This place had amazing food for good prices, and s huge great bar. had the world Series game on at least 20 TV s, 3 over 8 feet wide, after the game, the lights ans music turn on and they switch to club mode. This place is great.
There is variety of great food and affordable! I love taking a loaf of their homemade bread, to go. Try the bbq chicken pizza, bacon wrap shrimp, chicken wings, burgers, mozzarella salad ( rolled grilled eggplant stuffed with basil on fresh mozzarella and tomato, with legit salad) and Creole pasta. The kitchen is open till 0145am, every day. They have daily specials and wonderful breakfast menu on Sunday brunch. The drinks are poured well and not outrageously priced. The bar is large with lots of seating, great for cozy areas and places to join the crowd. The DJ on the busy nights play good jams, and just good time to have locally.
We went to Sunset Terrace for a 60th birthday!! Had a great time the service was superb. Gorgeous Lauren our server was very sweet with a big smile and there was alot of us! The beautiful bartenders kept up with all of the drinks so we never had to wait. Food was amazing thanks to the owner Tyrone!
Over the years, I have frequented The Sunset, a coastal establishment that I deem a hidden gem. Its beachfront setting offers an exquisite view that can be enjoyed while partaking in either lunch or dinner. The availability of valet parking augments the experience and is certainly a helpful amenity. Despite its crowdedness, a predictable outcome, I am satisfied with my visits to The Sunset. In terms of food and service, I would rate it 4 out of 5. While still admirable, there is some room for improvement. Nevertheless, I have no complaints and will undoubtedly continue to patronize The Sunset.
I left the spices. I think I’ve been gone here for I don’t know. I wanna say more than a handful of years. I’m trying to book my birthday party here because they just put in some bowling alleys. I don’t wanna let the whole world know. 😚
Update: Pizza! It's amazing! Top quality pizza that hits all the marks. I've been coming here for years, since they were a small restaurant in Moorpark. The quality of food hasn't changed, in fact it's improved with the new pizza oven. This Restaurant has Chevron Star quality food. The bacon wrapped shrimp are a must have appetizer. The menu is full of great entrees and the staff is really helpful. They seem to have a very large bar area, which I have not visited, and seem to host many live TV events. I have enjoyed visiting during their lunch hours.
I came here for a friends birthday and the service was great. The happy hour drinks were delicious and the happy hour fish tacos were fantastic. The ambiance is like a fun sports bar and looks like a fun place to hang out with your friends and watch the game or play pool. Overall, I wish I lived closer to make this a regular stop in my week.
The new bowling alley is great! Food is amazing and service is outstanding. It's a great environment and an excellent addition to our community.
Service could be better but their drink specials are unbeatable. Massive cheap and strong drinks make up for everything else!
A very lively spot for a drink or food and to watch a game. They also have a number of pool tables if that's your thing. Decent service and good food.
Who ever makes the pizza, it’s so good!!
Just the right amount of wait time; not rushed, but long enough to give you time to talk and examine the menu. The drinks are high volume and high alcohol content, certainly worth the value. A tankard of a Mojito is a good buzz! The food is tasty, including the kids menu, and features a variety of cuisines including American and Japanese. The decor is warm and intimate in the booths, and offers a classic bar scene with pool and darts for entertainment. This is kind of a perfect place, definitely coming back.
This restaurant never misses!! Anytime of day or night you are guaranteed the best meal. Everything it’s absolutely delicious and in a sleepy town like Thousand Oaks, it’s nice to know I can always count on Sunset Terrace to serve some great tastings! Casual and cozy vibe,!great activities like pool & a juke box too.
Ari was our waitress. She was awesome. Very attentive and friendly. Ari did a great job taking care of our every need. Even my picky friends drink orders! Lol. She was sweet and amazing. Keep up the great work Ari!
I was staying in Newbury Park with a friend and a case of almost mid night munchies had me at this great little restaurant and bar for their Monday night special, two Hawaiian sliders(sliders with teriyaki sauce, caramelized onions, provolone cheese, and pineapple) with sweet potato fries. It was fabulous! It was enough for 2 people and was only $7 so it was not only delicious but economical as well, I would highly recommend trying this special or any of their other weekday specials
Family friendly staff, great food, fantastic service! This place is severely underrated. There's a bartender named Adam that is so knowledgeable and super hot too! I highly suggest you sit in his section and ask for him by name. You won't be disappointed. Tell him Britt sent you.
Never had a bad meal here. The service is absolutely fantastic and the people get to know who you are. Love going there. And the prices don't kill you!
