Tim Hannah and Ashley were awesome helping me find my lost phone. Great vibe here
Bartender was great
Loved the music and the place. A little messy but great for a night out.
This place is amazing, the owners and the staff are amazing. Top notch club in syracuse. Cheers.
It was total amazing. I had a nice time. Service was amazing..I enjoy every minute of it.
Fund raiser for Corey Hill scholarship fund , What a beautiful generous venue!! Well done, and thank you
Great Sunday venue to grab a meal and a few beers with mates!
Pretty much the only club downtown worth visiting.
Cool club. A decent sized dance floor and a really nice patio area with a bar in the back. I highly recommend this place if you are into that sort of thing.
Had an amazing time!!! The staff were attentive. The event went off without a hitch!!! Thank u so much for the entertainment, the vibe, the experience##
Best upscale club around if you're looking for a modern hip hop club with an actual dance floor and dj this is the spot
Amazing experience drinks and dancing floor is very nice .. theres a outdoor seating area thats gorgeous
Lively dancing, good DJ, cheaper drinks, and cute environment. Definitely worth the 5 dollar cover!
Out door patio beautiful. Inside very spacious. Big variety of alcoholic drinks.
The Best patio in downtown Syracuse, bartenders are professional and will serve you faster if you treat them respectfully
Love that the bar is in a seperate place from the music and dancing. Great drinks too!!
Great atmosphere great drinks and they have a huge dancefloor
Benjamin's is the hottest nightclub downtown! Don't believe all the negative reviews written by people that can't even get in the door because of their bad attitude.the doormen and bartenders are very professional. Its a NYC vibe nightclub
This is a great place with a metro vibe. The outdoor patio is my favorite, sometimes they have really good DJ's. The doormen are very attentive and protective. I always feel safe here.
Great night club, very popular with Syracuse University students and other locals. Great location, strong and tasty drinks, decorum makes for a relaxing yet classy place to drink and dance.
Nice lounge with dancing, outside seating and two bars. Best night is Saturday night for dancing. I went on a Friday but still had a great time dancing.
this place is like a magnet for chaos but definitely the best clubbing scene for Syracuse
Indoor bar takes a lot longer to get service than outdoor cash only bar
A great vibe in the heart of downtown Syracuse! Exterior lounging area, dance floor, great drinks, and friendly staff. Just make sure you know the dress code!
This place is always a good time. Whether it is DJ Skeet or my favorite, DJ Mike, this place is always fantastic. The staff is incredible. We have been going enough that we know most of them pretty well now. The bouncers are super professional and take care of issues very quickly. I have seen them be verbally abused, and they just smile and take it. They don't have ridiculous egos like some of the bouncers from other bars and clubs close by. I would 100% recommend stopping by this place if you are out and want to have fun!
Benjamin's on Franklin: A Night to Remember Benjamin's on Franklin in Syracuse is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun night out. The atmosphere is electric, thanks in large part to the talented DJ Gweedo. His music selection was on point, and he kept the dance floor packed all night. The bar offers a wide variety of drinks to suit any taste, and the prices are reasonable. Whether you prefer cocktails, beer, or wine, you're sure to find something you'll enjoy. If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, head outside to the fire pit. It's a great place to socialize and enjoy the cool night air. There's also an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink without having to leave the fire pit. Overall, Benjamin's is a fantastic spot for a night out in Syracuse. The music, the drinks, and the atmosphere are all top-notch. I highly recommend it!
Can't say enough about this place, the owner and the manager of this place! I hosted a cocktail party with 60 people here on the weekend of Syracuse's graduation and they bent over backwards to help me make it great in every way, shape and form!! Great bar! Grat drinks!! Great outside area (when weather permits)! I highly recommend this place!
The bouncers and staff is always amazing. They do their job very well, and are awesome to talk to. The music is great and so are the bartenders, along with the drinks! Although, there is a woman who works in the coat room who is quite rude. Not a pleasant woman at all. Besides that, it’s a great bar and I recommend it for everyone!
Best night club in town! They have the indoor bar and dance floor. Outside on the terrace they have fire pits and seating for when it gets too hot and you need some air or for those who smoke. Saturdays are number one in my book but Fridays are also a great night to get out. Highly recommend!
DJ was awesome. Puzzled by the lack of checking patrons entering the club.
Really enjoyed the outdoors area and fire pit! A lot of younger people!
