Came to Burning X Korean BBQ and had a great experience. The space is clean, spacious, and well-kept, with a more traditional KBBQ setup that feels comfortable and not overwhelming. The self-serve banchan bar is super convenient and always stocked, which makes the experience feel easy and relaxed. Meat quality was solid overall, but the beef tongue really stood out — thinly sliced, tender, and cooked perfectly on the grill. One thing I really appreciated is that this is a spot where you can comfortably dine solo, which is rare for KBBQ places. Service was attentive, food came out quickly, and I never felt rushed. Great option for both groups and solo KBBQ cravings — I’d definitely come back 🔥
Burning X really surprised me. Lately I have been eating AYCE KBBQ too many times that the flavor and meat quality has been just okay and these spots claimed to be really top tier kbbq spots has been a let down. It's good but not OMG, I want to go back again vibes. BUT!!! Burning X's LA Galbi, is absolutely delicious. I am soooo in LOVE. To the point we stopped eating the marinated boneless short rib, rib finger, wagyu beef belly, premium short ribs, pork jowls and just focused on LA Galbi with the 3 bones. We order 5 orders. It comes in a set of two. It really has a great balance of flavor not being too salty or sweet or bland and the tenderness, amazing . Honestly all the pieces were excellent! Next time, I'm gonna ignore all the meats and just get the LA Galbi Short Rib ( with the bones)!!! I also enjoyed their kimchi bar, the pickled soy onions & radish and their salad with all of my LA Galbi Short Rib pieces. Absolute heaven and the service was amazing!
One of my top 5 KBBQ experiences in the Tustin/Irvine area. The restaurant has good lighting, clean seating and an overall great aesthetic. There’s a bar in the middle containing Banchan like kimchi, salads, and some meats like pork belly/bulgogi. The grills are hot and start up quickly and the food is overall very clean and delicious. For every visit I’ve had here, the servers and host have been very kind and attentive to my customers needs. BIG SHOUTOUT TO JAE/JAY, I came early near their last call and he got me situated immediately. Got my rice paper and sauces/salts. He has amazing service skills. I appreciate the great service and hospitality, along with the quick delivery on food. Big Ws for Burning X! 또 올게요 ✌️✌️
Adding this KBBQ spot straight into my rotation! They’ve got a killer lunch special Monday–Thursday from 11:30 AM–3 PM for just $21.99. We went for Combo A today — 44 items for $26.99 per person — and it was so good. You can really taste the quality in their meats, and I found myself going back for pork belly over and over again. They also have a self-serve buffet station in the center where you can grab your own meats and banchan, which I love because you never have to flag down a server for more sides. Overall, the vibes were great, the music was bopping, and the service was on point. Definitely coming back.
Wonderful selection of quality meat here! We had a great lunch trying out the kitchen menu as well as the all you can eat meat bar. We picked the premium menu and loved the marinated prime beef boneless short rib cut the most. I appreciate how our grill was changed often and how there was attentive service.
I've been craving Kbbq so we decided on Burning X for lunch and went with their premium menu. The servers were very attentive and helpful, we weren't sure what to order so they brought out the most popular meats. I also really enjoyed the self serve area where they kept the kimchi, radish paper, salad, and meats like bulgolgi and teriyaki chicken. Our favorite meats were the marinated short ribs and prime steak. Burning X is definitely good quality meat for the price.
Very kind and attentive staff. Clean restaurant with flavorful food. It was my first time doing something like this and I enjoyed it
The quality of the meat was definitely solid here, especially for an all-you-can-eat place! The marinated prime short rib (galbi) was a highlight for me - tender and flavorful. We also really enjoyed the prime beef tongue and the pork belly. They were quick to bring out new plates of meat & changing out the grills whenever we need, which is a huge plus at these AYCE KBBQ restaurants.
if you're looking for an affordable but still yummy ayce kbbq in the tustin area, you need to check out burning x!! i recently just discovered this hidden gem and wow the meat quality is really good and lunch menu is only $21.99 the service is quick and friendly. they checked up on us constantly to change the grills or ask if we're doing ok or need more banchan/side dishes. excellent service! overall, i will be back! one of my fav kbbq spots in OC for sure!
Never been to a semi buffet kbbq restaurant before, so I was nervous yet excited. Parking: They’re located in a large plaza. Plenty of free parking spots and easy to find! Ambiance/Environment: They also have a large space with booths and tables for all sizes. It’s a very casual spot. The music is lit. We came in around 5pm, and it wasn’t as busy until the dinner rush @6-8pm. Service: Shout out to Miok and Andy! Miok spoke a little English, but she greeted us when we walked in. Andy is very knowledgeable and attentive. He explained the menu to us and offered great recommendations. Menu: They do have very specific rules, so make sure you read it before dining. You can choose between 3 options - lunch, signature, or premium. All options include the meat and salad bar. Meat & Salad Bars: I really liked the salad and meat bars! It’s really convenient for those who prefer a specific amount of meats and don’t have to constantly order it. Not only did I loaded up the meats, but I also loaded up bowls of salad and kimchi! Kitchen: We went with Option B Premium. There were 24 items from the kitchen. The meats were definitely premium! Wow! I also tried their seafood options, and it was amazing! Everything was marinated well and had lots of flavorful. Wish I could’ve taken advantage of their corn cheese, ramen, and other meats I missed, but best believe I’ll be back for more! Pricing: Definitely worth every penny! The self serve bar was my favorite part. The meats were premium as noted, and service was exceptional!
Loving the upgraded dining experience at Burning X Korean BBQ. Amazing lunch and dinner specials remain, so I had to come back for the $21.99 lunch deal! Super delicious! They have a wide selection of meats at the meat bar that you can just grab while they prepare on your kitchen orders. AND We got lots of grill changes and friendly service which were greatly appreciated. Make sure to check them out!
Come MEAT me at @burningxkbbq ! This newly opened KBBQ spot in Tustin (either replacing/rebranding the former Songhak) offers a SUPER affordable (as low as $21.99 during weekday lunch) AYCE menu that features up to 46 high quality cuts of prime-grade meats and a self-serve banchan + select marinated meat station. Personally, I was very impressed with the quality and freshness of all the cuts of meat that we tried (especially the beef brisket and Wagyu beef belly), and I would highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for high quality KBBQ on a budget in OC. Service was very attentive and friendly, and we didn’t have very long waits to replace grills/order more items, which is much appreciated for AYCE KBBQ time limits. Featured here: 🥩 prime ribeye 🥩 premium beef brisket 🥩 premium wagyu like beef belly 🥓 authentic korean spicy pork belly
Songhak is a great deal if looking for all you can eat KBBQ! It’s such a good deal there is a lunch line on a Monday afternoon! The restaurant is clean with plenty of parking to be had. There are islands with meats to choose from with some fun flavors like Hawaiian and Texas BBQ flavors. They have onions and zucchini slices as well as a salad as far as veggies go. They also have glass noodles, fried rice and other Korean specialty sides On a third table. Their menu ranges from limited small lunch offerings at $21.99 (not including islands) to a huge offering of all you can eat at $38.99. The most expensive offering has Wagyu three ways and baby octopus! Their happy hour is from 3 - 5 weekdays with half off soju and beer. The service is efficient and friendly. They can recommend you items to order if you are uncertain what is best. They will also help you decide what level of menu you would like depending on the amount you’d like to eat and the dishes offered. They come by frequently to change over your grill and make sure your water is full. All in all a good experience.
Can't beat the ALL YOU CAN EAT Lunch Special for $21.99 (Mon-Thurs 11:30am-3:00pm) 29 items including side dishes, sauces and the salad bar. We were very full and satisfied. So many marinated meats to choose from but we tried honey mustard chicken, chicken teriyaki, bulgogi, plain pork belly and etc and all were really delicious. We also enjoyed the sides too like kimchi, japchae, potato cake, fish cakes and etc. I love how you can get your own meats and sides at the salad bar and you don't have to flag down a staff. Also, staff were nice and attentive. They changed our grill without being asked and they also checked on us a few times to make sure we were okay. Interior is a little dated, but it doesn't take away from the quality and taste of their food so they get 5 stars from me and I will definitely be back. NOTE: You can choose Signature ($26.99 44 items) and Premium ($38,99 57 items) if you want to try expensive cut of meats.
Got here 10 minutes after opening and it was the perfect time to go! It was right before the rush and it was great! We started off with premium beef brisket, rib eye, and wagyu beef belly and it was all pretty delicious! I love that depending on the AYCE option you choose, you can take advantage of their buffet of sides and marinated meats. We of course had to get the steamed egg and that was pretty good! Shoutout to the team for their awesome service. They were always on it, changing our grill, and checking in on us to make sure we had what we needed. I’m definitely going back!

