Updates were made. The carpet is brand new. The whole place looks nicer. The bathroom smell is gone. Great tasting food. I had bbq ribs, ham, steak. Bourbon chicken, pot roast, and a bunch of veggies. I had chocolate pie with ice cream and hot fudge for dessert. I also had breaded fish and baked fish. The waiter came over many times to fill drinks, remove used plates, and check up on us. This is one awesome buffet with a lot of good tasting food.

This was my best experience at Golden corral! Upon arrival, my husband and I were greeted by a lovely server by the named of Dascha. The Manager, Caroline, made sure my food was very good, the service was great and the flow of traffic was smooth!

The food was very delicious. The service at the front didn't really say much. 2 young ladies, just took our money, didn't offer us our silverware we had to ask for them. They were yapping away with each other. But the young man bussing the tables in the area where we sat very helpful and polite, and attentive to our needs. He had the area very clean. The food was delicious, definitely will return. Little expensive but well worth it. Just make sure you're very hungry when you go to get your money's worth.

Great family atmosphere! Clean eating areas. Plenty of hot food to go around for everybody. Wide variety of food dishes replenished with minimum to no wait time. Food was flavorful without high sodium content. Deserts were like no where else (in other words - out of this world). What a way to lift the spirits of a family who just lost and buried a love one. I always love Golden Corral. I hope they will open one again in St. Petersburg, FL. As always, there is so much delicious food you can indulge in, and that's what I love about this place. Service was good, and I definitely had a good time here with my daughters, whom I visited.

Amazing Staff at the Ready. The moment my family and I walked in were greeted and helped. They asked how many adults and age of children. Priced based on the time you go in and amount of people based on adult or child. Prices are fair, in my opinion, no complaints. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center. Also seen handicap ♿️ parking and electric ports near. There were so many options of food to pick from. I'm excited to try new things and glad to see the kids eating, which is hard to believe in how picky they are. The cooks that helps serve were nice and explained the food if needed also. 5-5 will be coming back. Just from the staff alone! Good job!

Suuuper delicious and so worth $13 for dinner. I started with hot vegetables - corn on the cob (omg), broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peas, green beans (eh), green bell pepper and onion (meant to go with the steak but I'm vegetarian), carrots, and brown rice. I did not eat the baked potato since I got that by mistake (mislabeled). All good and delicious. Then, a salad - spinach, beets, chickpeas, pickles, kidney beans, hard-boiled egg bits, and cherry tomatoes dressed in extra virgin olive oil. Very, very good. Then a hot main plate - some leafy greens, green bell pepper and white onion again, fried okra, vegetarian egg roll, mac and cheese, cheesy potatoes, broccoli with cheese (my first time trying it). Couldn't finish the fried stuff, but it was great. Last plate was dessert - blueberry pie, fondue-dipped strawberries and rice krispies, a bit of sweet potato casserole, a bit of banana bread pudding, and a bit of apple cobbler, two pieces of fudge, and a slice of blueberry pie (didn't touch it after the first bite since it was heavy). Couldn't finish the fudge, though it was soft and delicious. Honeydew was ok, canteloupe was better. They even had cotton candy in two flavors - pink and blue. Everything was AWESOME!!!

Well I haven't been to and all you can eat comfort food in a long time and although I live in Stockton it was definitely worth the drive to Tracy everything was fresh cold when it's supposed to be cold hot when it's supposed to be hot at the time I visited it sitting was limited but still okay price definitely okay for what they have to offer 😀

For the price its a decent amount of food thr stsff was wonderful i paid $15.99 for dinner starts at 3:00pm. They have a broad seection of comfort food.. its decent quality again for the price... they have chicken, beef pot roast, grilled chuck steak its pretty good.

We came here to Golden Corral from Stockton. We were greated with a cashier who was very pleasant. The food was very good. Caroline greated and was also very pleasant.

