Amazing food served in a wonderful air conditioned setting. Personally this restaurant beats alux restaurant in many ways. The pork and egg ramen is a perfect balance of flavor not to salty yet packing a flavour punch. I had the chef speciality with chicken it was brilliant the noodles cooked to perfection and the chicken was soft and full of flavor when combined with the accompanying spicy soy sauce. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I wouldn't usually choose a Japanese restaurant. Hats off to the staff and the chef for making a it a night to remember. Thanks. Perry.

My family and I came to three Maiko Restaurant during our vacation to the Baha'i Principe Sian Kaan. The presentation of the food was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. Our server was very efficient as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

La experiencia japonesa se puede se puede encontrar en este lugar, sin lugar a dudas una de las mejores propuestas para la Cena para aquellos que visitan Bahía Príncipe. En este lugar, aunque pequeño se presta una gran experiencia, los platillos cada uno fue magnífico y nos trataron (como en todo el complejo) de forma muy amable y atenta, muchas felicitaciones a todo el personal de Maiko!

No soy muy “fan” de la comida japonesa, pero la verdad que fue una sorpresa lo buena que estaba la que pedí la noche que decidimos ir a cenar. Estaba todo buenísimo y el servicio estupendo.

Excelente comida japonesa para estar en zona mexicana, gran sabor y una gastronomía de alta calidad, se realiza la reserva y atienden rápido. Es posible que el restaurante esté lleno y se escuche bullicio pero no molesta. Me recibieron con bebida de cortesía, para cambiar un poco de las bebidas típicas de bar.

Comida japonesa de alta calidad en pleno Caribe mexicano. Una grata sorpresa en nuestra visita a la Riviera Maya. La comida es espectacular y la atención recibida inmejorable, el personal de sala es muy agradable y atento. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

We have stayed at 10 restaurants in Bahía Príncipe so far. This one by far the best restaurant out of the 10. We have a few more nights to check out some others, but are cancelling one of them so we can go back. Aremi (I think that’s how you spell it) was our server and the sweetest person you could ever meet. The manager there, Carmen, is also such a lovely person. The food was amazing, the service was the best. Super privileged to have eaten here!!

Our recent visit to this restaurant was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and treated to a phenomenal welcome drink that set the tone for the rest of our dining experience. Our server Rigoberto was an absolute gem, providing us with excellent service and making us feel well taken care of throughout our meal. We decided to try a sampling of all the starters, and we were blown away by the variety and quality of each dish; every single starter was a delight to the senses. We went here twice and both times it was awesome. The biggest compliment I can give is the staff. They're incredibly friendly, professional and come to your table in a timely manner. The hosting staff is also very friendly as soon as you walk in and provide a very consistent service. The food was also delicious. I wouldn't rate this as a 5-star japanese place by any means, but if you're staying at the resort as an included meal, it's pretty damn good! We got the sushi rolls and gyoza which tasted great. Put it this way - it's much better than what you'd get at a buffet or made at home, but it won't compare to an authentic Japanese restaurant. A few times I asked about the ramen. The servers tried to steer me against it but I went against their will and ordered it anyways. Out of everything on the menu, this was the only meal I didn't enjoy. The music was hilarious and a bit confusing. It felt like we were either listening to a 60s black and white horror movie or attending a funeral where the deceised was a huge opera fan. Either way, wasn't Japanese! Overall the things that matter we're covered. Clean restaurant, good food, great staff, timely service. Music sucked though.

The Chair had a huge stain between my legs. I had one scallop and a few little noodles for an appetizer. Main dish was four shrimps, one brown egg, a bit of noodles, one wedge of grilled onions and two paper thin seaweed. The waiter graciously poured the lukewarm broth in the plate and gave me a spoon which was so needed. Desert ....

Overpriced and just mediocre. I guess if you’re in Bahia principe you’re limited in options, but I would consider driving to to Tulum for better food

Completamente decepcionada después de leer los comentarios recientes de otras personas. Primero de todo, no es un restaurante Japonés ya que su carta cuenta con una mezcla de platos tailandeses y japoneses. El mesero tardó en atenderme 10 minutos, no me explicó cómo funcionaba el menú y se llevó mi cocktail antes de que lo hubiera terminado. El cocktail estaba muy rico aunque visualmente no era muy atractivo con el huevo flotando como pequeñas islas. El roll geisha es interesante y original. No tiene un sabor espectacular pero está bueno. La sopa Thom Gha Kai es un plato Thai, cocina que se caracteriza por fuertes sabores a coco y cítricos. Literalmente no sabía a nada. El porkbelly tonkatsu estaba bien jugoso. Lástima que la presentación fuera tan pobre, con cuatro trocitos de verdura y un montecito de arroz blanco aromatizado. El chizu cake es como un mochi de plátano sobre galleta y con una capa de merengue horneado encima. Bien de sabor y con la textura apropiada. El restaurante es muy ruidoso y eso que es de lejos el más pequeño de los que he visitado en el complejo de Bahía Príncipe.

Le menu du restaurant n"est pas super bien expliqué. Si vous prenez un plat de sushis cela compte pour un service. J'ai pris quatre sortes de sushis différents et au final je n'avais rien d'autre à manger. Le serveur a eu pitié de moi et m'a autorisé à prendre un dessert. Mais sinon j'aurais resté sur ma faim! Merci d'expliquer à vos hôtes au début comment ça fonctionne pour pas qu'ils aient une mauvaise surprise. Passé ce désagrément, au niveau de la cuisine, je ne trouvais pas que les sushis étaient extraordinaires, bien au contraire : très moyen au niveau goût, petits en taille. On s'attendrait à un niveau carrément supérieur qui justifierait qu'on les mange dans un restaurant japonais spécialisé et non au buffet de l'hôtel (car il faut avouer qu'à part le cadre, ce sont les mêmes sushis). Et puis de là à dire que c'est un restaurant japonais je n'irais pas jusque là. Au vue de la carte c'est plutôt un restaurant asiatique fusion. Donc à part le service qui est toujours impeccable, ce n'est pas le plus mémorable des soupers que j'ai mangés au Bahia Principe. Mais c'est juste mon expérience personnelle.

Terrible experience at this restaurant. We are staying at the Akumal resort and had bookings for many different restaurants around the resort. This was by far the worst one. Firstly, there were no staff at the entrance and it took 25 minutes for us to get seated. We sat down and got served our welcome cocktail only to be told shortly after that we need to leave and service is being refused to us. They said that we were being denied service as my son is 15 and is not allowed in Sian Ka'an. However, the Bahia principe resort considers anyone above 12 who is accompanied by someone who is 18+ as an adult. The restaurant also served my son alcohol with the welcome cocktail. As a paying customer I felt disrespected and feel the restaurant is disorganised. The staff and especially the manager Oscar was very unhelpful and would not acknowledge any of our points. Avoid this place.

Trampa para turistas. Demasiado caro para lo que es, y muy malo. 60 dólares por persona y la comida es insulsa, el ambiente es insulso y la atención es muy mala (los mozos te hacen sentir que los molestas cada vez que les hablas). Los tragos son completamente aguados y de mala calidad. El sushi del supermercado es 10 veces más rico. Definitivamente no volveremos.
