Siamo andati 2 volte in 3 giorni perché un giorno era riposo settimanale. Abbiamo preso spaghetti allo scoglio e polipo alla griglia. Talmente buono abbiamo ripreso lo stesso menù anche seconda volta. Spaghetti con frutti di mare cotto punto giusto e freschissimo. Polipo era morbido e si sentiva profumo di grigliata, migliore polipo abbia mai mangiato. Più buono di polipo assaggiato in Portogallo. Complimenti davvero al cuoco!! EN- Last day in Ortigia, time to review “Cod”, a place I enjoyed so much that I came over and over again for 4 days. Below are the dishes I loved till the very last bite with the regret of not having enough days to appreciate all the others. None of the ones I tried disappointed me and none were my favorites being all 10/10. Some of those listed and photographed here are off the regular menu (yes, in addition to the menu provided to you they have off-the-list options daily depending on availability). For those who have never eaten sea urchins, I can admit that these are perfect but their taste is not for everyone because their flavor is very particular. Don’t blame the chef ;) And what about the staff? Always welcoming, smiling and patient. Wonderful! Qui sotto i piatti che ho degustato fino all’ultimo boccone con il dispiacere di non avere abbastanza giorni per apprezzare tutti gli altri. Nessuno di quelli che ho provato mi ha deluso e nessuno è stato il mio preferito essendo tutti da 10/10. Alcuni di questi elencati e fotografati qui sono fuori dal regolare menù (sì, oltre al menu che vi viene fornito hanno opzioni fuori dalla lista giornalmente a seconda della disponibilità). Per coloro che non hanno mai mangiato ricci di mare, posso ammettere che questi sono perfetti ma il loro gusto non è per tutti perchè il loro sapore è molto particolare. Non incolpate il cuoco ;) E che dire del personale? Sempre accogliente, sorridente e paziente. Meravigliosi!

Tutto perfetto. Porzioni molto abbondanti, prezzo economico (in generale, ma soprattutto per la qualità e grandezza dei piatti!), menù variegato. Che dire.....FANTASTICO. Da notare: non accettano prenotazioni. I tempi di attesa potrebbero essere lunghi. Ci si segna in lista e poi il cameriere chiama al tavolo. Noi abbiamo deciso di sederci dentro, anche se faceva parecchio caldo, e ci ha dato il tavolo subito. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto e un primo. Fatti al momento, davanti ai nostri occhi. È stato piacevole anche il clima tra i camerieri e i cuochi, come essere in una cucina di famiglia. Per quanto riguarda il cibo davvero ottimo, di qualità e anche di grande quantità. Polipo alla griglia 14 euro e calamarata con vongole e pesce spada (abbondantissima, con più pesce che pasta) 16 euro. Tutto fantastico.

Bellissimo ristorante di pesce. Ottima frittura, primi piatti abbondanti e pulizia perfetta degli ambienti. A due passi da cala Rossa, una zona suggestiva che consigliamo di visitare. Torneremo sicuramente in questo piccolo e delizioso ristorante! Siamo tornati ieri dopo 7 mesi e niente, è il miglior posto in assoluto dove gustare molte prelibatezze a base di pesce a prezzi più che onesti. Il proprietario e tutto lo staff sono gentilissimi e molto veloci, è una meraviglia tornare qui. A presto!

Staff eccezionale e attento, accogliente dall’inizio alla fine, sono stati presenti per qualsiasi richiesta e problematica. Cibo oltre l’eccezionale, pasta alla norma con una porzione di pasta da 200g…. Buonissima. Frittura di calamari per una persona, porzione enorme e polpo tenerissimo e buonissimo, me ne sarei mangiata altri 3 piatti!! Per i dolci, mousse al cioccolato esageratamente buona, da creare dipendenza… Che dire, oggi è venerdì e domenica torneremo di nuovo. Grazie per la meravigliosa esperienza!

