The food was wonderful! I don’t understand where all the bad reviews are coming from, but I very much enjoyed my food! The woman at the window was so very kind and both my father and I loved the fish. I was given plenty of sauce and the hush puppies were delicious. I only came here because I work at Braum’s and we don’t have any fish products— was very pleasantly surprised!! <33 Wonderful experience

I was shocked at how good the food was here!! We ordered 3 Rice bowls. 2 with Salmon, one with Shrimp & Root Beers. The bowls were only $6.19 each. Flavors we ordered were Sweet Chile & Baja. Everyone loved their food & Root Beer. It was so good. The only thing that was a little hard with the order is that they were all really spicy hot. Like I couldn't finish it hot. So I will have it again but try for a mild version

LJS is always a little treat for my mother and I after our Dr appointment in Kaufman, and it's always been very good. But the last visit, size of the fish filets is noticeably smaller, but still delicious, and may have completely been a one-off. We will be going back on Tuesday so I will edit my review if the larger pieces *resurface* . 😅

There's something about the chicken that just makes me happy. The breading and spices are so unique and wonderful. I could eat it all the time. The employees were friendly and courteous. I can't say anything about the rest of the menu, but the LJS chicken is where it's at! Please don't ever change the recipe. There is only 1 downside about this location. AndI'm not complaining at all, but the interior could use some updating. Overall experience was excellent! Way to go LJS!

The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4 stars is because it was very late when I stopped in to pick up something to take home. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The food was very good. I miss being able to go down the road and getting Long John Silvers. I hope this place endures. It was something I hadn't had in years.

Ordered online. Online didn't confirm order or allow for a later pickup. So called Terrell LJS...they confirmed they received the order & it was ready. I told them we would be late. Due to weather we were even later. They were great! Food was fresh & hot as if just cooked! They kept it hot for us! We were very appreciative. They cared and were extremely nice.

Found out they have an all you can eat option with fish, chicken, and 2 sides for 8.99. Better deal than ordering a meal even if you only eat one plate. First plate comes with 3 pieces, hushpuppies, and choice of 2 sides. Next plate has 2 pieces of meat and sides if you want them. Food was fresh, greasy, and hot. Just what you would expect from here. My biggest issue was the service. The woman working the counter was a bit rude and never stayed in sight when someone needed to order. Always had to hunt her down.

I have always liked Long John Silver's. I love their fish a good price their chicken is good they're generally Central centrally located. The people are usually nice and friendly. They have great meals at a great price not to mention root beer love root beer

They were very slow through the drive thru.( that's the bad), but a young man walked out to explain to me and the other 4 people in line, that they were down to 1 fryer..He was very polite and apologetic. .There was another young man who took care of me at the window too, who was very polite as well..I wish I would have gotten there name's. .It shows a lot of character to hold it together when it's busy and things are going bad ..Good job!!

I got my order through the drive through since I didn't have time to eat in. My lunch was tasty, and the staff was friendly. I was somewhat shocked at the cost however, as I didn't expect to pay $15 for my fast food lunch order. They apologized and told me they had raised their prices recently.

I stop at a Long John Silvers on average of twice a month, but I have never ordered a hamburger (it comes with mayo). My wife did, she said it was better than a Sonic single meat burger but not as good as an In and Out single. She did say the spicy PaPa sauce was fantastic, she dipped her fries in it. I ordered the usual, several orders of shrimp and two fish. I also ordered three chicken strips for someone at home. I enjoyed everything I ordered but I'm always the eternal optimist that the shrimp and fish will be larger on the next order, I know it's just a pipe dream. They did forget my drink and I didn't remember to look, all for $24.75

We have AYCE on some Sundays. I really like the fish better but the chicken is ok too..i have the cole slaw and green beans and i really enjoy them..thier corn and is good too..thier frys are not all they seem to be tho, but its ok, its better to have the veggies.. the ice cream and floats are 💯.

Went through the drive thru and ordered. Checked my bag to make sure everything was there. The correct amount ordered but next time I will check inside each box we were shorted 2 Cole slaws that was supposed to b in our fish and shrimp dinner.