Crystal and Acacia made not only me but EVERYONE feel welcome and also important. they handled the whole bar and it got pretty busy. a bar is really judged off of the people that serve the customers and i think Sunset scored big with these two. I've been going to Sunset for over 10 years and I have learned good service and good people. whoever management is that hired the new staff after COVID did a great job!
We had our end of year annual holiday party at Sunset Terrace and it was great. If you’re looking for an event space they had plenty of room to accommodate a large party. I reached out last month and Tyrone was easy to work with. He assisted in coming up with a menu and planning the event. We had the front section to ourselves with plenty of room for our party and then were able to move to the bowling area after dinner. Everyone had a great time. The cost was within budget and the service was great. We appreciated everyone’s effort in putting this on.
I visited this place a few months ago and enjoyed the overall experience. I had my laptop with me and needed a place to charge it. Unfortunately, the only seat where there was an electrical outlet was at this table that had video Pacman on it. To make matters worse, I was sitting next to a very loud speaker. But I was able to sit down and work on my laptop, which was all I really cared about at the time. That being said, the place was quite crowded for a Monday night. It was about 11:30pm when I arrived to this place and there were still a lot of people sitting. So that tells me that this place does a very good business, especially on the weekends. The atmosphere is very cool. I'd call it more of a bar, arcade and tavern feel on the weekdays but I'm sure on weekends and other prime days, it has more of a club, dance, and party feel to it. And while the bar is right in the middle of the floor, there is a lot of space and various areas to chill throughout the building. As far as food, I ordered the Hawaiian sliders. They were good; very soft and flavorful. I ordered them with sweet potato fries. Overall, this place seems like it can serve a wide range of clientele, despite of it being a bar. It can see it being very family friendly during the day, yet having a strong element of nightlife on weekends. Just my speculation though. As for the food, it was good but there seemed to be a very wide range of options to choose from.
I recently put in a good word for this sunny place recommending it at NextDoor, as I re-discovered it after several years. Its menu has been enhanced by a variety of wholesome healthy items. This place indeed serves good versatile meals; one of our favorites Japanese Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box includes finest California sushi rolls, Oriental salad, Edamame, steamed Rice and Miso soup. I like adding sides of skilfully prepared Mixed Veggies, Grilled Chicken Breast, Rice, or Fresh Fruit. Large Sunset Waldorf salad has Mixed Greens, Strawberries, sliced Green Apple, dried Cranberries, Granola, Bleu Cheese crumbles, Grapes, Celery and candied Pecans. Choice of seating indoor or outdoor next to the Regal Janss Marketplace Theater plaza, or a takeout. Excellent service from genuinely nice people like Charleena and Beauty add good vibes and pleasure from the meals and the outdoor terrace right on the plaza and fresh water fountain)))
We decided to rent out a couple bowling lanes for my daughter's 11th birthday party and they all had a blast! Tyrone and his wife Elena were wonderful at hosting and meeting whatever needs we had. Tyrone was great at communicating the details of the party weeks leading up to the event. The food was great (we ordered pizza, chicken tenders, and fries - typical kids party menu, but it was a hit! and my daughter devoured the chicken tenders!) We are definitely coming back. Highly recommend this place just to hang out or to book a bowling party!
My family went been there for football all of the 2023/24 season. The staff there is best. We would come in only on sundays and by the third time they knew our order. We loved this place so much and we hosted my son’s bar mitzvah on Star Wars day in the bowling alley/restaurant area. It was one of the best parties of the season. Prior to my party I had sent the owner a photo of a Yodarita and asked if we could serve those for adults - and they made them, and they were perfect. They made the day so special. But beyond that they make us feel important every time we go there.

Adam is next level on his service for all of his patrons! Tuesday pork sliders are amazing along with all of the other options. Love playing pool and watching sports. A good place all around!!!!
Sunset Terrace is my "GO TO" social and sports bar in Thousand Oaks. By far they have the best happy hour on weekdays 3 - 7 pm. (Drinks - 50% off / Food - 25% off). They have plenty of pool tables, big screen TVs, and the only bowling alley (4 lanes) in town. The crowd is mostly locals who welcome newbies and make them feel right at home. The bartenders and servers are friendly and efficient and I rate their food a #10. The have security and I like the fact that never have I seen a fight there. Give it a try and I promise you can't go wrong. Thanks for reading this, Bruce Love
Love this place! Local, family-owned sports bar. You really feel at home here and they have tons of seating, TVs, 4 pool tables, and newly added mini-bowling. I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years and never been disappointed. Great appetizers, pizzas, and a menu for everyone. Taco Tuesday and Sushi Thursday are personal favorites, but any day is perfect for grabbing some grub and having drinks with friends to watch your favorite teams play!!
