Went to college in Austin. Been going to Schlotzcky's for 35 years and this location is by far the meaning of this chain. The staff is incredible! The food is on point and I always look forward to coming back. 👏

Amazing staff! I want to say Maggie, a team lead, took my order at the drive throu and She's the best. The broccoli and cheese soup wasn't ready yet. I asking my 4 year old if another soup would do she said "no, I want the cheese soup." You see, we had a long day and someone tossed our cookies at school today and broccoli cheese soup was all she wanted. We momma bears do what we need for our kids and she totally understood when I asked it if was ok if we waited for the soup. Maggie (sorry if I'm wrong on the name) was so sweet. I paid for our meals at the window and she noted what vehicle I had so I could wait in the parking lot until the soup was ready. She even offered my baby girl some actual cookies and gave us the little soup that was ready at the time then brought us the sandwich and soup when everything was done. Major props to this girl. She is an asset to any company! I'd be proud to have her on my team any day.

WHO doesn't like Schlotsky's!!! We have been fans since the little store on Congress Street opened. My Grandpa lived with us and I worked at the Deaf School and Pop would call me to have me get one to bring home for Supper. GOOD TIMES!! And this company was and always has been an Austin Icon. THEY would always be involved in charities and keeping Austin weird! GOOD service, quick orders, and phenomenal food!! If you haven't been....GO! Order the Deluxe Original on largest size bread. It easily feeds two, maybe three! Worth Every penny!!!!

Great Sandwiches here, probably my favorite. Beef Bacon Smokey Cheesy is great. French Dip is another good one. They also serve desert because they have the the Cinnabon place built in. Very Good eats!

I visited this location frequently and I must say that all my past orders have been made surpurbily. Fresh and quickly served to our table. If you desire a hot sandwich this establishment will definitely be your spot. I like to give the kitchen staff my appreciation for their consideration of preparing great meals. Hadn't had a schlotzskys sandwich in forever. I love that I finally was able to find one and take my mom to enjoy a yummy lunch. Pretty busy but the cashier was nice enough to bring out our food to the table.

Sandwich was served fresh & hot, all good. Would have left a tip, but the guy actually bi-passed that screen for me with little explanation. I am only "aware" of it because I AM in the business, which is why I WOULD have left something. Now, please keep in mind, I come from the $2.13 per hour day of a REAL server who expected to be tipped for FULL table service. Sidenote, thank you (said SOOOO sarcastically) Starbucks for changing that norm. Now the world is different is MANY ways, so, yes, now I tip more often for counter services than I EVER would've in the past. My point being, for those of you cheapskates who cannot comprehend the large tipping scale, this could be a plus for you. I went there for the sandwich & it was good. What more can you ask for these days? Be happy!

Food is great, but service is sometimes lacking- leaving customers to stand at the counter for a while just waiting to order.

Did an online order here to pick up some sandwiches before travel. My dad used to love this place but there are no locations in California so had one made for him that I could bring back. The sandwiches were packed well and for dad tasted great despite getting it after a few hours.

The only location that make my order right! It’s so fresh every time and everyone is so nice! Fast service too!

The service, simply put, was excellent and my party and I enjoyed a delicious turkey sandwich and cinnamon roll. The staff, particularly Mr. Joseph and Mr. Angel, were warm, friendly, and interacted with my group. I was extremely pleased. It’s nice to get this type of service.

The food is so delicious, very healthy too. The taste can not be compared to anything one of a kind, healthy, delicious food. But that's my opinion but don't take my word for it go and see for yourself.

The restaurant was clean and the food was cooked perfectly. A staff member stopped by to check on our status while we were eating. That is almost never done at these types of restaurants. I would definitely eat at this restaurant again.

I was so sad when the Lamar and Barton Springs rd location went away. Then, I found this one. This team is serious about service and quality. They are fast and the food is great. Along the way, they also like to make you smile.

Update, it has better in service i am greeted this time and my food has been better. Okay, went through drive through today and I am very disappointed. My cesar salad was not even a full salad. Don't start slacking please I'd give you 2 stars For some reason the last couple of times I've gone they haven't been the best anymore. The salad serving is much less and the little cup of dressing is less than half the container. The customer service havent been as friendly as other time.

Got there at 12:30, waited about 2 minutes to order, 3 minutes til my sandwich and it was wonderful. Crispy, hot, and tasty. I wanted to commend them then but they were too busy. Thank you I enjoyed my lunch.

