Great place after the panchmukhi Hanuman visit to enjoy Indian style buffet. All the dishes were good, tasty and just what was very welcoming. We enjoyed the buffet. 6 of us. Greatness two enjoy the evening Create value for money and time. Apple parking, clean, rest rooms and good service
First time visiting! Went for the lunch buffet. Staff are very attentive, food is excellent, and the place is nice and clean. Definitely will visit again. 😊
This place is amazing. He most flavorful and decently priced. I’ve had countless pleasures visiting this lovely place but always seem to forget to get a picture while the food is on my plate. That’s how great the food is. The favorite of mine would be the butter chicken and my friend loves the custard dessert. I do wish they offered a couple more dessert options but everything they had available was amazing! Keep this establishment going! Edit 02/05/2023: Finally have a picture to show how amazing the food looks and how full your plate will be when you see all the delicious options! The dessert custard is so amazing that if I was dying and that’s all I had to eat, I would die happy! Love this place! Ps. I think you would save money on rice if you served it in the smaller steel bowls you have.
As soon as you walk in, your greeted with a friendly welcoming smile, the food was well seasoned and flavors were amazing, my favorite part was the lamb and the naan (of course ), went on a rainy day so it definitely hit the spot 👌If you are in the area it’s a definitely MUST TRY!
Utsav has grate dishes and the dishes are very rich in flavor! The options may be limited but the ones available are soooo good! If you’re not used to south Asian dishes you will not regret starting here! The paneer is delicious and the rice is served very fresh. All of these for very cheap! an ‘all you can eat’ for this very cheap is a deal!
the food was really tasty and we got the perfect amount! we are vegetarian, so we ordered a vegetarian biryani and channa masala with plain naan. delicious!

The interior is fancy, with plenty of space. Tableware and water glass is lined neatly the moment you walk in. The food is typically around $15 more or less, and its amazing. The naan they serve is also fresh, soft, and addictive. They also have a buffet option for lunch and dinner as well, and I would say it’s worth the price (around 18$ per person). I recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Indian curry restaurant.
Five stars. For context, I’ve been eating Indian food for about 14 years, and I don’t believe in mediocre food just for the sake of it. When the chefs and ingredients are high quality, the food speaks for itself. That’s exactly what I found here. I came on a Saturday for the buffet, which was only $15 — an incredible price for all-you-can-eat. The naan was standout: served fresh in four generous pieces, with a buttery, slightly sweet flavor that almost reminded me of pancakes. Easily one of the best naan I’ve ever had. I tried the chicken tikka masala, and it was exceptional. I expected it to be very spicy, but it was perfectly balanced — maybe a 3 or 4 out of 10 on spice level. The chicken was clearly high quality, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Whatever cream they use is remarkable: I’m extremely lactose intolerant, yet I had no reaction at all, which never happens for me with dairy. The mango lassi (about $5) was also fantastic — a generous portion and easily a 10/10. My counterpart ordered the aloo gobi, gulab jamun, and another lassi, and everything was phenomenal across the board: great flavor, well-balanced spice, and made with quality ingredients. The staff was just as wonderful as the food: friendly, kind, attentive, and always checking if we needed water or naan. They were chatty in a warm, inviting way, and it was clear they genuinely care about the dining experience. Seating is a little tight, but the tables are comfortable, and they’re happy to seat you wherever works best. It’s a shame the restaurant isn’t busier — they told us the summer heat can make business harder, since fewer people want heavy food in the heat. But honestly, this food isn’t “too heavy” at all; it’s vibrant, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back, likely on a weekday to try their regular menu outside the buffet. But even just the weekend buffet was outstanding. Fantastic people, phenomenal food. Highly recommended.
One room restaurant with an all you can eat buffet. The food is freshly made and delicious. There are dishes for both vegetarian and meat eaters. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
Service was impeccable, fooled was better than expected. Stopes in whole my car was getting charged and had a wonderful meal. Highly recommend.
Utsav was the perfect place to relax and have a savory bite before visiting the nearby South Shore Botanical Gardens. All my favorite dishes and a few new ones were all delicious. Samay tended to us and the other guests promptly. The sweet rice “kheer” rounded off our well priced lunch buffet.
It was small but comfortable. The food selection was excellent. Food was fresh seasoned well service was excellent and kind will definitely come back. It is worth the trip. Don’t expect glamour in this restaurant, but do Expect excellence. You won’t be disappointed. Just be careful though it is small.
Came here for my birthday, did not disappoint at all!! My favorite dish is their Shahi Paneer & the owner gave me a free dessert (for my birthday) which was amazing! Great customer service & delicious, energizing food.
Man, does this place just hit ALL of the flavors. The Rogan Josh is my go to, along with their sag paneer(phenomenal). Their shrimp biryani is excellent as well. Really can’t go wrong here and the hospitality is very generous. This place is the real deal, don’t miss it
Not “one of”…THE BEST Indian food place that we are fortunate to live near!! I’m Indian and if I am telling you that Utsav is the best Indian food place, BELIEVE ME!!! I order from them the same thing atleast 1-2 times per week: Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka (medium spice) with rice and garlic naan! I can usually make most Indian foods at home, but these are the 2 foods that I have no idea how to make at home so I always order from them. Great service and the guys are always so incredibly kind! :)
The food was so good and everyone was so helpful and kind. Great place to eat Indian food especially for the first time. 10/10
Really amazing food and kind staff, buffet during lunch hours is cheap and delicious, the bread is amazing and also the mango lassi, thank you!
just stepping into the restaurant had my mouth watering; the food is amazing and the staff even more so. i came with some friends and we all got the lunch buffet, which everything was hot and tasted fresh. highly recommend if in the area

Close to my pad, tried them out. The burani rice is wet not steamy dry. I don't know why. Very spicy which made me loose some weight. Friendly people and your take out is fast. Will try other things and update.
The best indian food in Torrance!!! Went for buffet to try the variety and everything was delicious. My favorite was the butter chicken, so much flavor and so tender. Tried tandoor chicken and curry chicken which was also amazing. Great service and very welcoming. This is my new take out spot and can’t wait to come back!
It was my first time dining here and I plan to come back. Very friendly and attentive staff. I did the buffet style and there were various dishes some that I recognized and others that I didn't. I tried them all. My favorite ones were the chicken tandoori and the Veggie korma. The flavors were potent. Don't be afraid to try all the dishes. They also have a regular restaurant menu in addition to the buffet section.
We came for weekday lunch, knowing that they offer a buffet every day of the week. On weekdays it seems chicken & veg only, weekends also lamb curry. About 9 or so tables, only one other was occupied, it's a small restaurant. Service unfortunately left much to be desired, after waiting 8 minutes at the table we had to just start going to the buffet... No water refill unless we walked up and asked, no dirty plates cleared after several trips to the buffet. Don't go here if you're in a hurry.... The food was excellent! Freshly made naan & garlic naan was on point, butter chicken, curry, tandoori chicken were full of flavor and spice. Dal tasted pleasant. They also offer kheer as dessert on the buffet. We'd go back for the food alone, hopefully service improves as it gets busier!

We opted for the afternoon buffet. The selection was rather limited, with the absence of biriyani being notable. If you're seeking a more Indianized culinary experience, this might not be the best fit, as the flavors lean towards a more Americanized palate. The lack of taste was apparent, and plates were swiftly cleared even while we were still eating 🍽️. Service was prompt, and the food wasn't served piping hot. Ultimately, this isn't the place for those craving a truly flavorful and appetizing meal 🍱.