I love this place!! Great food, drinks, bartenders and a lot of entertainment was available! I absolutely loved Crystal at the bar!
Chose this as a last minute decision with some friends of mine because the menu looked very diverse, and I figured there was something for everyone. One person got the bento box with steak and said that everything was very good, another person got the chicken Cobb salad and said it was also very good, I got the Creole pasta and I could not have been happier! It was very good, however I do not advise getting it spicy, as the regular order was definitely spicy enough. Good size portion too, I ended up taking half of it home and when I reheated it the next day it was still really good, if not better! I highly recommend this place. The prices were very reasonable, to the point of me being a little surprised. Our waitress was very sweet as well.

I love this place. Some reasonably healthy choices or maybe it's your cheat day. Either way very tasty entrees. Portions, plan on taking some home. Cocktails are top notch, personal favorite, Moscow Mule. Service very friendly and professional but wait time for your meal can be excessive. Suggest you don't go if you r in a hurry and order 1 extra cocktail in advance. Though u may wait for your meal you are seated right away and the bread is brought to the table promptly. Bread is to die for. Lighting and ambiance is such that you expect to bump into Humphrey Bogart or Carey Grant. Overall experience a 4 1/2 out of 5.
Giving this a 4 star because there is absolutely no place in Thousand Oaks that serves food and drinks past 10pm. The kitchen here is open until 1:45am!! This place was a little dead when we entered at 11pm but it started getting livelier as the night went by. They had a few games like shuffle board, pool, Pac-Man. The pizza was good and their popular bacon wrapped shrimp was not good.
nice place to hang out and enjoy some cold drinks with lots of goos appetizers to choose from

Visiting from out of state and discovered that this place has the best chicken soup I have ever tasted. The waitress recommended it. She was right. Now it seems warm for soup, but it was good.
My entire family enjoyed a private party on the new bowling alley side of the restaurant. The kids, between 10 - 14, had a great time bowling while the parents hung out and talked over drinks. The restaurant set out a buffet dinner which most everyone enjoyed. The staff was incredible. They stayed alert and made sure to constantly check in to see if anyone needed anything. A great and unique experience and we'd definitely consider booking a private party there in the future.

Not sure about this one. the food used to be really good and it was the best happy hour in town. We ate there the other day and it was not great. I can't go during the summer becuase they don't turn on the AC? I don;t know how you work in that kind of heat but they do. And it's not pleaseant when it's 80 degrees inside. I know power is expensive but you need to make it happen.
When we arrived the patio was not that busy, but Charleena our server appeared frazzled. I ordered a fume blanc and learned later it was chardonnay. I thought it tasted unusually dry but since I normally order sauvignon blanc I didn't question it until the bill came. Server removed the item. Baja fish tacos and philly cheese steak wrap were nothing special. Not certain we'll return.
Went to the bar area in this lounge last night. I ordered the strongest drink they offer. It was neon blue colored and I ordered the large. Sorry I don’t remember what it’s called because I rarely order mixed drinks at bars. Anyway, it was mostly ice in my cup which was just really annoying and it was so weak I couldn’t even taste the alcohol. This drink costs $17 btw. Very disappointed but kinda not surprised. Thanks for reminding me why to don’t go to bars 🤣

Food and drink were good . Service was good. Atmosphere and comfort were sub-par. Stools were in various stages of disrepair, falling apart, torn, and uncomfortable. Lighting maintenance took place right over our tables during happy/ dinner hour. Not acceptable in a dining establishment.
Ouch, what a bummer for Thousand Oaks. Low rating for bad service but 2 stars for a really good pitcher of margaritas. Place was pretty dead for a Wednesday (we had come from a busy happy hour so Sunset Terrace was an extra buzzkill). Us 30-somethings stopped by to be greeted rudely by the bar staff and what seemed like a manager. Didn't know what drinks they had but they didn't want to tell us either. I paid to play some songs on the jukebox and was told by the gentleman behind the bar that they wouldn't be played because "the game's on". I guess only go there if you want to watch sports.
The bartenders are typically only friendly if they know you, which is just had business, but hey, that’s their tips. My main issue is the security guard. This guy has to be a family friend or something because it blows my mind that they would employ this guy. He walks around menacing people and trying to act like a tough guy while patrons are just trying enjoy the place. The guy is super rude and is definitely looking to start altercations. You’re a security guard bro, do your job and stop trying to play Billy Badass. It’s a bummer because the atmosphere is awesome in there but between the rude bartenders and Timmy Toughknuckles the bouncer, I don’t see why anyone would go here instead of just going 5 minutes around the corner to Dave and Busters.

