Their menu has a lot of great sounding items, but I love the pulled pork sandwich basket so much that I can't resist it in order try something else. I did try the chopped brisket sandwich once and it was great too! The BBQ sauce is really good.

Had the family rib meal and it was great. Plenty of food to fill us up and then some. Great fall off the bone meat with good sauce. Sides were great as well. During this time, only able to do the pick-up option, but the inside of the restaurant was really nice and decently sized despite the modest appearance from the street. It took this whole "support small businesses" movement to get us to finally try this place down the street, but I'm glad we did. We will be back.

Great place to meet one on one or with a group. Great food served quickly and portion sizes are not extreme either way. Full service bar is up and out of the way and there's plenty of seating for a small as the place appears from the outside. We had a group of 57 comfortably mingling from table to table enjoying the ambiance, food and conversation. Look forward to taking my wife there for our new Bar-B-Que joint that will be closer to home. Especially after Spring Creek closed over on Midway awhile back.

This new BBQ place is great. The chicken is moist and flavorful with just the right amount of pepper. The brisket is good although a tab on the dry side. The sausage links are juicy with the right amount of spice. Everyone from the manager/owner to the wait staff are friendly and attentive. A sure thing, put on your list of places to go.

I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. The food is absolutely amazing

Stopped by last Saturday (August 26, 2023), for a take home meal and was very amazed at the smoked taste, consistency, and amount of food that was served. Items were brisket, turkey, fried okra, potato salad, and sweet tea! I haven't encountered a meal as tasteful as that in years. 5 stars, two thumbs up, and 10 on a ten scale!

J
Jeff Patton

We had the smoked meatloaf with coleslaw and black bean salad along with a chopped beef sandwich and fries with banana pudding. Really impressed with all of it. We travel around to have barbecue so to give something five stars is pretty rare. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Having a bar inside doesn't hurt anything, beers are cold, whiskey was a solid pour and conversation was nice. We are definitely going back. Owners could not be nicer.

It takes a lot for me to give 5 stars: this place did it for me (to me) in less than 5 minutes!!! I walked in (for the first time) and upon reading the menu --- written on a chalk board above checkout stand --- I knew I wanted "smoked meat loaf" I ordered it and it was great; it became amazing after I put a little of the sauce on it!!! Then I ate slaw and beans ---- amazing as well !!! AND the sweet tea was one of the best I've had!! PLUS the place is very VERY comfortable: cool places to sit and enjoy the food, as well as watch television all over the place (especially at the FULL service bar that is in the place) !!!! ENJOY!!! I did tonight AND know I will numerous times in the future with a big smile !!!

I had just left a place trying food and ran into this restaurant and decided to try it and man oh man I'm glad 😊 I did. Everything I got was on point. The brisket was so tender as well as the ribs 😋🤤. Sorry but I didn't care for the potato salad. Very friendly staff and yes yes I will be coming back for more. Oh my parents really enjoyed it 😁👏🏾👏🏾 and that's speaking volume

The BBQ chicken (bone-in) is incredible! The meat literally falls off the bone. I also enjoyed their pork ribs. I have ordered the baked potato in the past and have been pleased. I noticed that their menu has expanded. They have hamburgers, Frito pie, etc. Great takeout place and the restaurant has a separate bar area next to the dining room.

Austin’s Bar-B-Q in Addison is a great place for Beer&BBQ. The brisket is juicy and full of flavor, and the ribs are tender and delicious. For me it was the great options on Draft beers, atmosphere and the service.

M
Miguel Ur

Quaint little place, nice atmosphere. Live band playing, good vibe. The food’s gonna be a no for me. The ribs and the sausage were very good, but the brisket was dry and flavorless, the mac n cheese was salty, the coleslaw had A LOT of pepper, overwhelming. Kitchen needs to step up their game a little bit.

L
Latrice Okeke

I tried Austin's BBQ for the first time today. Sooo, I ordered the rib plate with collard greens and baked beans. The ribs were very tender, the beans were decent, and the collards greens were great. The rub on the ribs was good, but could have used just a pinch of salt. I am upset that I didn't order an extra side of the collard greens. The portion size was well worth the price. I will definitely try them again. I just wish they had a plate that offered a variety of all their meats.