Una vera chicca in centro ad Ortigia! Siamo capitati qui per caso super affamati con tanta voglia di mangiare buon pesce, e questo posto ha superato le nostre aspettative. Personale giovane e gentile, hanno cercato di trovarci un tavolo immediatamente senza farci attendere, nonostante fossero le 10 di sera e non avessimo prenotato. Abbiamo mangiato una tartare di tonno sublime, e gli spaghetti allo scoglio penso fossero i migliori che io abbia mangiato in tutta la mia permanenza in Sicilia! Per non parlare della frittura, per niente unta, con una panatura bella fine e trasparente. Pesce fresco e ottimo. Prezzi davvero onesti rispetto alle porzioni abbondanti e alla posizione del ristorante. Bravi ragazzi, meritate!!

Da dove inizio...per elogiare questo posto? Siamo capitati per caso con la voglia di mangiare una pasta con le sarde e il risultato è stato innamorarci di tutto, del luogo, dell'ottimo cibo e abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo la professionalità, la simpatia e la competenza dei proprietari. Jessica dirige la sala da vera professionista, il servizio è veloce e anche se ci è toccato attendere un po' che si liberassero i tavoli, poi siamo stati ampiamente ripagati da ciò che mangiavamo, preparato con cura, gusto e generosità da Adriano e il suo staff! Alla fine siamo stati due giorni a Siracusa e per due sere abbiamo cenato qui, senza rimanere mai delusi, è già il nostro posto del cuore ad Ortigia, che è una cornice spettacolare! Consiglio vivamente di mangiare qui, tutto è buono, peccato non aver potuto mangiare ogni cosa ma sarà la scusa per tornarci. Menzione d'onore per la pasta con le sarde, squisita!

Spettacolare, ci è stato consigliato dal ragazzo che lavora in albergo difronte la stazione… e devo dire che non poteva farci consiglio migliore. Non ho mangiato una pasta con le vongole buona come quella sera. Lo chef sorridente e cordiale, peccato che vivo lontano da questo posto perché altrimenti andrei spesso. Le porzioni sono abbondanti io ho mangiato solo il primo ed ero sazia. I prezzi sono più che onesti. La pasta era della cottura giusta le vongole era spettacolari ,non c’era troppo olio, era ben bilanciata. Veramente ottimo. Anche la pasta di mio padre che era allo scoglio era buonissima ricca di pesce e ben bilanciata.

This is one of the most delicious trattorias I’ve eaten at in Sicily. The menu is small, but everything is very tasty. I ordered a Caprese salad, mussels in lemon sauce, and seabass — everything was excellent. A big plus is that they don’t close for the afternoon siesta. They don’t accept credit cards, so make sure to bring cash.

Food was absolutely amazing!!! Super good price and the portions were huge! We ordered probably too much but it was so good we finished it all. Definitely the best meal we had in Sicily. You can queue to sit outside which was cosier, but if you don't mind the atmosphere inside, you can go inside immediately. We care about the food much more so we were very happy to be able to sit down inside. The pistache pasta was great, seafood super fresh and everything tasted perfect!

The best calamari fritti I’ve had in Italy (and trust me, I’ve tried it almost everywhere)! We took it from the restaurant and enjoyed it by the rocks. it was absolutely wonderful. So fresh, crispy, and delicious. The staff were also very kind and welcoming. We liked it so much that we came back for dinner in the evening. I had the Carbonara, my husband had the seafood spaghetti, and both were absolutely fantastic. We also took a tiramisu to enjoy at home, the perfect way to end a perfect meal. OMG - is what we kept uttering throughout our lunch here. The restaurant is small and located in a very unassuming corner in the eastern coast of Ortigia. We sat on the outside terrace. The smell of fried seafood was a real teaser for us and the dishes did not disappoint! Loved vongole pasta and calamari, I eyed the dishes on the tables around us and would love to come back for all of them! Staff that introduced us to the menu was super lovely and knowledgeable, felt almost like we were in a proper nice restaurant with her service. Very good value for money too!

