My family thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night! We will be back to this location from this point on! Thank you for making our dinner so wonderful.
The food was great. Service was great and quick. Tasted like fresh made but came out very quickly. Amazing.
Best real made from scratch Mexican food around. His Lemon ice box pie almost tastes like Key Lime pie. I go there often, very clean kitchen.
Food was great and the service was wonderful. Nice place to eat by yourself or with a group of people.
Loud music. However, they seated as far away as possible from the speakers upon my request. I really like the food and the service was excellent.
Garcia's is a great destination restaurant or great for a quick stop on your way through Tolar via Hwy 377. The food is typical Mexican food including tacos, enchiladas, flautas, burritos, and fajitas, etc. I had the tacos and my husband had the flautas. Drinks were served in a can. We were very satisfied with our lunch. Parking is convenient behind the restaurant away from the highway through Tolar. Entrance into the building was easy and convenient for my wheelchair. Our server was friendly and prompt. We are satisfied customers.
Best enchiladas and quesadillas and sour cream sauce ever!!!! We have been going to this Garcias since they were in their old location many many years ago. Cant think of a time they disappointed.
I love Garcia's!! The food is always good and the place is very clean. The staff is friendly and know what you want when you walk in if you're a repeat customer.
I've been twice now.. the food has always tasted great & the service is outstanding!
This place was fabulous! Great staff, Great food. We stayed 2 hours visiting and they were so cool with it!!!
Excellent service friendly staff. Food was well prepared and great preaentation. Taste was awesome !! We will visit again.
Stopped passing thru. Was very good. good service and good food. what more can you ask for! will stop every time we pass thru for now on.
Great lunch place. Orders are reasonably priced and served hot and fast. Chips and salsa are good. Pleasant wait staff who seem to really appreciate your business.
I'm so full. I have been coming here for 2+ years and I am never disappointed whenever I eat here. I always leave here full and satisfied with what I order. I always get the burrito dinner and it is so good everytime. Great staff and good environment. They are an A+ when it comes to checking on there tables. I will come here for many years to come.
The staff are FANTASTIC here!!!! My server Ashley was extremely attentive and was able to cater to our every need. At one point, I found a hair in my food but Ashley picked it out and put it back in her hair. As Shrek said about the onions "Out of sight, out of mind" and in this case, the same goes for that hair in my food. Ashley was even able to accommodate for my son's life sized Stegosaurus that he brought into the restaurant. She did have to kick out two tables and fix the hole in the wall, but hey, we made sure to tip 20%! Our other server, Lorye, was just as good if not better than Ashley. The table behind us was being really loud so Lorye actually booked and paid for an all inclusive 3 day cruise around the Caribbean just so they would stop bothering us. The food was unbelievable! I got the burger and fries and my son got the chicken nuggets! This establishment is my new favorite Mexican restaurant!!! The portions were extremely large and for only 23 cents per chicken nugget and 7.8 cents per fry, I would say that this is extremely good value. When we found out Ashley is a singer, we asked if she would sing for us as it was my son's birthday. Ashley went on to hire a Mariachi band who song happy birthday for us!!!!! But they sang in Spanish so we couldn't understand a word they said. 1 star...
Delicious food and friendly people make this a "must stop at place" to enjoy fresh homemade chips & salsa. Their sour cream chicken enchiladas are so good.
Dinner was excellent! Whole family enjoyed their meals and cleaned their plates. Had several servers watching over us, very attentive. This will be a regular stop on date night and family gatherings. Thank you!
Food is always hot and delicious! The wait staff is so friendly and the service is great! We eat here at least 4 times a month. They also have tasty margaritas.
Always a good place to stop for a quick bite to eat. The food and service is always fast, friendly, and tasty
Nice family style place. Service is pleasant and quick. Food is good and consistent. Chips are light and crisp and the salsa tasty and not too hot.
We were pleasantly surprised about this little gem of a place tucked away in the middle of no where! We have been here two times to eat in and once for take out, all really good. The food is fresh, salsa has good flavor but they will only fill once with no additional charge. Honestly, save room for the food. Lol! We have tried their regular salsa and another with a bit more of a punch if you are looking for some heat ask for the green salsa. The service is good as well, always friendly and they listen! That's not a given anymore unfortunately. The food: Beef Fajitas, take-out, good flavor, not dry or chewy, they could be a little less stingy with it (I mean who doesn't want a little more beef!) but it is plenty and we had a little leftover so no complaints. Ranchero Platter, again, all the basics and they were good. Tamale was a bit dry but still worth eating. Beef Fajita Nachos, nothing overwhelming about these, I like my condiments on the side so I can make the perfect bite but I am sure they are just as good the "normal" way with condiments piled on. Overall, highly recommend if you find yourself cruising through the big city of Tolar, TX.
Great food and service, family owned and run. Very sweet people
Great for Birthday party. Friendl employees. Good service, great food.

