This Chinese food really beef and brocc'd my world. Ordered takeout on a Friday night and it was ready in 20mins! Food was hot, fresh, and the portions are enormous. We went for the family meal B and also added an order of honey walnut shrimp. We're gonna have leftovers for days. The broccoli had a nice crunch and not too soggy, the beef is tender and not chewy. The chicken chow mein is legit, again not soggy but full of flavor (pretty sure they msg and it's good!). Honey walnut shrimp was covered in the best honey walnut sauce. Fried rice, not dry, didn't need any extra soy sauce. For takeout in Turlock, this place is where it's at.

I usually go to the Golden dragon on West main.... Moved to this area, and tried here for the first time. The lunch price is insane,n less that $10?! I got there garlic chicken with chow mein and my husband got their orange chicken with fried rice. It came out to like $19.50 after tax! Good deal! The garlic chicken was soooo yum. 9.5/10 Chowmein 8.8/10 Orange chicken 6.7/10 could be more orangie Fried rice 6/10 seemed...mushy? Kind of seem like white rice with fried rice ingredients but the rice wasn't freed all the way it was still yummy and had a good flavor I think this guy was just long enough Over all 7.5/10 the garlic chicken is literally to die for AND the lady offer they phone? SO SWEET! And she was great In person! Are you good she noticed my hubby was riding a bike and double rapped everything!

The food is great but you have to get to the garlic chicken and the sweet and sour pork before it cools off too much. Sweet and sour pork dries out. I love the garlic chicken but once it cools off too much it gets hard to eat. Don't get me wrong. It's great. Just saying

The owners are friendly, the chefs are great at their job and quick and consistent. There are 3 female workers for the front of the house and 2 are nice, the blonde one is rude as heck! The 2 with darker hair are very friendly. The food is ok. Not that good. My husband, son and I tried the chicken chow mein, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, white rice, egg drop soup, egg roles, and foiled chicken. It was all just ok. We had it 2x, pretty much the same stuff just different day and different time of the day. I prefer golden china to China Cafe. The service is better as well!

I loved the food from the China cafe except for the egg drop soup which tasted very salty. I ordered a large container so we could share but everyone else left their soup uneaten also. The egg rolls were fabulous as well as the sesame chicken that came with an abundance of fried rice and chow mien. I have to say you do get your money's worth. I parked in the back of the restraunt rather than the front as it is on Golden State Blvd and that road is usually busy with traffic.

I come here for lunch, a great selection of Chinese food. Fast and friendly service. Only wish they would offer lunch specials again. Which means a little less food for a lower lunch time price. Definitely it's mine favorite Chinese resturant of mine. Enjoy...

The wife and I like this place. The taste of the food is very authentic. Very fresh and the plates or take out boxes are usually full to the max, giving you at least 2 meals for the price of one.

The young lady was very friendly and upbeat. The food was delicious and the serving was a lot. We will come again I love it.

Food is always good. Service is fast and friendly. Plenty of seating available. Daily specials available. Call in orders available. Restrooms are available but they are a little small and not always the tidyest.

I'm super super picky about my Chinese food and I have to say this place been three times in two weeks. Highly reccomend will be returning. Friendly service and great food.

Had broccoli beef, fried rice, chow mein and an ice water; it was delicious. Fast service. Normally there is chili oil on the table, you have to ask for it and you only get a small plastic container, I should have asked for more. 07/15/2022 - They are now charging 30¢ for hot chili oil and other condiments given in small plastic disposable containers. The only condiments on the table are salt, pepper and soy sauce. 5-19-2023 There is a new waitress. I asked the waitress if there was a new chef, she said no; the Wor Won Ton soup color seemed different and there seemed to be less vegetables; IDK. It was good it just seemed different than last time. I mostly get the Wor Won Ton soup for all the goodies, and it's nutritious. 1-30-2026 China has a 7 day a week lunch special for about $9 per plate (more or less, with extras costing more of course). Normally restaurants have the daily special Monday through Friday only. So enjoy the specials even on the weekends. 😄

My husband and I get the #11 all the time, garlic chicken and sweet n sour pork. You get a large amount of food for a reasonable price. My only complaint would be that sometimes the meat is not always as crispy as I would like it.

