HB Catering (Hot Biscuit Diner) is incredible at what they do. They not only catered our rehearsal dinner, but they also did our entire wedding! The wait staff is friendly, professional, and the food was mouth watering! Val and Rachel are absolute ROCKSTARS. They did everything we expected AND MORE! They accommodated our guests with severe allergies, vegan, vegetarian, and more! For my friends and family that have a dietary restriction or allergy, they designed a thoughtful and individualized dish for each of them. My buddy who is a vegan raved about how delicious everything was. Food was HOT and tasty no matter if people were going up for the first time or their third time ;P Everybody left happy and fed on both events. We even had left overs, that were nicely packaged for us... perfect for a late night snack. Trust me, if you are the bride and groom... you WILL be hungry later once the adrenaline and excitement wears off. IF you are reading this and are considering HB Catering for your special event, and specifically a wedding, you will be very happy. As the Bride and Groom, you have soooo much going on, between the pictures, the conversations, the events, etc. that it will be challenging to find a time to eat. Rachel and her staff, made sure that no matter where we were during the cocktail hour that we were brought food. It was so very kind and thoughtful because if they didn't physically bring us over food, we probably wouldn't have had the chance to eat at all. I can't thank them enough for everything they did to make our entire wedding weekend special. Their thoughtfulness, positivity, and professionalism and tasty food was greatly appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone that has a wedding in the ADKs to use them as your caterer of choice. You will be so very glad that you did. Thank you to Val, Rachel, and the entire HB Catering staff for making us feel special!
We love the Hot Biscuit! Best breakfast hands down. The service is wonderful. The waitstaff is always cheerful and welcoming. The food is delicious and well prepared. I highly recommend The Hot Biscuit if you are here in Ticonderoga.
We love this little restaurant the food is amazing the service is excellent! We go on vacation every summer to lake george and stay in Hague. I can honestly say we have never missed a chance to eat at the Hot Biscuit. Only thing I wish they served breakfast all day that is the only complaint.
Seven of us had a great breakfast on a very busy morning, food and service were great, as always. There's no breakfast in Westport and the drive down to TI was well worth it.
The onion rings were PERFECT. People were pleasant. It was the ideal spot after going to the Star Trek tour.
Good food. Pot roast was a little salty and had a lot of fat on mine. Owner took off 20% from my dinner. Service was very good. Burger was cooked to perfection.
If I could, I would give this place 6 stars! If you are an out of town visitor/tourist/camper in the rain like me, please know that Ticonderoga has no less than 11 restaurants from which to choose. 12, if you count Dunkin' Donuts. I know - I counted! So, how does a busy camper in the rain narrow it down to just one? Well, it depends on what time you show up, and what you want to eat. Before 11am, I like to eat breakfast. After that, I tend to eat lunch. Either way, you can't go wrong with the Hot Biscuit Diner. Great food, great service, great value. Especially if you are camping in the rain. Like me. I was camping. In the rain.
WOW! what a spontaneous stop! Absolutely 5 stars! quality of service, food and atmosphere was ALL outstanding! As having been there in Strawberry season the desert was recommended to start with! No shame on my Mom's but boy was the shortcake good! Great selection on the menu all prepped in house Just great diner food. Thank you Hot Biscuit!
Wonderful down home diner. Extensive menu, great prices, daily specials and very pleasant servers. I had a chicken quesadilla that was delicious. For desert I had their famous strawberry shortcake that is served with a homemade biscuit and whipped cream. Half had to come home with me.
Absolutely AMAZING we are not from around here and were trying to find a bite to eat breakfast. Found this on Maps and didn’t know what to expect. Portions are perfect and large! Food is amazing, all staff are smiling and welcoming and our waitress Erin was awsome and delightful!
Food was great, service was prompt, and prices were average. A couple items to note were we never were offered to have our coffees ☕️ topped off, and 2 juices were $7.00! We will be visiting again when we are back in Ti.
Hot Biscuit is perhaps the best diner I have ever been to. It is cozy, with friendly waitstaff, and it has excellent food. The best thing about this place is that if you don't want to use the cheap diner syrup, they sell tiny bottles of real maple syrup that you can use instead, which are absolutely worth the price in my opinion. Try the pancakes- they're are fluffy and filling!
So much home-style food, for so little money. And you must have the biscuits, obviously. I recommend just ordering the strawberry shortcake (made with the biscuits) as a meal! Service was great, parking is easy, and they now take credit cards. Destination worthy.
The biscuits are wicked yummy! Incredibly decorative restaurant.