It is a place that offers amazing food, it was obviously fresh. Calamari were amazing, portion was quite big. Fish was fresh, octopus was great. Non fish dishes were also very delicious, we tried burger and chicken. The only thing is that it is on a small street and I was missing the view of the city or the sea. But the food was worth it. These prawns were so fresh and delicious that i could eat it without the lemon, same as the salad that has a good balance of salt. Chef might use a good EVOO. It seems like the ingredients are in top quality.. So, I decided to push my luck and order the spaghetti alle vongole. The spaghetti alle vongole is not only delicious but also huge! The vongole are perfect cooked tender texture with good sea aroma and good fresh clams flavor. The sauce got a well emulsion of oil, pasta water, and vongole juice that it was so thick. For me, a bit lacked of salt but we can solve that problem easily. Spaghetti, al dente. The service is good with 2 young waiters. We tried to book the table in advance, but they don't take reservations. So just walk-in is okay, Easy than many other place in italy. Recommended!!

Siamo stati qui per una cena con amici. Volevamo ordinare l’ arrosto misto di pesce e invece non era disponibile, considerando il fatto che nel menu sono presenti 4 secondi di pesce di cui 2 fritti, ecco che la cosa è molto limitante per chi non vuole il fritto. L’impepata di cozze e la caponata erano molto buoni, mi ha deluso le fish & chips, in particolare troppo salato il baccalà . L’inpiattamento poi non era dei migliori perché servito su una ciotola con le patate in fondo a tutto e ció le rendeva umide togliendone la croccantezza. la frittura di pesce buona ma anche essa troppo salata. Il servizio da migliorare, causa la barriera linguistica del cameriere ma capisco che per uno straniero è difficile parlare bene italiano. La location carina ma troppa puzza di pipi di gatto.

Molto deludente Alcuni anni fa, quando venni qui per la prima volta, rimasi colpita dall’alta qualità dei piatti e dal prezzo, sorprendentemente basso rispetto alla qualità. Il locale era molto piccolo e i tavoli e le sedie all’esterno non erano certo comodi, ma ci si dimenticava di tutto grazie alla straordinarietà del cibo. Questa volta, però, la mia impressione è stata, purtroppo, di grande delusione. Il ristorante si è spostato leggermente e speravo che fosse diventato più confortevole, ma all’interno faceva un caldo da sauna e all’esterno i tavoli e le sedie erano gli stessi piccoli arredi da giardino di un tempo. Il punto fondamentale, ovvero il cibo, è peggiorato: non posso dire altro che il gusto sia calato. La caponata sembrava semplicemente verdure fritte, senza un vero sapore. La pasta non era cattiva, ma nemmeno buona: era diventata il classico piatto “per turisti”. Inoltre, considerando quanto sono minuscoli i tavoli, servire la pasta in piatti enormi non aiuta: lo spazio sul tavolo si esaurisce subito. Forse lo chef è cambiato? Proprio perché conosco la straordinarietà di qualche anno fa, mi sento sinceramente delusa. Aggiungo anche che i tavoli all’esterno sono talmente vicini da essere quasi attaccati, e poiché è consentito fumare, è molto probabile ritrovarsi a mangiare circondati dal fumo e dall’odore di sigaretta, situazione davvero pessima.

Viste le notevoli recensioni positive, purtroppo decidiamo di andare a cena in questo ristorante. Da dove cominciare.. il mio pesce era crudo, il tavolino dava direttamente sulla canna fumaria, il servizio forse è stata la parte peggiore: è stato servito pane almeno del giorno prima, c’era una sfilza di camerieri seduti davanti al ristorante che fumavano di continuo e a guardavano video sul telefono divertendosi tra loro e dimenticandosi completamente che tu sei lì a cenare e che soprattutto stai pagando.