In Aug 2023 on a Saturday, I just tried their smoked turkey. It is excellent with moist tender meat and smoky. The collards are always good. This time I tried the homemade french fries which had a fresh taste. On the prior Thursday I enjoyed their brisket and ribs again. Following was about three years ago. I'm pleased with Austin's Bar B Que in Addison particularly their ribs and brisket, which were both moist and very flavorful. The ribs had a surprise kick to them, and were cooked to a delicious crunchy bark. How did they do that and still have a moist product? The spicy kick seems to set Austin's apart in my opinion. The brisket was prepared correctly and did not have fat and gristle. They do a nice job on red skin potato salad with a mustard dressing and good jalapeno pinto beans that stood up to the spicy ribs. Wait service was very good with quick service. The portions are large. I left with a package for an additional meal from the two-meat dinner. They offer a good-looking full bar with large screens. Noise from the TVs is not noticeable in the dining area. Interior is beautifully renovated in a comfortable rustic theme. Background music was hip jazz.

I love the meaty ribs they make potato salad just the way my mom used too

Our favorite place to eat good BBQ and play pool. We never had bad service. They have a bar and play good music on the jute box. My wife and I love to come here and relax.

This is a great place in general. I'm not into BBQ in particular, but if it's high quality I do enjoy it. So I tried the chop brisket sandwich and it was delicious. The french fries were good as well. Great friendly service makes it that much better. I would highly recommend to try it out.

I've only had the pork ribs, chicken and the collard greens from 2 orders.. All very good. A small touch of salt elevates the ribs to extraordinary. I almost want to order another pound. I want to try dining in next time. BBQ sauce has a bit too much sugar for my personal tastes but is pretty good. Looking forward to trying more items.

I've worked across the street from this location for decades. With every previous tenant, I've never seen what I would remotely call a full parking lot. I was surprised when this place opened a week or so ago that the parking lot was *packed*. Jam packed. Anyway, I knew I'd have to try it out. We went there today for the first time. I tried the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and snuck a little piece of yard bird from my co-worker's plate. All of it was incredible. The brisket was all a lean cut, but was fantastic. I'd assume if you bought it by the pound, you'd probably get a mix of lean and moist brisket, but I'm not sure. Good bark, good smoke ring, spot-on flavor. The ribs had a great seasoning and were perfectly tender. The pulled pork would make an AMAZING sandwich with a little coleslaw on it. Last but not least, the chicken was super moist, very good, but wasn't as smoky as the other meats (intentionally, I'm sure). I'm not usually a sauce guy, but the BBQ sauce might be the best I've had. I'm stoked to have this joint in Addison. I can only assume they will be wildly successful after having tried it. I will 100% be back.

Place is really good. I order the brisket sandwich plate. The brisket is nice, tender and flavorful. The bark on the outside is delicious, perfect rub and amount of smoke. Got the green beans, also very good. Lastly the mac and cheese. I see some people saying they dont like it but I find it tasty. It is different, but what do you want every restaurant to serve kraft?? They put a nice twist to make it unique.

C

I was pleasantly surprised coming in for lunch on a Monday afternoon. I got the 3 meat plate with turkey, burnt ends and smoked meatloaf all of which were fresh and delicious! My sides were the Mac and cheese which was creamy and had great flavor, and fried okra. Service was great and definitely a place I’ll return to!

D

I tried this place on a whim and it is my favorite BBQ place around! The brisket is so tender and the dry rub seasoning on the ribs was fantastic. The baked beans as a side is a must! Really clean establishment I felt comfortable and confident taking my food from there during this time especially coming from New York. Also the best group of people you will ever meet. It truly has that welcoming Texan spirit and they treat you as family. I can’t rave enough about this place, definite must for anyone looking for BBQ!

Down-home local place. Great bar and drinks. Safe. Dance floor, live band made it a perfect TX spot for out-of-towners. Fun casual. Just what we wanted. Food was good. Staff was very nice.