We ate here for the first time for a late breakfast. The staff were great, the food was good and the price was excellent. Wife had a short stack with real maple syrup and I had breakfast sandwich and home fries. Only beverage was a chocolate milk. The bill was $21 and change. Our server was so perfect for this place. She even sat with an elderly gentleman with two canes just so she could take his order. This is a jewel in Ticonderoga. Try it.
I've eaten at the Hot Biscuit Diner many times, and I've always had great food. I love their pancakes. Yesterday I went there for lunch and I told the waitress that I just had a tooth pulled. She was very friendly and suggested the meat loaf would be simple to chew and that was the special of the day. It was delicious. Thank you Jamie.
It's a cute little local resturant Staff is nice and efficient. They serve diner style food You get a good portion and the price is reasonable The biscuits are huge and flakes, they were the star of the show...yummy
From Long Island I been here twice visiting a friend and both times were incredible some of the best breakfast Ive ever had, great price and service was great can’t wait to go back!
5 stars and a MUST STOP PLACE. Only negative was that we traveled 90 miles for breakfast on Wednesday as online they indicated they were open. When we pulled in at 11:15 a.m. two people coming out said they just closed due to a catering thing. Sure would have been nice to put this on their web presence! Still...the time we were there...it was 5 stars.
Great service from our waitress Jamie. Super friendly and attentive. The restaurant overall seemed very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our food and all the old antiques. Really has the old school diner feel without being run down like a lot of small diners.
Great, conscience waitress, light blueberry pancakes, perfect eggs over easy & buttery biscuit. VERY clean & friendly diner. Signed...a retired diner waitress.
Ate lunch around 2:00pm May 21 Tuesday Quick and excellent service Good food- Western Omelets, biscuits and sweet potato fries + coffee As good as the Reviews indicate! 40s music and similar diner decor We’re From Kansas
Very lovely service. The homemade corned beef has has a lot of potatoes in it.
Amazing place for breakfast! Their Sausage Gravy with homemade biscuits are my favorite! Very friendly and helpful waitresses that just want you to have the best meal possible! Love the atmosphere in the building, old fashion and lots of antiques!
Came through for late breakfast on way to Star Trek, and it was great! Lovely staff, tasty coffee. Had a ham steak and a biscuit and it was wonderful! Biscuits could not have been fresher! Will definitely come again next time I'm in town.
All the classic American dinner dishes done perfectly with awesome service!
We chose to eat lunch here after a quick search on maps for nearby places. It did NOT disappoint! Super friendly staff, yummy food. Sure, it's not a place to go for a quick bite, but it's a place to sit and enjoy with friends. Before we even got our food, my kids insisted we come back again.
Experienced these nice folks at a recent wedding. As a planner, they nailed the culinary, service and hospitality components. 10 stars if I could! Excellent team work, professional inclusive equipment and smooth operation. Love to see more of you in the future at our events.
The ham and cheese omelette was excellent. Best prices I’ve seen in awhile.
Classic diner, comfort food. Everything we had was great. Service was prompt and friendly. A great option in a small town
Very pleasantly surprised by this little diner! Older dining room, but very good food. My Reuben sandwich was exceptional, you could taste all the spices in the pastrami, and the sauerkraut was fresh and crunchy. The burger with onions, cheese, and BBQ sauce was also delicious, very juicy and flavorful. Fair prices, good looking desserts, though we were too full to get any. Fast, friendly service. Parking out front. Very sensitive to my food allergy. I have a severe shellfish allergy, and there were plenty of things I could eat that hadn't been fried with shrimp. They subbed deep fried onions for pan fried on my burger, and it was great.
Our first time here. Great service and good food. We will go back
My wife and I took a day trip to the area. We ate lunch here (my first visit). Awesome down home cooking , I enjoyed the chicken and biscuits special. Wow, so good, and we finished with strawberry shortcake. Our waitress was very welcoming and we enjoyed great conversation. Thanks again and look forward to visiting again!
We loved the blueberry pancakes and the biscuits. The unique atmosphere had us returning the next day.
Wow! Part of a group of 10 on a bicycle trip. We were seated right away, got our orders taken and the food -AWESOME- was served before we knew it.
Very busy, polite staff. Took a while to get lunch served. But tasty! It's a diner, not fancy. But clean!
Tried the southwest blackbean burger. It was very good. Not dry at all! Came with chips and your choice of dill or bread and butter pickles. I believe I could have upgraded the chips to sweet potato fries! They also sell Maple Syrup.
