We ordered ramen, and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Tonkotsu ramen. The chicken gyoza were tender and tasty as well. They were the perfect appetizer to satisfy our hunger before the main course.
We will definitely be back. Such a great variety. Couldn't eat all of those fabulous choices... The best I've had in a long time
Good tasting Ramen. Got the black sesame with ground pork.
Great ramen. Like really great. Probably some of the best I've ever had actually. Ramen Nippon in the valley is obviously number one on the list but this would be number two for sure. The service is good and the atmosphere is average. I like sitting outside if I can but I side isn't bad. Only problem is that it can get a little crowded so I normally order to go. I'd recommend it if you like good ramen and other little sides when drinking beer.
Fantastic! The ingredients tasted fresh and the broth tasted authentic. They said it takes a long time to cook each batch of broth so when they are out for the day it goes off the menu. The staff is friendly and attentive. I see other reviewers rating low for service but the place was brand new, sometimes that isn’t considered.
SO GOOD but removed a star because of the smell. Both times I've been here it smells like a bathroom immediately when I walk in (though its definitely clean inside). I recommend sitting outside if you can because the food is excellent! Update: There's no longer any smell! Highly recommend this place!
Great little restaurant in the heart or Thousand Oaks! Very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I ordered the chicken miso ramen and it was delish! This place is usually packed at dinner so I came for lunch and it was perfect. Wait times where very quick!
🌟 Taiyo Ramen - A Delicious and Affordable Lunch Spot! 🌟 I had the pleasure of dining at Taiyo Ramen for lunch today, and I must say—it was fantastic! The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and the price was just right. If you're looking for a satisfying bowl of ramen without breaking the bank, this is the spot. The broth was packed with depth and umami, perfectly complementing the tender noodles. The balance of flavors made every bite enjoyable, and the portion size was just right for a fulfilling meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly service that made the experience even better. Overall, Taiyo Ramen delivers both quality and affordability. I'll definitely be coming back for another bowl soon! 🍜 NOTE: This is my first visit of many more to come! I'm not getting paid to promote this place, but it was very empty today and I'm not sure why. Good food!! Please stop by and support your local eateries!
I came here and had the Chicken miso Ramen and it was incredible, this is my favorite place to go here in Thousand Oaks! There were two ladies working and both of them greeted me with a smile and served the most delicious Ramen I have had in years, I’ll definitely be coming back very soon!
Great little ramen spot! The food was fresh and flavorful. The waitress was great and helpful. Will definitely be back!
Annalie was our waitress. She served us well and made great recommendations. The melon soda was super delicious! To eat, We ordered 3 ramen and 1 teriyaki. The teriyaki chicken was delicious! My daughters loved the ramen. I ordered extra spicy and it was perfection to my taste buds. The atmosphere was blah…I rated the atmosphere 2 stars. The place smelled like sewage. Something is off with the plumbing. Nonetheless Service and food 5 stars.
If you’re looking for a ramen restaurant but don’t want to go into LA, well this place is for you. Every bowl I’ve tried here is very flavorful and super filling. And even if you’re not a super fan for noodles (weird), their appetizer game is on point. Spam musubi, takoyaki, kaarage, yuzu Brussels sprouts, garlic rice. Omg I could go on and on about their appetizers. Needless to say, check them out.
Yes. Just yes. The garlic edamame is INSANE & I’ve had many many bowls of edamame in my lifetime. I was feeling adventurous and got the chicken curry ramen..YUM! Honestly so good!! This place is so underrated. Adorable decor & kind staff! ⭐️🍜
Large portion size, flavorful broth, only real gripe was the appetizers were about the price, if not a few dollars less than main course items. Taiyaki was excellent, tantan ramen has excellent broth with a nice heat that gives a slow burn at the end. Eggs come standard with ramen orders. Clean environment. Will definitely return in the future.
Cozy ramen spot with friendly vibes and seriously delicious bowls!
This place was amazing! If you want authentic japanese food come here. The takoyaki and ramen tasted like the Ramen I ate in Miyazaki, Japan! Great wait staff, definitely great chef.
good ramen with good prices. Nice local spot, the service was good. Enjoyed relaxing here with a hot bowl. Good recommendation

First time at Taiyo Ramen and WOW this place is FIRE 🔥🔥. From the moment I walked in, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was on point. The ramen was absolutely incredible rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can tell they put real care into every bowl. I’ve never been here before, but I’m definitely coming back. If you’re even thinking about trying Taiyo Ramen, do it. 10/10 experience 🙌
Yummy ramen and Hugo was awesome! Glad my friend picked this place for lunch. I had the Tokyo and he had the miso ramen. Both were delicious and we also got the garlic rice and it was superb. I will be back!
Went here after a long time. The decoration and ambiance is same as a year back. Usually I order their tonkatsu ramen, but this time I went with chicken katsu curry rice…I’m glad I did. The katsu was top quality … crunchy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside…their curry was absolutely top notch. It had the deep flavor and a slight bit of spicyness at the end. If you haven’t tried their curry do try it.
Taiyo is the best ramen in this area. They're brussels sprouts and garlic butter rice are a must.
This place is so amazing! The food tastes good. The service is too good. They even had DBZ playing on a TV, which is an automatic 5 star for Atmosphere. One thing is that they had ran out of melon soda, but I substitued for Thai Tea with Boba.