J

I almost don't want to rate this place cause I love the chill uncrowded atmosphere, but they are too awesome to keep to myself. Delicious food including unusual surprises like smoked meatloaf, but I am most fond of the half chicken. Parking can be a challenge but worth it. Staff are always nice and helpful. A favorite when I need smoked meat in my life.

Super nice host, keep checking onto our table if everything is going well. He was supper attentive, nice, and the perfect host you would expect! Not to mention the amazing bbq - the brisket was the best i've ever had. Everyone from our table ordered some more to take home for their family. 100% recommended. + preach cobbler and ice cream was also amazing!

Austin's BBQ is hands down the best BBQ joint in Addison. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with the mouth-watering aroma of perfectly smoked meats. The quality of the food is outstanding, with tender brisket, succulent ribs, and delicious sides that leave you craving more. Their affordable prices make it easy to enjoy a fantastic meal without breaking the bank. The owners, Val and Rob, are exceptional. Their dedication to customer service is evident in every interaction. They go above and beyond to ensure every customer feels welcomed and valued, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a BBQ enthusiast or just looking for a great meal, Austin's BBQ is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Great bbq! I love the brisket and the sausage. All the sides are good quality, the black eyed pea salad and the slaw are my favorite. I haven’t tried the spicy beans yet, they are in the fridge. The sauce is real bbq sauce, not the sugary gunk they put on bbq here in Kansas City. One day when I have the time off I will drink at the bar and hang out with Valerie but will always stop here when I go through Dallas.

We order lots of BBQ items from Mr. Austin each year for our Annual Soccer Showcase in December and it is ALWAYS on point! The Jumbo Dogs are incredible, the Chili, and the Slopy Joes yummy - the tacos are devine!! Mr. Austin and is teamare awesome. Best way to show Texas Hopsitlaity to the folks from across the USA attending. They love it and so do we! Simply the best!!!

Austin's BBQ just opened today. It is the best BBQ I've had on the Metroplex. My wife thought it was better than our favorite spot back home in East Texas. The food was great and reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back.

J
Jim Ming

Our first time and we will definitely be back. Good food fast and great bang for the buck. We went on a quiet Monday night but there is plenty of room for lots of groups to eat and drink here. I had the three meat plate with sausage, brisket and pulled pork. The house BBQ sauce is a tasty vinegar extravaganza.

S
Steve Kirkland

Tried this place out for lunch and the food did not disappoint!! We had a pound of brisket and it was the perfect moisture, perfect amount of fat (we requested moist) and it was so rich in flavor. Also had 1/2 lb of pulled pork and 1/2 lb of jalapeno cheddar sausage and they were cooked to perfection and very enjoyable!! The only negative thing, and it was minor, was the cashier who took our order wasn't very welcoming or friendly, but that's okay, we didn't come here for the service, we came for the BBQ and we will be back. 👍😁

Super cozy, down-home bbq joint. I love that it's friendly and family-owned and operated. I always prefer to support local businesses and even more so when the food and service are great, which they are here. My favorite is the pulled pork sandwich or the loaded baked potato with brisket! Give them a try!

Austin’s is delicious for bbq. I met the owner and she is such a sweetheart and explained to me everything that is gluten free for my dietary needs. Everything on the menu is gf except the Mac n cheese, the bread, the meat loaf, and the shredded cheese. Even the bbq sauce is gluten free. I will likely be coming back this week to try the gf chili or the gf sloppy joe meat.

Maaan O Man!!!! The BEST bar b que we've had in a very loooong time by far!!! The man who took our order showed southern charm & kindness that lacks in society today. He told us about different items to try & gave his personal opinion as well. They have bar service as well as regular tables. My husband & I both ordered 2 meat combo with 2 individual sides . So we both tasted each others foods & I mean NOTHING WAS BAD!!! Even the tea was fresh tasting & we were kinda late eating dinner that evening. We had (between us) find Ribs, pulled pork, chopped brisket, & jalapeño sausage 😋 For sides: Cole slaw, French fries (which has some type of seasoning on them 😋), jalapeño beans, & some of the best collard greens. You have got to try it one time, & you will definitely be back. Very good food!!!! & southern charm. Both much appreciated!!! & the prices are very reasonable to give it an extra umph.