This is a staple for our family. It doesn't matter if we are staying in Vermont or New York, we make the trip to Hot Biscuit. No matter the distance its a must and has been for years since we first found it while staying at Rogers Rock. Friendly staff, great food and good prices for the portions. Eat here and you'll thank me.
This place is a gem. I felt welcome in their old time atmosphere. My server was warm and accommodating. The biscuits and gravy were hot and hearty as advertised. I wanted to relax there all morning and catch up with their complimentary local newspaper. I will return soon.
We rode up on motorcycle. 15 of us, 15 minutes before closing time. One of us went into confirm that they could accommodate us all. Gladly was the reply. So we enjoyed. The service was excellent, food fantastic, like home cooking.
We visited the Hot Biscuit when we visited Fort Ticonderoga. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed the food. We both had breakfast. It can be a very busy place. The service was awesome. The food was good and hot. The server wore a smile and was so pleasant. I would definitely recommend eating here. 😋
Nice side of the road diner we had lunch at after crossing at the ferry. BLT and Buffalo burger were both great. Very friendly staff and great food.
Great homestyle breakfast! Service was fantastic! Food was great! Came in town and needed a place for breakfast found this little diner through google and so happy we stopped here for our meal.
Had the pleasure of eating breakfast here while we were on our honeymoon a week ago and it was absolutely delicious. The diner is right across the street from where my husband and I were staying for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon and both days the food was wonderful, the staff is extremely friendly and the diner itself was retro and cute! We will be coming back to Ticonderoga and the Hot Biscuit is a permanent stop every time we are there!
Lovely little local diner with great service and good food Recommended if you are in the area :) I ordered a ham&cheese omlet-very generous portion comes with a lovely homemade biscuit, sweet potato fries ( the staff were super nice and allowed me to do french fries and sweet potato fries mix)- the fries (both the types) were crunchy and tasty
This little place is tucked away between two buildings in Ticonderoga, and I'd decided to try it out on my way to the ferry. The food was hot, plentiful, and delicious! Gravy had big chunks of meat, the eggs perfect, and the biscuits were fat and homemade. On my short trip around upstate New York, I'd had B & G at another diner that was recommended, and it was bland, and cost more. These folks at Hot Biscuit are attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, even if it is off the beaten path.
Good food at reasonable prices. One caution would be to verify add-on prices if you make a substitution on a menu items. I asked what could be substituted for the potato chips included with a sandwich. The waitress gave a couple of options, including onion rings. I chose onion rings. I didn't find out until I received the bill that the onion rings were an additional $6+. The waitress neglected to mention that. I wouldn't call that a substitution. I'd call it a side order of onion rings.
Great place for breakfast, friendly staff
No bad. Good basic food. The real turn-off is the service. Do not expect them to great you with open arms or even acknowledge you exist. You walk in, and they look at you but don't say a word. Other wise decent breakfast place.
My first time here and the food was very good. Service was also very good. Great place for breakfast!
Nice diner style restaurant. Good breakfast options.
Have been going to this diner for years but have not been since they changed hours to breakfast and lunch only. We both had the burger with cheddar cheese. Asked for medium but more near well done. Upgraded from side of chips to fries. Fries crispy and plentiful. Not busy but service was a bit slow with only one waitress. Did not see the famous biscuits and gravy choice on menu. Maybe on a separate breakfast menu.
The staff are nice and the service is great! The diner is quaintly decorated with 50’s ovens and cowboy themed accents. The food is excellent! Home fries are perfectly crisp and done the right way. The buttermilk biscuits are heaven and the prices are unbelievably affordable. I would without a doubt make this my go to place every time!
Very good and popular breakfast spot. Staff was very nice and attentive. Their menu is brief but has good range. For a place that calls themselves "Hot Biscuit" dinner, I had to get the biscuits and sawmill gravy. Biscuits were well made. The sawmill gravy seemed to have NO seasoning (salt or pepper), but a bit of "salt to taste" made it a fine example of its kind generous amounts of sausage. Son1 had a sausage-cheese omelet, and son2 had french toast. All were pleased. The homefries were flat-top-in-house-made and were well seasoned. The omelet was a strange construction... the cheese slices were on the plate under the omelet. Don't know if that's normal for this place or an afterthought... Overall, almost a 5-star diner!
This little hole in the wall was great. Kind of nostalgic. 50's style tables and counter seating. I had a tuna club with fries and it was delicious. My bf had the patty melt and he said it was very good. We stopped here bcuz we were on the way to the Star Trek original set tour. Really good decision. The waitresses were really very nice and more than happy to chat with their customers. A very pleasant experience.
