We were looking for a good place for dinner on our way to BDL Airport and found this amazing local gem on Google Maps. The food is something you would expect from a high end city restaurant with a top chef, but prices for food and drinks are more modestly priced. It appears to be very popular with locals and we had to sit at the bar. Our bartender, Ashley, was fantastic. Reservations are recommended.
We’ve been here 4 times now and have had an incredible experience each time. We’ve sat at a table (inside and out on the patio) and the bar, and their entire staff is so knowledgeable on the menu and specials, making great recommendations. You can tell that every ingredient is locally sourced and the food is made from scratch because everything tastes so fresh. Highly recommend the crab cake and risotto balls for apps, and the short rib gnocchi and Cajun pasta for entrees.
We visited Tosca over the weekend to celebrate my birthday. It is quite a hidden little gem—the interior is small and cozy and, surprisingly, no screens (except for one tv by the bar) or music! Our server was Maddie and she was great at describing all the dishes and their components as well as giving solid recommendations for meal selections. My husband and I both ordered drinks. Unfortunately, I found mine to be too spicy but both Maddie and the bartender graciously fixed it so it was more to my liking. For appetizers, I had raw oysters from their specials and my husband and I split the rice balls. Both apps were well-presented and delicious. We basically scraped the platter clean of the alioli that the rice balls were sitting in! It was THAT good. For dinner, my husband had the Bell Evans chicken and I had the gnocchi with short rib ragu. Maddie advised us to order the chicken and it was a solid recommendation! It was juicy and tender and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. I really liked the flavor of my dish and felt all the components went well together. Sadly, it felt like there just wasn't enough gnocchi (I think no more than 10!) and I was left with more ragu in the end, which I still gladly took home. For dessert, I decided to venture outside of my preferred choice (creme brulee) and ordered the pavlova. This was probably the only disappointing dish of the evening. Presentation-wise, it was more of an Eton mess than a pavlova and it had way more whipped cream and other components (nuts & fruit) than the meringue (only three small circles). For $13, I expected a dish that delivered more "wow," visually and gastronomically. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Tosca and would definitely recommend this place to folks wanting to have a celebratory meal. It's a bit pricier for a regular weekend date night but it sure is delicious!
Perfect cozy spot for a date night. Small place, small menu, high quality. Another visit and another fantastic meal! We cannot recommend this place enough! Thanks for another great evening!
Everything about our dining experience was phenomenal. We had the crispy risotto balls and truffle fries rendered in duck fat as apps, and then I had the Cajun chicken and my wife had the potato gnocchi with short rib ragu and both were incredible. As we were sitting at dinner, we planned for our next trip. A hidden gem that’s close to home. I wish we could give more than 5 stars!
One of our favorite restaurants in the area. 5/5 experience from beginning to end. Hospitality is great, service is outstanding and the food is amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone. The pricing is a bit more than average here, but you get what you pay for. I got the Cajun pasta dish and you can tell everything is home made (including pasta). Flavors were on point. We will definitely be returning
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The double thick smoked pork chop was unreal. The French onion soup is one of the best I’ve ever had. The creme brûlée was awesome. Beef carpaccio was so flavorful. Everything was so good and we will definitely be back
5.15.24 Our 1st time dining here. Lots of parking. The venue itself is small. White tablecloths make the place look nice and have that European feel. We ordered a martini, moscow mule, a mojito, the risotto balls, Italian wedding soup, beef tenderloin, bolongnese, gnnochi with braised beef, and brussel sprouts. We also received thin slices of homemade bread. The food presentation was good. The brussel sprouts were charred/cooked too much. But the entrees were all amazing. Great flavor. Cooked perfectly. Overall, the food was delicious. We were very happy with our visit.
Very nice restaurant with delicious everything! Started with drinks and warm focaccia bread with an AMAZING red pepper spread brought to the table. Crispy Risotto Balls with a creamy mustard sauce for appetizer. Dinner was Spaghetti Carbonara; and Potato Gnocchi with Beef Short Rib Ragu (all the pasta is made from scratch I believe). Dessert, with a homemade salted caramel ice cream, was delicious. Service was on point. Easily one of the best meals I've ever had.
Great food, we had the scallops on risotto, and the Cajun pasta. Both were excellent For dessert we had the crème brûlée and a beautiful long bowl that I’ve never seen before, and also a pair dessert with maple bourbon, whipped cream, and a maple bourbon meringue. We were disappointed to see a couple wheel in a pug dog in a baby carriage, and move the carriage next to the table and feed it from the table. The restaurant is rather close seated so people had to get up and move so that the dog could be wheeled to its table. I like animals well enough but not when I go out for a nice dinner.