I had heard about this place but hadn't tried until I went to hear my friends band play. I walked in and smelled food Heaven! The menu is typical BBQ fare but the difference is all in the flavor. I chose a brisket slider, fried okra, and Frito Pie. The Frito Pie was the most amazing, brisket filled goodness I have ever had! I don't have enough adjectives to describe the flavor....slurp! That's all I can say! If I hadn't been in polite company I would have licked the bowl! The fried okra was perfectly fried! It crispy yet soft and seasoned perfectly! The brisket tasted different flavor from the Frito Pie. It also was melt-in-your-mouth goodness! Very often its hard for restaurants to keep distinct flavors but Austin's did a superb job! There is something to satisfy every palette. I will be returning....just don't know when!

This place is SO good. We got the brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño cheddar, sausage, coleslaw, and scallop potatoes. It comes with a big side of barbecue sauce. The meat was tender and so good, and the scalloped potatoes were so flavorful! Highly recommend.

A classic Texas BBQ joint. You can smell the place down the street. I got loaded fries with brisket as well as the turkey sandwich and mac and cheese. The brisket melted in my mouth. The turkey was on par with what you would expect with Texas BBQ The sauce was thick and good. A very large venue, great for hosting events. They have a full bar with liquor, wine and beer. The owner and his wife came and introduced themselves with amazing hospitality.

Our first visit to Austin’s and it won’t be our last. I was very impressed with the 1 meat 1 side option on the “specials” menu because that meat consisted of 7 ribs. That doesn’t usually happen for the price point listed. Everything was good and my husband loved the jalapeño sausage. The sports bar setting with bar, pool tables and card games made it a great place to watch the game! Laid back with great food!

First timer. Very welcoming, and nice place to sit and eat. It’s was slow on a Saturday. Had the Fatty brisket (my nickname in high school) collard greens, and green beans, both of which were meaty. Good smoke on the brisket and veggies were top notch. Will be back!

Excellent brisket, excellent pulled pork. The baked beans, potato salad, and peach cobbler are done well and complement the meat offerings. I also liked the BBQ sauce and the locally sourced soft drinks. Cool vibe here and outrageously friendly staff. Many thanks to Keith at the counter. I see a lot of similar reviews on here and I truly hope this place does well. Addison is better because of Austin's BBQ. p.s. Austin is the last name of the owner. It's not a reference to our capital city. I had to ask.

I finally had the opportunity to try the restaurant just around the corner from my home, and I can say it was fantastic! Not sweet, just the right kick, not dry at all just perfect. It's my favorite place for BBQ in Addison hands down. The service is friendly and attentive. Some of the best bbq in Dallas. Love this hidden gem so I had to give a review. I feel like most ppl don’t know about this spot but it deserves the recognition. Bbq is always delicious and fresh as well as the sides and desserts. The bbq baked potato is soooo good. I love that I live so close, I frequent this place often, and it smells so good as soon as you get in the parking lot! Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

For the Carrollton area, this is one of the best options for BBQ. It doesn't have to be central Texas BBQ to be good. It also doesn't cost an arm & leg like some places. Good sides, too. I've had all the meats, which are good. (The meat loaf isn't bad but not a stand out in my opinion.) The sauce is good--not too sweet or too spicy. And hey they carry a local soda, Real Sugar from Oak Cliff, including a good "Big Red" alternative when you need that fix. The folks there are nice, too, and easy to talk with. It reminds me of BBQ places I went to growing up in East Texas (just no East Texas hot links... yet :) . If you need pretentious BBQ, you can find it elsewhere.

J
Juan Almagro

The place was really nice and calm, and the service is very kind. The only problem was with the food itself. The fried okra was splendid and the Mac and cheese was just how I like it. The issue is I know my preference of Mac and cheese is watery and weird. The BBQ sauce was a bit tart, and the ribs were a bit dry. It's decent and I would go back but no outstanding BBQ.