This diner was... sigh. I feel like they know they are the only game in town, so the effort is just not there. We sat without getting our water/coffee for 20+ minutes, and when the food did come... the home fries were soggy boiled(?) messes, and the biscuits were dry. Also - breakfast ends at 11am?
Service was very friendly, and prices reasonable but the food was not what see hoped for. Meat loaf was OK but was slathered with inappropriately sweet gravy. Mashed potatoes not worth finishing. Corn out of a can. Cheese omelette was thin and tough. And the eponymous biscuits, while large and hot, were disappointing.
The first time I went, it was my fault...I ASSUMED that a place called Hot Biscuit would serve breakfast all day, but no. I called before I went today and asked what time they stopped serving breakfast. 11am. Noted. Got there at 10:30 only to find a sign on the door stating that they were closing at 11am due to staffing issues. But we could still go in. But guess what, they didn't have biscuits and gravy today. They had better up the salaries and get some staff or they'll be out of business soon at this rate. I, for one, will not be schlepping 30 minutes to go there again!
Hot beef dinner was a little cold, potatoes lumpy, gravy pretty good. Service friendly but a little slow. My daughter's loved their mozzarella sticks & pbjs.
Waitress was Great!! It was fair, really needs a good cleaning & paint job!!! Food was ok, I got a burger platter didn't come w/fries, $4.50 for fries. Asked how I wanted my burger, why ask if it's gonna b well done. Fish platter was good only 1 filet.
We are here late on a Sunday morning, so maybe that hurt us. But this was the slowest "diner" I've ever eaten at. Even after we sat down it took 25+ minutes to get our order of two pretty basic breakfast dishes. Disappointing for sure. Maybe it was just bad timing.
If time matters to you, do not stop here. Great waitresses but the kitchen is horribly slow. We waited and waited. 40 minutes for them to tell us they ran out of tuna. Finally after a hour, we were served. Food is mediocre and poorly plated. Crossed of our list.
Just missed breakfast and ended up getting lunch. Still got one of the big giant biscuits but it was dry and a little stale by the time it got to me. I got the onion rings as they were hand dipped in beer batter. They were ok just very greasy and non-crispy. I ordered the pot roast special and my husband got fish and chips. I was surprised that my poy roast was boiled, the meat was a little gray. The mashed potatoes were also very dry and crumbly. However the beef gravy was delicious. Husband said his fish was "meh, of the basic, frozen fried variety." They have good merch, such as their mugs that say, "Mind your biscuits and life will be gravy." I think I was most interested in the mugs. We also got some maple syrup to give as gifts. Our server was great, very attentive and helpful. Maybe breakfast is better.
Besides charming old school atmosphere, and a very good coffee, there is nothing else this place can offer. Came mid day and was super hungry. Ordered” chicken and biscuits with gravy”lunch special. Asked for “Gravy on side” Not sure what I got, but there was barely any chicken, and tons of gravy over bunch of mashed potatoes, half broken up biscuit and no green beans. ( I guess the carrots were the substitute) I get it’s the country side and local, but could be a bit more clean, cooler and less flies. When I started taking pictures my server seem annoyed, asked me if “that’s all” and wanted to rush me out. I thought I should order chocolate cake just to see if that’s perhaps somewhat ok. The cake was just too dry and too sweet. If I was not very hungry I would probably not eat this meal.
Cute little place! Flap Jack's were soft and spongy! Sawmill Gravy looked fantastic but had literally no seasoning! It tasted like nothing. Even the sausage in the gravy had no seasoning. It was so weird! Waitress was super nice! I'd go back for the flapjacks but that chef needs to work on their gravy skills. Biscuits were top notch though!
Food was good but the service was severely lacking. Once the food was brought out we were basically ignored. Had to leave the table and go up to the counter to ask for more coffee, napkins, and to place an order for additional items. We were surrounded by tables covered with dirty dishes and it wasn't even busy. Only 5 tables had people. The food was good, not great.
I felt like this place was a hit or miss. Usually local hole in the wall type diners have good food. Everything our group got was kinda overfried, dark, and tasted like old oil. Our service was also so so. Biscuits were good but very crumbly.
The service was good. Home fries were fresh and delicious as where the eggs. I was disappointed to get a day old biscuit that had been microwaved and was tough to chew. I been there in the past and enjoyed the restaurant, but yesterday morning was a big disappointment.