Food was excellent, great service and lovely outdoor patio. Risotto balls were very tasty, crispy on the outside and not at all greasy. Veal chop was a special that night and was cooked to perfection and tender. The chef was kind enough to make me a side of homemade pasta on a decently busy weekend, which was not part of the menu. Chocolate lava cake and espresso martini finished off an excellent meal. I've driven by Tosca for years and very glad I finally stopped in for a meal. I will be back!
We have taken business guests here for dinner on 2 occasions and they have been seriously impressed. Everytime I go I enjoy their creative specials for drinks, appetizers and courses. This time we tried their sweet and spicy calamari and fried oysters, and they were cooked and seasoned well to excite our tastebuds. I enjoyed the veal chop and risotto for dinner. The veal melted in my mouth and was well complimented by the cheesy risotto. Yes, a large group dinner is expensive. However, the service was excellent, the private room and music were comfortable and sheik. Please consider this option of you're near the airport.
Love this restaurant!!! We always sit at the bar and Rachel is amazing!! She’s so funny! The food is very delicious and the cocktails are great! Had all specials tonight: the crab cake, the pork milanese, and the prosciutto wrapped cod! My partner and I split everything. Sooooooo good!!!!! And the Ginger Cherry Fizz cocktails were amazing! (Made with Belvedere Ginger Zist vodka). Can’t wait to go back!!!!! Check out my pics!
Found this place for the first time! Awesome experience! The chicken liver pasta special was phenomenal!!! The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly! I wish we found this place sooner . I can’t wait to go back. The staff was super friendly and answered all our questions as being first timers. Definitely have a new goto spot!
Delicious food. Excellent service. Cozy ambiance. We love it here!
First time visiting! Everything was perfect from the waitstaff to the delicious food including the dessert that was on the house! I would recommend anyone that’s in the area to make this one of your stops! Chef Cousin is the best !
A local gem. We are so lucky to have Tosca nearby. The food is always prepared meticulously and the service is gracious (looking at you Christian) (but really the whole team). We had the tomato and burrata appetizer special this evening and it was a work of art. My photo does not do it justice.
Absolutely delicious. Some of the best calamari I've had, and the scallops and beef tenderloin were succulent. I highly recommend!
Some of the best tasting food i ever had. Portions are generous and service is top notch.
Had this fantastic smoked pork chop. Just a wonderful meal and staff. Can’t wait to be back.
We had dinner at Tosca about a week ago for the second time and it was even better than the first. The food is always so fresh, the atmosphere is relaxing and this time we had an amazing server (Kevin) who was not only very friendly/personable but also very knowledgeable when it came to the many questions we had regarding the entrees and specials that evening. The seared scallops were amazing along with the crème Brûlée, thank you Kevin for the recommendation!
Best restaurant in Western mass in my opinion food service amazing
My husband and I went to Tosca for the 1st time on Valentine’s Day! Everything was perfect! The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The ambiance is perfect! We will definitely be visiting again! 🥰
Went for the first time for our anniversary. Fantastic experience. The food and atmosphere were terrific. Our waiter was Kevin, and you could not ask for better service. A great place to go! Definitely will be going back .One of the best restaurants in the area. Highly recommend
Always have a great meal and service every time we go. One of our favorite spots around
We dine out frequently and have been on the hunt for a new restaurant. I typically don't write reviews, but this place has quickly become our favorite, and they truly deserve the recognition! The cocktails were meticulously crafted and beautifully presented. Towards the end, I asked if they could make a cappuccino martini (not on the menu), and the bartender did a fantastic job! However, the highlight was definitely the gourmet meals. The homemade pasta and freshest ingredients made every dish truly exceptional—possibly the best Italian food I've had in the US. Last but not least, our waitress was incredibly kind, and personable. The ambiance is warm, the service is impeccable, and every dish is a culinary delight. We can't wait to go back
It was our first time visiting and the food was delicious.
What an amazing experience. Our server Abby went above and beyond. The apps were superb. The meals were creative and made to perfection. Specialty drinks and dessert were a highlight. Make sure to make a reservation because there are not a lot of seats. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
I rented the private event space and hosted a staff holiday party this past Friday. The food was delicious! (Definitely try the hand made pasta! Chef Kevin is a master! ) Presentation looked beautiful as well. Drinks were made to perfection! Server was professional and attentive - absolutely recommend! So grateful for this restaurant in our town!