We were greeted by one of the friendliest ladies ever. Our food was hot and fresh. The place is a little run down, but what LJS isn't. Lol. We will definitely be back!

We hadn't been to a Long John Silver's in quite a while, but the food was just as good as we remembered. There was some confusion when ordering, however. I had previously looked at this restaurants online menu and decided on what to order. However, the baskets were not shown on the posted menu inside. After I described to the young man working the register what I wanted, he asked the manager in the back, and she replied, "If it's not up there, we don't have it." Finally, while looking at the register menu, the young man found the baskets there, and I was able to order.

Not sure why there are so many complaints about this place. The food I got was delicious But I would say that I did have to wait fairly long in the drive-thru just for my own order. There was no one else in line, and it still took upwards of 15 minutes to get the food. But overall it was still delicious and the staff was very friendly. Will be returning.

Long John Silver's in Terrell Texas is a quaint cozy little place on Moore Avenue that serves shrimp , fish, chicken, crab cakes , french fries, and coleslaw. (Well that was my order) All items were fresh and delicious. If you are a root beer fan please try their A&W root beer.

The food is up to par - standard LJS/AW menu, but the building badly needs renovation. Entering from the west parking lot, the first thing you'll notice is the strong smell of mildew and wood rot. The main dining room is small but smells OK. Counter staff seems to run from indifferent to average. Although I enjoy LJS fish, I seldom eat here because just don't want to enter the building.

This franchise used to be one of the best and still none else really sells fish. But they have really gone down hill in the last few years. If you want fish stay home and cook it yourself.

Their food tastes great, but the service is so bad that we have left after waiting 15 minutes, and no one was in line ahead of us. The employees just walked around and said nothing to us.

Not happy with some changes that they have made. Mayo, relish, and malt vinegar doesn't make for tasty tartar sauce. 😝 Also I had the $3.99 Fish and Shrimp, the pictures show 3 shrimp and I only got 2.😭 Staff is nice and it's not as crowed since the tables and booths have been moved around.

Well let me tell ya, I seldom pass up a Long John Silvers for lunch because they are so few and far between. So we stop in at the drive-thru and order two platters by the number (2 different numbers) the line is slow because the food is on point and everyone wants some. We get to the pickup window and the lady tells me the total and it’s way to little. I asked her if that amount was for both platters and then she said no you only ordered one. So I stated “No ma’am, I ordered this number and this number” and she rolls her eyes and tells her partners to drop more shrimp and then apologizes to them and her body language tells me she is upset with me. I am sorry she felt that way, but where is the customer service? Sorry I will rethink a second visit here.

The fish is as good as I remember when I was young. The service however extremely poor. The lady answered the drive thru window with "What you want?" I paid with a cash. And she asked me you no got a credit card? I said that I wanted to pay cash. She acted like it made her mad. She had to call the cook to help her make change for a $20. No wonder they are closing all of them. Shame.

Food was not as good as last time I went there. My fish Sandwich was old, and the fries were old also, so it threw off an otherwise good meal

Long John Silvers has been around since I was a kid. This location was about par for what I seen for the last few years. The food was good, the service was minimal and the restaurant dining area and restrooms need severe attention. The self-service counter was not very clean and the floors where very questionable and there was a faint oder of backed up sewer line or grease trap. They where limited to only a select few drink choices.

I haven’t been to a Long John Silver in years! I was pretty excited until I walked in. Not a friendly person in the house. No smiles, no greeting, just scowling people. The food was soso but not like I remember and the price of the food was just ridiculous since there were 2 of us and we both got 2 pieces of fish and 1 vegetable for $23. The building smelled old and musty as well. Guess it’s true that nothing good lasts forever.

Place is quite rundown, used to be partnered with A&W but that's gone so no more frosty mugs of A&W. The people are generally friendly, and the food is exactly what you'd expect. We go every once in a while but it's not a regular stop for us.

Ordered lobster bites by themselves and the meal, both were good tasting buttery and crispy but I only got 5 lobster bites in the meal and 5 in the order by themselves and if you think this is bad wait till you see how small they are, were talking at most they are the size of a quarter. They taste great just needs some price adjustment for the quantity.