Came here for a Tuesday lunch and it was the best. Never experienced an AYCE KBBQ with a section to grab your own marinated meats or sides before but I highly recommend this place for that experience alone. The place was super spacious and clean and the staff were very friendly & attentive! Favorites from the kitchen menu were definitely the marinated beef belly, brisket, and corn cheese. We even ended our meal with a couple packs of Shin ramen which was a pleasant surprise and first time experience! Can't wait to be back :)
Meat quality is better than the other ayce boq that I've been to and I also like how there is a self serve bar for some meats and sides. My favorite cuts are the La Galbi and the boneless finger short ribs. Those were delicious. The basic cuts are good too like the beef belly and the brisket. Only wished they had more sides like kimchi fried rice potato salad but for the price it's great
The beef ribs were so good!!! Excellent service! Water tastes so good too idk why. Great prices. I would definitely come back
Such a great spot for lunch since it’s only $21.99. You have access to their entire marinated meat bar but if you don’t like marinated meats just keep eating their brisket and pork belly. I love the brisket it’s not dry at all and pretty high quality. If you want to upgrade I recommend trying the beef tongue! Don’t forget to eat a shin ramen at the end!

Burning X KBBQ is amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, perfectly marinated and tender. The staff were super friendly and quick! Loved the variety of meats and the fun, lively atmosphere. Definitely one of the best KBBQ spots in Tustin! Can’t wait to come back! Instagram: Ivyheartsfood

Great price! 21.99 for lunch! (But only if two or more) Otherwise you're stuck with the 26.99 menu for lunch if you're solo. The atmosphere is horrendous though. There are flies, it's dimly lit and the whole place is just run down. The service is also incredible... If you're Korean (or at least Korean passing and speak Korean), otherwise they treat you like a stray dog who's wandered in. The food itself tastes alright but not anything significant. The fact that there's this much marinade and there's flies around bodes poorly. It's also in a sketchy plaza with a bar and smoke shop so lock your cars! I would not recommend this place unless you just need massive portions that have to be self served or the Gen nearby has burned down (go there, better selection, service and same price).

Unbelievable service. The restaurant was less than 15% filled on a weeknight. We are a party of 9. 3 of us came early, they told us to wait until 7 people. 7 people arrived, but because 1 child is free, thy count us as 6. They would not accept us because 2 people are coming 20 minutes later. Their reasoning is because we have a free child meal measured by their height. It was degrading to be there. After reviewing their menu doing a walk through of their restaurant, I am blessed not to eat here. Your money is better spent just blocks away from here. We went to Italian that evening.
