The food is phenomenal, with simple yet delicious ingredients. I personally recommend the charcuterie board to share and the lasagna with meat sauce. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place feels like a refuge, warm and welcoming. I highly recommend it. The view is breathtaking, of snow-capped mountains in winter and the sun shining through the clouds.

Coming up from the sea, first via the "old" Turchino and then the Faiallo Pass, we stopped for a quick meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the quality/price ratio was excellent for what we ate. The view was spectacular!!!

This house is situated in an exceptional spot on the "Alta Via." The most beautiful sunsets are definitely here. That's what the people who live here claim. It's probably true. But what makes this place so special is the hospitality and warmth with which people live and work here. It's a true treat when a weary hiker arrives here after a long day. And then, to top it all off, guests can expect truly fantastic cuisine. Honest, true to the region, with the finest ingredients and fantastically cooked. It's wonderful to enter a house like this and enjoy it. Thank you to all the people who work here and make the stay so pleasant for the guests. It's fantastic. I look forward to seeing you again.

La Nuvola sul Mare is a true surprise: spectacular views, clean air, and a feeling of serenity that regenerates body and mind. Location? Scary narrow mountain road. Is it worth it? Absolutely! I'm writing this review a year after my visit. Mostly because I can't stop thinking about the great food and service. We're talking REAL Italian food, not the stuff my fellow Americans are used to. All locally sourced, as in the mushrooms were from their own property, the beef from next door. Even the beer was from the next county. You would have to take out loans to get a meal like this in the US, and here this place is just low key doing it. The host was amazing. You could tell he absolutely loved what he was doing. All questions about the food came with stories and great details. All of that while they were having a celebration for all of the people who helped a neighbor whose roof burned down and there were a ton of people there. I will absolutely be coming back. I have to. Or else I'll never stop dreaming about the pettole. Beds comfy, shower small, kinda typical Italian room. Don't worry about that. Because in the morning, you get breakfast! Not as good as the dinner, but still wow.

Perfect stop for a quick hike and back on the road. Nikolas was very helpful with choosing some light food and wine. Refilled our water bottle for hiking! Highly recommended restaurant.