Small place, can be a little noisy inside, but the excellent food made up for it. Reservations recommended. Outside seating, but was cool out the night we were there. There are patio heaters out on the patio however. Competitively priced. The octopus app was delicious for my first time having had octopus. Oysters and beef carpaccio apps were also excellent. My main course was the braised short ribs with potato gnocchi and the wifey had the grilled chicken. Both were delicious. My wife really enjoyed the roasted carrots that came with the very tender chicken. First time great experience at Tosca.
Matt was our waiter, he was a stitch! Food was superb.
Ordered the chicken evan and the sauce was amazing rich and full of flavor! If you like bland and dry go sowhere else. This is only for individuals with a diverse palate.
My husband and I met friends for dinner. I had the chicken liver pasta and my husband had the fried oysters and the rigatoni bolinaise. These dishes were full of flavor, with ingredients that entertain your taste buds, leaving you smiling and satisfied. The service is beyond expectations, and atmosphere so enjoyable. My only recommendation is the font on the menu can be 12 and don't use green on white paper. We cannot wait to go back.
This restaurant is an experience. The interior is cozy and comfortable. Not too loud and not overly quiet. The service is fantastic. Our waitress was on point - remembered the specials, gave plenty of options, and was always responsive when we needed something. The food was out of this world. I had a pork chop and it was incredible. The cocktails were delicious, the restroom was clean, and the appetizers were amazing. Highly recommend, 10/10.
I got some items to go and I just wanted to write a good review because I’ve lived here for three years and we never tried this restaurant. I’ve tried to get takeout. They always weren’t available and now I understand why . I got the chicken, which was chicken, carrots, and mashed potatoes however it was just the most delicious chicken. I enjoyed it. We recently came back from NY where we had a chicken that was the best chicken I ever had. We couldn’t wait to go back. I feel like this one as even better . They had homemade focaccia bread, which was incredible. It came with this red sun dried tomatoe dip. I think I ate each peice . He needs to sell this ! Seriously !!! Next we had cannoli and the apple tart 🍎! The apple tart is incredible !The desserts were also incredible ! I can’t wait to get bread and chicken next week!!!
Food is amazing, everything from scratch down to the sauce, pasta, and desserts! Usually no wait time since most people call in advanced to reserve a spot. The owner takes time to speak to his customers when it’s not as busy and he shops for his own groceries and preps his own everything at the restaurant. You’re not going to find a place like this often. Price is worth it!
We sat at the bar and were greeted by a very friendly bartender. She made a very tasty spicy margarita & made great suggestions fkr food. We started with the crab cake, which was one of the best I've ever had. My gf had the salmon on risotto which was really good & I had one of the best pork chops that I've ever eaten. It was seasoned & cooked to perfection & was SRY juicy. We will definitely be regulars here
The bartender Alisia is amazing! She works so hard and has a smile on her face chatting with guests effortlessly. Food is delicious with good portion sizes! All around a great place to eat!
The atmosphere was very nice, and the staff were all friendly. Our waiter was especially attentive, which made the service enjoyable. The food we ordered was good overall, and the drinks were delicious. The only downside was the calamari, which wasn’t great—but the waiter kindly took it off the bill. While I appreciated the service and some of the dishes, I probably wouldn’t come back.
Food was pretty great, just see pictures! The black garlic steak was exceptional and a must try. Short rib ragu should also be on your list. The truffle Mac and cheese exploded with truffle flavor. The restaurant on a Saturday was quite busy and you're seated close to others. The four star rating was mainly for the cost of alcohol. Stella drafts were $10. That's pretty high, even for the area. My advice: definitely go here, pregame at another bar, get one beer with diner, and enjoy some great plates!
We visited Tosco this weekend … this restaurant appears to be trying very hard to have good food. But I think it’s just really really mediocre at this point. For an appetizer we had the burrata, which was regular ol mozzarella with some very flavorless watermelon and some overpowering onions. I would skip on that one! The other appetizer we had was the octopus… it was cooked properly and presented well. However, it was a very tiny portion of actual octopus that they mixed in with potatoes. So it appeared that there was more octopus than there was. For dinner again, stuck with the specials, I had the halibut. It was just OK nothing amazing. Little dry. For dessert this is where things got interesting… I had the peach tart dessert which sounded the best. I asked for a scoop of ice cream. The scoop of ice cream was more like a spoon of ice cream that came in the small dish. The dish was would expect to get ketchup in if ordered fries. My wife made a joke about it when it was delivered… turns out the joke was on me. It was three dollars for that spoon of ice cream. The other people eating with us had two drinks and two entrées and split one dessert, my wife and I had soda one appetizer each and an entrée and split one dessert and the total with tip was $350. Eh not really worth it to me. Maybe nobody wants my feedback… But the spoonful of ice cream for three dollars needs to go away! In summary four star review….If 3 1/2 was an option I might be there.