K
Krystal

The lady who took my order was great. The atmosphere was empty. I wanted to go before the crowd. They were preparing for a party of 80+. That's awesome. I ordered the 3 meat plate. As a Pit Master's daughter, I can be critical. I could have used more salt on the meat. The sauce was generic. I like sweet and spicy. Fries were good. The seasonings a good blend with a hint of sweet. My turkey was little overcooked. Maybe due to being there all day. The brisket had a good bark and very tender. The meat was peppered down. Good rub. I do recommend more salt and smoke with oak rather than hickory. I felt like I tasted some liquid smoke. IDK The greens had brisket and pork 😳. I tasted vinegar as well. Overall, the spot was good. Service was great. The piggy box was my favorite.

First time coming here. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and bar. The food was good. I think that the bbq could use a little more smoking but I can say that all the meats were juicy and tender. I had the sliced brisket, ribs and sausage. Still had good seasoning. The collard greens were really good! The coleslaw was a bit peppery but I like it that way. The staff seemed very nice. Over all it was a good choice that I will probably go to again.

The food was good, I enjoyed everything I got, even though I do wish the side portions were a little bit larger. The brisket was good and not too dry, which is always a plus. My only complaint is I expected a lot better from the banana pudding, it seemed to just be made from a mix with a couple of cookies thrown on top rather than homemade complete with banana pieces inside, cookies throughout, and meringue or whip cream. As a banana pudding enjoyer it was very disheartening to receive. Otherwise, everything was good, just avoid the banana pudding if you're expecting something beyond pudding mix.

My sausage was a little cold, but I don't *expletive deleted* care because it tastes so good. The fries are delicious too, but the portions are a bit small. Don't order a double of fries if you're hungry, but definitely order them if you're planning on dessert. The cobbler wasn't the best. Tasted like one of those preserved pies you have to bake. Not the frozen ones.

The food was okay, but a little overpriced. I got the Brisket plate (1/2 pound) with potato salad and cole slaw. The brisket was too lean and dry for my taste. The sides were really good, though. Austin’s didn’t stand out anymore to me than every other BBQ place around. I’d personally recommend Spring Creek BBQ down the road, instead. Their brisket is to this day, the best I’ve found. There’s a much better value there, especially if you go during the lunch special.

The food in my opinion wasn’t very good. The potato salad didn’t have much flavor, nor did the ribs. I got a rib plate and the only good thing was the beans. I doctored up my plate when I got home and the ribs were still kind of dry. However the service is great!

Had a rib plate. The ribs were good. But those sides I had need help! The potato salad was like eating a bowl of mayo with a squirt of mustard. The jalapeño beans also need something extra besides jalapeño juice and black pepper. Add some seasoning to the side items and it would definitely elevate these plates.

Went for lunch and got a two meat plate, brisket and ribs. Ribs had some kind of sweet rub that was burnt black. The brisket had a nice bark but no smoke ring and almost no smoke flavor. Sides were fried okra which was good, and fries which were good but tasted like the seasoning also had sugar in it. Strange. I don't like sweet on meat. The natural wood smoke should flavor the meat enough. There should be a nice red smoke ring. The portions were very generous for the price. If you like sweet ribs you might like these.

I really want to like this place, the brisket is pretty good, when you get the good pieces, the 2 times I've been I get about 1 good slice and then a lot of fat. The pricing structure is weird, I tried to get one 'sloppy joe' for 5.99, and a side of Mac n cheese, and was upgraded somehow to a nearly $20 plate. And the cobbler is great DO NOT EAT THE BANANA PUDDING, IT LITERALLY TASTES LIKE THE CAN THEY POURED IT OUT OF MIXED WITH RUNTS.

Tried for the first time today. I got a two meat plate with sausage and brisket. The sausage was not very flavorful. The brisket was tender and not bad, just not near enough on the plate. I’m used to getting bread, pickles, and onions with the plate but didn’t get that.(not a big deal) The scallop potatoes are good but the baked beans taste straight out of a can.