I chose this place because I was meeting someone and it was a good location for us to meet. I hadn't been to a Schlotzsky's in 10-15 years. The whole crew there was really nice. Great customer service and really friendly employees. That really stood out to me. Food was good and the place was spotless. They have great specials too. I'm going to start making this place a destination.

Jana, our server, was awesome, friendly and very welcoming!!! We had the Albuquerque Turkey combo & tried their new BLTurkey Sub! Both were delicious and we had a fantastic time.

I love Schlotzsky's. Always great sandwiches. The Cinnabon cinnamon rolls are worth coming for dessert as well. I'm hooked. They have a variety of delicious soups. Friendly service and clean restaurant you can find at Schlotzsky's.

I ordered food, drove up to pay and realized I did not have my wallet. In desperation I tried to figure out how to pay or charge my card manually and was so frantic!

I haven’t had Schlotzsky’s in over 20 years. They happen to have them here in Austin, Texas and they are as delicious as I remember. I ordered the medium turkey bacon club sandwich on jalapeño cheese bread (meal deal), small smoked turkey breast sandwich on sourdough bread, salt and vinegar chips, lemonade, and the most soft and delicious chocolate chip cookies I probably ever tasted. Even with delivery to my hotel the sandwiches were still warm. Thank you Schlotzsky’s for being consistent as a very delicious deli.

Address for doordash and every time I come in here I'm always treated well. Joseph who works at to go station is a really nice man! He's really kind to me and gives me a drink every time I come in. I've been going through a really hard time lately in the world seems a bit rough right now but Joseph made my day!

They have a new self service machine. A little tricky to use at first but great feature as allows staff to focus on making the food. Any dish I have tried has always tasted fresh and delicious. Would recommend.

Just wanna share that Schlotzsky’s kids meal is the best deal around! It comes with a small sandwich, choice of cookie or fruit cup and a small drink! And a pickle! They are chocolate chip cookies are small, but so delicious!

When you have a well-managed store, it shows. The Schlotzsky's on Brodie Lane is a delightful experience. The manager is present, active, and sets the tone for service for the entire staff. My wife and I ordered DoorDash where we picked it up. Within a minute of me waiting by the pickup station the manager checked in with me to see what I needed. While I waited, I saw him hustling around and delivering food to tables. There was an error with my order. But he happily and quickly corrected it. Not only that, but he threw a little something extra on top. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It was a great visit all around.

I will start of by the Phenomenal Customer Service Mr. Saul Gutierrez has, I never visited a Schlotzsky's before but this Gentleman went beyond his work ethic. My wife and I went for lunch and ordered a full meal, went to our table and my wife brought some napkins to put on the table as a plate kinda. Our food arrived and a minute later Mr. Saul came over to our table an gave my wife a tray or plate kinda say for her to put on ! This is Remarkable and Sets high standards for this Employee ! We then talked about how we had never come to this Chain Restaurant before, But I can tell y'all that he gain a Regular Customer along with my Family ! Plus: Food is as good as ever, and with fewer customers right now, it's delivered even faster than usual. This store is doing a great job with COVID-19 cleaning and distancing, and there's pleasant outdoor seating. Staff are courteous and know their jobs. Minus: Online ordering could be better: I had to go inside to order my usual, a cheese Original, because it wasn't available online. And I was surprised that my only pickup option for an online order was to go inside -- they couldn't offer that via drive-thru?

The food was really good, but they were cleaning the entire restaurant pretty early. The cleaning solution smell was strong.

Schlotzsky's has become an American brand. Their bread is unique. They have generous portions of deli meats and avocado. A single sandwich can easily be two meals. And that's only a medium sized sandwich. Half a large sandwich is enough food to put you to sleep. My favorite is the turkey bacon

The UP side: At the times I go in, they are never crowded nor busy so my order is taken and made right away... I have never had to wait longer than 4 minutes. The DOWN side: I have yet to get a fully stuffed sandwich with a lot of filling. Mostly bread, a few tomatoes, skimpy meat, and a sprinkling of lettuce, onion, and olives. Yes, I could order The Deluxe, but I feel I would need to be impressed with The Original first. Update; TRY THE DELUXE!! I was a fool not to. It has WAY more flavor and completely satisfying. I'm looking forward to the next visit... TODAY!!