Only good Saturdays, a bit pricy too but it's a great time
Best dance club in Syracuse. Also only dance club in Syracuse
Pretty big spot, I had a good time. Multiple rooms and vibes.
very nice upscale feel to a downtown club/bar
Benjamin's on Franklin was a nice space. The outside patio was the best part about it. The bathroom only had 2 or 3 stalls. And the drink was only ok.
Great place with full size bar and a dance floor. DJ is awesome, but there's no food in the open bar. Might there be some in closed resto-bar
A decent place to go and dance and have a few drinks. The cover is acceptable because it tends to keep the crowd a little more friendly.
Fun club, huge space. It's pretty much packed elbow to elbow though, and it's mostly a meat market for 20-something year olds, but it still had an all around good vibe and ambience.
Had a great time. Drinks are really expensive, but the music is decent and it was fun dancing.
Good drinks, nice atmosphere, DJ can be hit or miss depending on the mix.
Nice place to go dancing with the gurls. Drink are a reasonable price.
Great place to spend a night out in Syracuse. The bouncers are very caring and the DJ is always spot on with the music. All of the staff there are very friendly. However the stamp/coat lady is disrespectful and unprofessional.
It wasn't too bad very busy and if you are looking for a high volume spot this is A place if not the place A stop by at least.
Good vibes, good dancing. Relatively affordable drinks. They have their open air patio open during summer months.
Great for weekend dancing. Can get crowded which if your out clubbing is a good thing. Fairly priced well drinks.
If you want to feel like you're in college again, this is the place to go. Drinks are reasonable, dance scene is alright. Not as seedy as you'd think.
Cute bar with outside seating as well as a separate dance floor area. We had a good time here the bartenders were nice and made delicious drinks, prices were decent. The 2 djs we saw had a very good mix of music compared to other dance clubs in the area who just play dubstep. The dance floor had good vibes people of all ages coming to dance and have fun together it was definitely an uplifting and free of criticism vibe good for a night out
Great place! Have always loved coming here because of how spacious it is. Big bar and lots of room to dance and have a good time. Only complaint is that the girl who takes the money (I think her name is Liz) has been extremely rude lately. Not the best look considering she’s the first person you interact with when you walk in.
Benjamin's is always a trip. Usually packed and full of dancing people, you should expect a loud but atmospheric outing. The servers are prompt and the security is thorough, so the service holds up well. In the warmer months the outdoor patio is a nice touch as well for those who would rather lounge around. My only criticism is that the clientele can be abrasive depending on the night, I usually opt for a lower key bar, but with a group Benjamin's is a lot of fun.
An "exclusive" club playing top 40 pop hits. They have a cool dance floor with booths surrounding it. There's a great courtyard with an outdoor bar and large fire place table. The spirit selection is really good. The best part about this place is the staff. It can get really crowded and there may be a wait to get in. The charge a cover fee, usually about five bucks.
I wish the music was better, but still a good place to make bad decisions.
Good service but not a large croud if you are looking for one.
The fire pit in the back with outdoor seating was nice.
Go here because you have very few options. During busy nights expect the dance floor to smell of arm pits and the bar of farts. Fortunately, this is a genuinely good place to go for drinks with coworkers in the summer. They have a really nice patio. But they seriously need an air filter.
Good drinks , nice lively crowd. I went on a Friday the dj needs to play more up to date music he was playing early 90's. The outside lounge is really nice .
If you love loud music with lots of college kids, then you’ll enjoy this place. Cover charge after 10pm, good variety of drinks, nothing much happens until after 10pm
The worst DJ you have ever heard, every night... but it is the only dance club in downtown Syracuse. The building is very nice.
The drinks were good, but the last couple times I've gone the DJ has sucked. He plays the same monotical beat in everything he plays. If you like EDM then it's for you, if you like a good mix then maybe not. Also I do have a friend who's blind who needs to seeing eye dog. And they do not allow service dogs into the bar. I find this kind of absurd sings how they have an outside patio area as well as plenty of space with couches that are out of the way. If you need an animal to lead you Benjamin's will coldly turn you away.
Packed, very hot inside, long wait at the bar. Does not justify a cover charge.
A cover every weekend? This place looks just as scummy as any typical Syracuse bar, the only difference is they have a horrible DJ and a red carpet at the entrance
Not a safe place for women. Security doesn’t care about anything but money at the door.
I’ve been asked to leave twice with no explanation. One of those times I was grabbed by the back of the neck by an employee. Will never go back.
Worst club in Syracuse, would never let my daughter go here. Very dangerous.