Tiny portions, but not tiny prices! They got one of our three orders wrong. That was after I was foolish enough to leave a tip, and this at a place with zero service. You even have to clean your own table. $70+ for a snack for 3 people. Now I know. Should be listed under the fast-food-at-high-prices category. Even the band was terrible, I'm sorry to say... and I play in a band, so I felt for those guys at least.

E

TLDR the food is decent. Nothing to brag about. Cold brisket. Good sausage. Typical fixings. You walk up to the counter, order food and pick up like at any fast food joint. Somehow that entitles them to an 18% tip. $30 after tip, taxes & credit card fee for 2 meats 2 sides no bread & small drink.

Convenient location, plenty of parking and a lot of seating inside as well as a very large bar inside. They have real sugar soda straight from Oak Cliff on tap! Unfortunately, their bbq was nothing to write home about. Sausage was no good. Fried okra was soggy. Beef was fatty. Sauce was okay. I don't recommend unless you're there for the soda or the large bar. Not for the bbq..

If you work or live in the area it’s fine, but definitely not worth making the trip from other cities. Brisket in the sandwich was tender and moist needed a little salt, was a bit cold. Sliced brisket was dryer and also cold. Sausage was ok could have been cooked more. Potato salad was good but the potatoes were a bit big to eat in one bite. Coleslaw was decent, but had a little too much pepper which made it a bit grainy. Some tables were dirty. No bread? Not even straight from the bag. Bilingual ordering experience

The place was okay but to be honest tge food was pretty mid. The fries were fries but the brisket was just too dry. But the staff was very generous so no complaints there

Just your average good TX BBQ but nothing really exceptional or stand out. The meats (we tried the brisket and turkey) are good but pretty standard and a bit pricey in comparison to other spots. For our sides we got Mac n cheese and potato salad. The Mac n cheese was a bit soupy and mild tasting. The potato salad was big chunks and a mix of mustard and mayonnaise base ... If you like a LOT of sauce great. Personally this had way too much for my liking. The rolls were very store bought tasting. We took our food to go but the atmosphere was nice and they had a pool table which I thought was cool!

Brisket is quite good, the beans are good. The pulled pork isn't my favorite. I would not get the Mac and cheese again, and I normally love Mac and cheese. Far as desserts, the apple cobbler is great, but the banana pudding was a bit disappointing- no banana pieces, and the cookies on top were dry. Overall it was all right, but especially for the area, I think it's likely there are better places nearby. If we come back I'd probably get just brisket, beans and cobbler.

$17 for 2 Sides & a Sliced brisket sandwich. Brisket was kinda dry, but soft to the touch. Didn't have much flavor. Seemed like the sauce added the flavor. The fries were just average fries. The Mac & cheese hit the spot though. But when your side has the best taste, there's probably an issue. I wish I could have sat and eaten because the inside was really nice. Overall it's just mid tier bbq, At least their sandwich platter was anyway.

Pretty good barbecue… we’ve been a few times but the last time I went I picked up a chili brisket bowl and I was very disappointed. The container was filled up about halfway and there was barely any meat or chili in it. Mostly liquid… Message to owner… you also said they don’t put cheese unless you ask them to and they put cheese… I ordered the same size before (bowl) and it was way more ….

Food was ok... my family's and my favorite was the scallop potatoes very delicious. The brisket was the runner up we all got sliced moist cut, had a good rub but was over killed by the liquid smoke taste, with the bbq sauce tasted better but texas knows good brisket needs no sauce. Mac and cheese was ehhh had a peppery taste but very thick felt like a mouth full of paste. Smoked chicken tasted like nothing but liquid smoke tender but had to soak in bbq to eliminate the liquid smoke taste. The jalapeño sausage was dry and cold. The service was horrible tbh, and it was all because the gentlemen taking our order kept picking at his mouth (disgusting!) Was the gentleman with the small twist in his head btw. Kitchen looked dirty from the register. Over all too steep in price for the quality in food. Might as well go to dickies smh... And dickies is a last resort for us in bbq sadly.