Everything was great, but I’ve been recently going back to Schlotskys bc they recently started carrying Yellowbird hot sauce and it’s great on everything. This location doesn’t carry it or didn’t know anything about it. Now I know! A bunch the other locations do though! *I do not work for yellowbird in anyway, just a fan*

I give the Manager Travis 5 stars for making the mistake right. I went through the drive thru the night before and ordered the California Chicken and alvacado Flatbread pizza. I made sure to ask for the receipt, which was also stuck to the lid of the box. I checked both recipts and was charged for the correct order. When I got home and opened the box, I was shocked to see a plain cheese Flatbread pizza. If you could even call it that? Maybe a kid would eat it but they wouldn't be happy. I called and was upset and asked to speak to a GM or manager. I was so hungry and upset. He promised to make it right if I came back in. He did, and I was happy with my food and his kindness. So I gave him 5 stars for the11 service he made up for. I gave the food and atmosphere 4 stars. I have enjoyed Slchlotzskys since ive lived in Austin. I miss the old grand location on S Lamar with the great patios. Too bad it was ruined, my people camping out on them. It was a favorite place to sit and use the internet while eating the good food or to have lunch meetings near Zilker Park. WB

My husband and I went to schlotzsky's he got a regular veggie delight and broccoli cheese soup I got half a roast beef and broccoli cheese soup. My bread was extra crispy and not the typical one that they would serve that I'm used to having but I still ate it. His was fine mine was the one that was burnt. Otherwise the service was good we also had dessert the Cinnabon middle of the cinnamon roll it was really nice. It is extremely cold inside though. But I can understand everybody's different in the restaurant. Yeah and we couldn't do our trash away so we had to leave it on the table because they had already turned the trash cans around and the only one not turned around was full.

We are definitely a frequent flyer of Schlotzsky’s and since we are a larger family we really appreciate the family meal deal and $5 pizza nights. I will say that I miss the medium sandwich meal deal, but we always come back to this location for multiple reasons even though we have another one that’s closer. 1. The management there currently (Jana, I think?) does an amazing job taking our order and making sure it’s correct and whatever my kid doesn’t like doesn’t end up on their pizza. 2. In addition to that they have cherry coke!!! I know that might be trivial to some but I am not a fan of those multi flavor drink machines. 3. I’m able to still get the 4 cheese pizza, it’s not on the menu and if I try to order the $5 in the app than it’s not an option but I am able to order it there. Tonight though we came in and had a special experience that deserved extra praise. An employee named Maurice went above and beyond trying to make sure we got our food hot and as it was made. He walked around and checked in again to make sure we had everything we needed. Later on my daughter grabbed a lid but forgot the straw so he came walking back with a straw. It may seem like small things but I think it says a lot when your kids are wanting to give him a tip. The only complaint I have is that quality control can be a thing with the pizzas. Mainly they are amazing but a few times they are rushed and it seems like the crust is technically most of the pizza with some cheese scattered in the middle but those experiences aren’t frequent.

Lowering rating. Yet another restaurant that makes you order on a screen for yourself and prioritizes delivery orders over dine-in customers. On the plus side, computers don't bug you for a tip.

Three stars because this place used to be great, and hopefully they can turn the ship around. Recently, it has not been uncommon to find every table dirty in the dining room, and not the best service… However the food was always good, with reasonable portions for the price. That’s the sole reason we’ve kept coming back. But not today. They did not give me the medium portion of meat I ordered on my GF sandwich. It was the small portion. I would know this as I’ve placed that exact order 40+ times. I asked them to correct it and the manager said he “made the sandwich himself and it was the correct amount of meat”. If thats true, then every single one of your employees had been making my order wrong for years and giving double the amount of meat. Additionally, if thats true we wont be back. I’m not willing to pay that amount of money for mostly bread. I’d hate to see the “small” portion if that’s your “medium” portion.

I don't drive so I depend on delivery services. I frequently order from the Sunset Valley Schlotsky's. When I order from that store, more than 50% of the times something will be wrong. Today I ordered a chocoIate chip cookie and a fudge brownie. Instead, I got a limp salad. I do not know if the problem is with Schlotsky's, or the DoorDash drivers, or something else but I would sure like to have my cookies.

Heard the delivery person order the right dressing, both the cashier and the receipt confirm, yet ranch was in the bag upon delivery 🥲🥲🥲🥲 ranch + goat cheese us just evil, y'all. Let's slow down on the line and read receipts all the way through 🤍🤍

After I ordered a beef sandwich, with added lettuce, tomato and olives, my wife and I got drinks, napkins and grabbed a table. After a couple minutes the cashier informed us there was no beef for my sandwich and offered any sandwich of my choice as an alternative. I asked for a club with ham, turkey and bacon. Sounds good so far right? The sandwich they brought to the table was not even close to the sandwich I ordered. It had turkey and guacamole. I returned it to the counter and the staff argued about who's fault it was and I was given another sandwich. The second sandwich had the correct meat, but no lettuce, tomato or olives. I asked for a plate of veggies to just add my own toppings, but never got my olives. The Coke Zero in the fountain was Dr Pepper and the Coke was Sprite and the Dr Pepper was something else. I got a refund, but I wouldn't recommend this location.

