Café Balearica was a great time, drinks are reasonably priced, the vibe is immaculate, great for dancing with friends or bringing a date. I did not try the food, but will definitely be back to try it. (Entrance fee is cash as well as coat check)

Celebrated my birthday at Café Balearica on 8/29 and it was amazing! Maggie helped me with the reservations and was awesome—so kind, helpful, and even let me bring my own cake 🎂. We had about 30 people upstairs, and the staff was incredible (huge kudos to the bartender and barback!). Drinks were great, everyone loved them, and the vibe upstairs was perfect. Had such a fun time. Highly recommend this spot!

Balerica is a vibe!!! One of the very few places in Williamsburg that has an identity. Always amazing music and good people. The owners are both legends, long established barmen in NYC who finally got their own spot and it’s exceeded expectations. The staff are friendly hardworking people. Easily the best bar in Williamsburg. Some of the negative review I find funny. “It’s too loud, it’s busy, takes too long to get a drink, they didn’t have food, i didn’t get special treatment etc etc” Please do not be put off by the Karen’s. I promise you if you’re good vibes, you’ll love it. Balerica is for everyone ❤️

Overall rating: 4.4 I saw an influencer eat here, so naturally I thought it was a popular place. When I went for the happy hour, it was just me haha. Awkward. Somehow I thought being the only customer meant reasonable service, but it was still somehow slow. The happy hour is a joke though because they serve you in a small size. I somehow thought it was going to get more crowded throughout the night but it was quiet. I went on a Friday with a friend and my 9pm, a comedian was trying to convince us to go to his show downstairs. Not sure if this is the place for me.

Love this spot… atmosphere is great, drinks are great, staff is attentive. It’s usually a good spot to hang and catch up w friends, and a great little club space downstairs. Here tonight and the music on the top floor is just too loud to have a convo without screaming. If I wanted to dance and not talk to my friends, I’d be at a club. Turn it down a notch. Great spot generally though.

Drinks were super meh. Got a frozen drink and it was sooooo sweet. Got two gin tonics and neither of them had gin? Made with vodka. It was super packed but the vibe was right. Super fun atmosphere to go dancing, but the music was mediocre, and kinda hard to dance to :(

Very techno and hipster vibes! This place had no food but their drinks are yummy. It’s two floors with a really dope downstairs seating area. The bouncer & bar staff were friendly. And responsive. However, the lady who was overseeing at the time was rude and dishonest. She lied about the promotion that their having and gave to some people but made the other people wait. Kinda feel like it’s because we don’t identify with the general demographic of races… If you’re looking to kill time and grab a drink before going some where else in the area, feel free to stop by but overall it’s mid!

Saturday night I showed up at midnight. 4 frat looking guys were getting removed from the. premises. Doorman asks me for a $10 cover fee, meanwhile I'm a girl and it's a sausage fest in there. My friend goes to coat check and is met with a rude attitude. Boy do I need a drink after that! Except... I go to the bar and we ask for a. double shot in our drink. WELP <3 THE BARTENDER SAID NO!!!! With one shot in the drink I decided to make the forbidden second shot a second shot at redemption. I go down to the club. area and am immediately met by Temu Lauren Sanchez on the prowl for a man within the ages of 55-Death. She def found it, as there were plenty to go around. Take your pick! I spent a total of 23 minutes in this establishment and it was a horrible 23 minutes at that. The reason I didn't give one star is cus it wasn't dirty inside and security was competent enough to kick out misbehaved men.

He also said "I should have waited to post my review". He came up with a story "that they found the money on the ground" but somehow that wasn't caught on camera.

The music was great and this place was a lot of fun for the most part, but unfortunately they do not do enough to promote a safe space. I was here with a fairly large group, about 50/50 men and women. There was a guy that was clearly a creep on the downstairs dance floor. He would repeatedly come up behind women in our group and others, touch them without their consent, rub up on them, and touch men in weird ways too. He never spoke a word and was seemingly on his own. We had enough of this guy, so I went to find the nearest staff, a shorter latino gentleman working the bathrooms with a skin fade. I explained the situation and he responded “this is part of night life, some guys may come across a little strong – don’t try to be a hero.” He told me to grab the women and make them attest, which I was too disgusted to do. One can come across strong and have a fun time with other groups without being disrespectful. This employee should be fired immediately for thinking it’s okay to say that and this place should put a stronger emphasis on things that actually promote a better environment. It’s a shame. The music was quite good.