The menu looked great which got us in the door. After being seated it was disappointing. We waited 15 minutes without even getting waters or a drink order and there were only five other tables with two servers at the time. After seeing the group after us get their drink and put in their food order we left and went to Burleigh's Luncheonette where the food and service was great.
Server was nice, pricing is very fair, but the food was really not good. Homefries were raw potatoes, like literally uncooked. The biscuit was also undercooked with no flavor - like raw flour and not even browned up or buttered on the grill. Pretty disappointing considering that is the name of the restaurant! Ordered the veggie omelet and added bacon. The bacon wasnt even chopped up - the cook literally stuffed 3 full slices of lard into the omelet. The bacon was literally just lard - like so bad you could see through the fat. I just pulled them out like a rope by hand and put them aside. So the cook couldnt just take 5 seconds to try and chop these with the spatula on the grill while throwing together the omelette? All the veggies were raw and uncooked too. Ever eat a raw pepper or onion before? Not fun! He sort of did me a favor I suppose, because I could get that garbage ingredients out and choke down the rest of the slop. When we first walked in there was only 3 tables occupied and several that hadnt been cleaned up. By the time we left 40 minutes later, those same tables were still covered in garbage. I have to say Ive never been to any restaurant, let alone a diner, where a soiled table stays that way for my entire time Im at the establishment. So they were sitting unbussed for an hour. Were talking about a Saturday morning during primetime for a diner. What’s this say about the manager? The impression I received is they need more help for service and another cook. There was 1 server covering the entire restaurant of about 20 tables the time we left. She deserves a raise! Once we had our food that was the last we saw her until we needed the bill, which took some time to flag her down. I wouldnt go back here it wasnt worth it.
Not for out-of-towners. First, Ticonderoga has NO restaurants to accomodate out of town visitors/tourists during the week. This restaurant is closed on Mondays. My husband and I went in at 11 a.m. for breakfast on a Tuesday and were told they were transitioning between breakfast and lunch, that we could not be seated for 30 minutes. AT ELEVEN A.M. This, after being told that the only other restaurant in town had a 45 minute wait. While this town advertises itself as a historic town, presumably to attract tourists, there are NO RESTAURANTS that were able to accomodate these hungry tourists. I'd give zero stars for lack of accomodation, if I could. We went to Dunkin' Donuts, who were more than happy to accomodate us. Edited to reply to owner's reply below: First of all, HOW DARE YOU judge what time we got up. We were up at 8 a.m., camping in the rain. Because there's ZERO cell service in the area, we were not able to get a weather report. Last I'd checked, it wasn't going to rain until Wednesday. We had planned to cook breakfast in camp, but because it was raining, we were rushing around trying to get our things in order. Hence why we finally were able to leave camp for breakfast a little before 11. Second, we came in at 11:10 a.m. Your hostess said you were transitioning between breakfast and lunch and it would be at least 30 minutes before we could get food. We had just been told at the ONLY OTHER restaurant in the area that it would be at least 45 minutes before we could get food. THERE ARE ONLY 2 RESTAURANTS in the area! All of the other restaurants listed on the "Come to Ticonderoga" websites are either not open during the week - they don't open until Thursday - (We were there Monday and Tuesday), or they don't open until dinner time. So you're lying about what time we came in and you're lying about there being any other accessible restaurants in the area. Third, I did not slam your door or respond with expletives. You are also making that up to make it look like I was being rude and entitled, when, in fact, I was starving due to our unfortunate choice of a vacation location - lack of cell service, lack of open restaurants, and lack of accomodations for out of town guests. On top of that, your lack of courtesy and accomodation for hungry campers who were camping in the rain was unacceptable. And finally, when I asked if we could still get breakfast, we were unequivocally told "No". If you wanted to serve out-of-town campers who were camping in the rain, your staff would have accomodated us, told us we could at least get some hot coffee and let us know that there were breakfast items on the menu. But your staff was not interested in our business or feeding hungry, out of town campers who were camping in the rain. No one was interested in our business, because you were "so busy" that morning. Less than Zero stars for you for lying to make it seem like we were being unreasonable, when all we wanted was a meal after camping in the rain and there being no other available options in your small town that is not set up to accomodate vacationers or out of towners, who do not know that nothing is open or available. And further, your response to blame me for your poor service and lack of availability shows how much you value your customers and visitors to your town. The proper response would have been to apologize to me for having a bad experience at your place of business. Not to blame me for "waking up late" and "not liking being told no". Blaming the customer for being hungry and seeking food in a town where you KNOW there are only two restaurants available is not the way to treat people. I reiterate my original statement. This restaurant is not for out of towners. They are not accomodating and blame potential customers for not knowing the business's policies. Also, you suck for not being open on Mondays as well. Virtually NOTHING in Ticonderoga, save for the Historical Society Museum and the Burgoyne Lunchonette (where we were treated with respect and gratitude the previous day) are open on Mondays on Ticonderoga.