Went by to grab a quick sandwich for my 3 daughter's. Kids can be very picky about what the eat. Often not how things are served on the menu. I went through the drive through and wanted basically nothing on the kids sandwich pretty bare just meat and bread. When I got the window and was given my bag and pulled off. My daughter informed that they put everything on it. I turned right back through the drive through. Where I was told that they don't make changes to the kids sandwich? Then what must have been the management said that they would do it for me just this one time. That I confused her workers in the kitchen, then I was told to pull forward and wait . When she did eventually bring me the sandwich (that I would have thought was pretty easy to make but difficult for the kitchen) it had 1 piece of bacon folded in half.. I said thank you and we left. But good to know.. no changes to schlotzskys sandwiches

Placed a mobile order and not only did they give me the wrong bread they handed me a drink i did not order and I asked the lady if the straw was in the bag and she said yes .. there was no straw lol went back and just went ahead and asked for my drink to get replaced bc i was starving and she told me they didn’t have the drink i ordered .. ok? Then ask what I want instead of giving me something i DID NOT ask for and i heard her and her manager talking in Spanish like I don’t know what they saying 🤣 mejoren su servicio muchachas Porque no saben quien las va entender!!

The staff is super friendly, but I'm always disappointed with the food at this location (and I love Schlotzksy’s!). I'm vegetarian so I always order the Fresh Veggie sandwich. It's as if they are afraid to put vegetables on a *veggie* sandwich. I have them leave off the cucumber due to an allergy, so I'm left with some tomatoes (I have to say there are plenty tomatoes), a few strands of iceberg lettuce, hardly any olives, and that's it. And today I had the saddest excuse for a pickle I'd ever seen. I started to snap a picture of it, but they cleared away my plate too quickly. Which brings me back to the staff. They are wonderful. I go to this location because of it's convenience, and the way the staff treats all of their customers. Hey, y'all, just improve your veggies sandwiches!

Not sure why Schlotzky’s has changed their consistent, classic Fresh Veggie formula. We always defaulted to this sandwich when we didn’t know where else to eat. It was clean, with a light mayo sauce and some cheddar cheese, and full of vegetables. Now it tastes literally like a pizza and it’s so greasy that I feel nauseous after eating it. The mayo sauce has been nearly tripled and they replaced the cheddar with Parmesan and doubled that too. Stay away from this sandwich. It no longer reflects its own name. They should instead call it the “Supreme Pizza Sandwich” to avoid misleading people who think they’ll get a refreshing experience.

I still don't like the sourdough bread they serve. It tastes like gasoline smells to me for some reason. I have tried multiple times and it's the same thing. It must be a personal preference so I am not going to go back but for those who do like it, enjoy it. The portions are fair for the price and are generally fresh. Service was good for fast food. Interior was nothing special.

Twice now in 2 months we have gone through drive through in evening. Ordered for two people- not a large order. Sat at window the first time for 20 minutes. Second time for 15. Last night nobody came to window to explain the delay. Inside there were 2 customers. I could see 4 workers and all were doing nothing but chatting with each other, eating and goofing around playfully. When the food came i politely asked what caused the delay. The guy said i don’t know maybe because we have a new guy. I suggested when this happens perhaps it would be good to check with the customer and reassure them they’ve not been forgotten. He just stared at me. Never apologized, never said thank you… just smirked and stared. Probably won’t go back.

Very disappointed in this location. I had an order that they completely botched. I called spoke with a male manager who took my name and said that they would replace 2 full entrees as an apology. Ok cool.. I went and got my first replacement, the female manager gave me a hard time about it due to me not having the manager's name I spoke with or my receipt that the male manager told me I didnt need.. Fast forward to today when I go and get my 2nd replacement order... The same female manager tells me that she remembers me from last week and I was only getting 1 meal that it doesnt matter what I was told... She didnt even bother to go look at their "book of names". Very disappointed in the services, the lying, the mistake of making my food wrong, the way the female manager acted... I go here at least once or twice a week ... Moving forward I will be spending my money elsewhere.