Soooo... I read the reviews and saw the pics and decided to try this place out... there are some amazing places to get some excellent smoked meat from in Dallas, but are really far from Addison, or have extremely limited operating hours. So I know GOOD Texas BBQ when I encounter it. Unfortunately, this was not it. I ordered turkey, moist brisket, jalapeño and regular sausage also a few sides. I wasn’t impressed at all. The brisket was DRY, it had no seasoning or salt whatsoever. I actually had to put sauce on it (GOOD BBQ DOES NOT REQUIRE SAUCE). In fact nothing had any flavor except the beans. I was extremely disappointed because after doing my research, I had such high hopes. I guess I’m back to driving miles for good smoked meat or holding out for the barely open place in Farmers Branch. The upside to my visit were the friendly staff and the sweet tea, SMH.

Poor customer service just ruined our chance of ever eating there again. Pretty good food both times we ate there. Tonight, we worked very late, and my husband and son wanted some BBQ for their hard work. Took me a bit to get to Austin's because the tunnel was closed, and there's so much traffic due to construction. Walked in and ordered at the counter. When my order was ready, they brought it to where I was sitting, so I went over the ticket to make sure the order was correct and asked if it was all there. I was assured it was. Zig tagged my way back home, pulled out the food, and discovered the BBQ brisket potato was just a potato. I called them up, and the gentleman on the phone never apologized and offered a $5.00 refund because "well, you got the potato!". WOW! We were tired and hungry, and if we drove all the way back, the rest of the food would be cold. He just argued with me on the phone. When my husband got back, they had no meat to give him even though they asked him to come back and said it would be ready for him. Instead, they tried to give him a gift card for $14.00 to be used there at a later date and used profanity when referring to the employee who "messed up". My husband then went to Outback, where he received exceptional food and service. All he had to do was apologize and refund that small portion of the bill since he had no meat to give him. Sad, he has no customer service skills.

When your food comes out a directly after you order that is almost never a good sign. Ordered ribs and sausage. Ribs are bland and both the ribs and sausage were cold as ice. Terrible atmosphere inside as well. Large TV has a terrible picture, thank god the band that showed didn't destroy my eardrums. Won't be back, ever.

Pretty dry n gross. Cool open space and big bar. I bet if you get some drinks in you the bbq would be better. Thankfully its named after austin and not dallas lol.

I ordered food from here thru Uber eats. The brisket was tender but had no flavor. The ribs were cooked well but had no flavor. The potato salad was effing terrible. It was potato slices with skin on them, mixed with mayonnaise. No egg, no proper relish, no flavor. I’m not even going to talk about the green beans because I’m already upset at the flavor of the rest of the food. My wife got the chicken and I won’t lie, it was juicy, and flavorful. Made me wonder what happened to the rest of the food. I’ve eaten bbq from Memphis to South East Texas and more. This place has no flavor and I honestly was shocked after reading the reviews. I had to sprinkle my slap ya mama on everything and I’m not trying to be funny at all.

Food was texas BBQ. I enjoyed the jalapeños sausage. Brisket was on the dry side but good in BBQ sauce. I was very disappointed to see they charge for using a card. This is after they ask for a tip and of course sales tax. Management says this is a standard merchant fee. The fee is for the business, they then pass onto the consumer. Meaning its standard to charge the business to use their card service. It is NOT standard to pass this fee onto the customer. This reason alone I will not be back. Food was otherwise enjoyable.

My family and I were looking for some BBQ spots in the area and came across here. I called to have some questions answered, following up to place our order for Take-Out. The owner Valerie, answered the phone and very was rude/unwelcoming the entire phone call. My family and I decided to not even give it a try due to the unacceptable customer service before even experiencing stepping foot into the business nor trying the food. — Hospitality is definitely needed in running a restaurant. Make sure your guests are welcomed, in person and over the phone.

