The flavor of the food is consistently good. I've never had a problem with anything I've ordered.

I love this place. This is the first place I come to when visiting from out of state. John Chicken finger sub is worth the 11-hour drive.

Pleasant dining area with air conditioning & comfortable seating, very clean & great location. Pizza was tasty & done to perfection. We'll be back for more soon.

I would venture to say maybe the best sub I have ever had. Bread was unbelievably fresh and it was the middle of the afternoon. Absolutely a must try place if you’re out in Tonawanda!

I work and live close by. This has become my lunch spot of choice. The staff are fantastic, always friendly and get everything out really fast. The food is always fresh and tasty. I'm currently eating a delicious Stinger from here and wanted to give them the kudos they deserve. I love John's!

Amazing subs specially our favorite the chicken finger sub

We stopped in for some slices. The pepperoni was delicious tasting and hefty. The sauce was Sweet and very good. The crust was crunchy on the bottom, which tasted great! The fountain drinks were self serve, always a plus! The staff members were all so friendly and happy. We really enjoyed our food and the whole experience. Wonderful from start to finish!

I so enjoyed visiting Johns today. The staff of young men were very patient and accommodating. I finally chose a couple Turkey subs and mozzarella sticks. The subs were the best I have had in a long time.... we so enjoyed them. The mozzarella sticks were very disappointing. A little greasy, so thick and hard to chew. I will definitely be back for another sub soon!

This is one of the best pizza places. "3 Cheese Steak Pizza" is amazing tasty. Recommend. The price what was very acceptable. Chicken Wings are good and the portions just the right size. "Onion Rings" and "Funnel Cake Fries" i took to go and they was made just few min before i left the place. Service is great! Love this place.

Go there! Vitara made the food so perfectly! The atmosphere is lively, good music, clean and there are tvs. I almost didn't go to because the John's on Transit in Williamsville is so bad. I am glad I didn't pass them by.

Always enjoy the food we get from here, the pizzas have a fair amount of toppings on them generously proportioned, the chicken wings are very good crispy well coated, subs have a good proportion of me the vegetable ratio and the roles they use for them are quite tasty! I would definitely suggest anyone to order a pizza or wings or both or in combination thereof in this place their food is very good!

John's on Delaware has been a great go to "oops didn't cook tonight" meal for my family and son with allergies(peanut, tree nut, and eggs). They use a clean surface and a clean knife to make our pizza and we have not had any problems with them accommodating us. It is much appreciated and great customer service! We will continue to support this business!

They have THE ABSOLUTE BEST garlic parm wings, with a special recipe that makes the skin crispy and the meat tender and juicy. At other places, I usually ask for extra crispy and have found that the wings can be dry. Not here! The flavor and texture are on point! I had them yesterday from the Delaware Ave location in Tonawanda and they were just as DELICIOUS as the order I had from their Campbell blvd location in Getzville. HIGHLY recommend… if you love garlic parm wings. And their pizza is awesome too!

I work night shift, and once a week a few gym buddies of mine give ourselves a cheat meal and it’s always pizza. Our “dinner” time is the typical persons breakfast time. Johns being open at 10am is awesome. This is where we/I order from once a week. Consistent service and quality of pizza. Never have had an issue. I honestly think Johns (at least this location on Delaware Ave) is some of the most underrated pizza in Buffalo. And the chicken finger pizza? Super good. They put diced celery on it which is unique. Adds a nice crunch. Give ‘em a shot.

Underrated Buffalo Pizza and Subs. Ate here for lunch with the family and everyone left stuffed and satisfied. Pizza crust is fluffy and cup and char pepperoni. Had both Chicken and Steak Philly Subs and both were great. Highly recommend to check this place out.

My wife and I came here for a quick bite to bring home. We both ordered Royal subs and we're not disappointed. It was exactly if not more than what I expected. They were delicious! The girl who was behind the counter was friendly and the cooks were quick. While this isn't our regularstop, my in-laws go here at least once or twice a week as they live in senior apartments nearby. They loved it here as well.

Delicious Food! Fast Service! A bit pricey compared to other Pizza & Sub-shops! Overall would recommend there white pizza and chicken finger subs!