I used to love Schlotzky's been going since the 70's. Doubt I will ever go back. Food Quality has gone down. Prices have gone up. Customer Service is non existent and there Rewards Program is a Joke!!!

Terrible drive thru service. They ask everyone to pull up out front and they will bring the food out. I waited over 15 min. Finally someone came to my car and asked my order, didn't have it. She went back inside. I finally went inside the building after 5 more minutes. The woman told me they had come out but couldn't find my car, so they threw it away. Never mind that I had just informed someone which order I was waiting on. They said they would remake it, after questioning me whether I was really outside waiting. Zero apology, not even a “sorry for the confusion”. It's the worst customer service I've had in a long time. I will not return to this incompetent and rude location..

First time ordering online. Paid $17 for a giant deluxe original, asked for no lettuce, no mustard, add jalapeños and spicy brown mustard. They screwed this sandwich up so bad.. no tomatoes no onion no special sauce. I wasn’t asking for anything crazy just not sure how they could not get at least a couple things right. Won’t be back to this location.

Ordered an hour before they closed and sat hungry for well over an hour. Then without notice they cancelled it. We couldn't order elsewhere because we didn't know if it was delayed or cancelled. Now it's almost 2 hours after we ordered and have to go get food elsewhere. This would have been my first time trying here and never again.

I didn't care for the food at all. Nor did I appreciate the mgr in charge. Went in ordered soup and sandwich. Soup I was told (by cashier) was chicken tortilla. When I got the small amount of soup it didn't have any of the ingredients a tortilla soup should have. Asked mgr about the missing tortilla strips. And she very short and rudely said it wasn't tortilla soup. They quit serving that last month. It was chicken enchilada soup. Which also didn't look like anything resembling what was advertised! Sandwich plate had lettuce all over as if tossed on it. It looked like a total tornado on my way plate. Very unappealing to the eye as well as my stomach!!! Terrible!!!! Only good was the exit door.

Guy taking order messed up several times charged and given medium sandwich I ordered a small so had to throw away 1/2 a sandwich couldn't even find a homeless person to give it to and before anyone says anything it was never touched by me. When I told a team lead they or sorry he is only one we have to take orders.

I went to Schlotzsky's for the first time in years, giving it another shot. All I ordered was a single cinnamon roll. I get to the window, and they tell me it's $23. I told them all I ordered was a cinnamon roll. He then put my order in. I got to my next destination, opened up the box, and the cinnamon roll was so cold that it definitely just came out of the refrigerator. Not surprisingly, let down again.

I asked if they had Apple slices for my grand baby's kids meal. And they told me if I wanted Apple slices to go to McDonalds. Spoke to the manager and he could care less. Gave me a thumbs up after I told him what happened. A lady working there said they did have fruit cups which would have been a nice alternative rather then basically being told to just take a hike. This was from the manager also. INCREDIBLE.

I am beyond frustrated with the drive-thru experience at this location. Today at 1:49pm when I went to place my order, the employee said “order when you’re ready,” but when I did start ordering, it was clear they weren’t even at the register to take it. I had to repeat myself, only for the order to still be wrong when I got it. If you're not ready, don't prompt me to start. And if I repeat my order, the least I expect is for it to be made correctly. This isn’t a one-time thing — it’s a pattern, and it’s incredibly disappointing. Do better!

Jesus most awful experience it took forever to get the mail is filthy dirty it was hard for me to find a place to eat because every table has not been clean. I absolutely love Schlotzsky’s, but this place was unbearable. My observation was customer service really suck and they need to clean this shop.

AVOID at all costs!!! Ordered a sandwich for pickup. Arrived and the employees were more interested in talking to each other than recognize I was there waiting for my food. It wasn't until several customers were behind me honking that they bothered to pay attention. Then the employee barked at me what I wanted. I said I had a pickup order and my name. She eventually provided my order and slammed the window. The sandwich was awful, and the service was worse. AVOID at all costs!!!

I had a very disappointing experience at Schlottis on Brody Lane today September 27th at 6 pm.. I tried to place an order in the drive-thru, but the woman taking the order kept saying, “What? What? Can you repeat it? I don’t understand you,” over and over again — at least six times. Instead of trying to help, she made the interaction feel embarrassing and frustrating. In the end, I had to leave without placing an order. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and patience. Management should make sure there are people in the drive-thru who actually want to help customers, not discourage or embarrass them.

Terrible cutting of the pizza. Toppings fall off just trying to grab a slice. Compare those slices???? Missed it by a long shoot. First visit to this location and the only description I got of the pizza was it is better than domino's. 👎
