Happen to stop here a few months ago while taking my father to a doctors appointment up the street. The food is phenomenal! Such flavor and taste. We have been back here 3 times already and we live in Sussex county. Definitely recommend this establishment to all the locals around here. It’s a must try!!!

Last weekend we had my daughter Aubrey’s Sweet 16 Dinner at the Verona American Grill! Ever since the owner transformed this Diner into a restaurant I have been hooked on their food and their customer service! Hari the owner is a gem and his staff makes you feel VIP every time you walk in. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to frequent local businesses but this has become a home away from home. I decided to ask him if I could rent out the space for a party and he said of course and we rented it out on a Sunday eve and the whole place to ourselves! We had a family style menu filled with delicious choices, a juice bar, and delicious doughnut station. This was the best decision I could of made. The food is always good and even for a group it tasted fresh! Run don’t walk to check it out!!!

Verona American Grill is phenomenal! The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The staff (and owner) are kind and inviting. The food is absolutely delicious. If you have yet to come here, you should add a visit to your list of places to visit. I highly recommend it.

Blew our minds away. Frequent all the places in the area (avenue, parkside etc). Thought this was still a diner. Went in while getting an oil change at mavis. It is clean, the food is fresh, the portions are big. Quickly became a new favorite. You DO have to pay for bread (saw some upset people by this) however once it is put on the table you quickly understand why. Multiple kinds of flaky, delicious bread and artisanal spreads. Not your average bread basket. Wish the ascetic was less diner but definitely an upgrade from before.

Went for the first time last week with some of my family. Great food, easy parking (has a lot off Bloomfield), nice staff. Not sure if it's a regular thing but they also had live music while we were there, which provided a nice atmosphere as well. My family has already gone back with others since then who also really enjoyed it.

Went on a Wed for lunch with 2 friends at 1:15pm. A lot of nice comfortable booths and easy to have conversation. Very nice and attentive wait staff. I got an omelette with home fries. Nothing fancy but they made it fancy by sprinkling tiny chopped bell peppers on the fries. The fries were awesome, super crispy on the outside and like pillows on the inside. Also had a burger which comes with thin fries, pickle and coleslaw. Also the veggie wrap had thin fries. Everything was delicious and so fresh! Cooked to perfection. The owner was super nice and personable.

Dined here last evening for my Grandson's Birthday. His favorite meal these days is the pancakes with Nutella. We all sat down to an absolutely delicious meal. Every appetizer every entree done to perfection, and the service could not have been any better. Can't wait to get back there again. I saw a few plates walking by that looked even more amazing than ours. Go, but don't tell too many. We don't want to have a hard time getting a future reservation. ;)

We brought our kiddo in and the waitstaff were so kind to her and to us (even though she’s very loud). My husband had a really good chicken sandwich, my kid had the mickey pancake (we did too lol) and I had a green machine salad. The salad was light and crisp and perfect for a super hot day like today. Will absolutely come back

The food has been absolutely delicious every time we have gone there, I LOVE the presentation and the menu is not overwhelming. The staff are super friendly, and the manager Harilaos is extra attentive and helpful. The decor is delightful, clean, modern and cosy, the fresh flowers on the table is an added bonus. There is nothing I can say negative about this lovely local establishment which is now our now favorite place to eat. Try it out, you won't be sorry.!!

I was here last night with old and dear friends. It was very a busy Saturday night. We had the best hummus I've ever had,fried calamari, and my friend ordered bread which came out of the kitchen as a hot,crispy loaf hassle backed and buttered. I ordered the pork chop Milanese and my wife had salmon with the most delicious fresh brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. My guests were also very surprised at how great their dinners were,it being their first time here. We all had coffee espresso and deserts. The bill came to $50 per person and I gladly paid. This is a wonderful eatery. The owner took a tired Taylor ham and egg joint and turned it into a wonderful REAL restaraunt. As for Elena's review, I've read many of her reviews and she seems to give most places a bad review. Maybe she should stay home and cook and stop trying to be a food critic!