I've dined here for years alongside my family. Tonight my two children my 8 yo boy on the spectrum and my 9 yo girl. My children like to dance to their live music, play with the gold arcade machine and check out the billiards. We had finished our meal and I had ordered 2 drinks from the bar the bartender "Beth" was hostile since serving me at the bar, which I don't mind women can be catty and I am used to that, ehat was completely out of line was Beth (probably in her early to mid 60's) had the audacity to come to my table and direct herself to my son, not me and asked HIM where the white billiards ball was because "you were over there playing and now we can find it, what did you do it?" My son who is autistic immediately withdrew and just covered his ears and told me I don't know where it is, I didn't touch it, she was still insisting he gad been over there and began to blame him that because of that others could no longer play. Mind you I'm not the type of mother who let's the kids be unhinged or anything and my children wouldn't take something ( A billiards ball would be very noticeable in his jeans) my daughter sensed Beth's tension and offered to go look for the ball, so then there we had my daughter looking all over in the general area of the billiards table for the white ball. I just order two from Amazon which I will be delivering to Austin's owner directly and letting him know he had lost a patron and my eord of mouth recommendation to any potential patrons. Such behavior from a grown woman is unacceptable firstly Beth should have not directed herself at my son but at me, because adults are intimidating to children and her hostile demeanor couldn't be concealed. What was even more so astonishing is that the young cashier gentleman told me they have had several complaints about this woman.

I dont know what's worse here. The food, the staff, or the owner. Go anywhere else for BBQ or for food in general. I look forward to this place closing and us getting a real restaurant here instead. Edit: As you can see by the owners professional response to this review, you can tell why the parking lot is always empty.

Food was not good at all. The service was bad but the atmosphere was not as bad. They can do better than this! The only thing I could say tasted good was the regular fries. There’s room for improvement for sure.

I was so hopeful, based on the reviews, to try a relatively new BBQ joint close to the house. I was so disappointed. The ribs were tough and super greasy. The brisket was dry (both the point and flat). It had a beautiful bark but almost zero ring... not sure how they did that. The sausage was okay. However, even if the food had been fantastic, I was so angry when I got home. Before I ordered sides, I asked how big the container was. A lady, who I presume was the owner, grabbed and held up a 16oz container. But when I got home, they had given me 6oz containers. I didn't have enough sides to feed everyone. Complete lie... which is my ultimate frustration in a customer service business.

I got the three meat plate, the regular sausage was tasteless along with the brisket which was dry and old. The ribs had good bark but was fatty. Green beans had no taste just cooked in water with no seasoning.

We came to enjoy some live music and bbq with some friends and family. The food was great, however when my daughter went to go dance to the music, we were rudely told to leave. Citing that it was “too late and too crowded for little kids”. It was 7pm. There was nobody else dancing. We will never be back.

Got a brisket baked potato. Nothing but fatty meat. So ended up with and over priced cheese and butter potato. Will drive for better BBQ next time. THANKS FOR THE CORRECTION. Updated review: I originally posted about my disappointing meal — a brisket baked potato that ended up being mostly fatty meat, leaving me with an overpriced butter and cheese potato. What’s more disappointing is the business’s unprofessional response to my feedback. Rather than addressing my concerns, they chose to correct my spelling ("edible?"). It speaks volumes about how they handle customer feedback. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere where quality and customer service are taken seriously.

Very disappointing. When they first open was the last time I was here and it was good. This time it was not good sadly. This is not a Hutchins, Terry Black, or any of the top BBQ joints in Texas for sure. The brisket was very dry as if it had been held for much longer than it should have been just drying out. The smoked meatloaf was also dry. It had a good smoke flavor but was dry as well. The ribs were the worst. The bark was good but they smelled like rotten pork and did not smell good at all. I chose not to eat them out of fear it would be an issue. The banana pudding is not the banana pudding you expect from a BBQ joint. There were 3 wafers on top of the pudding with no bananas in it. The baked potato was the best thing on the plate. I should have known you get what you pay for when a 3 meat plate was only $21 its not going to be good. They are working on quantity not quality.

Went on a Saturday parking lot was empty thought we found a hidden gem… The only thing hot on our plate was the fries…. Brisket had no flavor chicken was dry as it can be . Ribs fell off the bone but lacked flavor your better off spending your money at anywhere else for bbq

Absolutely horrible food. $75 for stale fries, microwaved mac n cheese and the meat looks way undercooked. Never coming back again unless they give me a meal that’s made correctly.