We went there last night, Aug 26th around 11pm and the service was horrible. I went with my boy who's also a bartender, so we're incredibly patient if the bar is slammed but it wasn't. They were talking to eachother most of the time, it took me 20 minutes to get a drink, and they were rolling their eyes at us and giving us attitude the whole time. Literally rolled her eyes right in front of my boyfriend when he said he didn't want another beer. We always tip 50% and this was the first time we just decided not too. So incredibly rude.
Went here for the Seattle Seahawks game. Have a feeling this place is struggling or is severely miss managed! The place is know for a Seahawks fan bar, so you would think they would prepare with staff.. Nope, everyone around complaining about not being able to get a drink.. Myself included. Ordered chips and salsa and boneless wings.. Both where terrible!! The chips were refried with very old deep frier oil.. The only reason to refry chips would be due to old chips.. The Guacamole was more tomato than Avocado. Okay, onto the bad stuff!! I ordered the boneless wings with Frank's hot sauce.. Came out dry with a little cup of Frank's hit wing sauce.. The wing was something close to Tyson chicken bites.. The sauce was gone in three of the chicken bites, so we asked for another sauce.. Another little cup was delivered 20 minutes later.. And when I got to bill.. Was charged fifty cents. I felt like I was in a bar that needed to be on bar rescue.. Because it is!!! Gave one star, because it didn't have half star! Advice to ownship.. Great location, get real with your menu. Burgers, sushi, Mexican, salads, pizza.. I see that and it's a indicator that nothing will be good. I am sure the kitchen is completely crazy. Turn the music down.. It was driving people out of your bar. Hire and manage staff!!! Bar needed a rebuild and give your employees more power, told the bartender that the chips were bad and the bartender said I need to check with the owner.. Are you kidding me? Almost got up and walked out then.
Hi so I went to sunset on 6/20/2019 mainly because I love Tuesday specials. Now one thing about the bar here that I notice a while back is the bartenders are rude. I only ever get beers here I always ask for more lime because I like a lot in my beer and they always seem to be bothered when I ask them their assistance. After we got our drinks we went to sit down. After a while of sitting down we saw an OFF clock bartender go into the bar area. We then were so grossed out to see that bartender put her dirty hands NOT once but at least 3 times in the bin of limes to put in the little lime boxes they had outside. My friend went to tell the manager on charger he looked more bother with us telling him them actually carting. All he did was throw out the limes in the little box and get the rest of the dirty limes she already touched back in the little box!!! All those limes were dirty and he didn’t even care nor bother that they broke a health code!!
Really? Ive been to this place about 10 times since moving back to the area. Even when its slow which is most times ive visited the service is terrible with the exception of two visits. At the bar and have only had the bartenders see me twice in an hour and didnt even offer me a menu. Guys get it together. Rent has got to be insane here but why come back? Crown n anchor's service is hands down so much better than yours and im not even a fan of the "pub" but for sure this place needs to step it up.
It takes a lot for me to make a negative review. Not the most warmest and welcome of bartenders. Some of them have personalities of dead moths. Maybe if you’re a regular, they treat you different. After waiting 40 minutes for my food to go I got home and my sushi has no chopsticks or soy sauce. Calamari is cold. I am officially done with that place. Even when I left a 20% tip of been OK thank you, just snatched the check.
Horrible. Sat down for 20 min no help. Then when they came, we asked for a drink menu and they disappeared for 15 min. Left terrible taste
Went in one night with my boyfriend and as we were walking to the upstairs part, a security guard stepped in front of me and rudely asked for our IDs. I’ve never gotten ID’d unless i’m ordering a drink. We start to pull out our ID’s and he’s standing there arms crossed with a super irritated look. I could tell he thought i looked younger than 21 (even though im not) and that might have been why he was so rude. I’m trying to get out my ID while I felt so unwelcome. I asked him why he was being rude. He proceeded to start an argument with me and my boyfriend. We ended up just walking out and we r never going back.
This place was so depressing I thought there would be multiple casualties from self harm. Not only that but the food was so greasy and over cooked I think the cook was behind the bar downing their stock. Terrible place would not recommend to anyone unless you feel sorry for yourself and want a reason to waste time money and will to live.
I went with some of my coworkers after work, we ordered a mix of appetizers and a couple of sushi rolls. The food itself was alright, but 3 out of the 5 of us got food poisoning in the coming days. I was spewing out both ends myself and couldn’t anything eat for more than a day without it coming right back out the way it came in. The staff was friendly and helpful though.
I went in and asked the bartender where to order, but he said he didn't understand me, even after I said it twice. I then asked if he understood English, and he said yes, but just couldn't understand what I was trying to say. It was a really confusing and unexpected situation, but I guess he is white so he has the privilege, Mr.