Lourdes is amazing! She’s always kind, helpful, and such a delight. This location never fails, and most of the staff are very friendly and hardworking. I do wish some of the managers smiled more. Most employees are welcoming, but one of the male managers didn’t seem as friendly. Hopefully he’ll be warmer next time. The only disappointment was that there was no broccoli or cauliflower today, which I usually eat since I don’t eat rice. Overall, still five stars because of Lourdes and the great service!

I love the customer service we get from Lourdes. She is very friendly, respectful and treats you like family. She makes sure our dirty dishes are promptly cleaned out of our table. Our experience was amazing! Food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The manager Caroline was present and walking around the Restraunt checking on people and really set a comfortable vibe. I have a big family and several small children and it was good to be someplace and not feel like they were a bother to people. I live in the East Bay and there is no Golden Coral this is the closest one in Tracy, so this is my first time trying this place. Free Refills on Soda's and the food are also good better than Hometown buffet. There are servers to help you refill your drinks and clear out any finished plate. overall, I like this place and recommend you try it if you haven't.

Pros: Wide verity of food, pies, cake, ice cream and icy. Great value (cheaper than eating at most restaurant) and don't forget to download that app for $5 off and reward points (about 10% back). Staff (cashier, waiter, servers..) were all super nice. Cons: Could use a remodeling. Steak was tender but seasoned a little salty. Vast amount of food but some items are stale. Might be better to have some steaks un(der)seasoned so customer can do themselves. Also focus of few popular items to keep them fresher.

The selection of course is wide spread. I am assuming regular time is 6pm. I generally hit about 5. Food is fresh, seating open. Take your time...it's all good.

It was very crowded. It was expensive in my opinion, but a lot of meat was offered... Steak made to order, RIBS, pot roast with veggies, fried chicken, taco meat, nachos, pastas, steak fries, popcorn shrimp and all the fixings, among other things ... $20 includes a fountain drink. It was organized. Food kept coming out. Food was fresh and for the most part hotter and more flavorful than other buffet places I have been to before. This place is hectic on Sundays. The good food quality has been consistent. They offer a variety of foods for any picky eater. Affordable.

The food is always great here. The staff works as you’d expect at a buffet. The only reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars is parking….and they seemed to never have enough of those delicious smashed spuds for everyone! Seriously…I like this location. Hopefully the parking problem changes…

Overall it's a great place to eat dinner for $20/person. Food-3.5/5. The steaks were pretty good for all you can eat. Relatively soft and had good flavor. The candy mashed yams we're also good. I'm not a brown sugar and marshmallow on my sweet potato guy but it wasn't that sweet. The chicken the greens and the bread were all pretty good. I gave it a 3.5 instead of A4 because it's not as good as other places I've eaten that I gave 4.0 to but it's definitely better than fast food

Nothing has changed since the last time i stopped by into one of these places since early 2015. We stopped by for dinner this time in Tracy, CA. Most foods are just warm. Pot roast was a bit salty. $19.99 + drink for seniors. I rated the service 4 stars because he was attentive to tend to our table seem to be every 5 mins. He was great. The atmosphere is the same as any regular buffet places.

I'm not a fan of AYCE buffet. My iced cold tea tasted water downed and it was lukewarm. The salads were okay. The only food I enjoyed were the spring mixed salad, fried okra and the strawberry jello. Nothing to write home about here at Golden Corral.

This location is in serious need of a remodel. The atmosphere feels outdated, grimy, and uninviting, which takes away from the overall experience. It’s not an appetizing environment, and the outdated look gives off a depressing vibe. The food itself was great, but the setting didn’t match the quality. In contrast, the Concord location has a more modern feel, and its food presentation looks fresher. While the staff here are professional and welcoming, and they clearly know their regular customers, the overall atmosphere matters just as much as good service. In 2025, a place shouldn’t still feel stuck in the early 2000s. A refresh would make a huge difference, creating a space where both the food and the experience are enjoyable.

The food was okay. The best things are on the desert table. They never came to clear our plates and we had to take them to an empty table ourselves. Not set up well for Handicapped people either.