We like this place best for local ramen. Great choices on the menu and always tastes great. My whole family enjoys what they order every time.
First time we've eaten here. Small place in a strip mall. I had the Vegetarian Ramen & added shrimp. Huge, tasty portion, more than I could eat in one seating. My husband wasn't too hungry and only ordered the Tempura Shrimp appetizer. That was very good, crisp & not greasy. Our kids had the Tonkotsu Ramen & had to take it home too.
Friendly service. Good food--I liked the black sesame broth. Nice and quiet. Clean space. Would eat here again.
First time ever trying Takoyaki. I don’t have anything to compare with, but I liked them. Gyozas were really good, and ramen was good too. Spicy miso wasn’t really spicy enough for me, but it was really good after we doctored it up with some soy sauce and extra sriracha.

I live in Oxnard and came to TO to run an errand and got hungry and felt like Ramen so I looked at places and chose his place because it had more stars than other places. This place is just OK. Silverlake Ramen in Oxnard in the food hall in The Collection is way better! And even that Ramen is not the best I’ve ever had. The noodles here are undercooked, in my personal opinion, and the broth is not as flavorful as it can be, and on the thicker side, which makes it creamy but odd. There’s like a film left all over my mouth after each sip of broth. The eggs are awesome! The biggest thing is that the pork is very minimal and super thin and tastes like reheated pork in a microwave. I’m glad I tried it to have a comparison since I’m new to Oxnard and the central coast area, because it just may be that Silverlake Ramen House is the best out here. So I will keep trying places.
Cash or card with parking available but limited given the amount of businesses in the square. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with miso and it was pretty good. Somewhat unique additions were fresh slices of ginger and sesame seeds, which I enjoyed. Cool, chic spot with a good overall aesthetic. Overall, good experience.
The ramen is good—not amazing, but it gets the job done. Service is okay. The place itself is average (clean) though the room was uncomfortably cold. Reasonable prices . Overall, an okay spot for a bowl of ramen.
It was a quick service and good tasting ramen shop with nice drinks and sides. The pork chashu was good but not sweet as I’m used to. Tonkotsu brothe hit the spot and tasted great. Service was fast and attentive.
First time here, ramen was pretty amazing. Loved the broth and noodles. Service wasn't as good. We got sat down right away and the drink order was taken pretty fast but after that, we waited too long for them to take our food order and by the time we were done, we had to go to the register, not once but TWICE to ask for our check. Not good.

I was very disappointed in this place. I ordered for takeout and when I got home I opened my bowl and it was hardly filled halfway. I’m not asking for another egg or anything special in the bowl but at least add some extra noodles. I spent over $15 on the bowl and was still hungry after. Not to mention my egg was overcooked and the bowl was very salty.
I’m not a picky eater. I can eat almost anything. The only thing that I don’t like is squishy oranges. I love Ramen and this place was trash. It tasted like nothing. No flavor absolutely trash never come here. It’s right next to my house. I’ve been here before they went downhill. The egg was good and the meat was good but nothing else. Why would I pay $30 for a piece of meat? And an egg I paid because I’m nice, but that is not worth anything of your time Service was good though
Not sure what everyone was raving about or maybe I got the wrong ramen. But the spicy miso ramen I ordered was beyond salty, no depth, and I never thought it was possible for a chashu pork to be so dry. The egg yolk wasn’t overcooked so I’ll give them that, and I can’t speak for the restaurant service because I ordered take out. Overall, disappointed. Wouldn’t order here again.
Ordered take out and all drinks were left off the order. Poorly packaged items leaked all over the back of my car making me need to get the back seats detailed. Decent food- don’t get take out until they improve packaging and ensuring orders are complete
We have eaten here multiple times and always found the ramen to be excellent. Unfortunately, last Sunday both my mom and five-year-old son found shards of what we thought was glass (turned out to be hard plastic) in their strawberry smoothies. My son actually spat out an inch-long piece of sharp plastic, which prompted my mom and I to sift through both drinks and find multiples pieces of varying sizes. By this time we were home and when we called the restaurant, they checked and admitted that a piece of their blender had somehow fallen off--without their noticing?--and gotten blended into the drink. The waitstaff didn't express much concern or empathy. Even worse, my mom called last night to speak to the manager, and while he admitted the issue, he didn't even offer an apology--all he did was say that he would talk to the staff about being careful. Fortunately, no damage appears to have been done, but we spent a worried evening and then kept our son home from school to monitor him and take him to the doctor. It's a shame because the food is really good, and I understand that accidents happen, but this is completely unacceptable across the board: from the fact that it did happen to the disappointing response from waitstaff and management.
I was excited for this place because the reviews seemed good. Unfortunately, there were really bad, strong smells present throughout our whole dinner. I didn't notice until the end of our meal, but my cup smelled like bacteria and that made me worried. The food was not good, though the vegetarian broth was flavorful.
Food is mediocre, but Horrible service!!!! Decide never go back order from this restaurant again. They forget to put the curry sauce of curry chicken rice into the big envelope when I took my to-go order. Try to follow up in phone, they try claim it's my fault because "I'm leaving too fast???" while don't they suppose to put everything in the envelop? Then I have to drive back for 30 mins round trip, and ask for a refund/reimbursement for my time, at least at rate of a uber eat driver , but they refused and only give me 3 dollars by claim they are refund me for the price of curry sauce. WORST service I've ever experience and I don't expect they can wear the storm of COVID