We went while on vacation for the July 4th weekend. The waitress was rude when we asked if we could also get some water (we forgot to ask when we ordered our coffee), she was rude several other times. My eggs were not cooked, the biscuits and gravy were as cold as if they were just taken from the fridge. Our waitress never asked how our food was. Upon leaving we informed them of how the food and service were, to which they replied in a snarky tone, that they can only fix things if we say something (which we would have had we ever seen our waitress after the food was brought out). We went to several other places while in the area that were all fabulous. I would never recommend this diner to anyone.
The service was friendly but the food seriously left something to be desired. The biscuits were extremely dry, the gravy was cold and lumpy. Big chunks of thickener (I'm assuming flour). Not even close to edible. The bacon was great and cooked perfectly but that is about the only good thing we had between our two breakfasts.
The waitresses were rude. My husband only had a short 20-30 minutes lunch break, so we asked for take out. They didn’t have some items I asked for like certain cheese, gravy, flavors, etc. I felt like I was getting overcharged and/or things were a bit pricy. They were going to charge me $4.50 for an upgrade of chips to fries, but the side order was the same price. I felt that the waitress/women at the counter didn’t really want us there. I was in the middle of asking a question and was interrupted TWICE by her coworker, so they carried in a full conversation and left me there with no response. I asked about a milk shake and her response was “psst, idk, uhh I guess, ugh hold on I’ll check (eye roll)” at that point my husband said never mind and walked from the restaurant. She came back and just started ringing things in. I said “uhh sorry, never mind we will go elsewhere” she got snippy and rude towards me at that point. I straight said “just do better for the next person”, and told her how I felt face to face (nicely and maturely). I can’t say anything about the food but the service was unpleasant and very rude. Maybe the foods good, maybe not but my experience was definitely terrible. Others may have a different opinion. Just figured to share mine. I won’t come here again. I won’t tell my friends/family lies and will tell people about the horrible experience I had if anyone was to ask me. I try to be humble and hope for changes with their staff. Stay safe, stay humble.
About forty five minutes after ordering my French toast I was told that it was just put on the grill. It took approximately an hour to get our food. The restaurant was not particularly crowded. When it was finally brought out, there appeared to be mold on the corner of one of the pieces. The waitress said it was blueberry but I do not believe this to be true. Bacon was good. Waitress was nice. Overall very unhappy with the experience.
Went there for breakfast and after arriving, the waitress seated us at a back booth. There were 3 of us and after sitting there for a half an hour, the waitress who seated us came by and we asked for coffees and menus. She was a little rude and said yes. When she came came back, she said “ you all snuck in on me and we didn’t know you were here”. We put our order in right away and it took 45 minutes for our order to come. My food was burnt (blueberry pancake) and the smallest pancake I’ve ever seen. Will never go back.
Where do I begin? This place was a disaster from the time our motorcycle riding group walked through the door. We were told to sit anywhere we wished, and within 5 minutes of sitting down, we were forced to another location because there were an extra couple of chairs, which were to be used for a larger group. The server who demanded we move was not even pleasant but she was quite rude and arrogant. Our server was also quite unpleasant, no smile and extremely curt. The hamburgers were raw when we asked for medium and finally there was not even one coffee refill. Once the surely waitress served the undercooked meals she completely disappeared. Horrible lunch experience. We left no tip and maybe if the waitress reads this she'll understand why!!!!
Went in for lúnch special which specials are usually semi cooked. 3 other couples came in after us and they all got served told them at that time wanted check for our drinks. Went into a tirade about if food got ready new York State says we had to pay wether we ate or not told them to show me that declaration couldn't produce said document. All we wanted was penne with meatballs 16 minutes later still no food while 3 others got their order. Very rude when we walked in took 5 min for menus. Then after all was said and done and no did not pay we were told never come back I said no problem. We wanted to go to burleighs in first place now there's a place with class
If I could give this place zero stars I would, the food was mediocre. The service was OK. Worst of all was a disturbing photo on the wall. I understand the 1950s theme that this place is going for, but it is 2024 and we should not be displaying racially offensive images in any public establishment. Seeing this photo on the wall made me immediately feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