Quality of the food was ok. The meat in the sliders were overcooked and the pot roast was dry. I ended up liking the fried zucchini, green beans, stuffing with gravy, and sauteed spinach the most. It's hard to complain when the total was just $11.46, including tax (soda is like $3 extra). The waitress was very quick to clear the table and refill. As alternatives, I might go to Sweet Tomatoes or Black Bear Diner. (Note: this review might be slightly biased as I just had a much better buffet at Thunder Valley Casino just a couple days ago for $16.10, including soda.)

A rare to see American Buffet and for good reason. Mediocre at best and their only redeeming item was the grilled chicken options. Not a horrible idea to drop by for breakfast with prices now a days else were but I'd skip dinner.

The place looks great! They’ve repainted the walls and made a big improvement to the drinks area, now with a self-serve setup similar to the Concord location. It’s a nice upgrade. However, I noticed that with the new drink system, many customers are no longer tipping the servers. It’s easy to forget that, even though we’re getting our own drinks now, the staff is still working hard—cleaning tables, removing plates, and keeping things running smoothly. Overall, it’s good to have this buffet back. The changes are subtle, but the experience is still solid.

I went on a Saturday 10am for breakfast. Had a made to order omlette my way. It was great. I also had an orange guava juice that was part of breakfast that came free so I didn't buy a drink just my meal. I had variety of fruits, cereal, green salad, imitation crab salad, and banana French toast with sugar free syrup. 😋 By the time I was ready for my second round lunch menu started replacing breakfast items and got fried chicken,fried catfish, fried okra, hot potato fries. The quality and price of what I paid was worth my visit since I was craving a little bit of everything. I was satisfied and the servers were very friendly.

Our server was friendly. This location has gone downhill drastically. Most of the food was either cold or Luke warm at best. Missing name tags on most dishes. Steaks were pre-cooked and sitting in a pan. The women's bathroom was out of soap, dirty, and felt like I was entering a dungeon since only half the lights were working. Chemicals were also left sitting on the floor under the sink. Broken doors that did not close. The parking lot was filthy.

I actually had to call the manager this time. Picked up a to-go plate. I put the buffalo chicken on my salad. IT WAS EXTREMELY HARD, CHEWY COLD AND STRINGY. The manger actually said 'we don't recycle the chicken". But there is NO WAY the chicken was not old and "reheated". INEDIBLE. Please just FIX it! There is no reason NOT to give customers their money's worth with fresh food.

Golden Corral in Tracy is usually good, the food is hot and fresh most of the time, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, my experience at this location has been repeatedly affected by one particular employee at the steak station. This employee has consistently been rude and unprofessional in front of other guests. He often refuses to ask for your steak preference, speaks in an impatient and harsh tone over simple requests.He often does not ask how you want your steak cooked and instead prepares it exactly how he chooses, without checking your preference. Despite giving the location multiple chances, his behavior has not improved, which has made my visits stressful. Because of this, I now drive 40 minutes to another Golden Corral branch instead of going here. It’s unfortunate, because the restaurant itself is good and the rest of the staff are nice, but this one issue significantly impacts the experience.

Have not been to Golden Corral in Tracy for a few years, unfortunately my lunch experience was not what I remembered, the salad and other ingredients to put on them were empty, the pot roast and fried chicken were both disappointing, those are my usual go to foods. For almost $23.00 for lunch including drink, I should of went to Texas Roadhouse across the street.

Let start off in the dining rooms, the carpet is stained and has seen better days, dust on blinds and lamp covers looked thick and caked on as if it remains untouched as a thick souvenir for your lungs that could cause a bronchitis or a sinus infection. The food tends to be way over salted on the majority of things, but at least that is something that is up to the person tasting it. However, It is salty enough that I expect water retention just from eating here. The bathrooms are an absolute disaster. They looked like they aren't cleaned regularly and like the dinning room is in desperate need of renovations and repairs. The handicapped stall appear to have gato written largely in marker, wet toilet paper just thrown all over, and the handicapped stall wood is buckling and damaged. The bathroom mirrors in the men's restroom also has graffiti scratched into the mirror. Also the carpet near the restroom and dining room at places are held together by tape and in other places has huge holes in it. Honestly, I'm surprised the San Joaquin Health Department and Building Departments have not fined this places until repairs are done. Next time if you want a family buffet dinner consider the sizzler in my honest opinion.