The food what's great the reason it's only getting two stars is that the staff told us that it was closed when we check the sign it had an hour-and-a-half before it was too close then we called the store and the manager said that they were open that we could come on in they had already broke down everything and cleaned up the place so we didn't get the tapped A&W Root Beer just out of the machine the milkshake machines had already been cleaned so we were limited there for a place like this that doesn't get that much business it seems I going to be a good idea to stay open until they are supposed to close once we went in about five other families came in because they finally saw cars and people there so maybe keep your hours up and not tell people that you're close before you're really closed and you'll actually get some money

French fries were cold on all three orders and half of the hush puppies were too. The root beer had to much vanilla. The fish was good and hot though.

Went to drive thru. I asked for extra tarter sauce... I was asked to pull over and wait. I waited for 15 minutes. Finally got my order with 2 packs of tarter sauce for a full platter. Smh.

Well...we didn't die or get food poisoning so I gave them 2 stars for that. Place seemed a little shady. Tartar sauce looked like it sat out too long so we didn't try it. Guy at the front counter was polite though.

I haven't been to a Long John Silver's or this location in particular in over 20 years. This visit was at the Terrell Texas location 02-08-2022 around 1:00PM. I ordered the #10 (2 fish, 6 shrimp, 2 sides). I got extra hush puppies because I remembered them being very good and cole slaw. The fish, shrimp and hush puppies were entirely to greasy. To the point that you didn't want to lick your fingers because grease was dripping off of them. Everything was hot and moist, but just to greasy. Like they reheated it in grease or the grease wasn't hot enough and soaked into the food when cooked. The other person I was with ordered the same, except got french fries and cole slaw as sides. The cole slaw and french fries were actually very good. The inside of the building could use some sprucing up, it's beginning to look it's age and outdated. The staff were nice and very polite from our short interactions with them. I will not be going back to this location or probably any other Long John Silver's any time soon. I hope they make some changes in the near future to the way they prepare there food.

Hated this as I was really wanting. LJS and it was really disappointing. Staff was not busy. Not sure why they were not cleaning tables and beverage area. We will not be back.

I am not sure why anyone eats here or how they are still in business. We were the only ones eating here, and we were only there because my 85 year old father asked for it. With so few customer, I would expect the place to be spotless, but we were sorely disappointed. When we walked up to the counter, we had to stand there for a while as the cashier was too busy playing Bubble Blaster on her phone. I finally just had to get her attention. The food gave us all heartburn as we had to make an emergency stop to Roland's. I hope he never asks to go back.

Everyone was nice and great until the food came. It’s like flipping a switch. Would it be to much to ask for fresh fried fish. Not stuff that’s been sitting under a heat lamp for however long. The service here is absolutely awful! We came in and could see no one but the drive-thru person. She had to tell the person in the back that we were there. Then when she came up she was talking about something that was going on back there. She rang us up and couldn't the credit card machine to work. It took here and the drive-thru person 5 minutes to figure it out. They had to ring it up on another register. While that was going on a young African American came by without a hair net on. His afro was large and I think he was the cook. Scary! Also the place was dirty! The food was good, but it doesn't make up for the service!

Tried to dine in, employee was outside sitting in chair with sandals on playing with her feet. She came inside did not wash her hands and went straight to work. We left without ordering. Just plain disgusting.

It seems as if the employee's at this location are trying to have it shut down. I travel 30 minutes away to find ljs. They close earlier than posted, so there is no reason they should have such a dirty restaurant. The food is rarely correct, and is hardly ever cooked properly. I try to avoid absolutes like saying never, but I havnt experienced anything good yet. And lawd have mercy if you want to speak to a manager.

Here at the restaurant right now. I've come here now 4 times and the customer service has been consistently RUDE!!! They have NEVER greeted me, or said thank you!! Horrible service drive thru only amd I was given a box of fried crisps instead of clam strips. Ive eaten here for years and this place has gone down hill. I paid 20$ for a meal and they gave me no fries theres a total 4 in my box and tried to cover up the clam strips.

