we went on the recommendation of Indian friends...we tried different dishes and everything seemed delicious. the place is frequented by Indians and there seems to be a lot of loyal customers. We really liked it and although some reviews complain about slow and unfriendly service, our dinner arrived promptly and the atmosphere was kind and relaxed. It is a place we recommend and we can't wait to return!!!!

My review is for the food to go. Sambar was delicious. service was quick. Again, I didn't eat there as it was slightly tight seating/casual. But def worth coming back here for the sambar

I love their food so much if you want to eat authentic South indian food you need to try their Iddly and vada and sambar. Pongal is too good. Dosas and upama yummy I love this place.

Authentic south Indian restaurant right around the corner near Sunnyvale downtown. Their dosas, mini idlis and idlis are my favourite accompanied with a good sambar and 2 types of chutney for idli and 3 chutney for ghee plain dosa. Ginger tea was also good and came in a big cup. The place is clean and staff are fast and cordial. But the outlet is too small to cater to their growing customer base and can be very cramped up and hard to find a seat especially for weekend brunches or dinner There is sufficient parking available and the place is easy to find and reach for newcomers to the city

One of the best vegetarian South Indian restaurants in the south bay. Over the years as more people flocked to the place, the quality of the food had declined ever so slightly. But, the food is still delicious. Pros: - All vegetarian menu - Quick service - Tasty food Cons: - Limited seating, place can get very crowded on weekends. - Limited menu options.

I came here based on a friends recommendation. This is a nice place with great food. I tried the Mysore masala Dosa which was good but soggy. My wife took the podi masala Dosa which was the best among the dosa's we took. My friend got the onion masala which was good as well. We took the onion tomato uttapum which was great. I also liked the mini idli and vada. We ended with some filter coffee and it was pretty good. Do recommend this place.

Don't go by the ambiance. Just close your eyes and open your tastebuds. Flavor is what you come here for.

Visited this place ti try some South Indian food. Their ambience is cozy and it’s self service. The aroma was amazing and the food itself was avg and not up to the hype we got from others. We got sambar Vada, onion rava masala dosa and coffee. The sambar was good and tasted like homemade with minimal spice( not sure I was expecting typical hotel sambar flavor). The Vada was good and it was soft. The dosa was crispy and tasted amazing with their variety chutneys. The masala inside the dosa felt bland and the texture felt like English mashed potatoes with turmeric. The coffee was weird with a hint of sourness and which overshadowed strong bitterness. Overall an interesting experience. Definitely will visit back for their dosas apart from that lots to improve.

Service is fast and friendly. Limited number of seating options. I felt like all customers are sharing the same table together. There was no place to stand properly. Price is reasonable, but you have to compromise the taste and quantity of food. Masala dosa didn’t have enough potato filling. Also, the filling was super bland like mashed potatoes without any spices. Only Coconut chutney was good. Quantity of sambar is also same as chutney. No doubt about the friendly service. But I won’t come back for tasteless stuff.

Good food, disrespectful host! Tiny hole in the wall place, serving delicious South Indian fare, best experienced as Delivery / ToGo. The actual dining area is tiny, it gets crowded fairly fast! The host seems to lack all sense of service and politeness and seems to go about his job from a place of frustration, rather than any need or effort to delight customers.

The food was good. Everything was literally the worst possible. This restaurant has no sense about decorum and customer experience. They switched on some machine at regular intervals which made a terribly loud noise. Then towards the end, they started cleaning something and the chemicals were so strong that it was impossible to stay longer in the restaurant, at which point I left. Never coming back.