Though the service is pretty good and the food is as well, the prices just keep getting higher and higher as the owner apparently has an absurd number of kids going to college. While the owner's infinite children go to college one after another the workers are not paid anything extra as the prices raise.

They over cooked my onion rings and I know things are expensive but when you put one tomato on each half it seems worthless

Great spot for a couple of slices at lunch. Love the "Rancher" and "Steak w Hot Pepper" specialty slices. Decor is minimal with posters of famous "Johns," but the price is right, the service is fast and I approve.

Not a huge fan of their pizza, but again, like the rest of my reviews will tell you.. I'm a bit of a pizza brat. But, their subs are great. Highly recommend the chicken finger subs 😁

I live in Buffalo but I will travel all the way to Tonawanda just to get my favorite stinger Sub eight times out of 10 it is absolutely fabulous. But every now and then seems like somebody made the sub that has no idea what they're doing! Besides that John's makes Great subs chicken fingers are good too! Bunch of kids working last time I went in there and they were amazing had everything down pat! It seems like everybody in there was a good worker

This location is pretty good. They sometimes make the Western chicken finger sub a little too messy, but last time, I asked them to make it less messy with not so much sauce, and they did exactly as I asked. Friendly service on most occasions. A few times, delivery wasn't available because they didn't have a driver, which was frustrating, but life happens.

Our food was ready right on time at the scheduled pick up. The chicken finger sub was big and tasted great. The funnel cake fries were sweet and covered in cinnamon and powdered sugar. The pizza was average so we’ll definitely stick with the subs next time.

I like John's but it's hit and miss. Sub rolls should be toasted. About half the time they are not. Not a fan of the pizza but the subs when rolls are toasted are on point.

Most of the time that I order here, they’re great. Today I called in an order and spoke with a worker named Caroline (I think). She was super rude and very short with me.

Delivery was within reasonable time and polite however the order taker charged us for extra dinner we didn't ask for and then forgot to pack a fork in with my cloe slaw

Great pizza and llunch specials. Service except for today. I ordered their lunch special 2 slices & drink. Got the drink but had to ask where my slices of pizza ...35 minutes later....all l got was "sorry" waited another 3-4 minutes for them to warm up their all ready made pizza.....over 45 minutes to have lunch. I was the only one of two customers in the store at 2pm...

This is an older locally owned establishment that makes far better sandwiches then pizza. It pizza failing is its crust. The sauce is too sweat, not like I was taught at the Sons of Italy, and a pizza shop I used to work at when younger.

First time ordering delivery with them. I usually order from JTs pizza wanted to try something different. A lot more pricier and not as much fries for a large! Most likely probably will not order delivery again though.

Sorry to say that John's has faltered in the past couple years. Used to be the best and my "go to" place, but they've raised prices beyond their competition, the subs are significantly smaller than before, and they now add a surcharge if you use a credit card. We now patronize the other local places that are trying harder to provide good value.

Super disappointed in our last visit. Used to love their subs, they were always my favorite. But my fiancé got half a chicken finger sub and got one small chicken finger, our order of chicken fingers was 30 dollars for 20 and they were all super small chicken fingers, and we were told a certain time, we came at that time and our food was cold. Like it had been sitting there for awhile cold. Seriously hoping it was just a fluke and this isn’t an every time thing now.

Been going to John's for well over 20 years I don't know if it's due to the cost of ingredients the supply chain but ordered a usual ribeye cheese steak pizza, family tray 30 bucks out the door. 15 small thin squares. The Pizza is half the size in thickness now and ingredients. Like eating a slice of cardboard pizza. Flavor still good but reduced due to pizza being much smaller. If I'm going to pay the higher prices you might as well keep the amount of dough and ingredients the same.

The pizza was good, but under done. The dough was chewy and the bottom soft. I ended to throwing it in a cast iron pan to crisp it up some. The Buffalo chicken wrap was tasty, but very small. It wasn't filling at all. The steak and cheese was also good, but under seasoned. Needed salt and pepper.

Philly steak hoagy was dinky for $12, and it wasn't that good either. I'll go to Jim's Steakout next time I want a steak hoagy for $12. At least they load it up.

Ordered 2 chicken finger subs and 10 wings and it came out to be almost 40 dollars. The Wings were dry and chewy.