It was clean, and the wait staff was very patient and sweet. Can't say that about the person I was with, but he probably would say the same. However the food was very good. I recommend it for sure.
Five stars because imo it’s the best place for Mexican food in Hood County. Family owned & operated, friendly, very fast service and affordable. Even in the busiest of times you just walk in, find a table, sit where you want and they are quick to greet and serve you. They have a good lunch menu. When I order take out it’s always ready when i get there and just as good to go as dine in. Only disadvantage is closed on Sundays.
Great food and service. I along with my family in Bluff Dale have been eating here for about 12 years and always hits the spot and I'm from Oak Cliff in Dallas and taste like the Mexican I grew up eating.
Awesome food and service. We drive to eat here several times a month. At lunch they are super quick. I've never had the experience with the salsa that the above mentioned complainer had--note she never leaves complimentary reviews. We've always had delicious, hot food with plenty of chips and salsa and tea. The service has always been amazing...very helpful waitstaff. Fajitas and Garcia's Nachos are my faves, younger child loves the Cheese Taco plate! :)
Favorite restaurant ever! The food is absolutely phenomenal and staff is so friendly, warm and helpful. Very clean and always adding improvements to the building! The owner remembers my family and is always so sweet and accommodating. Our family will go out of our way to eat here because we love it so much. Give them a visit and try their appetizers, and you'll be hooked right away!
Probably the fastest service I've ever received at a restaurant. The ladies were spot on with the salsa delivery to the table and the food was delicious. The price was way cheaper than I had expected. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area again
We moved to Granbury around 2013 and fell in love with Garcias food immediately. It became one of our favorite places to eat because the food is delicious, the atmosphere and location were great for us. It also is very reasonably priced and the long employed staff is excellent. You cannot go wrong here!

4 only because I have not tried everything on the menus. Great staff and service. Red Salsa is good and Green Salsa is served warm and it is spicy and good as well. Will return
Well staffed making this a place to get in and get out pretty quickly. I have never waited for a seat and I've always gotten my food out quickly as well. Also reasonable prices.
Great food, decent prices, great people, family run business. I love supporting local
Great little place. Good food. Rather large menu and everything is good. Burgers and CFS good too. Salsa was homemade and good, but lacked any heat. Minus one star for the salsa. Service friendly.
Great service with good food. Chips were super fresh and hot.

Food delicious 😋 Restaurant needs updating on the inside
It's the best Tex-Mex restaurant that you will find in Tolar!
Not many choices in the area so this restaurant ends up being more acceptable because of its convenience. The food was pretty good with lots of choices. Everybody at my table enjoyed what they had. It was priced reasonably but the largest downfall was the fact that the atmosphere was not very appealing. I would go back there again if I was in the area and hungry. Simply because it seems like the better choice out of others near by.

I'm not going to give this a bad review but I'll just let y'all know a couple of things I didn't like. If you get a soda they bring a can . You don't get refills on your chips & sausa The taco had a slice of tomatoe. The food was ok .the price is average
I was worried about this place because the salsa and queso were sooo bland. Such a contradiction because my fajitas were AMAZING! The seasoning was perfection 😍 I got a mix of chicken and steak.
I like to grab a taco salad at lunch. Haven't tried much else. Very friendly staff
Good food. Specials. Fair prices. When we arrived, our table was dirty. Also the service was poor. We weren't even able to get a refill, nor did anyone inquire as to whether we were enjoying our meal or if we needed anything.
This is the second time that I have ordered there for take out, the first time Wasn't anything special? It wasn't bad. It just wasn't really good. this time. I paid $30 for hardly anything. I like the one in Granbury better. So I won't be going back to the one in

It's not nearly as good as the Garcia's in Granbury. I know the selections are limited, but I could notin good conscious recommend them if you want decent TexMex.
We ordered the queso fondido and since it didn't come out on a hot skillet it hardened within minutes and made it impossible to eat. I had the tacos el carbon and it was unseasoned meat . Thank god for the toppings or else it would of been super bland. The salsa was good.
Food was very bland. Rice was dry and no flavor covered it with the mild sauce cause it's not hot at all. Nachos with meat were a poor excuse for Nachos no flavor at all.My wife had fajita enchiladas with rice and beans. Beans were the only good thing. Lived in Tolar for over 16yrs and only second time eating here and won't be back. MI Famila is much much better.

I have never in my life have dined in a restaurant in Texas were the hot sauce- salsa was restricted or limited until now . My friend and i come several times a month to your establishment and up until our visit last Friday, considered Garcias our favorite Mexican restaurant. We are both salsa freaks and i always tell the waitress as we are receiving our water to please bring extra salsa to save steps. I had to catch the waitress multiple times during our dining experience . I do not enjoy Mexican food unless it is covered in salsa..When she was reluctant to bring an extra salsa out for myself and my friend , i ask if there was a problem. She told me she would get in trouble as the waitresses were told not to bring out more than one salsa a person by her manager... Never in my life ..never in Texas..Never dine there again ..............
Queso so watered down you can’t even taste the cheese. Chili con Carne sauce that taste like dog food. Cheese enchiladas with practically no cheese in them. Visiting here from San Antonio and I know what good Tex-Mex is. You won’t find it at this restaurant.
I would not even give it one star!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!! The food I ordered was wrong and barely warm and the rice tasted burnt! I took 2 bites and that was enough for me!! My husband got the chalupa plate and they had a small scoop of beans not even spread.. a pound of lettuce and one tiny slice of tomato not even chopped up and the tortilla was stale.. he only ate one and we left ... I told the server about my order she was obviously not concerned but did offer to get me something else but we chose to leave instead of waiting another 25 minutes for food... Got up to the register and the girl asked me how everything was and I told her and she got mad that I was telling her how awful it was... Can't fix what you don't know about... Please don't waste your money ... Locals may like it but it's probably the worst Mexican food we've ever had... YUK!!!

We arrived a few minutes past opening time at 11am. There were cars in the parking lot. We got to the door, and it was locked. We saw people sitting inside, but they couldn't hear the knock because of the foyer and another door that led into the restaurant. We went back to the car, and I called Garcia's to ask if they were open? She said yes, then I let her know the door was locked. When we walked back, the door was open. We were waited on and ordered promptly. The food came out quick, so quick it was lukewarm. We decided not to have it sent back, but just mention it to the cashier for other customers' benefit. When mentioned, the cashier didn't even acknowledge our comment. All we were looking for was a reply such as, 'I'll let the kitchen know.' That's it, that's all we wanted.