Visited LJS in Terrell, Tx, store 70254 @ 615 W. Moore. At the conclusion of my payment, Jamarviet tore off the bottom portion of my receipt (see pic) which I could see included a QR code and handed me the top portion. When I asked why she tore that part off she stated "we have to tear that part off." Now she didn't offer to show me what "that part" was, nor did she give me "that part" which clearly was portion of MY receipt. Then she made eye contact with guy in kitchen and gave a slight eye buck and smirk. This creates a breach for consumers! Was this an offer for the future that she was taking for herself, or was this an attempt to steal my credit info? I will be calling corporate as well as looking for another LJS. I expect a call from manager or district mgr. Very suspicious and shows lack of consumer concern.

Great root beer! Great food! AWFUL STAFF the lady who took are order got it wrong twice and then got the drinks wrong she then gave us fish and chicken when we ordered burgers and the fish was old! I will go back but i will have to talk slow to the crack head at the window. 03/23/19. ( 2:00pm)

Lobby closes at 9pm so we went through the drive through around 9:10. Got to the speaker and we could not understand what the employee was saying. We stared on our order and we were told that there was a 20 minute wait because they have already cleaned and shut off the grill. Apparently they also shut down the fryers because we asked for the fish that was deep fried instead and the fryers were being cleaned as well. Store closes at 10:00. I sure hope all employees clock out at that time since they start shutting down an hour ahead. They get one star because giving them a negative is not possible

In drive thru she asked for my order said it will be 25 to 30 minutes I got up to window got my food it was cooked earlier and heated back up in oil so it was over cooked. And they acted like I was bothering them because I was there. Never going back it was a waste of my time and money.

Im only giving this a star because I have to. Pulled up to the drive thru an hour before closing and tried to place an order. Everything we tried to order we were told was unavailable due to the grill and fryer being cleaned. Told us we would have to wait at least 20 minutes. This was an hour before closing. Person taking the order was rude and could barely speak clearly... Slurring their words. I'll be going to a different location from now on.

If I could give them a zero star I would. The staff are very rude and dont care about their customer . They are extremely slow when you go through the drive thru. I ordered a 2 fish and 6 shrimp meal and when I arrived home and opened up my food I was given a 2 cod strip meal with the wrong side . I called the store to ask them what to do to rectify it and the employee on the phone argued with me about what number the meal was on their menu. If you have to have long John's I'd recommend finding a different one because the one it terrell sucks

If I can give this place a "no" star, I would. We came to Tyler for business and my wife had a sudden craving for root beer float. I found this Long John Silver which also serves A&W items. The voice of the person taking the order was just grouchy at the drive thru speaker. Upon pulling up to the window, there was no smile or greeting. When I asked for a spoon, she just waved me off indicating they have no spoon. A fast food restaurant serving ice cream float and doesn't have any spoon. Really? Anyways, I hope the owner of this location will see this review and hopefully can improve their customer service. I can say for sure now that I will not patronize this location the next time I come to Tyler.

Went through the drive thru and ordered a 16-piece meal (12 fish and 4 chicken). The menu stated that for an additional $2.59, you can get cheese bites as a side with your meal. I tried to order the cheese bites, and the woman taking the order practically shouted that I couldn't get that as a side for any additional price. Whatever, right? I ordered my food and had to clarify 6 times that I wanted 12 pieces of fish and 4 pieces of chicken. $55.58 and 20 minutes later, I get my food and drive 45 minutes home. When I got home, I found out that I had gotten 3 pieces of fish and 7 pieces of chicken (not even 12 pieces total, and DEFINITELY, not what I had ordered). I tried calling the restaurant 4 times to see what would be the best way to handle this problem, but nobody would answer the phone. I drove back over there to get the problem fixed, and the same woman was working at the window. She took the food that I had driven all the way home with and that I had broken every piece of fish and chicken in half to see what it was. I then had to wait 30 minutes for them to correct the order. When I told her that I had tried to call, she rolled her eyes and said,"Well... apparently the phone isn't working, is it?" I love long john silver, but I will NEVER stop at the one in Terrell again. Diners beware!