Missed the mark. Ordered Turkey club and Roast beef sub. Arrived home to find a turkey sub with no bacon. Plus apparently you have to build your own at home as they give you separate oil and mayo containers. Not sure about everyone else but I like to just unwrap and eat. Not take apart to try to put dressings on.

Very disappointed. The Hercules needs to hit the gym... Three pieces of ham and only one piece of turkey dosn't sound "piled high" to me. I could have went somewhere else and ended up more satisfied. I used to order this sub all the time, BECAUSE it was piled high. No real reason for me to come back to John's, as this was my go to order along with the salads.

Filthy with a capital F. Food is fine but the floor was sticky, carpet was soggy in places. The tables werent wiped off very well. The TV had dirty rag smudges on it as if someone lazily wiped it off with the wrong cleaner or dirty rag. The ceiling has a gaping hole in it where the air duct is. I just cant imagine that the kitchen is any cleaner than the common sitting area. Nor can I imagine the manager coming in to work, looking around and saying "Yep, I am giving it my best!"

I love the food here. Just the Customer service kinda needs improvement. Its a downer to call for delivery you get a lame person answer the phone made me feel unwelcome. If you don't like ypur job get a new one, dont treat Customers like were nothing

Great wings but the one thing that truley bothers me are the size of there chicken fingers. Similar price as most places but half the size. Feels like I'm get ripped off everytime.

Took very long to make what we ordered even after they say 15 min we waited 45 minutes for a pizza. Also very rude customer service. The pizza slices was small. But the pizza was good

Consistently undercooked and over priced pizza. It's not hard to cook a pizza until it's thoroughly done. Guessing lack of experience and guidance in the Tonawanda location judging by the young kids I see when I pick up food. Not likely spending my hard earned money here anymore.

This is the second time I ordered a steak sub with fried green peppers and onions. Instead I got raw peppers and onions lettuce tomato. I was so disappointed when I called to complain it didn't mean a thing to then. I not happy with the service at all. I was told we go through alot of people sothey are always new. If they can't take an order right they don't need the work.

The price of the Nightmare sub on line and on their board is $13.09, yet when we went to pick up, they tried to charge us $33.00 for 2 subs. We pointed to what their posted price was and they said their prices are subject to change. So they tried to charge way more than their posted price. They can keep their food. This is a dishonest business practice!

We ordered 2 pizza’s When we got them home the crust was so thin on both of them. I called and was told that they had a problem with the pizza dough rising and that I could bring them back and they would redo them or they would give me 20% off the next order....I had people waiting to eat. It’s not my fault they had a problem with the dough rising.....they did not know this when they took the pizzas out of the oven.....it was very noticeable . I asked if they could give me my next pizza at 50% off and she said no....20% was the best they could do. I will never order pizza again from John’s and will let everyone I talk to know about this experience. This is not good customer service....it is ripping off the customer.

Surprised anyone gives this place 4 stars. I ordered a chicken finger sub and got maybe 3 or 4 skinny pieces, the roll was not even toasted, much less cheese melted properly. That and a ham dub cost over 22 bucks. Ripoff city. You got me once. Never again. Lots of nearby places I can and will go Instead.

I have had Philip cheesteak subs in Vegas where I have just moved from, I thought it would be more authentic here. Price was not the issue. Sub was a little bland for my taste buds. This is not a bad review, simply just isn't a preference for my taste buds.

First to start I ordered two cheese pizza and one pepperoni and cheese. Before taking my order the young man was consistently touching his clothing and his face he seem to have just got finished with eating something. Upon taking my order the young man was maskless, after taking my order which came to $10 and some change. He took my money then proceeded to touch things on the counter after he was done with me he went straight to prepare my food. The young man in question proceeded to cut the slices I asked for then pick them up with his bare hands no gloves,as just before he was handling my money and touching thing on the counter and his dirty clothing. While trying to pick up the pizza wiping his hands on his clothing which were really dirty. I feel sick to my stomach we just came out of a pandemic and this level of cleanliness is unacceptable, this place needs to be shut down immediately .