We went for brunch to celebrate my son’s 37th birthday. Great brunch menu! Everyone loved their menu choice. Staff and service was excellent! After our meal, the staff brought out a plate with 3 amazing desserts that were adorned with candles and sparklers!!! Highly recommend this restaurant. We love dinner there too!!!

I enjoyed a delicious Breakfast croissant sandwich that was clearly made with love accompanied by scrumptious thick-cut potatoes fries. My companion ate every bit of his veggie burger served with his own delicious thin-cut fries. Go ahead and visit. You'll become a regular like we just did after our 1st visit.

Thank God this restaurant is being run the correct way. We used to come here and stopped because the food was horrible. I am delighted to say that the food was amazing and the service was incredible. I had the eggs Benedict on waffles and it was amazing. My son's chicken was excellent along with the fries. My wife has a cheese omelette and she enjoyed very much. I am happy We stopped in today. The staff were all very nice smiling and there to please. The owner puts homemade chips on table and We asked and immediately received a second bowl. Don't let the diner vibes fool you - this place is super well crafted food, atmosphere, and service. The staff go out of their way to provide great service, the decor is tranquil Mediterranean blue farmhouse, and I can't quite put my finger on what about the food was so exceptional. It's not that the menu is all that unique, just made really well. The hummus plate was perfectly composed with olive oil and seasoning and toasted pita. The crunchy burger was over the top with crunchy onions and creamy avocado. The onion soup walked the line between salty and sweet just right. The flatbread was something extra with ricotta and balsamic glaze and prosciutto. The kids meals came with a fruit cup that had 6 different kinds of fruit (you feel me right? kids meal fruit cups are always 90% melon). Even the strawberry lemonade was just somehow the best I've had. Get over here before the word gets out and they get their liquor license.

Just so much care both for our guests and the food. 5-stars every time we go (I do wish they would slightly “enhance” the lighting and or decor a tiny bit (impactful wall paper maybe?) just to match the menu and everything else. The bread was fresh and delicious, tuna tartare very good, burger was very large and great flavor as well as grilled chicken cooked and seasoned to perfection. We're lucky to have this restaurant in our community!

Food was awesome. I tend to find places with smaller more focused menus the kitchen understands what they do well. I was annoyed I couldn’t get a beer but I’m an out of towner and didn’t realize Verona Inn was literally a block away. Service was nice. Plenty of time to chat and relax with no pressure to clear the table. Prices were a bit high but that’s everyone now.

This is such a great place! We are in town for our daughter's college orientation and were looking for places to eat. This came up and the reviews were so good so we tried it out. It is a stand alone restaurant in an adorable downtown area. Our waitress was super friendly. She read specials for the evening. We had tuna tartar and crab stuffed mushrooms, mushrooms were a special. Appetizers came out right away and were delicious. For main meals we had pasta bolognese, steak frites, shrimp tacos and carbonara burger. It was all amazing. Highly recommend this place!! If in the area try it out we are definitely going to come back!

As a second generation Greek American, I have a softspot for Greek owned restaurants. Harry is an extraordinary Greek from the island of Carpothos in Greece and brings a wonderful array of delicious appetizers, soups, salads, sandwhiches and entrees to the menu, both lunch and dinner. Last night was even more a treat as a well known, local and talented musician, Vinnie Ferrone entertained the diners for 2 hours of continuous easy listening music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond. From the outside, it looks like a small little diner. When you enter, it is a very different vibe, with one reviewer on their website calling it a new modern/american diner. Great care and thought went into the customer experience - the colors in the restaurant, the design elements, the flatware, glasses, the plates, the flowers, candles on the tables, and even the ice in the drinks. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. My salmon and string beans were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes were the creamiest mashed potatoes I've ever eaten. My boyfriend got the Wagyu Burger, with parmesan fries, and said it was one of the top two best burgers he's ever eaten, and the fries were crispy and delicious. We tried the walnut cake for dessert, and we were not disappointed. It was phenomenal. My son was coming over for dinner the next night, so we brought home walnut cake, brownies, and orange cake for him to try. All of them were amazing. I also have to say that the service was impeccable!