Worst Long John Silvers ever. Employees are horrible, specifically the girl in the drive through. Sat at the intercom for 10 mins and decided to drive up to the window to find her playing on her phone. Finally took my order once I got home (25 min drive) turned out to be the wrong order, didn’t give me any condiments after I asked her for some. The corn was very salty. Money down the drain. Ordered the grilled salmon with shrimp. Got pieces of salmon no shrimp. Salty corn and soggy fries. Which I didn’t even order fries. I ordered coleslaw.

Terrible everything. We pulled up and the front door was locked so we went through the drive through. I ordered cod off the menu and she replied ( we don't do cod) I was wondering why the front door is locked when it clearly says on the hours OPEN mind you this is 7 pm so we ask after getting the food and she said closed early and I asked everyday she said yes I then asked what time she said 6. Well 6 is fine I suppose but it would be nice if it was posted on something, anything like maybe online or on the front door. Now let's go to the food! Like I said earlier terrible terrible, the fish was not the Cold side and dried out and the shrimp had a texture and taste of something being left out in the Texas sun for a week or so but my friend chicken was hot so maybe eat the chicken IDK and the rest you can probably guess. We will not be back to this location infact after the taste left in my mouth this may be the last time for long johns if not at least for a very long time.

The cashier Mr. DeMarcus was such a great person with a wonderful personality and spirit. The food was good but not hot at all. I had the sampler with Shrimp, chicken and fish. Again it was good but not Hot at all any of the meats. As I sat to enjoy my meal one of the black female employees was playing her phone with different loud obnoxious music until I had to say something to her about it. That was followed by snickering and occasionally doing it again. I'll never ever come here to eat again and I'll be telling everyone else to not support this Particular L.J.S. here n Terrell TX. I payed my money to sit and eat in peace and got the opposite. The other employees sitting over here by me were nice and quiet except the one black female with the music and taking orders from over here on a headset. Please look at your surveillance footage from this day and time.

Now I know why I stopped going to Long John Silver’s in Terrell, Texas. The food was awful, fish was dried out & cold, hush puppies were so hard you could play hockey & use them as the puck. The shrimp was okay, but cold & the batter was falling off of them. I hope someone can go in & fix the problem.

The fish tasted like bad grease. Staff did not seen to care. The only real saving grace was the green beans and coleslaw with were good.

The restaurant was extremely dirty. The grease was old and my food was over cooked. I couldn't cut my fish with a knife.

This location is run down and very dirty. Drink machine had cleaning supplies next to it. Food was not good. It was not hot even though I was the only customer. Bathroom door was half open and the door was black from the floor 2 feet up. Condiment counter had been neglected and was out of most things.

Spent $50 on 3 meals. Waited at least 10 minutes in the drive thru, got home and no sides were there except cold hard fries. The fish was soggy, they had no chicken for A&W (I just think they didn't want to cook it to be honest). Everything tasted like it was already made hours prior- I won't waste my money there again.

I tried to go here on a Sunday afternoon around 5:30p to get something to eat, but it looks like they are mostly closed. Looks like the main dining area was unavailable, the drive up window was the only available option today. Please be cautious if you would like to eat here.

It's carry out only they have posted on door but they have other people in there eating but told me and my husband no dine in what's going on with this ???!!! So we are caucasian the people eating are African Americans sitting in the supposed closed dining eating from what we seen that they are allowed to eat in but refused us ! even if they worked there they should be eating where paying customers or were gonna be paying not see them in the supposed closed dining room they were eating in. The employee behind counter tells us to have a nice day after we were refused to eat inside & seeing others sitting and eating are you kidding me ! I don'tunderstand why we weren't allowed to eat in but let us say we won't ever stop in a LJS again that's for sure!

Bread was not cooked it was soggy. The salmon plate tasted spoiled had to throw both meals away that were purchased there will not go back it was spoiled and not cooked. Just lost 24 dollars down drain and still had to come home and cook

Terrible. Took near 20 minutes to get food . we had a chili dog, chili was plum nasty tasting. I got 2 fish one was good other was old say awhile something not edible . they forgot my huspuppies went back up to check and they gave me flat nasty looking huspuppies done on one side not the other . we don't live near a ljs so I was excited to stop :(