Honestly I order here all the time and its usually not too bad, went to order my typical doordash but decided to save a few bucks and go pick it up. Explain how doordash (which usually upcharges and has additional fees) was $5 cheaper than me DRIVING TO THE STORE FOR PICKUP. when I asked the girl at the register (who apparently was a supervisor) I was answered with a blank stare and that the owners handle pricing. WOW! No thanks guys. I'd like to add that on 2 separate occasions I've had managers from this location call me to remedy the situation and offer to mail giftcards and never do. Shame, I really loved their garlic parm wings.

I wouldn’t go back if The food was free. I asked for a slice of pizza with black olives. The slice was super tiny, but that’s not the bad part. They took a slice of cheese pizza that was freezing cold (tasted like it was sitting out all day) and threw a handful of olives on top. The wings were burnt and tasted old. I couldn’t believe they would serve someone old food. I paid extra for the black olives. I could have ordered a slice of cheese pizza (which is less expensive) and used my olives at home to throw on top. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK HERE DONT WASTE YOUE MONEY

Ordered food an hour before delivery and it never showed up. Called back after time of delivery, first guy said "sorry we are closed" and hung up on me. Second time I called girl just said it will be on its way ...when? Horrible! Super disappointed now I have nothing for lunch be wise I ordered from this place!

Food took 1.5 hours to be delivered. I had to keep calling for updates and was told if it's not there in 20 minutes call back, the driver has your order with him. I called back when the food arrived ice cold. I was told I could have 25% off my next order. Nope, first and last time ordering here.

Very disappointed in tonight’s order of The Godfather. This is not capicollo. The order was an hour late. Very disgusted. Johns is typically my go to for subs and they’ve always done a great job but who ever is making the subs tonight needs to get talked to.

I asked for an anti pasta WITHOUT capacola( or however you spell it) and instead of listening, they chopped it super fine so I had to scoop it out with a spoon. It took 20 minutes before I just gave up and threw the whole thing away. Sometimes people have eating disorders and have certain that foods they cannot eat without getting sick. Please be more considerate in the future.

We went there half hr before they closed. Pre ordered as well so they weren't upset when we walked in. Looked like they used half the cheese becuse the last 3 inches of the pizza was missing it. Receptionist female was pretty rude asking if we were there for food. Probably would not go there again

I will never step foot into this place ever again!!!!!!!!! Last week I had to have my food remade because they didnt understand pep and mushroom on 1 half and just cheese on the other. Today I ordered a large pie with wings when I go to pick it up im having a nice casual conversation with the cashier abiut how a they shouldn't close so early on a holiday like this. Where im from all pizzerias stay open later for this holiday and she started to mumble things under her breath and told me to leave. I wish id have checked the food because I wouldnt have paid for yet another In correct order because to my surprise my large pie is a half a tray. Im absolutely done wirh this aweful place.

Clinton doesn't know how to toast a roll. After I asked three different times for it to be extra toasted. It was not toasted at all. He then argued the fact and said it was. I asked for a manager to call me and never received a call. I spent $38 dollars on two subs. The least u could do is toast it for that kind of money. I'm the one who has to eat it so if I think it's not toasted guess what it's not toasted. This roll is as soft and white as it was when you pulled it out of the bag to start my sub. It never even touched a toaster let alone extra toasted. Next time I will take my business else where where they take the time and not argue about a simple toasting.

I have been a customer for years and the decline in food and service has been completely horrible. I called to express my concerns and instead of trying to make it right they disregarded them. I asked that the manager call me back and she never called. The food was terrible. The pepperoni was charcoal. The whole place needs a cleaning. The exterior door frame is discusting and ‘sticky. The children working there need adult supervision. The order took an extremely long time (two slices). Won’t waste my money again.

I used to absolutely love their chicken finger subs! I haven’t ordered there in awhile and was craving their chicken finger sub and I was absolutely DISAPPOINTED to the max. The outside of the sub roll was burnt to a crisp, the chicken fingers were so over cooked that there was barely any meat in it. I only asked for blue cheese and jalapeños, no lettuce, no tomatoes and the sub was dripping juice everywhere. I couldn’t tell if it was the watery blue cheese or juice from the jalapeños. I ate a few bites and my son had some because I didn’t want to waste my money, but it was the worst chicken finger sub I have ever had. They must have new employees because I’ve never had this issue in the 6 years I’ve been ordering from them. I will definitely not order from them again, I’ll just go to Franco’s.