The food was not good quality. We visited at breakfast and there was not a big selection. The fruit looked like someone had taken a bite out of each piece...definitely will not visit again.

This is the first time that I have came to eat here thinking that the food would be at least good. Everything in here is unhealthy and box food like. There is absolutely no air conditioning. I will never come back to eat here. 100% will never recommend I would give this -5 stars if I could. Extremely expensive for the quality of food you receive.

Not the best place for family dinner. Food quality is bad and not much of selection. They cut down dishes and staff resulting poor services overall.

Food was very good but i can’t say the same about the service. The grill area was backed up, they constantly had a line of people waiting for the steak and the cook seemed to not have a care. She was very slow with the cooking, having 5-6 steaks down every 30 minutes on the big grill. She was walking back and forth the whole time, very slow and inconsistent. Will definitely not be coming back to this location, i was not the only customer waiting around the whole time for steak.

They use to be very good. Paid 43 Dollars for me and my 12 year old daughter to eat. Fixed a plate with fried fish popcorn shrimp mac and cheese ALL was COLD. The mac and cheese was just flavorless. The fruit(tangerine) was very old and had white specks on it. The cakes were hard. I was very disappointed for that price we should have went to texas rhodehouse across the street. The baked fish was disgusting and looked thr same. The only thing good and hot was the steak. You guys cost way too much to be serving old cold flavorless food. I can tell the cooks don't take pride in what they do there and they all needs to be fired. I don't even think we had a server either. Just horrible i won't be coming back here.

Mystery Shopper Evaluation Report To Whom It May Concern, This correspondence serves as a formal submission of a mystery shopper evaluation conducted at the Golden Corral restaurant located in Tracy, California. I was hired and contracted to anonymously visit this location to evaluate specific operational standards, including customer service, cleanliness, food presentation, and overall guest experience, and to submit a detailed report for review and reimbursement/payment purposes. During my visit, I observed that management was actively involved with the crew throughout service. Staff members appeared well-directed, food stations were consistently monitored, and the restaurant was generally well stocked and orderly. Dining areas were clean and organized, reflecting strong managerial oversight and teamwork. Regarding restroom cleanliness, the women’s restroom was inspected by my partner and found to be exceptionally clean and well maintained. However, the men’s restroom did not meet Golden Corral standards. It was noticeably dirty and requires immediate attention, as restroom conditions significantly impact guest perception and overall experience. One area of serious concern involved a gentleman working at the grill station who was wearing a green shirt. His demeanor toward guests was rude, and he appeared visibly frustrated when customers requested steak. His behavior conveyed aggression and impatience, which was unsettling to witness. When approached respectfully regarding his conduct, he showed little concern or accountability for his actions. This interaction was alarming and negatively impacted the guest experience. In contrast, an outstanding employee who deserves recognition was Danny, an employee at this location. Danny demonstrated exceptional work ethic and professionalism. He consistently moved throughout the dining room assisting guests, addressing needs, and supporting fellow team members wherever necessary. His dedication, efficiency, and positive attitude significantly enhanced the dining experience for many guests and exemplified the level of service Golden Corral strives to provide. Overall, aside from the concerns noted above, this location demonstrates strong potential, particularly due to management involvement and high-performing staff members such as Danny. Addressing the restroom maintenance issue and providing immediate coaching or corrective action for the grill station employee would greatly improve consistency with corporate standards. If I can give this place, no stars I would. Not a great variety at the salad bar. They ran out of ham there was no broccoli and the cauliflower was discolored and the lettuce was so wet. My salad was so watered down. I couldn’t even eat it. Most of the Things I picked to eat had no flavor. The only thing that was Best was the fried chicken and the hamburger slider. The drink station next to our table there was two containers of tea. Both were empty and three employees standing over talking. I came in on a Wednesday For lunch and I think I’m crossing this place off my list. Very dissatisfied. Waste of money.
