If you make one single stop in Portovenere make it this one. Drinks on the seaside patio at sunset with complementary snacks is so relaxing you'll wish you lived next door. The service was lightning fast and efficient, the aperol was refreshing and perfect strength, and the view and people watching was the cherry on top. We ordered 2 affogato coffee, an orange juice and a couple of pastries 1 pistachio sfogliatella and 1 cinnamon roll with raisins. All delicious! Homemade ice-cream on affogato coffee was amazing. It was early in the morning and it was a fast service, only some couples were sitting at the moment. Friendly staff.

At first we were kinda distractet by all those bad reviews, but after making our own experience here there is but to say that the bar is by far not the cheapest, however you get a lot in addition for what you pay for. Which means you get served a lot of very tastey and authentic snacks completely for free, so the price is fair enough and the view and atmosphere speak for themselves.

Not sure why the bad reviews for the service, but the gentleman running around outside was doing a great job. We got our order in a few minutes from sitting, our drink came out a minute later and it was packed. It's Italy, if you're not accustomed to it, you're supposed to sit and enjoy.

Great experience! We picked up two focaccia paninis (salami and prosciutto with cheese) plus a beer and an aperol spritz (which the bartender recommended). All was delicious- the paninis were made fresh, were very simple and not heated. Cocktail was refreshing! The takeaway service was friendly and quick.

The snacks included with the drinks are great, as is the view and atmosphere. But a note to the owner: At prime time only 2 waiters for 30 tables!? They are fast, but the potential would be much greater if you hired 1-2 more waiters to make every guest feel satisfied and respected. A nice bar to escape from the heat and the thirst. It has big terrace along the sea, Service was quick compared to its size. To get the menu, you just have to scan the barcode. They were plenty of things to choose from sweet to salty, drink to eat, hot to cold. Waiter speaks English. Aperol splits came with 5 dishes of apéritive. We were not sure the price was included so we didn’t touch as we were not hungry neither. At the end it was not included in the bill so I believe it was included. Not bad isn’t?! 🍹🍸🍻

Very nice spot where we can see the island in its entirety, the sea far away, people swimming and suntanning, walking by, and the colourful Porto Venere. Our spritz' were served with five cups of crisps, olives and the like. The service was quick. There is space for our kid to walk around.

Leggo solo adesso le recensioni negative e cioè dopo una settimana che vi siamo stati.Personalmente non siamo stati trattati male ma si respira una aria pesante e credo che basti pochissimo per essere trattati male. Avevo chiesto il bagno e con fare perentorio e facce scure mi hanno detto di aspettare fuori (causa COVID)un modo per non averti tra i piedi. Sono da capire chi lavora avendo tante persone da servire di corsa il titolare sul collo e sicuramente non appagati economicamente.Dimenticavo l’aperitivo senza lode e senza infamia buono tutto sommato.

Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo, tappa fissa quando si arriva in porto. Se arrivi a Portovenere, è il posto giusto per bere una cosa, vista sul mare e molti posti disponibili. Attenzione ai periodi di alta stagione, molto affollato nei weekend.

Terrazza in pergolato davvero carina in riva al mare. Aperitivo nella media , gelato molto buono! Unica pecca un po' la mancanza di attenzione dal personale, visto che eravamo in pochi in quel momento.

Io pensavo fosse il caso, ma a leggere le recensioni degli altri evidentemente le mie impressioni non erano sbagliate. Difficilmente lascio recensioni negative, ma in questo caso mi sembra giusto: abbiamo preso un semplice gelato, anche buono, ma il modo superficiale di porsi, e di trattare diversamente chi ha il coperto e chi no non lo posso sopportare. Che sia il cameriere a decidere poi non l'avevo mai sentita.... Capisco lo stress in una località turistica, ma sono i turisti che vi portano i soldi!!!

IMBARAZZANTE Un servizio pessimo, un ragazzino imbarazzante che ti accoglie, dopo 15 minuti di attesa che ho gentilmente chiesto di ordinare, il ragazzo continuava ad ignorarmi e non felice, quando per l’ennesima volta ho richiesto come dovessi fare per ordinare, ha voltato le spalle praticamente mandandomi a quel paese. Posto pessimo, servizio pessimo, imbarazzante è davvero riduttivo.

Anche io come altre persone se avessi letto le recensioni non mi sarei mai avvicinata, ma purtroppo la posizione centrale mi ha portato ad entrare. Nonostante la mia amica avesse già consumato, per accedere al bagno ho deciso di consumare un gelato. Passi il venirmi a bussare al bagno per averci messo leggermente più della media (voglio pur credere alla buona fede di preoccuparsi che fosse tutto ok), esco dal bagno e scelgo il gusto del gelato, nel mentre che il gelato viene preparato comunico di andare al tavolo a prendere il portafoglio per pagare. Torno, pago e non mi viene fatto lo scontrino, ma sul momento non me ne accorgo. Esco e rientro qualche ora dopo ordinando un succo di frutta al bancone. Dovendo riandare nuovamente al bagno (bagno veramente molto stretto) e avendo già una borsetta da bagno in mano, non avevo portato dentro il portafoglio, così avviso nuovamente di andare a prendere il portafoglio per pagare. Neanche riesco a prendere la borsa che vengo seguita fuori dalla presumo titolare come la peggiore delle ladre per 3 euro di succo al mirtillo e accusata di star facendo la furba (sicuramente ogni ladro di succo di mirtillo avvisa di andare a prendere il portafoglio per pagare). Non contenta della pessima figura, insiste anche facendomi le pulci quando le faccio notare che entrare con tutta la borsa nel bagno era fisicamente impossibile, facendomi la paternale sul mio zaino lasciato incustodito sugli scogli (cosa mai accaduta e che tra l'altro non la riguardava). Una figura veramemte barbina quella della signora, grande maludecazione dal primo all'ultimo secondo dentro al bar. Invece di pensare al mio zaino o di accusare la gente di rubare, consiglio alla titolare di controllare la regolare emissione degli scontrini.

Aperitivo il 25 aprile. 1 Pimm's Cup e 3 spritz che gridano vendetta da quanto erano mal fatti. 36€, prezzo assurdo e decisamente eccessivo. Ad ogni modo personale gentile.

Worst service experience ! Horrible waiters, they yelled at me for going to the toilets before ordering… And then we bought 2 cups of ice cream, 2 flavours each and we paid 14€… the ice cream was not even good, pretty sure they bought it it’s not artisanal… Won’t come back, but the view is pretty, that’s why we stayed, At this date this is still the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant.... RUN, RUN FAR AWAY

Lovely view and location… however massive shame that the waiter decided to kill a pigeon with a broom in front of us (plus families with young children!) No excuse for abusing any type of animal!! If you don’t like birds on the decking area eating the leftovers, the simple solution would be to clear the tables faster... Have a word with that scambag waiter that thinks killing animals is acceptable.