I have to say this was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. From the moment my son walked into the front door with the bag I could already smell that I wasn't going to like it. I took a bite an I was done it tasted strange ive never tasted anything like it before. My kids said it tasted okay and they are kinda picky maybe it was just my plate.

Orange chicken pieces were MAJORITY all bread fillings. Rice was ok tasty really, but does not make up for the rest of the meal. Bowl of steak had two pieces of meat. Honestly it was so bad I think I caught them on a bad day

They deep fried their pot stickers. Folks really need to call and ask. Unforgivable...

The chow mein tasted old they also hid most of the rice under the chow mein so it looked like there was more. The plain fried rice tasted great with the garlic chicken. Wasn't a fan of the broccoli beef. Those would be the only thing I'd go back there for. I was the only person there and was quoted 20 minutes for a single plate it took about 15. Used to love this place definitely not the same anymore.

Customer service was horrible. We weren't greeted when we came in. The 2 women behind the register were having a whole conversation using curse words and rude demeanor. After handing us our food and receipt didnt say one word to us until we turned to walk away. The food is highly over priced for what you get. The portion is good but tastes horrible. My advice is go to Golden China down Geer in the save mart plaza. Food is delicious, staff is super sweet. Disappointed and felt as if I wasted $50 on this meal.

I told her that she had repeated It with that combo included..but she swore that she only repeated what was on the receipt. But that wasn't the case. Instead of just offering me to pick up the missing combo, she said she would have to call her boss to see what she could do. She called back and said she could only offer a half off discount. Like the $90 I paid wasn't enough? I told her to play the video now me asking for that combo. I unserstand people make mistakes but make it right and offer a free combo. They aren't losing any money.... it's not that serious....

I bought the chicken teriyaki plate. The chicken taste like it went bad, so I moved on to the rice. All I can taste is oil. Still able to get past that because I had the chicken chow main to eat. The same problem taste like oil and the the one piece of chicken in that tasted bad too. I love Chinese food and have never experienced such nasty food in my life. Because I had it delivered I ended up paying $30, I am afraid to try my egg flower soup. Who ever did the cooking today was not on their game and should have made sure that the chicken wasn't bad. Pretty sure it was, I have cooked enough chicken to know when it is bad. Wasted my money, and hopefully I don't get sick for what I did eat.

Came in to sit down and eat. The waitress came and took our drink order, water with lemon and a Mr. Pibb. She told us they were out of lemon, no big deal... Asked for a straw she then said they were out of straws. Took a drink of my Mr pibb and it was completely flat. I didn't complain. In the mean time she took 2 phone orders and a lady walked in for a takeout order. We let her know we were ready before the walk in guest had ordered. She rudely said I'll be with you in a moment, wiped down the back counter then proceeded to take the 3rd take out order before ours. We got up and left. I get that a lot of business is online, but tending to in-house customers is important as well. There was only one other person dining in. I can see why will not be returning. Horrible customer service.

Rice was clearly reheated and flavorless, chow mien was dry and the only flavor it had was ginger and the mongolion beef main entree was so bad with broccoli that again was over cooked. Seemed to me they just served reheated stuff from the day before (and maybe the day before that). I sent my lunch back. Their lunch prices are crazy high even if the food wasnt garbage. The server was super nice, which is really the only positive thing I can say about China Cafe in Turlock.

This place needs major help in getting a better cook or need to retrain the cook. I don't like giving bad reviews but our community needs to know. So we can better spend our hard earned money in a better quality Chinese restaurant.

I ordered from here and was totally caught by surprise how nasty the food tasted. I ordered 3 plates and I swear the food tasted rotten. The chicken had a sour taste and a awful smell. I never complain about food but this was truly disgusting. 70 dallors later they wanted make me new plates. But after that experience I never want to eat here. The state health inspector should visit this place to get to the bottom. Later that day my wife, baby and I had stomach aches and we all eventually threw up.

I keep giving this place a chance I keep thinking it’s gonna get better. Every time I eat it, the chicken is so hard I cannot chew it I waited a while to try it again and sure enough tonight, the chicken is hard. I cannot chew it. I had to spit it out. Very disappointing when you pay for something expecting something good and it is not. And no, I am not bringing it back to get more to replace it because it will probably be the same