The food is outstanding. The beef carpaccio and octopus appetizers were amazing. I had the last squid ink pasta special and it was a 10 out of 10. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the flavor was superior. Unfortunately (and this is where we differ from 5 stars to 4 starts) the bar service is very slow. On weekends they limit your time to an hour and a half (which I understand) but that means they should be serving you drinks quickly and that they should be attentive…that was not the case. Then, when we asked about dessert, 2 of the 4 or 5 desserts the waitress quickly rattled off, we were told they take 25-35 minutes to be served. With an hour and a half table limit, I do not see how it would have even been possible to order those desserts. This is something that should be told ahead of time. The dessert we wanted, we could not get because, 1. We didn’t want to wait 30 minutes for it and 2. They have an hour and a half table limit and we had been there for an hour and a half.
Great restaurant with scratch kitchen. Extremely fresh extremely well done. The restaurant itself is a little bit small so I can get a little bit crowded but worth it for a true farm-to-table dining experience.
Called to ask if reservations were needed for dinner and was told yes. They did say they were booked but we could eat at the bar. Bar is small. Sits maybe 6. Bartender/server was great with prompt service and friendly attitude. Food came out timely and perfectly cooked medium rare plus. It tasted excellent.
Excellent food. Service was good nothing wrong really just kind of slow on taking the bar order and getting the drinks to us. Still a full gratuity situation and definitely would not stop me from going again! Polenta crusted oysters and halibut special OUTSTANDING!
Much better now that Josh is the bartender much more friendly and personable I never felt I was bothering him asking for things not like that other bartender WTG Josh keep up the great work see you soon
Oh I wanted so badly to love it here, but it was just okay. When we arrived there was no hostess at the stand. We waited over 5 minutes before my husband had to walk into the restaurant and flag her down. Unfortunately, her tone and personality screamed “I hate my job” and the way she spoke sounded like the cartoon Daria (look it up if you don’t know what I’m talking about). Our waitress, Amanda, was the brightest part of our night. She was warm, welcoming, kind, and enthusiastic. Everything you’d want in a waitress! The risotto ball appetizer was delicious, but our entrees were lackluster. My husband had the garlic beef and while not overcooked, the meat was tough and difficult to enjoy. I had the short rib gnocchi, and it was good. Just good. He had crème brûlée for dessert and it was fine, not the best we’ve tried. My blueberry cookie dessert was phenomenal. It was huge, warm, and so delicious. Definitely the best thing I ate all night. Overall it was a fine experience (besides the hostess who was dreadful), but I had higher hopes!
Always love to come here. Chef Kevin has phenomenal culinary skills. We went there last night. (Tuesday 11/12) To start, the reservation I made on line requested a corner table. We were seated directly in line with the kitchen and servers. Once seated we didn’t want to make a scene and move. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. I ordered the halibut special which I loved and my husband ordered the truffle mac and cheese. It had absolutely no taste of truffle and was dry. His gnocchi and braised beef meal was tasty but only consisted of 4 gnocchi’s. That was very disappointing. As much as we tried to enjoy ourselves, we honestly felt that things fell short of a perfect dining experience that we normally have here.
I had high hopes for Tosca and had been looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately the service left a bad taste in our mouth. The food was good and we had appetizers, entrees, drinks and were about to order dessert. About an hour into our reservation a blonde women (hostess?) comes over and says we need this table there's a party of 6 waiting. She then rudely asked if there's anything else we need. I said we were going order dessert but not now. We paid the nill and left. On the way out we said to the woman there is a more polite way to say a table is needed. Not to mention other people had been at their tables prior to us even getting there. Wish the service was on par with the food, but will continue to stick with BNapoli. Tosca has a way to go with customer service.
Our Anniversary Dinner — A Complete Disappointment What was supposed to be a special evening turned into a major disappointment. While enjoying what started as a delicious Bolognese, I suddenly bit down on a metal bolt or rivet that had somehow made its way into my meal. I immediately called our server, Matthew, over and showed him the object, saying, “We’ve got a problem.” His only reply was, “Yes, we have a problem.” After that, he did his best to avoid our table for the rest of the evening. He only acknowledged and apologized for the incident when he presented the check. Although the restaurant did comp my Bolognese, no one from management ever came by to check on me or to apologize for serving food with a metal object in it. When we asked the server if he had reported it, he said he informed the chef and gave him the object — yet we heard nothing further. The lack of concern and accountability from management is unacceptable. Finding a bolt in your food is a serious safety issue, and the indifference shown made it even worse. Unfortunately, this experience makes it clear that food safety and customer care are not priorities here. Eat here at your own risk.
