poor service from the staff not trying to fix the issue while I was there. All it would have taken was another side of mac & cheese to make it right!
Updating my review based on my 3-10-24 visit. I live over 500 miles - yes 500 miles away - from this location. I have made a point to stop here going I to So. Cal. as well as leaving So. Cal. And, to have driven 500 miles to find that they have changed the roll policy is awful. The bbq combo plate only has two options now, and the portions have been cut down as well. This is not a mom and pop restaurant. It's a chain. To make these changes, to the menu is very unfortunate (and slightly upsetting). I would be lying if I said I wasn't coming back, but they way customers are treated is not right.