One of the most popular restaurants in Verona DT! We’ve been here many times that we can tell this is local favorite place to hang out and socialize. The owner seems like premium league soccer game, quite not common lol! Menu is concise and to the point, reasonable prices for most of the foods listed. Great customer service as always, also a relatively private parking garage for about 20 cars. Overall a good place to go.

Host and waitstaff, we're very nice and helpfull. I knew the place as a diner 40yrs ago! It's come a long way as far as food and atmosphere. I ordered the chicken shish kabobs, tasty but the chicken was a little overcooked, my date ordered the hamburger 🍔 w/ all the works and really enjoyed it!

Terrific little restaurant. Visited several times and the food is typically very good. The service is even better. They had a live, 2 man band playing, which was a very nice touch. Burgers are great, if not a little pricey. Everything seems fresh, although a fish dish may have been frozen. Either way, this place is definitely on the rotation when in the mood for something a notch or 2 above a diner.

Rethink the crab cake mix to have more crab in it Management The only thing that felt a bit strange was that the owner or manager seemed to be there and i think he spoke to all the other tables, but he never spoke to us until he waved goodbye as we exited. It could have been a ‘coincidence’ but the place is small and there were only 5 tables with a party. Either way I would return because the price margin was good for the food that was given and the service made you feel right at home.

Came here on a Wednesday night, and the restaurant was mostly empty, which made for a relaxing meal. We were greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. The menu offers a little bit of everything, and they also had some specials if you’re looking for something off-menu. I have to say, the service was excellent—friendly and attentive. The place has a cozy, upscale diner vibe, which added to the overall experience. As for the food, it was solid. I ordered the steak frites. The steak was cooked perfectly, which is impressive considering it wasn’t a thick cut. I would have given five stars, but I think a different cut of steak would have elevated the dish, especially for the price.

072223 ordered the 10.00 Onion Soup, broth was delicious, however there was no soup? Less then 1/4 of the bowl was filled. Enjoyable, but not a lot to fully enjoy. Broth was delicious. 3:00 ish, full house of families and friends enjoying their day.

It was our first time visiting and thought that it was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We watched the service staff take the clean silverware and polish it with cloth, something you don't see at diner type restaurants We found the food to be good, but felt the meal was expensive for the portion given. Ordered vegetable wrap for $16 with side of coleslaw $5, i felt that the wrap was a bit pricy for veggies with some hummus. We were charged $4 for fountain drinks. My wife ordered a burger for $18. On average, the meal for our visit came to about $46 before tax.

My dinner was delicous! Chicken was cooked to perfection. Wonderful use of light lemony spices - enjoyed it very much. The service -- much to be desired. Entire staff (including the owner) more interested in talking to each other. Eating at the counter, sharing spoons of ice cream with each other, etc. It was only at the end of my meal did I feel appreciated as a guest at their restaurant. Given the meal was so delicious i'll try again on a different day -- maybe it will feel better.

My hubby ordered a steak omlette with potatoes and toast. The egg was cooked hard and had no seasoning. The toast was hard and was not buttered. I ordered chicken and waffles. The waffles were delicious. They served 2 chicken patties with the waffles. That was very disappointing. What happened to the wings?? I wanted to patronize this establishment but I think I am one and done. Service was great. Great customer service. They just need a better cook.

Doesn't seem they changed much from the Verona Diner (seating). They have TVs that display a fireplace. A totally different menu of course then Verona Diner, and higher prices. Had Spare ribs and short ribs. The BBQ sauce was mostly ketchup in flavor, didn't taste much of a BBQ flavor. The meat was good, not dried out, on either of the items. I would not bother going back due to the higher price, and flavor or items.