I am terribly disappointed and let down by Benjamin’s club’s inability to create a safe and secure environment for their patriots. The security man
Little to no space. Bad music..overpriced drinks
Definitely the place to go for creepy older men. If that's what you're looking for, check this place out because there's a ton of them. My advice is save the cover fee and go to Als. Better atmosphere and WAY less weird old guys.
Don’t come here. The staff is extremely rude. I stood on the high ground for 1 second (so I could look for my friend) and the security guard decided to push me off and assault me. Overall the staff is unfriendly and downright aggressive.
The bouncers are downright aggressive. He was being extremely rude to my friend and shoved him which was uncalled for. Also the 10$ cover is not worth it
Had my phone stolen there. Nobody from the staff wanted to be bothered with the problem. Never called back. Besides, when I came back to the place to deal with the situation at 5:30 pm, it was closed. Although on the website it says they open at 4:30. Very dissatisfied. Would not recommend this place
Rude staff, shocked the place is still in business.
Was having a drink and saw an interracial couple being harassed. Security then told the couple to leave and let the jerk stay! Bad. Vibes.
Next to impossible to get a drink if it's busy. It's a pretty decent music venue, or it could be. Like it once was.
Benjamin's, I wish youd become an adults only club. 30 plus. These kids have ruined experience w this place, plus, that corny a$$ bouncer out front, that need to change that clown out.
Bouncers are douches. This place likes to think they are a fancy night club.
The music is fine, but the dress code leaves something to be desired. No hats, no chains, no bandanas seems an awful lot like they're trying to keep a certain group of people away. 🧐 Rude staff, cover charges, and an air of pretentiousness.
Very rude staff who picks favorites and is rude to everyone else. Yelled at my friend for unknowingly going to wrong corner of bar and bartender made an extremely rude remark about it that was completely uncalled for. Apparently this bartender has a reputation for having a nasty attitude as was stated by multiple bystanders who witnessed what happened. After the incident they refused to serve us drinks because I told them not to be rude to my friend over a simple mistake that could’ve easily been handled, but ended up getting drinks from bystanders who saw the unfair situation unfold. Worst bar experience ever, lucky other people saw what happened.
They made me take off my leather vest, Hat and my brother's hat. Which would be okay but the coat room woman threw my $300 vest on the ground, and when i asked her to pick it up she got nasty with me. When we were leaving they refused to give us our stuff because we didn't have a ticket. Which they never gave me one to begin with. The coat room woman in the front had a nasty attitude and refused to give us our stuff. I had to have security make her give it to us. But they refused to give my brother his hat. Awful stuffy place.
One of my friend was trying to get on the high ground to look for a friend and the security guard decided to assault him and push him off. Had he not been gripping tight, onto the railing, he would’ve fell and smashed his head on the floor. This was unsafe and completely unwarranted and honesty seemed racially motivated. The staff here seems untrained and they were extremely unfriendly.
this place was so racist to me and my friends just because we had arab passports and they didn’t even let us in after we paid cover. very rude crew called us drunk even though we all didn’t drink. classic racist bad food terrible service.
Some of the most rude staff in Syracuse. They think they are some kind of exclusive club. They make people line up outside when the club is empty to appear popular, they are curt when taking drink orders. Bad drinks, annoying music. If you like getting treated like an jerk while overpaying for a cover and drinks you literally have to have no skill to make, this is the place for you.
The worst club in Syracuse!!! DJ's have no experiences in mixing music and the choices of songs are bad! I wouldn't even give one star if possible, but that's the only rating this club deserve! In addition, the security is aggressive and each individual security guy thinks that they own this property in any possible way!! Many other bars and opportunities in Syracuse to have fun and enjoy the night!
I've been here many times, but each time it felt like I was in a gay bar because of the terrible guy to girl ratio. Watered down drinks, mostly guys, and bad music. Would NOT recommend. Plus there is a cover fee.
One of my friend was trying to get on the high ground to look for my friend and the security guard decided to assault him and push him off. Had he not been gripping tightly onto the railing, he would have fell and smashed his head on to the floor. This was unsafe and completely unwarranted. The staff here is unfriendly and downright uneducated.
It is terrible waiting 25 minutes for a drink, there was not enough staff for a Saturday night. I only got 2 drinks in 2 hours because of the wait, there was more security guards then bar tenders. Very bad experience will not be returning.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a good time at this place. Has gone so downhill as far as security and safety. Unprofessional behavior by staff has left a bad taste in my mouth. I had a better experience at TREX. Yes trex. Don’t waste your time..