We had several people mention that place so we decided to go for a dinner and what a disappointment it was! It was an early Saturday night . We were really hungry. Herb fried mozzarella was noticeable either from a frozen supermarket section or fried in a terrible quality many-times-used before oil. It was despicable. The lamb shank I ordered was not fresh , the cheapest veggies (carrots and zucchini) and orzo. Gosh, how sad. My husband's french filet mignon was really bad. He ordered it with mash potatoes which came....from the box. I mean, how difficult it is to cook real mash potatoes, not from a dry starch. One does not need any skills to do it. My husband could not eat it, so he asked for a piece of bread. We got charged for it! I asked if they had ANY deserts that were made in-house. It was a rice pudding. We did not dare to try. Needless to say, first and last time in this place. Unreasonably expensive too. That terrible dinner cost us $100 (before tip). One appetizer and two very very bad entries.

I just visited for lunch and the server was very pleasant but I was not happy with the billing. I ordered a crunchy burger which I believe said $19 in the menu I was charged $20. I asked if I could substitute a side salad for the french fries I was told yes, but was not told that it would be three additional dollars to do so. Honestly, the cost of french fries and making them is probably the same as a side salad so I don’t know why there’s an up charge anyways. But minimally the customer should be told that it will be an up charge, The meaning of substitution just means substitute at no additional cost. My friend ordered a burger with bacon and Swiss, and they coded it as a signature burger, adding bacon and Swiss cheese at the cost of four dollars for the bacon, my goodness!, And a dollar for the cheese I imagine the signature burger comes with cheese on it so I don’t know why it cost more for Swiss cheese?? And of course the side salad for his was charged three dollars extra. So all in all for 2 hamburger combo lunches With no drinks I paid $60 with a $8 tip. Don’t think I’ll be visiting you again.

Went there for brunch. Staff was attentive right at the beginning, but then wasn't really around for refills after we got our food. Checked on us 1 time. Food was very basic. Avocado toast didn't have much flavor. Waffles were nothing really fancy. Wagyu Truffle burger had very little to no truffle flavor. Salads were really small. Challah French Toast was good, but again, nothing fancy.

This used to be my absolute favorite diner, but lately the menu changes have been disappointing. The first time I came, I had the best shoestring fries I’ve ever had—crisp, thin, and perfect. The next time I came back, they had already been swapped out for regular fries. Still, I became a regular and found my go-to favorites: the Cuban, the short rib tacos, and the short rib grilled cheese. When I came in today, all of those items were gone from the menu. I ended up just having a coffee and leaving. Removing staples like slow-cooked pork or beef feels like an odd choice. I understand times are hard for restaurants and costs are high, but those dishes are what made Verona unique and worth seeking out. Shrimp tacos or regular burgers I can get at any diner. Please seriously consider bringing back the old menu items that set you apart.

Ordered from this place tonight and the food was not good. Chicken sandwich and shrimp taco had a strange taste to both. Disappointed to say the least, especially for the price we paid for this meal. Will not order again.

I with was a group of four people. I ordered the shrimp risotto and it was great. On the other hand two of my friends ordered the prime steak sandwich and the other ordered the crunchy burger. Which they said tasted fine, the next day all three of them had food poisoning. The owner of this restaurant is now accusing a good friend of mine of lying and never eating there. This deception is not okay. We did in fact dine in for our New Year’s Eve meal. I would stay away from anything meat at this restaurant or stay away in general. The service was also not great! Servers getting on phones and texting while we waited for our bill. Just looking at us while we waited as well. Sadly disappointed because the atmosphere of this restaurant was great.

Got the steak sandwich and my friend got A burger there both medium rare. We both have food poisoning now. This is the worst pain I’ve been in not happy at all. If you want food poisoning eat at this place! And now since you said that I never visited your place. I was there Tuesday around 6 PM I was with two guys and one girl. Me and the girl both got steak sandwiches. One of us got a cheeseburger. And another one had this rice shrimp thing. We all have food poisoning. We went there because we were up there for New Year’s and the fact that you said that I’ve never eaten at your restaurant. Shows the type of man you are. You can’t take criticism. and for you to call me a horrible person An honest review once again shows you the type of man you are you are selfish, and you are a coward.