I'm completely fine with whatever political views people have, but when I'm just trying to get a drink and the entire staff of this place is beligerantly boasting Hillary Clinton to customers, that is when I have a problem. I don't agree with establishments having strongly outspoken political views, and although I don't have anything against Hillary, but I just think Benjamins should just stick to serving watered down drinks to sweaty men.
yeah... so when they getting new DJ's? cause this place is getting corny and empty they just eat cover fee's at this point from blindsided people ( literally can't see into the club to see how empty it is from the outside)
Seems like the clientele they want and cater to is like the aryan brotherhood light, and their employees don’t seem any better. Their excessively restrictive dress code makes it obvious they don't want a "certain type of people" coming in. Very aggressive and racist employees. The place fancies itself as some high end NYC club, but it's really just a stupid little basic b1tch bar with terrible DJs and a decent outdoor patio. Cherry on top is the expensive cover for a nearly empty place.
Had a bad experience here—the security at the front was rude and treated us unfairly. Wouldn’t recommend this bar in Syracuse. The security staff at the front were rude and discriminatory ( Racism) Overall, a terrible bar in Syracuse and 0/5 . If you guys wanna run a good bar teach your guys how to respect people over there !
The security was racist, they tried to kick us out for no reason and when we asked why, they punch one of my friend. Never coming here again. And from looking at the other reviews, this is not the first time some racial bias has happened. Wish I can give a negative star.
This place has really gone downhill, bad. I won’t be coming back. Please explain why there’s only one bathroom for men and women — on a busy Friday night there were over 50 women waiting in line! You’re losing business when people can’t easily access a bathroom and end up not wanting to buy more drinks. On top of that, it takes 20+ minutes just to get the bartender’s attention, only to be served an overpriced, watered down drink with barely any alcohol by someone who acts like they’re doing you a favor. Like be so for real. And who thought it was a good idea to keep the patio doors open when it’s 40 degrees outside? The cold air and cigarette smoke drifting into the dance floor make it unbearable to be in that area. Like do better, I used to genuinely enjoy coming here, but not anymore.
My partner wasn’t allowed in with a plain white t-shirt despite seeing 3+ other men with plain white shirts on. We were told months ago we could smoke in the courtyard but apparently the rules changed and the employees don’t have the manners or patience to tell customers. A security guard yanked my blunt from my hands from behind, making the cherry (actively burning end) fall onto my bare skin and go down my dress, burning me. No apology, he just yelled we could get banned and ran away before I could see his face or say something. It was rude, cowardly, and the vibes are trying to be upscale but in reality it is just arrogant. It’s Syracuse. get over yourselves. We also lost important cards the first time we went and never heard back from the club after reaching out to find them. This was our second and last time coming, it’s not a fun place for young people.
My friend came who was half black, with a silky on was not allowed entry due to a “ dress Code “ but the bouncer was letting white men in with baseball caps on. This brought up the fact that I found this racist and was not allowed entry myself, Due to bringing up this concern. I personally would never give this place my businesses ever again because of the blatant prejudice since their excuse was that “ headdresses” affect the camera view of people’s faces. How is a base ball cap okay but a hijab or “ durag” is not when a baseball cap blatantly blocks a persons face. This is openly racist and I am not okay with it. I will never give Benjamin’s on Fabian my money as a white woman ever again. I’m a Simply disgusted with their racist and precipice regulations.
Very racist bouncers. They said severely racial comments including calling people in line the n word. Before we decided not to enter the bar. Never seen such poor behavior in the service industry.
Security is extremely unprofessional and hostile. They aggressively shove people out the bar 20 minutes before they close and did not let us close our tabs out while screaming in our faces. They tried picking a fight with the crowd. Bartender and DJ are fine but after spending $200 at the bar we didn’t expect to be shoved out before close. Cops had to get involved to separate crowd and security. We will be filing a formal complaint.
I hate this place. Tonight the line for the women’s bathroom was out the door. I used and empty stall in the mens room quickly. When I finished and opened the door I was grabbed by a bouncer by the wrist and dragged out. A. There’s in adequate stalls supplied for women. B. what warranted this man to physically grab me without communicating to me. There were woman on the dance floor wearing no shirts, men molesting women on the dance floor unbothered, and I was kicked out for relieving myself in a private stall ? Horrible over priced drinks. Staff are Pompess children and inexperienced. Just down right hate this place. Prefer a more mature atmosphere.
